Canadian Tire tire installation

At your Woodstock, NB store, near the end of August, I bought a set of General Evertrek tires and had them installed. A short while later I noticed a faint "ticking" sound that would come and go. Over the next 5-6 weeks it became more and more audible and I suspected a front wheel axle shaft. Took it to a mechanic who proceeded to show me he could unscrew the lug nuts by hand for 1 wheel. He said I was probably days away from having the tire fall off with potentially fatal results. He was aware that CT garage staff often torque the nuts with the vehicle on the hoist, when it should be done with the wheels on the ground. Obviously I am not happy with this and often have my grandchildren with me. I suggest you tune up your service manager at this location before somebody gets killed and you get sued.

Canadian Tire return

my mom went to return two unused items while i was at work. keyword; UNUSED. she was able to return one but the employee refused to refund the other product claiming "it had been used" and forced my mother to exchange it and on won't let her return this unnecessary item that she forced my mom to buy by writing "exchange only" on the receipt. the customer service is terrible there, with extremely rude employees, and terrible management. i know how customer service works and i know for a fact if she was able to take it back for an exchange, she could've taken it back for a return.

Canadian Tire rude service

At CT in West Saint John NB today. Was going to buy a deer hunting licence. No one was working the counter in the hunting section so found a woman who paged someone. After more waiting I was approached by a second woman dressed differently, likely management I presume. Again told her I was looking to buy a licence so she paged someone again. I informed her I had to e at work in 20 mins. Finally an older man showed up and asked if he could help. The management lady informed him politely that I only had 20 min now. He abruptly told me that I should have come earlier then. I was pissed and told him to forget it. He said even louder to just give him my Outdoors Card. I said I was leaving and taking my business elsewhere. My shadow will never darken their doorway again you can be asdured!

Warranty kicks in and Shane (service center) adivised they would change the four tires and costing 287.00 for labour ( lol). The day of the change ( Shane not working that day)they only changed 2 tires and charged me 180.00? Saying the the variance in mm were with in there limits. When I got home I check myself and there was a 4mm variant.

They lied to me to suite there benefit

Canadian Tire manager on duty 10/1/2018 8:30pm unethical behaviour

My wife and I, along with our 2 month old baby girl entered into the Canadian Tire Store In Capilano 9847 50 St NW, Edmonton tonight just after 8PM. Our baby was in her infant seat which was placed into the stroller. My wife had a diaper bag that is small back pack style. As we walked into the store by the returns/customer service counter, there was a customer being served by a young male. As we walked past the counter from the entrance the cashier yelled out "Do you need that backpack ? " My wife and I turned and said it's our diaper bag for our infant... yes we do. Than the young male replied "I'll need to search it on your way out " while he was serving another customer. The customer being served said to the young male, Do you think she came into the store to steal with her baby? The clerk replied... You would be surprised the amount of theft we get in here, there is a group we call the "stroller gang" whom come into the store to steal and take advantage of their babies. After this unprofessional remark, I could not believe this was happening in an establishment such as Canadian Tire. I then requested to speak with a Manager. An older female came to the front of the store where customers where standing and began to tell me that the young male was correct is requesting the diaper bag from my wife. She said the store general manger which I won't state his name set this as a store policy. I said yes we really look like we are here to rob the place. She said "well... if all thieves walked in with a hat on stating I am a thieve she would not have to do this." At this point I was very frustrated as my wife and I looked as if we were trying to potentially shop lift and using our infant child as a pawn of some sort. By now customers where lining up trying to get checked out and NO store clerks where around so they all were witnessing this unprofessional and embarrassing scene. My family and I left the store totally lost for words from the way management treated us. We could totally understand the young male as he is required to be managed and trained on how to approach certain situations but the female manager who said she was a long term employee totally blew our minds. My wife and I are both business professionals . Attached is the information for transaction that took place during this situation.

Canadian Tire credit card

I applied for a mc and they sent me a letter saying that I am have been approved and I need to go to canadian tire store to verify my identity. I take time to go to a branch to get verification done then after a week I received a credit card. I called to activate it then they are saying that I have been declined. I don't understand, if they had to decline me why would they make go through all. Also they reported to my credit agency that I have opened a credit card account.

Ridiculous service. They need to do their full homework before approving or declining someone. I am not pissed off about getting declined but the fact is that why would they made me go through all and sent me a physical card in my home.

Worst service ever! Never shopping with canadian tire again ever in my life and I will def our this on my social media aswell!

He also said that since it was the only one on the shelf he cannot give it to me for that price. He said that if there were more on the shelf he would give it to me. He said a customer must have left it there after taking it from the shelf. He then directed me to the other shelf where there were four priced at $169. Well it is not my fault. If the customer left it there he should have given it to me for $109 since they should have put it back.

Canadian Tire auto disservice

Went into Canadian Tire Sept 8th 2018. My check engine light was on . Had the mechanic do a Engine fault Code Retrieval & Diagnostics test.
They road tested my vehicle and told me that I have to take my Jeep to the dealership to have PCM flashed.

All is fine and vehicle is running well.

I go to put washer fluid in my jeep and notice my engine cover is missing!
I go back to Canadian tire thinking it's no big deal and it will be at the shop, I just need to retrieve it.

I go to Canadian tire and talk to Henry in the auto service department. They can't find it and they don't want to take responsibility for losing it.
They don't want to look at the camera footage and I kept going in circles trying to resolve the problem but Henry would not budge. I left Canadian tire very frustrated and angry .

Canadian Tire pro-mix stim root

The Canadian Tire located on Smythe St, in Fredericton NB showed 36 bottles of Pro-Mix Stim Root in stock. When I asked the employee working in the gardening department to assist me in finding it, she went into the stock room and came back with a different and completely unrelated product. Upon informing her of this she simply said, "Well, we don't have any." Even though she was looking for a completely different thing she wouldn't go back and take another look. I called the store and asked if there were any in stock and the rep at the customer service desk said, "We have loads" She transferred me to the gardening department where I was serviced by the same woman who assisted me before who rudely told me, "I already told you we don't have any."
This complaint is partly on behalf of the rude employee and the incorrect stock available. This is a common occurrence with this location.

Canadian Tire customer service

Almost every employee spends their time chatting to other employees, rather than assisting them. I had someone do a price check for me on a dresser, (because the wrong price was posted, and the price is the only reason I chose this dresser over another, ) but they stopped to chat along the way. So I went back and did the price check for them myself, using a picture as proof. As I did this, I saw the guy who was supossed to perform the price check, to another employee and they started giggling and staring when I decided to do it myself. It was already irritating enough that we carried it all the way to the front just for them to tell us we have to pay more than advertised..them prolonging our trip just made me more irritated, as well as them making fun of the fact that I was doing their job for them. They then continued to argue that it was 40 bucks higher because one was white and one was brown. They called the manager (Pat, ) to try and fix it but all the manager did, was say "prices stay the same, " and walked away without even making eye contact with us. Never have I ever experienced such bad customer service in my life. Everyone there seems very incompetent, and ignorant to their customers.

Canadian Tire auto service

22 Sept 2018 I went to Canadian tire auto service at University mall with my Pontiac Torrent 2006. I stated the problem that my cars fron rt brake holds occasionally on hot day. They decided a test drive without asking me that cost 109 dollars. After test drive the mechanic told me that the car has many safety issues and it will cost 3000 dollars to fix completely. I was surprised. Then I asked then to repair only brakes and the charge 840 dollars for front brakes and removed the drive shaft by 140 dollars (included in that 840) made my AWD a FWD. After finishing the mechanic told me that the drive shaft hanger was bad. Is this a true reason to modify my car? After I left the store I called them to stop the work on my car. When I left they told it may takes 4 hours. After an hour after start I asked them to stop work they replied that italmost done and they cant stop now. They will finish all that I approved. I was helpless. I am a student. I have no job. But then I was nothing as I signed a piece of paper. They pushed the trigger of their gun. They cant wait of making money. They told me that the rt front brake hose was bad but thay changed many things about brake. They scared me about safety that forced me to sign the paper. They grabbed my right to change my decision as a customer. They didnt discuss enough to help me to take a decision. I took my drive shaft and I will go to other mechanic to know about it. They told me it will take about [protected] cad parts + 500 cad service and tax) dollars to replace the drive shaft. Getting home I googled it and I saw A1Auto sell it about 350 us dollars. I went their assuming they are good. Are they well enough? Do they respect their client Who spend on them? I am Gopal my mobile no is [protected].

Canadian Tire automotive service

Complaint : The put the wrong car details in the work order, they gave me someone else's car keys, and the BIG issue They did something to cause my engine light to come on? and When i went back to get them to fix it they were too busy to address it, The manager Steve was there with another customer and he could hear how upset but did not bother to look at me or address the issue.

Told me no code scan issued, alternator good, spark plugs good, but they ran out of time to diagnose the rough idling, so i booked next day for more service.

During my drive home the brakes did not work well, and on a hill in reverse gear when i put the brakes on to check them the car kept moving. The Ebrake was not adjusted because you can drive forward and backward with the stick up.

I took it in next morning to complain about the brakes and ebrake they said they would look at it no charge, and their diagnosis was oh they "JUST need to Break in ", I said no that is BS brakes need to work right away my car needs to be safe immediately. They wont work on it further and ebrake still bad. They didnt do the Engine stain to find out where potential oil leak is that they mentioned previous day, however after another diagnosis on my engine they recommended Leak down Test and Compression test to check idling issue, and tell me they see oil in radiator fluid which they did not mention the day before? They check the spark plugs again? using up time on my next service when they can be looking up other issues?

I am royally pissed and I want they to look over my car again and not charge me another dime and fix what they messed up

Canadian Tire oil change

Hi.

I just got my oil changed and it took 1hr30 mins to change my oil from the time the car got into the garage. I find that unreasonable and ridiculous. I can go to another shop and get it done in 30. I will no longer be going to this shop for any of my car needs with this kind of service. No update. Just someone coming for my to spend more even thou I said I only wanted a oil change from the start. The price of 90$ is also 30$ higher than any other car dealership or mechanic that I've been too with over 4 cars in 15 years of driving.

Canadian Tire high pressure sales tactics by in store or at the pumps mobile credit card application guys...

Why is Canadian Tire resorting to these high pressure guys? I am disappointed that the venerable Canadian Tire store has seen it fit to hire these guys to harass us in store and at the pumps. They force you into applying for stuff, tell us it will take 30 seconds and then when you agree, oops they neglected to say that you actually have to go in to make a purchase, don't explain things well and you are left feeling cheated! This has now happened to me twice and I am not impressed. Surely Canadian Tire could instead send us a package to consider in the comfort of our own home when it's convenient for us?. This has happened in the Kirkland Lake store and at the pumps in Deep River...

Canadian Tire automotive center

Feb 2018 - Leaside Toronto - I had a wheel bearing replaced
Sept 2018 - Amherstburg, Ontario - I had another wheel bearing replaced

Leaside charges me for 3 hours of service
Amherstburg charges me for 1.3 hours

I phoned the Leaside store on Sept 11th Peter got back to me on the 12th
The Service Manager in Toronto - Peter admits to overcharging me for .4 hours but said the computer says my make of vehicle says 3 hours...sorry but in my world that is illegal billing. There was no mechanic under my car for 3 hours. You are charging based on what a computer says. Also I asked Peter to have the store manager call me.
I then receive a voicemail from Peter stating that he and the store manager have discussed it and they would like to invite me in to show me how they are correct.
More than once I told Peter I do not live in Toronto anymore. I then left Peter a message to have the Store Manager call me (as I originally requested) that still has not happened to this day. The way I see it I was over charged 1.7 hours of maintenance . I hope to hear from somebody soon

thanking you in advance
Sherry Knight

Canadian Tire bicycle

Hello Concern,

My name is Vasudev I just bought out a Bicycle from your store in Brampton on 16 September 2018.
I am just caught in dangerous accident due to irresponsible nature of staff as they did not did the finishing as well newer told me that before driving this u should check all the screws and parts as they are properly tight or not.
The whole incident is like that I am driving the bicycle on the sidepath and from tyre comes out and I fall on the ground and I got many injuries as well on my chick and knees as well.
This is god's blessings that I on very slow speed so that I didn't got seriously injured.
Just think if I am driving that bicycle on more speed or if I am driving that on road and that incident on that time, can u imagine the consiquences of that.
I may be seriously injured or even worse. So who will take responsibility about that.
This is how u treat your customers life.
I think u company is well organised company.
I am looking for justice for myself so none can go into life threatening situation like me in future.

Canadian Tire auto service

I went to canadian tire last month for my car, engine light is showing up. They fixed it and charged me almost 2000 bucks and they call me that it is ready for pick up. And after that they said that there is problem with the oil licking. They asked me if they want me to fix it and i said yes just fixed every damaged of it. After three weeks while i was driving the oil sign is showing up . The oil volume was good but the oil was very dark. I went to canadian tire for them to questioned about it, they said that they need to change the sensor for it, that will cause me 200 plus bucks. They are charging me a lot for their service that made a damage for my car, i said no its ok because they are not sure if it is really the issue for it, i dont trust their service anymore. I Cried infront of them because of the time and money that was lose because of their service. My salary for 2 months was gone because of this incident.

Canadian Tire auto service

Hi there,
My name is Battsagaan Galtsog and i love to shop to the Canadian Tire Store.
I do have 2 more complaint about the Automotive Service Department the #200-388 Country Hills Blvd N.E Calgary, AB.

I went one of Canadian Tire Store in Calgary, AB. Address is #200-388 Country Hills Blvd N.E on September 10.2018. I paid $52.49 for the Uber vehicle inspection on Tuesday Sep.10.2018. But they said should need re-inspection within 3 days and above 100km then it would be free of charge next time. Because needed change and replace couple more things for my car. Then i made next appoinment at the service desk that day for Thursday 9am Sep.13.2018.
I came on Thursday 9am at the store, one of stuff said there is no appointment under my name that time and date. Also said wait till 10am someone will help. I waited till 10am. After 10am one of mechanic re-inspected and passed.

After re-inspection done, one of stuff asked me to pay payment of this re-inspection payment which is $52.49. I said i wouldn't pay because one of stuff told me that re-inspection would be free of charge next time when i drove above 100km and within 3 days. They didn't get my key and inspection paper hold them for while then i paid $52.49 cause time was valueble and spent lot of time that store.

Can you resolve this situation for me, please

Why did they said that i wouldn't pay next re-inspection payment within 3 days and above 100km?, why they didn't and hold my key and inspection paper?. They weren't professional customer service and made 2 mistakes one of the time.
Can you contact me at [protected].
Thank you,

Canadian Tire online purchase delay for 2 weeks

First of all, I love Canadian Tire, but with this very bad experience I feel like I am losing my trust with them. I made an online order (a set of Tires) at Canadian Tire to be picked up at Country Hills Calgary Store.
It is stated that it will be ready for pick up in 1-5 days. Now, it will be 2 weeks from the date that I ordered it. Below are my order details:
Thank you for your purchase!
Order Number: [protected]*

Order Date: 2018-8-28 11:25PM (AST)

Items Ordered: 1

Store Pickup Location: CALGARY COUNTRY HILLS, AB Store Details ›

Order Status: In Progress

since the day of purchase until at this very moment, when I will check my order status it is "In Progress".

is Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Tire so hard to find? or is it made to order?
I have not driven my car while waiting for those tires because I am too scared that the side wall damage to one of my tires will get worse. I live close to Country Hills Canadian Tire so I prefer this store. I called the customer service last Friday and was told my tires is in transit last September 3. so It's been a week now and I still got nothing. I called my local store as per advise of the customer service but they have not received my tires yet. I am really unhappy with this inconvenience. They do not even contact you of the delay or issue/s about your order. you need to call them and wait at least 30 minutes to get connected or e-mail them and get a reply for days and won't even provide a proper info of my order. I bet I deserve a big discount for this (though it won't suffice with the inconvenience it brought me). I just want my tires and honesty about my order. I am telling everyone I know not to do the same mistake I made.
