porting my number without my consent.
Cell C agents came to my house this morning.They were promotion Cell C.They offered a free sim card and requesting for my current phone with MTN number.I gave them my phone because they said they are registering the Cell C sim card because of Rica purpose. I asked them why they are using my phone, and if they weren't porting me cause I dont want Cell C.They said no.
Few hours later I received multiple sms notifying me of the request for porting and to call the number if fraud suspected. I immediately call that number to alert them of the situation.However I was told to call the porting department the next day and call agent told me that she'll update on the system. I also called MTN customer care they couldnt help me and said no request was made as yet to port so it should be fine.Also I replied to the SMS in accordance to dispute what was happening.Still Cell C sends notification to welcome me.Now my number is aborted.I lost all my data and airtime.I dont understand why they couldnt stop it earlier cause I well notified them before hand.I DONT WANT Cell C infact I hate that network now.

An account has been using my details/ identity of which i know nothing about and that account has been handed over to NDDCS. i have been trying to get Cell C to sort out this issue but haven't received any assistance. i would really appreciate it if i can be assisted as i dont know which device was taken, from which branch and what am i suppose to do in order to clear my name.

i have a problem with rica traders, they are porting consumers without their permission and each and now as am rica master dealer am facing all this duties of which they are not mine can you guys please do something with your agents.what they do is fraud cause they dont even ask a customer its details they use fake passports to perform the rica registration.do something please before we take any further steps.i dont blame the company but your distributors and dealers are the ones they teach the agents to commit such crime

I recently lost my phone and took me complaining to actually get the service I pay for every month, now I have to call every day for a simple request and repeat myself on a daily basis with no capable to actually do their job and assist. I have been calling you guys for two weeks now asking that my contract number be changed to my current as I no longer use that number since my phone was stolen and I keep getting the run around. You guys either change this number or cancel that data cause I will not pay for something I am not using. You took your full amount but only providing half the service and you have absolutely no one in your employ that is competent enough to do their job. I call you guys today and someone tells me no your case was closed so we have to start again.

On the 1st of September 2018 I bought a phone at your store cell c jewel the phone had speaker problem at times I couldn't hear the other person on the phone and vice versa it had battery problem as well, so I decided to take the phone back to the store and I requested a refund one of the staff told me that they do not do refunds o devices I have to exchange and when I make an exchange I cannot go for a device that is less the one I bought before I can only add the money and get another one or stick with the price plan! I was left with no choice but to exchange and go for something that I don't want! I'm still not happy with the phone I got and the service I got I want a refund your devices are not satisfying at all!and stop sending messages that says"thank you for contacting Akermans"I want this matter to be resolved ASAP!

cell phone contract that I am listed on credit bureau as a late payer
I just found out today that I have been declined by a credit provider because of my bad payment conduct. I then retrieved my credit report and found out that cell c had listed me as 3 months in arrears, with an overdue balance. I do not have a cell c contract since 2013/14. Both contracts I had with cell c at the time I had called to cancel them. What upsets me the most, in April I had visited a cell c store at Hemingway's Mall to apply for a cell phone contract which was declined due to "a cell phone contract that I have defaulted on" the consultant assisting me assured me it is not with cell c and now this. I am advised now that I had an amount owing in 2016 and was then handed over. The last conversation I had with Cell C was around 2016, after back and forth of not cancelling the contract I asked the consultant who had called me to give me the last and final amount so I can finish this contract for once and for all. I was quoted an amount, I then made a cash deposit of the full amount and concluded that this was finalised. The lady assisting me today confirms the cash deposit I had made, she even confirmed my cell number and husbands. Because I am asking her, from 2016 till now how have they made sure I know about the outstanding amount. She explains cell c had tried to call me. I am disputing that! Why would I hurt my credit health by a measly R104 (at the time) when I have bigger debt that I pay off religiously every month if I am not able to I make an arrangement and follow through with it. I really feel hurt and abused by cell c's actions as a result it has cost me so much pain that I can not even begin to describe. My family and I were looking forward to concluding the purchase of a vehicle which is now declined due to cell c not taking the correct steps to advise me. I went according to a cell c's consultants instruction to pay the amount at the bank and to conclude the contract. I blame myself for not pulling an annual credit report but I did not imagine that a reputable institution such as cell c could trip me up like this. I will pay this R700 odd amount as I am desperate to clear my name and to move on with my financial well being. Companies like cell c are big because of our support and they misuse their powers and they will never even imagine how I feel today and the effect their staff's actions have on clients lives long after that call ends. I feel I have disappointed my family but I will survive. I need cell c to forward me all my voice recordings, more especially the recording advising me to go pay the last cash deposit and thereafter the proof that they had called me and my husbands numbers. Good day, today is the 20th of September, I called the store and spoke to the Manager Thula. She has not yet received the recording. Please call the store manager yourselves to confirm that this recording has not been sent since. Whoever is responding to my complaint is surely not taking the time to confirm that this recording has indeed been delivered to the store. I can not believe the level of ignorance from cell c, all it takes is for the actioner to pick up the phone and call the store to confirm whether or not the recording has been sent instead of confirming blindly. Instead, I am doing the liaising. Kindly ensure I receive the recording by end of today. Thanks
Can you kindly ensure the manager at the store calls me to confirm such. As explained I had rushed to the store only to be told the recording had not been delivered, I then left my contact details for the manager to call me should the recording be available. I am yet to receive that call confirming the recording is there. I do not want to waste my time and petrol as I have done before.

I was called by Lungile on the 12th of September and she agreed to forward the voice recordings to the cell c in King Williams town, gave me the managers number. I got to the store on the same day and the manager advised someone had called and advised they would send the recording but had not been sent at the time. I left my contact details on the 12th of September and I was not contacted. I just called the store now on the 14th of September and was advised by the manager the recording had not been sent. I urgently need to resolve this case please and to do that I need the recording. Thank you

We were at Cell C Zevenwacht mall to report a broken contract phone. I was helped, so the lady who helped me account lock out. She just say her account logged out, her manager is not there to help and no one else can help me. Bulshut. How can no one helped me. I had to turn around. This is time and money. they have transferred my contract into someone else's name and wont return it
I have had my cell number for almost 17 years. I originally had a pay as you go Vodacom number and then took out a contract with Vodacom telephonically in approx. 2005. I cancelled the contract and ported out to Cell C in about 2011 with Autoopage. They went under and transferred my contract to Nashua mobile, who then also went under and transferred my contract to Glocell. Glocell has now gone under and migrated my contract to Cell C but they transferred it to another person's name, Hendrik Terblanche (they have transferred 6 other peoples contract to his name) Glocell no longer exists and there is no one I can speak to. Cell C is refusing to return the contract back to my name, they want the original signed contract from 2005, which was done telephonically? They are still billing my bank account though! I have given them my last statement, which is in my name and my bank statement proving they are billing me (the amount is also incorrect, it is much more than it should be) I went into one of the Cell stores and they have confirmed that on my ID number there are NO contracts, yet they are billing me. This is my business number and as I said before, I have had it for almost 17 years. I can't upgrade, cancel or do anything because it is in someone else's name! Cell C won't/can't help, they just blame Glocell, Glocell does not exist... This has been gong on for almost 2 months and not one single person will assist me. They want to do credit vetting? and i have to re-apply for my OWN number and contract. This is absolutely ridiculous and I have no idea what to do. If I stop my debit order who will they demand the payment from? Technically if this is not my contract i will sue them for 15 years of billing.

I called cell c to cancel my contact the person I spoke to said I would be debited one last time and then my contract would be over but they then debited me again the following month called I to complain about the matter and they said they would listen in to the call recording to get me feedback after waiting for a few days I get a call from someone in cellc who claims to be a manager (the reason I say claims to be a manager is because if that was the manager he should be able to handle such a simple query but could not) he then tells me that the person I spoke to could have made an error in telling me that I won't be debited again but provided no solution to my problem just kept explaining the same thing over and over again.. This is the reason why I canceled my contract in the first place cellc has terrible customer service I have yet to have a good experience with them and if they debited my account after saying that they would not I consider that to be stealing because I did not give them permission to take out money from my account again

insurance/ phone booked for repair/ 1 month already
I took out my 2nd contract with cell c + the insurance around May 2018. phone type Huawei P20 Lite, unfortunately on the 1st of August 2018 my phone slipped and broke the screen, I went to The Glen mall to book it in for repairs, I kept on following up with call center +[protected], my phone is now apparently with underwriting of which when they sold out an insurance to me no one mentioned anything about the underwriting. I have been following up for 4 weeks, the call center cannot be able to advise regarding the turn around time, which really puzzles me what kind of a business that does not have a turn around time in place. I am sitting without a phone, I have not skipped my insurance premiums however cell c is taking me from pillar to post. I logged a complaint with cell c to resolve this issue, I was promised that the people from the underwriting department will give me a call that was on the 29 August 2018, till then no one has followed up with me. I am disgusted at cell c's customer services especially as the leading cell phone company.

no feedback or assistance with migration
There was great eager to assist when applying for 2 contracts but now that I have the contracts there is no assistance further - is this the type of service I can expect from Cell C? If this is the case I don't want the contracts - my 1 condition from the very start and this was agreed to by the lady who handled my application, was that I would be able to keep my old numbers and link it to the contract numbers via the migration option. She said I needed to get the contract numbers first before they can do the migration. After I got the numbers she said I mist phone in - the customer care operators was a mission to get hold of and once I did they were unable to assist. Finally I got hold of someone who said I needed to pay R500 per sim to migrate as this should have been done prior to me receiving my contract numbers.
I mailed the lady who assisted with te applications again as this was not part of the agreement. she told me to phone 084145. I did but the operators had no idea what migration means, or what I wanted.
Once again I returned to the lady who assisted me in the application but she just vanished - No response to my mails and no reply to my numerous requests for assistance.

This has been the worse experience of my life trying to cancel my contract
Went into the Alberton Cell-C offices on 20 March and spoke to Phelokzi to cancel my contract. Gave her a letter to cancel
Went back 23 May to cancel again and gave them a letter cancelling the contract.
Went back to Cell-C- Alberton City and was told to call the number. Spoke to Lerato @ cancellation dept. Gave them the letter
Spoke to Roebelle x 2 In May in Call Centre and cancelled.
June the same with Dudu, July the same, August the same
1 Sept phoned Nthombi and cancelled contract. Told me cancelled but must send an e-mail to business @cellc.co.za and she will reposed.
No response back.
Phone back 3 Sept and there is o record after I spoke to Paul, Maleleko, Landi, Nonkululeko, Zihaar and Leah. I was cut off 6 times and everytime I have to call back and repeat the same questions.
So because Nthombi did not put anything on the system I now have to pay for October as well.
Leah noted that the contract is now cancelled, but will have to pay.
This has been the worse experience of my life with Cell-C and as far as I am concerned my money was taken without any consideration that I am a pensioner and I have cancelled this contract more than 6 times and have been trying since May to get this contract cancelled.

I am also trying to cancel my contract. Cancelled my contract end of July, just to find out yesterday that the contract was never cancelled. I went to a Cell C store, they said I can only call 084 143 to cancel the contract and only do so from 08h00 to 16h00 from Mondays to Fridays. My 24 month contract has expired end of July and I DO NOT WANT/NEED TO CONTRACT ANYMORE. Legally I only subscribed for 24 months and I cancelled the contract at the end of July. Why is it so difficult to cancel a contract.
score to upgrade
On Friday 31/8/18 I wanted to upgrade to the p20 when I was informed at a branch that my score have been removed due to a cancellation of an contact. Just over a year ago I was instructed by cell c to cancel a contract cause my account was hacked by their staff. Since March this year I received numerous calls to upgraded and now I can not because my scoring was removed.
Both myself and the instore clerk tried to contact client services and was unsuccessful. On Saturday I tried again only to be place through to all the department's with no help. Eventually whilst holding on for a superb my call got dropped.
I have been a loyal client for 10 year's and missed out on a contract and received be service as a thanks form the leading cellular company.

Totally disgusting booked my Samsung s8 at cell c gateway on friday 31.08.2018 for repairs.I was told by the consultant Deon that there was a hitch in the system he would contact me the fllg day it's the 01 .09.2018 at 1pm to date he has made no contact with me.The phone is not even a year old he said there wouldn't be a warrantee and didn't give me a replacement phone nor did he give me a ref nr.for taking the phone.
Numerous unsuccessful attempts to the landline and cell number to make contact with him.
I have been a loyal cell c customer for decades and yet get treated this way.
I have no interest at this.point to remain a customer.

40 gig promotion with mobile wi-fi
I went for an upgrade on my contract for LTE internet service. On the promotion it had 40gigs pm + free mobile Wi-Fi and flexi black.
I signed the contract and noticed on the app I'm on a 10gig smart data plan which is annoying as on the promotion it states 40gigs pm. On my contract it breaks down as 10gigsdata, 7, 5% subscription fee discount for smart data 10gb, 10gb free data bundle prorate, 10gigs free gigabits bundle for smartdata.
I understand the 10gb turning the day and 10gb at night. I'm not sure what happens to the other 20gb?
I find it very insensitive that cell c would do such a thing to make it seem like a person is getting more for less but in actual fact a person is getting way less than what is being promoted. There is no difference between telkom and cell c all are just a headache when it comes to just simply selling what is actually being offered

I bought a cell C summit phone.
the phone is now absolutely useless and unusable because of the CONSTANT POPUP ADVERTS that appear on my phone.
the phone is slower than snails pace because of this and also using all my data, which is in essences CELL C stealing my data.
I am not happy with this and unless I get assistance or an answer how to remedy this and completely irradiate these adverts I am going to take this issue to the press.

I have been calling and emailing Cell-C C Surance about my phone repair claim since 2 August 2018. During my 5th follow up call do I only then find out that they still need from me a completed Claim Form and a copy of my ID document.
During the entire month that this claim has been standing and not one person has the customer service or common decency to notify me that these documents are still required before repairs can commence.

Overcharged on Invoice: My husband continuously received messages stating that his phone will be cut if he did not pay his account. We continuously called in to say that he was up to date but the amount was still deducted. I have all the statements that reflect that he has overpaid.
Unauthorized debit orders: My debit order goes off on the 6th of a month because that's when the funds are available but they doing it at the beginning of the month, every time I try rectify it the person I speak to says it's done but then it happens again. Then the debit it again later in the month and each time there are no funds I get charged R70.
They have now cut my phone and I have been told to go into a shop to have it re-activated.
Fraudulent activity: My daughter's phone which is in my name as she is a minor has been defrauded. She received a call from a "cell c agent" requesting the otp number that was sent to her phone, she obliged as she thought it was an agent and her account was upped to R4200 which was immediately spent on data. I have reported this countless times but keep on getting the same response. This amount was increased AFTER I put a limit of R50 on her account, in fact, this limit was put on and I asked that it be strictly adhered to when I first got the account for her.
So, I received the exact same response as before from Cell C on the Complaints Board. I think it's automated. I have emailed them twice and have had no reply.
Today I received an sms saying the my account is in arrears and will be suspended. I called in and spoke to yet another consultant, explained the situation, yet again and he made notes on their system, yet again. My phone was cut anyway. I called the call centre again and this time I asked to speak to management. I was put through to the supervisor, Evangeline. I repeated the entire story to her, YET AGAIN. She has told me that she will get back to me before 5pm today...YET ANOTHER PROMISE HAS BEEN MADE. Now I wait... YET AGAIN.
If this is not sorted out by 5pm today then I will be cancelling all dealings with Cell C.
If I receive another automated response to this message I think I will scream.
TO WHOEVER FROM CELL C READS THIS MESSAGE... YOU HAVE ALL THE INFO THAT HAS APPARENTLY BEEN ESCALATED, REPORTED, REGISTERED AND NOTED ON YOUR "SYSTEM" SO DO NOT RESPOND OR CALL UNLESS YOU HAVE A SOLUTION!
I received a call on the 30th of August with promises of resolutions.
It took an entire week before I received another call, being today, from a different agent following up on the first email, like he knew nothing of what my complaints were. In my frustration I asked what of my 3 issues had been solved and none of them have been solved but was told that I would receive a call TODAY from another department that would sort something out... still waiting for that call. I have now, out of desperation, sent another email which says:
Yet again was promised a call back and still waiting.
Yet again was promised my Cell C accounts to be sent to me via email and still waiting.
Yet again was promised feedback with regards to the fraud case and still waiting.
Received a call today from yet another agent who asked me the same questions as the previous countless agents but had no feedback as to what the resolutions were.
I would like a call from the first person that responded to the first email.
NOTHING has been resolved except that the debit order has been stopped so that Cell C doesn't debit my account every 5 seconds.
You have until close of day tomorrow to call me with real feedback otherwise I WILL BE TAKING THIS FURTHER.

I cancelled a Cell C contract as it came to a end. Cell C is still deducting the subscription. I phoned again and now they say it will take another month so its cost me 1200 rand for a service I am not using anymore. This time I insisted on a Ref number lets see...
I just find it very unprofessional as it was supposed to be cancelled the first time I asked. I spoke to a guy by the name of Thabo who helped me the second time hopefully he will cancel it this time my Ref number is [protected]

fraudulent / unauthorised debit order deductions while under dispute
I have repeatedly (telephonically) reported the incorrect, unauthorised and fraudulent deductions by Cell C off my Cell C contract ABSA debit order but the matter is not being resolved. The details are as follows:
• Contract: Pinnacle 50
• Credit limit: R 183-18 p.m.
• Involuntary migration from GLOCELL to Cell C in July 20018 (Things seem to have gone totally wrong in Cell C's admin department during this process).
• (Not a single invoice has been received from Cell C despite my details having been confirmed several times)
• First fraudulent deduction: R 6501-42 on 15 / 08 / 2018 from my bank account via my debit order.
• I telephonically reported to Cell C - they said they would investigate and revert back to me and send invoices - nothing received to date.
• I reversed the debit order payment via my ABSA internet banking, pending feedback from Cell C.
• Telephonically contacted by Cell C - Thendile Kubeka on 22 / 08 / 2018, they said they would investigate and revert back to me and send invoices - nothing received to date.
• Second fraudulent deductions: R 5000-00 and R1501-42 on 24 / 08 / 24 Ref. NAEDO TRACKED DO CELLC SP*0/[protected]*060 and SP*0/[protected]*060.
• Telephonically reported the status to Cell C - Londiwe on 26 / 08 / 2018, she confirmed the issue was under investigation and Cell C would contact me, she also undertook to send invoices - none received at this time.
It is shocking that Cell C can deduct any amounts from customers' debit orders without justification and while a matter has been reported and is under dispute - this borders on criminality / fraud!
I respectfully request that this matter can be resolved and that I am reimbursed without further delay. I would also like to request the cancellation of my contract (without any penalty to me) as I have no confidence in Cell C being able to run a prudent business. Failing this, I will have to resort to formally pursuing this matter in a legal way.
