auto parts / re rotor for car
At grant shopping ctr. I am buying my friend's car. He went there to buy the parts for me. As he lives out of town and I had the car and I was getting the car fixed I went to pick up the parts his car needed which he paid for. They gave me 1 rotor that was paid for. So I had to buy that out of my own pocket. I asked him to give me 60 % off he said yes but didnt do it. We needed 2 rotors and now I was not going to be reimbursed for me 30 $ cuz they made the mistake or not giving the owner chris 2 rotors. Chris had the list of parts to get from midas so there was no mistake on our part. It was clear what car and what was needed. Then my son who lives very far was fixing my car lives in st. Jean baptist. And they gave me the wrong rotors. He had 5 bolts and we needed 4 bolts so he had to drive into town get my receipts and get the right bolts. Gas gas gas and time. I cannot believe the incompetance and lack of recompence and care these people gave me.! I hope that u compensate me for all that gas and time. At least 60 % off on all parts bought there. My reciept is not with me but you may ph me in afternoon for info. [protected] email [protected]@gmail.com
tire servicing
I recently had my all season tires put on to my vehicle at the Canadian Tire in Sudbury South End (Four Corners) location.
When my husband was driving home from the picked up, he noticed a noise. He noted it and was going to go back to the store the next day.
The next morning, on his way from dropping off the kids from school, one of the recently put on tires, fell off of the van and sped past him on the road, he lost control of the vehicle and hit a parked car. He could have killed someone or injured himself or our family.
When Canadian Tire was alerted to this event, the Manager stated that the company makes it very clear that the tires need to be torqued and that it was stated on the invoice. No offer of reimbursement was offered, the manager claimed that: "this has never happened before."
Actually, torquing of the tires was NEVER mentioned to my husband, what was mentioned was an upsell of another service. There was no follow through with the service that we asked for in the first place.
This is not the first time that we have had poor work completed at this store. I'm not sure why I return. Obviously, they are not training the people who work in the shop. This is a matter of public safety and it should not be taken lightly.
online ordering process is garbage
I tried ordering my boyfriend a pair of golf shoes on May 7th online, so I could just go in and pick them up. (My order #[protected]). It stated all online orders are ready for pickup by 8pm that night. I was tied up at work, and couldn't go that night to pick them up, and I still hadnt received a confirmation of pickup, so I thought I'd leave it until the next day as that would be plenty of time to get my order ready.
Next day, I check online and my order still says processing. So I take a chance and drive to the store on my lunch. The girl on the customer service desk was clueless, couldn't even find my order, then when she told me it wasn't processed yet. It was over 24 hours and my order hadn't been touched? Isn't this the reason this option was made available for convenience for customers? I tried checking the store for the shoes but they werent' there so I went back to the desk to wait for the manager, he/she was apparenty tied up and my lunch break was over so I had no choice but to head back to work. The girl did take my number and said I would receive a call - no one ever called.
I continued to check the status of my online order, which, up until 2:45pm, continued to say in progress. I finished work at 4:30pm and decided to check again before I left, and upon my surprise, the order now said cancelled! What!?! No email or call or anything, just cancelled! I then did a product search online for the golf shoes, and sure enough, they came up as available in the same size I needed, and the stock information said "updated at 3:01pm". I didn't understand. So I placed a second order for the shoes [protected]) and figured I'd wait until the next day to see what was going on. For the entire next day, my order again stayed in the "in process" status, without changing. At this point, I figured that the original person probably went to pick my order, couldn't find the shoes, so just cancelled my order (without making the necessary stock adjustment on their system, which is why they showed available when I placed the second order). That being said, you'd think a phonecall or follow up email would have been made to advise the items were unavailable and/or that my order had to be cancelled. I guess my buisness isn't appreciated. (This also coming from an ex-Canadian Tire employee)
The online order process is amazing - too bad the humans working behind the scenes aren't as efficient.
automotive center
I've never been so appalled in my life dealing with your Canadian tire auto service center! discriminatory against woman is disgusting thinking they can rip of woman because we are woman! I brought my car in 3 times! for the same issue. First time I brought it in I said it might be my starter, they did the diagnostic told me my starter is fine but my battery needs to be replaced. I replaced it myself. A few weeks went by again same issue happened I took it back to Canadian tire told them its my starter! I asked how much will the labor be for installing the starter? he told me its 1.5 hour job 177 plus tax. they ran the diagnostic again told me your starter is actually excellent your battery terminals need to be replaced. I got them to replace it. 1 week goes by again same issue, this time I'm furious I called them and told them they are not fixing the issue in my car. I managed to get my car started and brought it to Canadian tire on Friday may 11 2018. I told them for the 3rd time its my starter. He brought up my file and said you've been dealing with us for a while ill give you a good deal. I said its my damn starter! told you guys this 3 times now. he said looks like you said no to a starter on your file. I said excuse me! that is complete [censored]! lied about what happened. I never said no to the starter I wanted it the entire time. they kept saying it was excellent. After 45 minutes they called me told me that the job is gonna take 3-4 hours. but will give you it for 1.5 hrs for 177. Funny that is the same exact price I was quoted on my second trip to Canadian tire. They ripped me off. they never gave me any deal. just because I'm a woman they thought they could pull that [censored] with me. how appalling... never in my life have I been treated like this. IF they fixed it the first time like I said this wouldn't have been a problem. But now its become a problem of ripping woman off because they think they CAN. what kind of company are you running. I never even got a fair deal like they said I would. I work in the automotive industry and seeing this [censored] happen is disgusting 100%
automotive service
Recently brought in my truck for new brakes. i supplied the all the parts yet i was still charged 500 labour for 3 hours work tops! another 600 dollars to fix the calipers. i would figure with the amount of money i spent there that there would be some friendly customer service but it was rude ignorant customer service from an old man and a manager who refused to even speak to me. i have done business with them in the past. my debit card only had a 500 limit so i asked if i could pay 500 and pay the rest after i went to the bank but they refused. The old man treated me like i was a criminal! i will never do business with canadian tire again and i will spread the word about the treatment i received at the stoney creek canadian tire auto service on queenston rd!
canadian tire employee vandalized my car please help
Appreciate all the feedback and I should be clear this was not a result of me getting them to work on my vehicle but an act to prevent me from leaving the property.
I am in need of advice and guidance so any input would be very much appreciated. I have contacted Canadian Tire Head office to file a complaint, Asked the Moncton RCMP to charge the Canadian Tire Employee who was responsible also not sure it should be mentioned but I was denied the right to have a different RCMP officer present because I felt he was acting biased to the situation and was told a supervisor would contact me and that never happen also and I contacted my Insurance Brooker to file a claim for vandalism. After hours on the phone, I still feel that this situation is not being handled correctly. I am on Kijiji hoping I can get some feedback on what I should do. On Friday, May 11th, 2019 at 3 pm I went to Canadian Tire at 525 Pinewood Rd, Riverview NB I was inside the store when I notice the Canadian Tire Employee in the second picture kneeling down by my Tire in the parking lot. I immediately ran out of the store to confront the worker and he stated he has taken tire stem pin out of my tire when I asked him why he replied that he owned the store and property and he could do what he wanted to my car because it was on his property. I was able to stop leak in the tire by taking the cap off front tire and proceeded to move my car away from him to the parking spot ahead of me when my car pulled really hard to the right and I heard a horrible noise from the right side of my car so I then stopped to get out and inspect the vehicle when Canadian Tire employee told me he did it to my other 2 tires as well. So to sum up a very long and dramatic story is that a Canadian Tire Employee Vandalized my vehicle while I was inside the store to a point it could have caused harm to me or visiting customers. Appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read my ad.
Good sir looking for support on your situation... You did not include within your story the FACTS that your passenger Fraded the Canadian tire store in Sussex by apparently changing the price on a product, buying it for hundreds less and coming to the Riverview store trying to return the Fraudulent item.. This Kind sir in my opinion gives the store owner every right to do what he had done. The Police ended up putting your passenger in handcuffs for the Fradulent activity. Bottom line, if you want to cry out for help make sure you give the full story. The complete facts, that you are potentially an accomplice in the matter of FRAUD and you know very well that your facts are incomplete.
~The truth hurts.
the unprofessionalism of this particular manager jason, and the great help I got from alex.
lea and Mr. Jason caught wind that I was there wanting to talk to him and he made himself unavailable for a bit until he had no choice but to talk to me. So he starts to tell me that there was a set up charge and I showed him the picture of the trailer with the price and no where did say plus set up charge. If I wasn't in such a hurry to purchase the trailer and get on my way, I would have stuck around and made a big stink. I'm glad that I'm doing it this way. I remember CTC first store in Toronto where every thing was shrink wrapped and attached to the shelf. The consumer would then take the ticket and proceed to the cash, where we would pay, and then the ticket was given to a young person on roller skates and they would fetch the item. great memories, Anyway going back to my storyThey only trailer was the one outside which had rust spots in a few places and I did not receive and discount for the rust spot. I have photographs of all the rust spots. This Mr. Jason then had no clue what to say or do. He handed me an envelope that contained info on the trailer and he wasn't too sure about very much. Very miserable person, he should have stayed at home, because he should not be representing Canadian Tire. On the other ALEX should be promoted to the level of manager and the jason fellow should be demoted or let go for his unprofessionalism, lack of knowledge, and just lousy service. I expect that some at CTC gets back to me with some credit and a letter of apology wouldn't either. The invoice number is [protected] 3 on May 5 2018 and the receipt I received from the store total with other items I purchased came to $2215.18 and little number at the bottom is [protected]-10603 and the bar code number is 0010218050546060000000010070. This is about it please get back to me as soon as YOU can because I think it's important...My name is joseph freitas. my cell number is [protected] and my new e mail is [protected]@outlook.com. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
service
Today I went to the location at 9603 162 Ave to purchased 2 water bottle 11.36L.
I asked the staff with long black hair at the customer service, I said"I need 2 bottles for $11.99 & 2 lids". After the lady brought an empty bottle (because my husband is filling the water)and said, "you have to tell you get the new bottles, it's not free" for 3 times.
And she told another staff in front of me"keep an eye of the new water bottles".
I did tell her I need 2 lids and the bottles with $11.99. I think she is insulting me, I really feel bad and disappointed.
complaining about the manager at 3050 mavis rd mississauga
about a week ago, I had a very bad experience at Canadian Tire located in 3050 mavis rd in Mississauga. I asked for help because I was returning a product. the manager was unprofessional at all, and I she treated me like a [censored] just because I'm muslim.
she said that she can't change the product for free because it was on sale.
I said but it broken and I just bought it yesterday, she started yelling on me and said: "another muslim girl"!
Sounds like she hates muslim girls!
The manager name is Faith but I don't know what the last name is.
She's over weight, white and her hair is dark brown.
I didn't like it at all but no body at the store tried to help or saying anything!
I just want to complain because as a customer with options mastercard, who spends 1000$ at least every month at Canadian Tire stores, Id never buy from Canadian Tire locations. It was the worst experience ever I had to face in my life in Canada!
customer service
Today I was at your store at Hwy 7 in Woodbridge. I bought a bike which I picked it up today. On my way out the customer service Christina was so improfessional and rude towards me. The way she interacted with me was very heart breaking. As i mentioned she was extremely rude. Myself and brother bought 2 bikes from your store. It was our first purchase from this store ever. I always used to go to Albion mall Canadian tire. But this time I am very sad to inform you that Christina has to change her behavior and be customer service oriented. There is a way you approach people especially in a customer service environment you have to be very professional. All I ask at this point to speak with her to make sure she doesn't continue with this attitude towards other customers.

service seasonal and repair shop
A few months ago I purchased four winter tires and scheduled an appointment to have them installed. I arrive early for my appointment on a Friday afternoon and it took the only person in the garage 3. 5 hrs to change 4 tires. I complained after 2 hrs and was told he is the only staff on duty. When my vehicle was finally done they gave me a bottle of water for my time.
I then come last wknd to buy a patio set advertised in the Canadian tire flyer to find out they have none in the store they are at the warehouse. Im told to come back later in the day and they would have some in store stock and 1 on display.
Unfortunately the young lady who I spoke to a 2nd time, on my second trip there, continued with her millennial carefree attitude not realizing the customer is in fact who covers her paychecks and continued with" it will not be available and set up until the evening". I went to the assistant manager who was just as rude and carefree. He was far too busy defending his female employee to worry about the customer needs. I believe his name was Chris. I can finally see why these young folks have issues with working in life when their role model is no better than they are. The store manager was much more professional than his assistant in Cochrane Alberta. Needless to say I went to Walmart purchased a set and received not only great customer service but the seasonal store employee she actually helped load it onto my truck!
I will definitely NOT shop at Cochrane AB CTC. There are other stores that provide much better service in less time. Yes the drive would be 30 minutes further but at the end of the day based on the results so far, I will still be home sooner.
i had my vehicle towed into canadian tire belleville 09"30 am. sat may 12th 2018. today is the 13th 11"30 am.all to fix a starter. still not fixed. 13 hrs later. they have noy even looked at it really top notch stuff eh?I truly hope they are not always going to be this slow. i even spoke to the owner. we will see how many more hours untill they can look at this problem...
stolen cart
Hello. Hamilton Upper James location, Sunday May 6, 1pm. Multiple young female staff descended upon my full cart 3 minutes after I walked away from it to hail a friend and within another few minutes had half of it put away!
I have a disability and it took me an hour to assemble my items. After a helpful young man located it, one of the girls came running and pretty much threw 2 items back in my cart. I asked the man if people abandoned their carts permanently very often and he said yes, I would be surprised. No, I wouldn't. No chance, no way. The vast, vast majority of abandoned carts are from people just like me who not as fast on their feet anymore.
Perhaps a sticker system, or hook tag? The first staff member to come across a cart could tag it with a time written on it. It's small effort, but if you're not helping customers there isn't much point is there?
Feeling like cattle at your large stores (you've closed you're amazing smaller ones) is pushing me more and more often to Home Hardware.
lack of clarity regarding extra fees.
Order [protected]. Placed Saturday May 5th on line. Landscape trailer $1799.00 Plus GST.
I was phone later that morning and told that I need to come and make the payment so I could receive the documentation and then I could go get a licence plate. Fair and good.
No one said anything about extra fees and there is no mention of extra fees on the online order form.
When I got to the till after getting the paperwork I was told that there was an additional $150.00 fee. When I asked where that was in the purchase price no one could show it to me, I was told that is just the way it is. The sales rep told me it is in the flyer but he could not find it. Additionally it is no where to be found on the online order form.
My total purchase price on my online form was $1889.00 and that was my total. The staff tried to add the extra fee at which time I told them that I would not be making the purchase. The only disclaimer I can find is the fine print below the total which states that taxes and fees are subject to change which could change the total price.
My compliant is simple: If there is going to be an additional fee then it needs to be up front so the buyer knows before he or she gets to the till. Especially is this true with the online order system. Something as significant as $150.00 should be more clearly stated. Tires are shown with extra fees clearly stated. In my opinion this is an error on your part and customers are not able to make informed choices. This leaves your staff at a real disadvantage as they have no authority to make changes and they have to face the unhappy customers. Front line workers should not have to deal with this as you should be more detailed in your policies. I will still probably make the purchase so you are not out any money. That being said, I hope you will respond to me in some way. Thank you.
auto service

Someone could have stolen the car or robbed alot of stuff . I notify the manager but this is very careless to leave my car open window which was visible to the whole public anything could have happend i want to be compensated for this please assist me i am very upset about this i gave my business and care of my new vehicle and in return the car was dirty all the dust was going in with the cause of leaving the window wide open in my car,
battery warranty
Battery would not take a charge, bring it in on May 3/18. Battery purchased May 8th/17. I have the receipts and warranty information with me. Tested and failed. Owners daughter tells me it's not under warranty as its 12 months and I had it for the month of May last year, so its over 12m...WTF? I argue 12m is 1yr/52wks/365d. She says if she's not getting money back, I'm not. Called CT customer service and they agree with me warranty is from date of purchase. Owner now involved. Now says he's not honouring the warranty as he will put it on a high volt charger and refurbish it. he does, it passes right after. I take the battery to an electrician/mechanic shop. They do a Battery Conductance Test and it fails. Bring the batter back, desk tests it. Fails. Again the owner puts it on the charger/tester and says its fine now. I don't want a refurbished battery that fails minutes after leaving the store. Customer Service calls the store and owner and he still refused to replace the battery. What is the point of a warranty! In the hands of a Customer Service Investigator now...lesson learned. Shop elsewhere.

I called on behalf of my girlfriend to get them to authorize us to use her paper with the card number and expiry date that you get before receiving the card. They removed the tw block and she was able to use her card at SportChek. I then needed to use mine for gas at the gas bar so I called in advance to get the block off and for them to authorize me to use the number for gas. The representive gave her name as Hailee and she was super rude to me. When I explained the situation she said "that that's not how it works" with a rude tone in her voice. I said I called on behalf of my girlfriend and they did it for her so why can't you do it for me. She said again in a rude tone "I'm telling you that's not how it works". I am unterly disappointed with the rude customer service I received when calling. They need to get the facts about the card straight and not treat the CH's differently. I could not feel more disrespected right now and more disappointed. The only good thing that came out of it was the customer service in store. But over he phone customwr service was horrible!
noma products is not what I was looking for in the first place
Please allow me to return the BARR. AL. 12 P. USB (79.99$) Operateur : 40115 CAISSE : 61. # TRANS: 220 on 04/30/2018 at 21:01:47. Canadian Store #401, 6700 Cote des Neige.
When I went to the Cote des Neiges Store last night, they simply don't have what I have requested : a surge power protector. They made me run to one department to another when they finally sent me to an old Quebecer guy. He sold me the 'best' of their power bars. Result : 91$ less in my studio budget for someting I don't need ( this is a personal constatation).
So Congradulation to the Noma brand (house brand) who might have a legalistic policy ! According to a guy who used to work for Canadian Tire, this brand is cheap crap. I'm not sure if it is true, but I definitely want to give my precious electronic devices a chance to survive the worst of electric failures or irregular fluctuation possible. I am doubting th 4300 joules ability to do that.
The Home guy recommended Philip's brand. He now works for Home Depot Plateau Mont Royal).
I wish to return it because I know that I can get something better. Plus, the Noma brand don't have the AVR option nor the battery back UPS (uninterrupted power surge), something essential for a home recording/Control audio/digital workstation/room, specially in the end of the end times (or the end of the last days).
I will get the Apc UPS (schneider product) wich is what I really need :

The Canadian Tire staffs were not able/humble/honest enough to tell me they did not have what I needed or to confess that what I was asking for was beyond their knowledge comfort.
I am very disappointed by the level of service I did not get as I observe that the company's values are not aligned with what I expect should be in the land of Canada, where healing should flow out of our leaves, and obviously this former employee of yours did not have peace when he left being at your service.
2 Chronicle 2.14 mentions that «if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.»

salt lamp
Purchased a salt lamp at the Stoney Creek Hamilton store, the lamp didn't work from the moment I purchased it. I change the light bulb still nothing. I return it not even 24 hours after the purchase and was denied e full refund. Exchange only or store credit! The person right in front of me return something and stated it was the wrong colour and got a full refund! Moral of the story lie! As they do lot stand by the products they sell!
yardworks hose connection splitter
I was wondering why my Canadian Tire Yardworks hose connection two-way splitter was leaking despite replacing the gasket between the house outlet & splitter. After removing the leaking splitter, I found the cheap cast aluminum metal behind the gasket on the splitter had failed, and there was no longer a proper seal.
I would like to have Canadian Tire replace the splitter with a more robustly-made unit, or give me a refund.
recent inability to use my american express corporate card for pay at the pump service
I have used my AmEx card at the gas bar in Amherstburg for several years with no difficulty. Recently, ie 2-3 months, my card has not been accepted for pay at the pump service. It is inconvenient to have to go into the kiosk each time to pay for gas, ie lock the car, inclement weather, delays other customers who have to wait for me to come back out to move my car. Also, several other customers have voiced complaints when they heard me voicing my concerns, re the same situation but pertaining to debit cards, Visa etc. Each time I am given a different, unsatisfactory reason, ie there is a work order on that pump, it is too cold for the pump, I will report it to my boss etc etc.
A speedy resolution to this problem would be greatly appreciated by all of us who have experienced this inconvenience repeatedly recently in Amherstburg ON
