The Captain D's at 118 Loyola Drive
Surfside SC. Store # 364306. The Franchise Owner/General Manager is rude, not professional and I over heard him cursing at his staff and throwing things in the kitchen on one occasion maybe a month ago. The store used to be fast when making food and food was hot. Recently we wait almost 15-17 minutes for a simple order of fish and fries. The staff has changed so much since u remember and it's going down the drain. Reminding me of how bad the store smelled for months because of a bathroom issue. I'm recommending to all my construction worker buddies that we eat elsewhere.

On Dec.10, 2017 we went thru the drive thru at your captain d's in Smyrna, Tn store #3654 ticket#0224. Ordered 3 sampler meals and a kids meal of popcorn shrimp the meal was cold and the samplers were cold as well and looked like they were left over. The breading was hard as a rock and green beans were ice cold. The hush puppies were hard and cold. I usually get captain d's at least once a month or more but will not any longer.

The Concord NC location was an absolute 🌉🌃 nightmare to say the very least!They refused to give my 77 year old mother a senior citizen discount, charged us $20.42 for two southern style 🎏 fish plates.!My mother ordered a senior coffee and water the cashier brought her a small tea and then told her she didn't charge her for the coffee she ordered.We requested a second time to the cook she said that will be $1.99! Needless to say they simply wouldn't bring my 77 year old mother her coffee under any circumstances😒😬! You'd honestly thought she was trying to get a golden cup of coffee!Then the cook came out with the wrong order of 🐟🐡🐠 fish and argued with me about what I had ordered. Then brought my order out and slammed it on our table!😩😨😬😱😳 I couldn't eat it it was hard as a rock you could have knocked a WWE wrestler out with it! I became so deathly ill inside the restaurant I wanted to hurl!My 77 year old mother was hurting so severely in her heart I thought I was going to have to call 911!They went completely out of Way's to be nice to thier other customers it was unreal IMO I think they were racist because they treated everyone else with respect and dignity! honestly in 44 year's of Life or my mom's 77 year's of Life have we ever been THAT DISRESPECTED OR DEGRATED !We felt like third class Titanic Passengers and after that God awful experience I experienced today I literally wanted to be Jack Dawson 😨😩😳😭!I'm praying 🙌 for these ladies safety because if they treat any other humans like the 2 piece's of 💩they honestly treated us like the out won't be as good 😨😩We visit Captain D's two plus time's per week and getting treated like Lil 🐶🐕🐩 wasn't what I expected to happen on this December 12, 2017, It's normally the gentleman cook who treats me like 💩 believe it or not he was actually nice and pleasant and treated me like a human today .They could all take notes 🎵🎶 from Norma at the Monroe NC location!She goes completely out of her way to accommodate us and treat us with the dignity and respect we must deserve! She's always smiling asking us how we are and even brings our food to us!Now this precious * 👼* makes you feel welcomed !The worker's @ the Concord NC location could take a few tips off her!You couldn't pay me a billion dollars 💸💰💲to step foot in Concords location ever again as it most definitely left a bad tatse in my mouth!

Me an my wife pulled into captain Ds in Seneca SC around 8pm on December 11 2017 the parking lot was empty an dark we thought it was closed. We went to the door an they we open we was the only customers there 1st thing as my wife order she did not Wat she wanted to order she decides on popcorn shrimp she ask the cashier how the cold slaw was with a frown looking face told my wife I don't know I don't eat here we started to leave then will I was in the dinning area an was get condiments for our food an was approached by an employee complaining about him an his girlfriends break up never have Mets the man as I sat down waiting on our food I noticed the rips in the booths an messed up tables but the place was some what clean after getting our food we noticed a man entered the building after a few minutes he an the manager was arguing apparently they got his order wrong an since he didn't have a receipt the wouldn't do anything the costumer left cousin well the manager for some reason felt the need to try to push the panic button an notify the police well the other employees put the place on lock down in fear of the man coming back with a gun with the employee yelling an all the talk about a man coming back with a gun it upset my wife to the point she was shaking an upset we gathered our things an left without finishing our food my wife threw up most of the way home an the 21 dollars I spent on the meal was a waste the unprofessional actions the employees did with the complaining customer an the Way they acted while waiting on police to come upset an scared her that we want eat at that captain Ds again an I dare not go back an complained in fear of having the police called on me

To whom it may concern, my name is Christopher McDowell and I'm writing this letter to address the unfortunate and infuriating experience I had at one of your establishments . The location I'm referencing is at 2626 Princess Ann Street Fredericksburg, VA 22401 . My intended purpose is to receive compensation for the unsatisfactory, unpleasant service I received .
I'm typically a man of very few words, however after the traumatic, unsavory meal I couldnt consume I feel it's not only absolutely necessary to be reimbursed but I thought I share my thoughts on this particular space your company is inhabiting .
After another restless day for myself as a technician and father I didn't want to burden my expectant wife with cooking dinner so we decided to go out to eat with the family . From many glances, (the street view and parking lot) it appeared as though the drive thru had a long wait line so I proceeded to personally walk-in enter your restaurant . Initially the off putting smell of your establishment never occurred to me that it maybe an issue with sanitation because your "specialty" is seafood . However, after attempting to consume a bite of your hush puppies I discovered a hair embedded in the batter of one . As far as the fish was concerned, it tasted as if the integrity of the fish as a whole was compromised by the foul smell in the air when entering the restaurant . It seemed as though the fish might've been battered and fried in the restroom .
As a loyal, yet unsatisfied customer I feel wronged, and disrespected for our meals not only being mishandled but unsafe to eat . As one of many, I work very hard for every nickel, penny, and dime I make so yes I am worried about where my money goes . To reiterate my intent, I feel my request is more than fair, opposed to me speaking about it openly and inconsiderably writing a review that can be detrimental to your business .
Business owner should not only value their title and power but also the responsibilities that come along with it . Businesses should take accountability for negative experiences someone may have seeing as their target is everyday people whether right, wrong, or indifferent . Not only is it the season to give but I should be receiving whatever I deem necessary . Because the common saying is the customer is always right .
Why retreat back to a public place to act as a tyrant and possibly engage in an altercation ? I'm not a trouble maker I didn't even realize this was a public forum . When I googled means of gaining compensation or closure for our experience this was the only site that gave me any personal information to contact someone to talk to directly .
clearly someone is having a bad day, I clearly stated the meal was unsavory . maybe you can't afford a dictionary because the definition of unsavory means it's not edible . therefore meaning we didn't eat the food . you should also mind your manners and think before you even speak to another person like this ever again . i believe people that have nothing nice to say should just keep their mouth shut .

If you've ever worked in customer service then you would know the customer is definitely not always right. You are entitled to a replacement or refund and nothing else. Where is your "giving" spirit? You seem to only want to argue with those who disagree with you. Wouldn't the season warrant "hey I disagree with you but thanks for commenting?"
Why didn't you return the food for a replacement or speak to a manager? Instead, you write a negative review on a complaint site, which is exactly what you stated in your letter you preferred not to have to do.
If someone mishandled your food in the first place would you bother to ask for a "replacement" ?

If it smelled as badly as you described, I would not have ordered to being with. But since you did, your choices at the time were: ask for a replacement or a refund. You can still contact corporate and request a refund. You may or may not get it. You should, if you still have your receipt. You also have the option of contacting the local health department to voice your concerns about sanitation.

I understand why you're upset, but it seems a little odd that you consider this experience traumatic. That being said, did you ask to speak to a manager while you were there? Have you called the restaurant or their corporate office?
I'm confused as to how you could possibly understand yet question the validity of my statement . I did not dine at the establishment . I simply went inside, got in line, and took the food to go . I'm from Illinois, and there they have a restaurant chain called Portillos . Portillos makes more money than any other fast food chain that has way more locations . It's a guaranteed fine dining experience that equally costly as Captain D's yet I have not 1 complaint .
The fact that another restaurant exists that is better (there are probably hundreds of better restaurants) has nothing to do with your complaint. Additionally, nowhere did I question the validity of your statement, just the degree to which it affected you. Have you called the store or returned to complain? They likely will not see your complaint here.
14 piece family meal, extra hush puppies, funnel cake sticks
I went through the drive through around 8p.m on December 10, 2017 and ordered the 14 piece family meal, extra hush puppies, and funnel cake sticks. When I got home to eat it, my food was cold, hard, and old. I literally live 4 minutes away from the Enterprise Alabama location. My food tasted like old grease. I called to speak to the manager, who was very rude, she replied "i just dropped the fish but I don't know about everything else" which I knew was a lie because I eat there frequently enough to know how the fish and fries should taste. I am not satisfied at all with my experience. I was neither refunded or offered fresh food so basically all of my money went down the drain as well as the food. I will not be returning to that location

How come it is I've went to Captain D's 5 times in the last 2 weeks to get your shrimp chicken and fish dinner for 499 sometimes I get two pieces of shrimp sometimes I get 4 pieces of shrimp sometimes I get a big piece of fish and sometimes it's a little bitty piece of fish and as far as the chicken it look like chicken nuggets once. Two little bite-size pieces. I'm getting tired of getting shorted by you guys my next step is to posted on my complaints on YouTube. I don't want no freebies I just want you to fix the problem

My husband and I had a coupon from retailmenot for 2 two piece fish plates for $5.75.When we got our order we had been charged $4.29 each. I showed the cashier the coupon before I ordered and she scanned a paper coupon not the one on my phone. Retailmenot said to redeem show the coupon that was in an email from them to the cashier. Our meal was $9.44 instead of $5.75. We were very upset that this happened. Thanks, Julie Connolly.

My husband went to Captain D Fern Creek under order #0194 last night 12/4/17 @ 18:45. When he got home our order wasn't correct. We order 3 seafood meals & 1 kids meal. The seafood meals were fine, but the kids meal was not a kids meal; it consisted 1 piece of fish, very little fries, no cookie or drink.
For 3 meals & the kids meal no condiments, like coctail, tarter & not even sour cream or butter for our potatoes. I couldn't even eat my fish without tarter. My little boy had to eat his with salad dressing or he wouldn't even eat it.
This upsets me because they could have at least put condiments in our bag.
I tried to call at least 5 times to talk to someone nobody answered the phone.
Is this what service has come too with a $32.15 order no condiments, do they cost extra now. Anybody in right mind filling a order knows to put at least tarter in the bag if nothing else.
I'm very disappointed with Captain D's very disappointed.

We were at the Moncks Corner location in the drive thru. There were 3 cars in front of us and it took 39 minutes to get to the Togo window. I don't understand how it can take that long with such a small amount of people in front of us. We watched several people leave the line because of the wait. When we finally got to the window she wasn't even sure what are order was and was upset because we checked before leaving the window. Not a great experience at all

I am a resident I'm Memphis TN, the store on Germantown Parkway in cordova TN, 38016 has posted signs that it does not close untill 10pm but every night since it has opened, If me or friends go at 9pm we never receive any service like tonight. The employees stop taking orders at 9 pm or 8:30. I am very unsatisfied with this. Can anything be done? I was very happy to have one near me but now I'm mad that I can never eat there after 8:30! I'm done with this location and will make others aware of this issue as well!

Visited one of your Captain D's locations on 11/29/2017 @ 6:27pm. Everytime I come to this location they never have any products. For instance, baked potatoes & salads. I went to purchase 2 meals but only got 1 instead because I'm so tired of trying to find a replacement for what I want. This has happened on more than 1 occassion. I then asked for the manager name & number. Was given Mike Malone # [protected] while I was waiting on my food Mr. Malone showed up according to the cashier. The manager on duty informed him & made him aware I was a disatisfied customer. Manager nodded my way to make him aware & he avoided eye contact or showed inteterest of the situation. Out of all the eatery's in the area I chose this restaurant. I will no longer spend my hard earned money at this establishment due to this continuous matter & especially after the individual who suppose to run this store actions. Visited a captain ds in murfreesboro tn. Service was horrible. Employees were rude for no entire reason. The food I received was unacceptable. This shouldn't even be served to an animal! Employees should be held totally accountable for this mess. I was supposed to receive beer battered fish and received what is pictured below. When confronting employee about the order the employees laughed about it. I work in fast food and that is no way to handle a situation like this. They repeatedly laughed as if they meant to send my food out the way they did. All I got was crumbs of the one piece of fish I asked for. Didn't even received the shrimp the first time I asked for it. Very very rude employees you have working on your night shift.

Hello I visited your store while on vacation Wednesday night 11/22/2017 at location Captain D's
1718 Hwy 45 N [protected] Columbus Ms and I went through Drive Thu and a young lady name Breanna was working and she is the most rude, disrespectful, very hateful person I have ever come in contact with while at a business.. She handed me my bag out the window and slammed the window without saying Thank you or have a nice evening and I needed condiments so I sat there and she came back to the window and said "is there a problem" I said well I need some condiments and at that time I proceeded to tell her she was a rude person and she responded with "and" "so what" "whats your point" and then slammed the window. I pulled off and left I know she is a young person so I kind of made an excuse for her but I can say I will never visit that store again and I ask that since her mother didn't teach her any respect maybe you guys can send her to a class to learn how to treat customers.

I really love the food, but not too willing to have another experience like yesterday in Matthews, NC on U.S.74. I had to wait 10 minutes just to order. Then 20 more to get my food at the drive through. And they didn't give a receipt or plastic ware or napkins! Had no forks to eat coleslaw with!
This is the second time this has happened to me there this year. The first time I drove away and went somewhere else. I was disappointed, but thought they were just having a bad day. But now I think not!

After getting my kids to bed I sat down to eat I opened the beans and there was a hair attached to the lid. This hair is of a different race and looks not to be from the head. I thought about contacting health department and will if someone don't contact me .
I couldn't eat nothing at this point I mean who could! I did call the mgr right away she offered to replace my food. I'm pass I do want my $8 and some change back

I went to Captain D's 11/9/2017 to get my free replacement meal from a previous visit. I ordered that day a 2pc with coleslaw (that was still frozen)and bland okra. I called to complain, so on yesterday I went to get the meal. The Manager Mr. Edward was there(the same guy that gave me a follow-up call on last Friday I spoke with him and gave him my order. I checked my order that appeared alright before I left. I got home to eat, the fish was hiding the rice w/macaroni that someone had mixed in there and it look nasty. I was pissed! I did not call back because I feel like it would happen again due to my complaint. I NEVER WILL EAT IN ANOTHER CAPTAIN D's. I could not believe this 2x and expected better from this establishment and especially the Manager

I took my little brother this past Friday 11/3/17 to the Captain D's located at 101 East Woodlawn road Charlotte, NC 28210. He just loves your hushpuppies, so I pay for both A.U.C.E. Meals and then we go seat down. My little brother goes to the restroom I assume to wash his hands but he actually remains in the restroom vomiting so I asked on of the managers(Tall middle age Caucasian male) can I get my money back for my brother's meal seeing that he didn't get to eat anything and he said, "NO! because once you are served and you have breathe or touched your food you get no refunds." Then I asked, so if I was in the drive thru and open my box and didn't like what I saw and wanted a refund you wouldn't give me one?" He replied, "YEP!" Then walked off. I want my money back for poor customer service. Thanks in advance.
Saying you didn't like the look of the food is different from saying you're unable to eat it due to a personal issue because the former usually implies something is wrong with it. You paid for food and received it. They cannot resell the meal so they would just be at a loss if they provided a refund. They didn't do anything wrong and had no obligation to take the food back.

Let me start by saying I don't mind waiting 20 minutes to get my food because I know they are having to cook it to order. What I do have a problem with is the hostility and rudeness I got with any employee that I encountered at this location. The woman on the register (Lasandra) couldn't even be bothered to say, "Hi, good afternoon" when I spoke to her. All I got was, "Are you dining in"? So I placed my order, sat and waited the 20 min or so for my food, all the while watching her continue to be incredibly rude to every customer she had to speak to. She was the only one taking the inside orders, the other guy was working the drive-thru. When my order was ready, she called my number, I went to the counter, she opened the box and said, "any sauces"? I said I would like vinegar and honey mustard please. I also asked for a fork. She grabbed everything and threw it in the bag. I said, "Thank you". I also tried to again to say have a nice day. All I got was a sour face and nothing back. I will never come here again and I will encourage my family and friends to do the same. I don't appreciate being made to feel like my showing up at your business is such an imposition. The other people that were working there didn't or wouldn't even make eye contact much less speak to anyone. The food was good and was hot, which I appreciate. But I will not return to a place where I'm made to feel like I'm bothering them when they have to do their job.
