blacklisting of a mobile device
i had a dual sim phone and my service provider is cell C, i went to a branch to black list the first imei with no hiccups, now my insurance came back to me saying i have to blacklist the second imei, i went back to cell c and have been moved from pillar to post even thou they can pick up the 2nd imei on their network with some number i dont even know, i provided receipts even the original packaging on the phone still no joy it has been 3 weeks now someone please help!

I was promised R8000 to use towards subscription and usage after we were disappointed by Glocell with regards to the MSC cruise.
I have on many occasions requested that my usage be capped at 10gb per month. I have done this at the branch and through the Glocell contact centre. Both assured me that it was done.
Now I recieve a bill for over R2000.
How many times must we go through this?
This is the 3rd or 4th time.
I have made hours of phone calls to Glocell, costing me large amounts of money and always end up back to this.
Your call centre support, service, and incompetence towards customers is pathetic. There is no winning with Glocell.
My wife is with Telkom mobile and I have my business phone with Vodacom, were we both requested, just once, that our usage should be capped at a certain limit and it was done within seconds.
With Glocell however, it has cost me tons of airtime and wastage of petrol going to the branch and it still has not been done.
This is over and above the stress and frustration of the MSC cruise debacle.
I am continuously disgusted by your service and being pushed from pillar to post whenever I call. I cannot call the contact centre anymore, in fear of losing my sanity...I am not joking. This is the level of frustration I have been pushed to by Glocell.
The sad thing is that I cannot cancel as I signed a 2 year contract last year after being promised a fully paid MSC cruise and excellent service from "THE MOBILE GENERATION"
Lies and incompetence is all I have recieved.
I want to cancel this contract. I will not let this carry on.

I recently took out a contract with cell c, despite the number of problems i had with them while on a prepaid!
I took the contract out and was advised in the store to take out an insurance to protect myself against loss, theft and damage. I inquired about the inaurance and asked if i needed to repair my phone for any reason will a temp phone be given to me, they did say if a phone is available they will provide me with one. so I took out the insurance and almost 2 months later i needed to make a claim because my phone screen cracked.
I called the insurance and they told me i needed to take my phone into the store and I did that. While in the store i called the insurance and asked for the excess amount i needed to pay, they advised me to ask the consultant in the store. The consultant was of no help and told me they couldnt help because they dont fix the phones.
When i went into the store i was hoping to be helped as i am a customer. But cell c is ridiculous and they did not provide me with any option of a courtesy phone, they had no idea what the insurance side required infact they told me all thwy did was sell the insurance and they dont know anything else about it. Which is ridiculous if you are selling a product to your customers! As a customer i am pating cell c for both my contract and my insurance! And i feel completely let down by their service.

I have a contract with cell c for a microsoft phone. I had problems with the phone from the start and when I wanted to return the phone, the manager told me it was too late (Even though there was a public holiday and all the shops were closed). I missed the return with one day. They sent my phone for repairs because the battery was faulty and when it came back I still couldn't use my phone. I have this phone for over a year and I used it for maximum of two months as it was always in for repairs. According to the consultant their repair centre couldn't see anything wrong with the phone and only did a software update, now we should take the phone to a company called gsm to have the phone repaired but the warranty won't pay for it because the repairs aren't done at their repair centre. I still pay the contract every month even if I don't use the phone! I went to cell c today and while the consultant was busy on the phone the phone died while it showed that the battery is fully charged. Should I really pay for a phone that is faulty and one that I don't (Can't) use?

I have the same problem! The screen cracked cause the battery got to hot! Send it in for repairs 1 month after receiving the phone a Microsoft lumia 950xl. They told me nothing is wrong with the Battery! And charged me 2600 to fix the screen! Which I declined! When I received the phone back it wouldn't come back on! It would only come back on if on charge. The battery is swollen the phone won't stay on even if the battery says its full! I went to a cell c shop to buy a new battery but not one branch can help me! They said I must phone cell c direct to order a battery! Now they tell me they can't help me either! I pay R400 a month for a phone that doesn't work!
I don't care about the screen! I just want a battery but absolutely nobody can help me!
Not even a China shop. So tell me cell c isn't this unfair!

incorrect billing address
Last month we changed our billing address and were assured that on this months account, the changes would be reflected. We received our new account on 7 April 2017, and wonder of wonders, the address has not been corrected. We had to have the correct address on the account for SARS, we have now run out of time. This is costing us millions of rands, as it is required for an import permit.
We have been trying to get through to the legal department today, by dialing 140, they put us through and we hang on for ages and then get cut off, so we have to start the process all over again. This is really not good enough.

termination of contract after activation and payment
I have 2 contracts with Cell C. One was closed down due to non payment, although it was in arrears my debit order was taken the end of Feb.During the month of March I made arrangements to bring the arrears up to date, which I did in the amount of R2000 (more then what I should have paid).On the very same day, they activated the incoming and outgoing calls, 3 hours afters this my account was terminated followed by a sms reading that they note the cancellation of my account and it will be effected on 31 March 2017.I did not cancel my account and how can they activate my number just to deactivate and permanently terminate my number.I have this number for a very long time and I use it for my business.I now have lost business because of my number not working.I went to the branch in my home town and they tried to assist but to no avail.If I want to keep my number I need to pay R5921.01, I see now on my statement that they will debit my bank account. I did not agree to this and this was not part of my contract will Cell C.If they debit my account I will most surely lay a claim for fraud.All the consultants I speak to are very unhelpful and it seems like they do not really know what is going on.The legal department can't even help me.I want feedback. I want my number reinstated.I will not let this go.The service I have received are not up to standard and Cell C are also in breach of contract on this point. Kindly get back to me. Samsung galaxy phone contract
I have a contract deal with cell c samsung galaxy phone and its worth R200 pm for 24months but what i am complaining about is that data, sms/mms and minutes i dont recieve it each and every month, i recieve those things once in two months but i pay every month.
And another thing, i have never use my data, sms/mms and minutes to that extend that i might use all this things that u might charge me more than R200 but always i pay more than R200.
Please if u dont fix this issue i might cancel this contract.

Both my contracts with cell c were cancelled, on the 28/02/2017. My last debit was suppose to be on the 28/02/2017. I noticed on my bank statement that i was debited on the 31/03/2017 for an, amount of R236.82. I will really appreciate it if url urgently reimburse this, money to me. contract termination
I was transferred to glocell by autopage without my choice.
Little did i know that this company is so bad with service.Calls are not answered, their store are far from cities, network reception goes off, such a bad service i could not wait for my contract to expire.
On the 9th february 2017, i was pro-active and notified glocell for my intentions to terminate my contract when it expires on 31st march 2017. They responded to my email, acknowledging receipt and confirming my contract will be terminated by 31st march 2017.
To my surprise on the 3rd April, i accidentally attempted to make a call from my phone, and surprisingly it went through then i realised but my contract has expired, how come i am able to make calls without recharging. On the 5th April 2017, i called glocell and they telling me there was a network error for termination of contracts and will be stuck with them for the 30 days again.
Your glocell contract on straight up 100 topup + sim with cell phone number [protected] will be terminated and number migrated to prepaid effective end of mar 2017. Your reference is [protected].~this is a response from glocell.
I want this contract terminated immediately today and my number migrated to prepaid effective 05 april 2017.
I will go to the bank and disable a debit order on the 26th april because according my contract i am done with glocell, the last debit order is on the 25th april 2017.
incorrect billing
Hi, I have received confirmation from cell c for successful termination of my contract dated for 28/02/2017. On review of my bank statement it was noted that I have been billed for the month of March, with a debit order amount of R443.36 deducted from my account.
I no longer reside in South Africa, please urgently ensure that this gross error be corrected and that I receive immediate reimbursement of the above mentioned amount owing.

poor quality of the cell phones the company supplies on contract.
I have been very disappointed on the level of poor quality your cellphones are. I have been a customer on contract with the company for over 6 years the first two phones didn't give me much problem at least I can justify their problems by saying I kept them for quite a while about two years at most, those were the Samsung Galaxy pocket and Nokia Lumia. I then recommended the company to my wife and daughter, through me they took the contract via my name and this was last year May. They were given a Nitro lite, Citrus and the Mobicell Tab, all three phones broke all of them are now not working at all. The three of us had to buy other cellphones ontop of the expense we already have paying CELL C. I am not on social media but my daughter (Nompumelelo Msibi) is and its through her I am posting this complain.
I am very much disappointed I am actually mad there's a lot of money I am paying and its for nothing.

the laptop that I sent to glocell for repair
I had a laptop that I took at Altech Autopage Galleria on the 26th of June 2015. A year later the laptop gave me problems and I took it to Glocell Island Circle Offices in Durban for repair that was October 20th 2016. I was told that I must submit the invoice in order for them to book it as I didn't bring it with me which I did on the following day. Four weeks later I phoned to found out how far are they with fixing my laptop. To my surprise the laptop was missing nobody knew what happened to it a week later I was informed that the laptop was at Westwood mall. I went to confirm if it was the correct laptop and fortunately it was . After four months of waiting and going to the branch to get the feedback I was to different story and I was referred to the lady called Nonkululeko who promised to assist me. Unfortunately I was told to come and fetch the laptop. On fetching the laptop Sheldon assured me that the laptop was sent to Head for repair and he can't open it as it had a flat battery. On my arrival at home the laptop was not even touched or fixed. I'm still stuck with laptop that is not working.

I have taken out a contract with autopage, and to my knowledge all autopage customers was handed over to there network provider.
As I was with cell c I have been moved to glocell, when taking out my contract with autopage I then took insurance but when moving it over from one company to another the insurance cancelled and I was not advised about this..
My base contract subscription was at 199x24pm but I was paying 260pm for my monthly line rental thinking that the extra charges are for the insurance...
I got robbed a few weeks ago and needed to blacklist my handset, when I called in to enquiry about my phone I was told I had no insurance with glocell, when I went into the store branch in kenilworth the branch manager advised me I was paying for bis but I had a huawei p8 lite how strange is that... I have proff of my insurance that ive signed up for previously. Its been about 2weeks now and no feedback has been given to me, I feel that this company is incompetent in what they are doing. I needed to take out an addition line which was not necessary.. I will be taking this to the Ombudsmen of telecommunications as I feel that ive been mistreated and mislead by this company...
One of the marketing law is, if a company take over another it needs to be with taken with all amendments and if there is to be any adjustments customers needs to be advised...

I had a cellphone contract with cell C and decided to pay up and close the contract. I was given a settlement amount and all the details to use to pay up the account. I did all that in November 2016 and the simcard was changed to prepaid. I am now receiving calls that I have an outstanding balance with Cell C that I do not understand. Please assist me regarding this issue.

free ship cruise never materializes!!
In June 2016 we took out a contract with Glocell which stipulated that we receive a free cruise if we enter before 15 June. On 27 June 2016 we received an email voucher from TLC Rewards Glocell [protected] or [protected]@tlcrewards.com) stating that we must call them in November to make a booking. Together with this we also received a Congratulations email saying that we qualify for a cruise to nowhere with the compliments of Glocell. We had to complete the letter and they gave us 3 different dates to choose from for the date of cruise. The dates were 13 to 15 Jan 2017, 27 to 29 Jan 2017 (we chose this one) and then 28-30 April 2017. I emailed this form back to [protected]@tlcrewards.com and I emailed the complete form form back to them on the same date. On their they say they will get back within 10 working days. If you try to call the tel number given no one know anything.
The contract was in the name of Eugene Kotze. Cell number [protected] and email [protected]@gmail.com.

Then no further contact from them. We kept sending emails. The they got back and said they cannot find any of our info. Then finally on 3 Feb 2017 we got a letter saying that there were too many applicant and it was too overwhelming. They cannot accommodate us.
This is not fair and contract break - especially after all the confirmations and congratulations and chosing of dates of cruise!
Please assist us. We are insisting on a cruise or R8000 cash to book our own cruise.

I am CEO of a company called Acrobranch. I have been very happy with Cell C in my personal capacity since 2002 and decided to move all our branches from Vodacom to Cell C.
This all our managers have Cell C, Cat S 30 phones and we buy the 100 Gig Data bundle every 6 months per park, this we have been extremely supportive to Cell C, sadly we have not experienced the same from your store at Malls of the Reds.
I bought I brand new router there Saturday, and it was faulty so took it back Tuesday as it was in our Melrose park, so had to get in my diary to collect and take it to them. The managers attitude Cale V Rensburg was pathetic, I told him the lady manager is much more helpful as I frequented the shop a few times to buy the Data bundles. He made it clear she was just the assistant and he was the manager, I felt it should be the other way around with that attitude. Anyways the router was faulty and he informed me it would take 7 days. This is not acceptable, we are in a modern era where this is just not possible, is it? Our parks are all connected life to our booking system in Cape Town and our point of sales are life as well, does he expect me to close the park for a week?
I then bough another router from around the corner, they assured me if it is faulty they will swap it immediately. Sadly business lost for Cell C as he needs to process refunds now that apparently also takes 7 days? I also believe these actions are breaking the consumer protection act as far as my knowledge stretches under 7 days they have to exchange with a new unit with as little inconvenience as possible if you can clearly see the thing has no scratch, has not been dropped and it is not the clients fault you sell faulty equipment, but I will email them also to check and state my problem with them as well.
Sadly I think even Government seem to be a bit more helpful than what I experienced on Tuesday, and maybe I could have been happy with most if the person had some decent attitude.
I have to add, I stopped counting how many times I have been to this store that they had no stock, fortunately as I kept on buying around the corner store for a R 1000 more per unit, but at least all their units seem to work, pity Cell C did not have any stock so I would not have had this bad experience to start of with. I will have to reevaluate our change to Cell C - Hoping and trusting this is not the norm ?

On the 2/3 I spoke to your employee Mr Z Green to discuss the Pinnacle 400. While we were busy he was more interested in his own phone & watching what was going on in the store.
I brought this to his attention he did not even hear what I said to him so I am not surprised that this incident has happened.
I explained to him that I need a business contract as that is what I do for a living. He failed to tell me that 0860 or 0861 numbers are not covered on any of your plans.
That is why I needed a business plan as I use these numbers frequently.
I have taken this up with his Boss Carl Brooks who also told me NO Service Provider allows these numbers to be used from the normal minutes. I then sent him a copy of my Telkom bill to show him what he was saying was incorrect.
Now I have to wait 3 months to port my number back to a service provider that I can use these numbers on. In other words I cannot do my job because of your sales person that does not take the time to explain your product correctly.
NOT Acceptable.
