Paid up letters
We have been struggling quite a while to get paid up letters from you. We have driven to your branches almost every day, we have phoned every day for a month, we have emailed twice every 2 hours of every day for the past month, and STILL no paid up letter! I called cell c many times requesting for paid up letter and i also wrote to you about my problem. You said my problem will be resolved but till today i haven't received my paid up letter since i paid my account on August. I now dont know what to do whether i should just take the legal route or what. Please assist me as ive been begging to be assisted because even your consultants are useless. No one ever gave me a meaningful explanation of what needs to be done or when exactly il get my letter. Please help.

My name is Ludwe Jekwa and I have been trying to get a Paid up Letter from Cell c for months to no avail.
I have phoned their customer care lines and I get transferred from pillar to post and nobody seems to want to help me.
I eventually went in store to try and get the matter resolved and I was told that the store does not have direct phone lines to their Legal Department so I must just see what to do with myself.
Cell C has to be by far the worst company I have Ever dealt with, to top it off they still have an outstanding Credit that they have not even Paid back to me.
My Credit Report shows I am in arrears with them, even though the account was paid up almost a year ago, and my account was never handed over so the sheer Arrogance is Appalling. I wouldn't wish the type of "Service" I have received from these people on anyone.

I have been going through the exact same problem. I have sent over 50 emails cc every cell c email I have ever come across incl legal department and I get no response at all.
me too this in unacceptable the service is poor ! for a month been begging them sending emails daily calling them weekly, i never knew that cellc 's service is like this

Bad service - no response from deceased department on request of transfer and cancellation of accounts
My husband has passed away in February, and since Feb I struggled with Cell C. I have sent the documents several times to Cell C, no response, just an automated computer response. Nobody called me or wrote to me.
On October 12, I contacted Head office and Me. Ashni Raman assisted me, but told me to send the deceased documents again to her and to the deceased department (which I have done several times before 12 October already). She told me it would be done within 48 hours.
Then I got the reference number: ref [protected]
There as 2 contracts, on a data contract that is still going until january, it must be transferred to my name.
The other is a cellphone contract which are years ago ended, but we did not upgrade. It must be cancelled and transferred to prepaid.
Still no response. I mailed her several times and since last week no answer from her as well.
I called the legal department this morning, but they are not available. I spoke to customer service - no help. Just another story.
I do not know what to do more. They have all the requested documents, there is a reference number with all the details.
Why do they not finish the request?

Im very feeling disappointing about cellc im a good client i've been using this number for more than 15 years I lost my phone when I got car accident it been 2 months now trying to do sim swop they refuse to help me one of white lady from cellc called me to but unrica cell c sim card I did that but still no help.. I think is 4 times now to do sim swop they helped me. But now no help from cellc.. I look like they refusing to help black people.. Why I'm saying that it's because I saw a complaint from white guy they helped him with sim swop. It been 2 months now trying to do sim swop

I am deeply disappointed from the service I got from the call centre operators I have spoken to on numerous occasions.
I have called in so many times, up to 3 months before my contract would end in October 2020.
I would constantly call Cell C to make sure that my contract would be canceled so that the payment will not be recurring after the end of my contract period.
I have asked, explained, doubled checked days before my end of contract date, to make sure that I have paid my last payment so that there will be no payment after October 2020.
I was assured I have paid in full and my Cell C statements also proves it.
It has been two months after my contract ended in October 2020 and high unknown amounts of payments are still occurring from Cell C.
I do expect you to understand that I am in dept because of the payments which had been taken from my account from Cell C, because my monthly contract debit order had not been paid after my end of contract date in October 2020.
I do recommend for you to go to the recorded calls from my number [protected], which happend throughout the months between me and the call operators before my contract ended.
I will definitely not let this case slide through my fingers, as this time is all hard on us, we work hard to provide food on our tables and to just take money from your loyal customers without their consent, is just showing me the lack of caring, commitment, training, professionalism, loyalty, honesty and common sense.

Cellphone contract termination
I cancelled my contract with Cell C in November. They sent me a settlement amount which I paid. They said the contract would end on the 30th of November. I received a billing for November, which I queried and was told the billing wasn't included in the settlement discount which I was given. Now I've received another billing for December, which I have paid even though I paid the settlement discount and was told the contract would end in November. I also noted that the contract was still showing as active on my credit report. I closed 3 accounts in November, only Cell C is playing cat and mouse games with me. I need to know when is this account going to be made inactive and why are they still billing me?

Laptop I had ordered

I was called by a cell c agent to offer a cellphone deal. Long story short... I ended up ordering a laptop. Okay, I was sent a about 10 texts saying that it was with the courier company which was supposed to get her on 2020.12.04, however nothing came! I proceed to call the courier company to see where my parcel is. They told me someone from cell c "cancelled" the parcel! I got no email, call or text alerting me that a eugene greene cancelled it! I went to cell c Promenade for an earl upgrade. I was advised to pay commitment fee plus November installment. Which I did. The consultant told me my debit order for the 28th won't deduct. Well it did. I paid cell c twice for the month of November [R304]. They did not even advise me on how to reverse the double payment. I told the consultant that I wanted huawei p 2021 smart. He agreed he will keep the the device. When I went at 4pm to get the phone. He said one of his colleague sold the phone. I was so disappointed and angry. This phone I was buying it for my wife. Now I ended up buying Huawei P 40. Which is expensive. With less benefits. P smart 2021 comes with power bank and pouch. I ended up with a P40 which does not come with a power bank and free pouch but I must pay R369. I regret visiting cell c promenade. Unethical behavior - non responsive
I'm Currently in the UK and have lost my Cell C Sim,
I've tried every possible avenue to get Cell C to assist with a replacement sim (which I will ship at my own expense) and have followed their every instruction, but this matter has still not been resolved, I've had a support center agent hung up on me, I've had 13 emails over a course of almost 10 months, every time a different support agent and every time the process has to start from scratch. yet Cell C has no problem in debiting my account: the following is an extract of one of my most recent mails, and still no response:
Now, I have re-read this entire email thread, I have complied to your measures.
1) I've requested help, explaining the situation - you kept on sending auto generated Emails clearly not intending to read or grasp the contents of my enquiry.
2) I've had to threaten with non payment before I got a actual response,
3) I had a new sim bought as per the response.
4) I've forwarded the details as per the response
5) I've phoned into your Technical department after repeated claims that you could not reach me (which I think is bogus. In truth I think the consultant can't dial international numbers and then send out a mail pretending that they can't reach me).
6) I phoned into the customer care centre and had an agent repeatedly ask me to walk around to get better reception (it's an international call... (I'm paying for btw) the line has a delay.)
7) I then phoned into your technical centre - had to explain everything again - apparently all of this correspondence cannot be retrieved?
8) I passed the Security questions - I gave you the OTP (the security process makes no sense by the way...) than had to do another set of ludicrous security questions, bearing in mind that I'm the guy who has to beg and pay for this process... only to be told that I could not answer the security questions and that I will need to phone in again to redo this entire process.
Dear Cell C CEO and the entire C Level Management team of CELL C... ever wondered why the listed company you manage performs so poorly... have a look at your SERVICE.
it's no good that you have the cheapest call rates, data bundles or deals on hand-held devices - if your first tier customer care consultants or their direct Management simply does not give a single hoot about the customer base.
You either have a training or a process issue. Whatever the issue, you're not going to plug that endless money pit loss until somebody gets up and starts doing something about it and retains existing business.
I'm hereby giving you formal notice that I'm canceling my subscription to your service. I've been paying for a service for 10 months now, that I've not been able to use. it should not take months to rectify, yet I have paid you close to R9990 -00. Your ignorance has left me with no other choice. As you are unwilling to provide me with the intended service as per our agreement I shall no longer fulfill my duty in paying for the service. I will not pay a settlement fee as I perceive your utter lack of support on your part to be a breach of our agreement and as you have not fulfilled your obligation, this voids our agreement.
I trust that you will find the above in order.

Account reconnection for cell phone number 0843339043
I lost my device 3 weeks ago and I called to block my sim and my device and i then did a sim swap through cell c customer care and reconnected my account but up until today my account is still inactive
Device only order missing
Bought a device only from Cell C and the order went missing.
Still not resolved, kept phoning and getting transferred from one division to another and no one can assist.
So their system doesn't work, such bad service and now they are taking my R3499.00 and I'm getting a device. The device is the LG K51s, I even bought a cell phone cover and screen guard from another website the same day; was looking forward to this device but now I guess I won't receive it and will have to purchase a phone somewhere else.
Cell C will never ever see me as client again.

Claim for a nokia 5 that is broken or
I've never seen such a hustle to claim after being such a loyal customer for such a long time. I have two contracts with cell c and 3 divice contracted with c surance, I have experienced a disservice for 6 months since may 2020 between c cell repairs department and c surance between more than 40 emails and endless calls. Even the staff at cell c powerstation eyethu mall been trying to assist as begun to get frustrated. Payed the access fee requested, premium for all 3 devices are debited from my account every month and I'm still without the device I claimed for. The device was booked twice and returned to cell c powerstation eyethu mall twice, I received an email saying that the device is returned to cell c powerstation eyethu mall and I need 5o re-book it for the 3rd time since May. I just need to cancel all 3 premiums and never go back to cell c for any service, be it using their network, buying airtime or taking up contracts. I'm Rafure Joshua Thafeng... I have am problem with CellC Someone opened account using my personal details, and I have reported the matter on the 18th of March 2020 till now I have not receive any response and my name has been placed under credit bureau, I cant do anything is about more than 90 day my case is not yet resolved, I would like CellC to speedily do the investigation because this issue is heating hard from me.

Upgraded to the wrong package
On 2 October 2020 I upgraded after seeing a Friday special. I phoned the upgrade department on the Friday and told the lady that I want to upgrade to the A31 as indicated in the Friday special. For R299 there is more data available than on the usual upgrade for the A31. We concluded the upgrade and on 5 October 2020 I received my phone. That evening I received and sms stating that the upgrade is appreciated and the package is 1G. I immediately e-mailed Cell C on 5 October at 19:36 indicating that the package is not correct. I said in the mail that I am disputing this package and would like to listen to the recording. I received only on 9 October 2020 a response with a Ref nr [protected] saying that I will be contacted within 2 days. Needless to say I did not receive a response. I again mailed on the 12th of October asking what is the situation. On this e-mail I did not even get a response as on the previous mail. I have phone no call logs for 1 October to 20 October, but I phone Cell C 084145 on several occasions asking for feedback. I also requested the recording so that I can take further steps. My calls that I can pick up on my cell is on the following dates: 21 Oct, 24 Oct, 26 Oct, 28 Oct, 3 Nov, 10 Nov, 19 Nov and 23 Nov. Every time the case is escalated and I am assured that someone will be phoning me back the same day. I only received a call once from a lady who accrued me that she will sort out this query. She indicated that it was on the Friday and she do not even have to listen to the recording. She will rectify the contract. She gave me 5g data. Why would you do that if Cell C is not at fault? Rectifying my contract package was never done. I am still in the same boat and 2 months has almost lapsed. I received SMS's on the following dates: 30 Oct - telling me that I renewed my contract to 1gb, 30 Oct - giving me a case nr [protected] and saying upgrade re-processed on the CCD: Deal that was offered by the consultant when upgrading line, 3 Nov - case nr [protected], 19 Nov - Ref nr [protected], 20 Nov - case nr [protected] receive feedback (but no feedback in the sms), 20 Nov - case nr [protected], 23 Nov - ref nr [protected].
The question remain - do the consultants that help u when upgrading not know what the Friday specials are? Why would I take 1gb if I can take the 2gb for the same price. Service delivery of Cell C is alarming. I am blocked at the consultant because I cannot speak to anyone that can resolve or investigate my query. What should I as a customer do? I have requested the recording as well, but have not received it. Cell C only made promises but did not resolve or have the decency to phone me.

Does not want to repair my device
Cell c puts our devices in water when at repairs
My name is Kgetsepe Mkhabela, I have been a customer of Cellc's for almost 6 years. I recently upgrade my contract and also purchased a new contract from cell c (6 months old). About a weeks ago I started experiencing a network problem, on that same day I could no longer access WIFI, network and bluetooth on my Huawei P30 Lite.
I then took the device to Huawei Menlyn an Hour after experiencing this problem.
They did a diagnosis and found out that it was a factory fault with device antenna.
I then took the device to the store I got the contract (centurion Mall cell c).
They then accused me of downloading lots of apps on my phone and said it was the cause for my network problem.
My device got to repairs department on monday the 23rd of November 2020 and I got an sms stating that I need to pay R6000 to replace the device.
I asked why they said my phone has a water damage. I am 100% sure that I never put my phone in water and I live alone, no kids and I am shocked how the report is different from that of Huawei.
I am a computer technician and I have friends who are cell phone technicians and If I had a problem that was not a device factory fault I was going to fix it.
Now Cell c don't want to fix my phone which is still under warranty and they create problems which are not there.
I want my device fixed!

Receiving pornographic videos through whatsapp. Both my friend and my cell numbers on my contract.
Although Whats App is not a cell C product, my cell C contract is the only place where both my friend and my cell phone numbers are stored together.
In the early hours of this morning I was woken up out of a deep sleep by my cell ringing. Not having my glasses on plus being half asleep, my immediate thought was it was an emergency. I answered my call not realising or even suspecting it to be a video call with pornographic video of a man's penis. I immediately tried to put it off, fumbling in the dark and feeling absolutely violated by the video from an intruder let alone the images. My friend has received porno video calls through out this early morning and today from the same number in Morocco.
My question is how these cell numbers were exposed to someone in Morocco? My second question is, does Cell C sell their contact list to either organisations or companies for marketing purposes as this is without my permission?
I do have proof of the number that contacted us on both our cell phones.
