2019 chevrolet silverado trailboss
Getting to the point quickly: I bought my truck new and now that I have reached 30,000 miles (October of 2022) the brakes sound like a 1980's clunker, squealing like no one's business. I can't tell that I have any braking issues, but to say this is embarrassing is an understatement, so I took it to the dealership. The dealer looked at it (service date of 11/23/22) and said that the compound of the brake pad was changing causing the squeaking and that I can pick it up with nothing getting resolved. I told them I am no mechanic, but brake pad compound changing only after 30,000 miles just don't make sense and asked if they would look again. They said they looked again and it wasn't that the compound was changing, it's that the pad has different compounds and that I should expect the sound at 30,000 miles. I was told that an aftermarket pad should solve the issue. Did a Chevy representative really just say that an aftermarket pad is better engineered than a Chevy pad? I should not "expect" a nasty squealing noise from my vehicle with 30,000 miles on it as I have older vehicles that do not have that sound.
Desired outcome: Chevy should replace my brake pads with a pad that resolves the embarrassing squealing noise.

2016 chevy equinox lt poorly built engine.
I had purchased and financed for a 2016 chevy equinox LT about 3ish years ago. As soon as I purchased the vehicle, the car broke down the first time and all they did was replace my battery without addressing or documenting the other issues that they instead just completely disregarded. A few months later I was having issues with my oil burning at an alarming rate. Found out that the way gm manufactured these specific engines, they used faulty / unreliable parts. Come to find out that the main seals put in these vehicles are very thin and degrade extremely fast causing excessive oil consumption. few months later, another engine light for cram shaft sensor and reduced engine speed and also high fuel pressure... so I had the solenoids replaced... and the issue was resolved so the company said. I religiously did my oil changes and basic maintenance etc. again, another few months later my solenoids went bad again... fixed it again! This time the same thing happened, but now my engine is completely shot, and my timing chain snapped. There was no warning that anything was even wrong. I just recently had my oil changed also. Thousands of reports have been made for this specific issue for the same year make and model of the car. The mechanic who looked at my vehicle and gave me the diagnosis stated he's had dozens of people bring the SAME EXACT vehicle I currently have, and they were all diagnosed with the same exact issues, and it was said that Chevrolet should be held responsible building a faulty engine...
I've called chevy headquarters, the place that sold me the vehicle, my finance company and my insurance... they all told me it's my responsibility to fix, to keep making my insurance and car payments and that there is absolutely nothing they can do... I am a single mom with 2 kids that doesn't have thousands of dollars just sitting around to pay for an issue that isn't even my fault. I haven't worked in 2 weeks and will probably be losing my job next. This isn't fair and I believe that the manufacturer should 1000000% be held liable for faulty vehicles they are continuing to sell without informing people of the common engine issues these specific vehicles are having. When I purchased my vehicle, the report NEVER stated ANYTHING about this common problem. I was promised and assured / reassured that I would have this car for a long time, the engine life is phenomenal, never had an accident. I was given a perfect report basically. Said the gas milage was incredible which was also another lie... these cars need pulled off of the market so innocent people don't have to deal with potential of losing everything they have including their home because they can no longer get to work. Please help! I won't stop until I know people including myself do not have their lives ruined because some company just wants to make a quick buck.
Desired outcome: I want my vehicle replaced with a RELIABLE UN-FAULTY vehicle that is safe for me and my 2 little girls... This issue needs to be resolved and financial responsibility should 100% be covered by the manufacturer.
2017 Chevrolet Cruze LT
VIN 1G1BE5SM9H7136906
I brought my car into the dealership on Monday, 9.12.22. My check engine light had come on and I obtained the diagnostic code of P300. Once I received the code I scheduled an appointment. I was aware it was going to be an inspection to identify the issue.
I received word after 1 hour that "I needed a new engine" at the cost of $8000.00. I was told that there were other issues as well; emission, tire sensors and the culprit was a piston with a low PSI.
Just like that? A vehicle with 56,000 miles on it - not paid off - religiously serviced - barely driven has a bad piston - non-invasive inspection at the cost of $170.00
My warranty expired in January of 2022 (5 years or $60,000). I'm still covered for the emissions issues.
First of all I was offered no "plan" of attack other than the approximate price of a new engine. Secondly, I was asked if I had been "racing" my car? Not to mention the laughing after that - I felt like I was being judged as a stupid woman.
Further investigation led me to find out that there are issues with the 2017 Cruze regarding the pistons and an internal memo was distributed within, but not to the public.
I cannot afford $8000 nor can I be without a vehicle as I have just managed to obtain full time employment and it requires that I have a vehicle. I am 63 years old and single - it's just me!
I would appreciate some direction here. This is my 5th GM vehicle in my lifetime.
Thank you
Terri Martinelli
Desired outcome: Re-extend the warranty that expired in January of 2022 based on the fact that dealers knew about the defect and did nothing to protect the consumer.Find a way to get me into a new vehicle with payoff of my existing loan
2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD paint peeling
I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD vin# 1GCHK23698F209836 and the paint is peeling on the roof. After doing research I found that this has been problematic with these trucks. Why has there not been a recall and will Chevrolet back their product and pay for its repair? I’m getting an estimate from my local body shop.

Paint on 2017 chevy tahoe - black currant
2017 Chevy Tahoe - Black Currant paint color - 131,000 miles . Daily driver
Paint started to fade and became a white haze . Went through a car wash and strached appeared all over the hood and top. Tried to contact Chevy and received the run around because I was over 100K miles. I then received an extimate from delaar who said it was thin/ cheap paint used by the mfg . That unless the vehicle was garage kept and waxed frequently it would not have lasted . Odd for a 5 year vehicle . The quote to strip/dand/repaint was $4600
Desired outcome: Chevy to pay the cost to repaint the vehicle -$4600

I own a 2021 Tahoe Lt diesel , on June 10, 2022 I received a message on my information center that I had water in the tank. We started the vehicle but it immediately died and would not restart. We had the vehicle towed to our dealership. (Schumaker in West Palm Beach), I have attached the invoice number 740394 .They seemed to replace filters and we picked up the vehicle on June 21.2022 with the assurance that the problem was resolved,
On July 31.2022 we drove the vehicle to Miami to pick up a friend. We had filled the diesel prior to leaving West Palm Beach and had no issues until we were ready to return which we again received the notice on the info center we had water in the tank, but it allowed us to drive at a slow mileage but after getting to a safe location we again had the vehicle towed to our dealership in West Palm since we didn't want to leave the vehicle in Miami. So they have had the vehicle since that day today being October 3 telling us they have been waiting on a part, they attempted to get the part from another dealership but this dealership tripled the price since they seem to be the only place in the nation that has the part which is fuel pump drive module, I think I have been very patient on waiting on this part , The dealership has been very good about calling us every few days with an update, First I paid over $1600 the first time this happened and after a month the issue appeared again and I have been told it is going to cost about the same amount. I am very frustrated at this point and am wondering is this is some kind of recall, I want my car back and I feel general motors needs to do something about the lack of parts. I have paid over $800 in towing charges so you can see my frustration.
Desired outcome: My desire at this point is to get this done, or if you can't get the part replace my car with a new one or pay me the full price I paid for my car. I love my car and I would purchase another one But most of all I WANT THIS FIXED
2014 Silverado
Onstar service being discontinued for in truck controls after Dec. 2022.
Said my remote entrance wouldn't work either, This bothers me the most. If you have to use a key, there is only one keyhole. You, also, would not have remote lock and unlock capabilities. This is ridiculous! You pay a high price for a vehicle and then be done like this.
What is Chevrolet planning on doing to restore these services?
Desired outcome: Upgrade to restore lost services.
Chevrolet trax 2018
My daughter has purchased a2018 Chevrolet Trax 1.4 liter and she has been having problems with stabil track and the car stalling it has a little over 50,000 miles now still having the problem . We have replaced multiple sensors and spark plugs o2 sensors and so on as far as Im concerned this should be repaired under a warranty she had the car to Troy Allen Chevrolet to have the thing checked the issue never resolved.
She in on her own with 2 children and is dependent on this car , it always does the cutting out thing and running rough at intersections it seems and one of these times Im afraid there is going to be a bad accident. I would like someone to address this issue because to keep chasing the problem with sensors and improper diagnosis is ridiculous!
Please help I can provide her name and phone number upon request. Thank you , George
Desired outcome: Want this fixed under warranty, this problem has been there way before the warranty expired !! So don’t give the warranty has expired [censored]
2013 Equinox LS
I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox LS with 101,000 miles on it in May of 2020. It ran perfectly until, with no warning whatsoever, it failed to start in a grocery store parking lot in mid-July of this year, 2022. I had it towed to a mechanic, expecting to find that it was a minor issue, like a faulty fuel pump. The mechanic told me that there is no compression in the engine and that it needs to be replaced or rebuilt.
How does something like this happen with absolutely no warning? How can an engine go from running perfectly to failing in the blink of an eye with no indication that it is on the brink of failure? Is this a common issue among Equinox models?
Desired outcome: I would like to have a running Chevrolet Equinox without having to first come up with $3,000. I’m still paying off the loan for the vehicle, and am no longer able to drive it.
damage from a dealership
Good afternoon, my last two oil changes have been at Vaden of Beaufort in SC. I came in recently because my last oil change, i saw a leak from my oil pain plug. I talked to a manager and we made an appt to get it inspected. He showed me that is wasn't from the oil pan but somewhere else. I would later PCS and take my vehicle to Marine chevy, they refused to work on my car because someone put the wrong drain plug in my oil pan. I am confused because the dealership was the only one to work on my vehicle.
Desired outcome: fix their mistake
This type a error should not be allowed and the company needs to correct their mistake.
Plastic window trim peeling off and delaminating after warranty expired on my 2019 Chevrolet Malibu
My wife noticed that the window trim around the door windows of her 2019 Malibu, were beginning to peel and delaminate. This is happening on all 4 doors. Our dealership and GM says because or Bumper to Bumper warranty expired at 63,000 miles, we would need to pay for it. Our current odometer reads 63,900 miles. Seems really funny to us that this should start to happen just as the warranty expired.
Desired outcome: That GM replace the trim or work on a decent price
Quality of pickup truck
This is my second chevrolet colorado I bought.. I had a 2015 with suspesion problems.. I traded it for a newer model... I bought a 2018 chevrolet colorado z71 with leaf springs that sound horrible... Pulleys that squeel but no dealer can help me get to the bottom of the problems... I have warranty but nothing helps... I have 3 kids and can afford to lose them in a wreck for low quallity build pick ups.. I always loved chevrolet pick up trucks but this is terrible and I see there is alot of people complaining about the colorado's quallity...
Desired outcome: would love someone to reach out and get it figured out... i pay good money for what i hoped was a good truck
My center chrome around the gear shift is cracking.
Brought my 2020 Colorado in for an oil change and to show them the center chrome piece is cracking. I expected them to replace it. The reason the service guy stated it may be cracking is from the heat. 38 grand for this truck and chevy is going to claim it is from the heat. I have purchased 3 cars from chevy and have lived in the same house with the same heat and not one had heat damage. My Silverado I purchased and had for many years is understandable that 18 years and the inside started showing old age, not a 2020 vehicle. When that service advisor used this excuse, I thought does he really think I am an idiot? Although he did say another car had come in with similar damage.
Desired outcome: replace the chrome on the center for a truck I paid a lot of money
2013 Chevrolet Cruze LT
Two cars were bought in Carsiri LLC on 06/24/2022.
Sadly enough, too many shady ways to receive dishonesty and unfair practice. First, the car didn't have Buyers Guide in the window of each vehicle they offered for sale. Instead, documents of selling and warranty were signed. Because the car that was brought recently was not inspected and thoroughly checked or certified by a mechanic or the dealer. However, Jason, who made all the financial and selling documents, gave us his word to bring the car back on Monday to be inspected and checked by the mechanic and order to make an appointment with the salesperson on June 27, 2022, at 11 am; what we didn't do was get any promises made in writing, and charges for an inspection were include on the signed papers for 48 hours window however no name was placed only signature. We just trust the word of a man, and inspection never happens. June 27, 2022, came, and before heading to the dealer, decided to call first to ensure everything was okay. They excused themselves and shared that it would not be possible because all the bosses were out and there were no credit cards or staff to check the car. After that day, we called almost every day, and the same response was made until one day that we went personally to the dealership to bring the car for checked, and there was nobody there; one of the employers explained that the mechanic was not always there that is near to them and he recommended to continue calling after 11 to see if we can make an appointment. After that, the car broke on June 24, 2022, and it has been a nightmare working with insurance and looking for a certified mechanic that works with Chevrolet. On July 27, 2022, we decided to go to the dealer and spoke with AJ, who also gave us his word and provided a phone number for a mechanic; after speaking in front of us with the mechanic, he gave us the instructions to call him the next day in the morning, and he will be picking the car and taking it to them to check it. They will be paying for the tow truck miles additional cost not covered by the insurance. Once again, we believed in men's words and didn't make them in writing. What we only had was the mechanic number. I followed the instruction and wrote to him to identify myself and address where the car was, as AJ instructed. Someone else proceeded to call me, but he was requesting $200 for picking up the vehicle. The same day we tried to contact AJ and place to let him know about the additional cost as he told us, but only messages were left, and no calls were returned.
In the meantime, we continue looking for places ASE as Veritas warranty explained without giving a list, but no one was accepting the car. On August 01, 2022, try to reach back mechanic, and he shared that he didn't know anything about the mentioned above and had no idea who AJ or the mechanic was. So we called them again, and the dealer and messages continued to be left because AJ administrator never took calls or was out of the office. Today is 08/10/22 car has not been able to be fixed; Veritas insurance doesn't cover the car issue. The car was sold overpriced at 12,050 with no buyer guide, no inspection made and no charged in the papers after 48 hours disclosure and unable yo complete by Monday 06/27/22, predelivery service charges, sold with defects, and no contact from the dealer until today. We bought two cars the same day, and with both had issues. Please don't let the need or urgency to buy a car keep you away from reading everything, writing everything that is said verbally, requesting a complete guide on warranty insurance, and reading all the charges they made for stuff that never happened. I cry almost every day because I bought the cars. After all, for necessity. Currently, the car fix is more than 1000 because the warranty doesn't cover it, and I cannot believe that people are not their word. Also, please make sure the value that the administrator gives to employees because he never believed that bringing back the car was told by any of them, which is true was told by one of the superiors. I want to share the experience and encourage people to make sure to understand and don't believe in promises. An apology will not replace all the money, but people know that being prepared can make a difference in important life decisions like buying a car or a house. The supervisor to his employer could apologize after letting us know in his own words that they don't know what they do and don't have capacity.
Desired outcome: An apology will not replace all the money, but people know that being prepared can make a difference in important life decisions like buying a car or a house.
Cheverolet Bolt EUV
I would like to get my car replaced.
when we purchased this car we were told it is not part of the battery recall.
Then after a month or two we were informed that it was.
I was told by the dealership that getting the batteries replaced is probably 2 more years away. This is unacceptable! I am making a car payment paying insurance only to be able to drive this car 100 miles between charges. This restriction sucks. Now I hear that you have lowered the price about 6k which makes selling impossible
Desired outcome: Replace with new identical good battery car

Hello, We bought a 2021 6500 Chevrolet Cab Chassis for work. Less than a year in this truck has managed to spend more time in the shop than on the road making our company money. We already have a case in works at our dealer.

1,st alternator bolt broke
Had to replace the alternator and the batteries because the batteries were killed
2, had a coolant leak at 30,000 miles approximately , turned out to be the water pump , that was changed out. After that we’ve had nothing but coolant issues. You even had an engineer look into the repair. OK second water pump was authorized by GM +2 thermostats plus before that was the reservoir coolant reservoir with it sensors replaced and then when the second water pump was done another radiator cap , plus a tensioner that we paid for , plus another set of batteries that cost $600.
Every day this damn truck is down it LITERALLY cost me up to THOUSANDS a day. This is our lively hood and when a truck is down for repairs for DAYS at a time, it hurts the business and it hurts our employees! A few years ago we had a faulty Dodge. I didn’t need a lawyer with them to have my issues resolved, I have not contacted one as of yet. I hope to be able to come to a reasonable solution to the situation. Obviously it would be a numbers game at this point.
My husband and other owner of ESAAK Delivery INC can be contacted at [protected] and he can give you a more detailed situation of how much money has been put into that vehicle such as,aftermarket items and to the cost of the downtime.
Desired outcome: We’d like to have the vehicle bought back. Plus be adequately compensated for the aftermarket parts, as well as the enormous cost of the downtime this lemon has cost ESAAK Delivery Inc.
finance-Gap and Warty refund
Traded the 2017 truck i bought from Hendrick GMC in Doluth GA. Have spent the last 12 weeks trying to get my refunds back. Have called dozens of times Darrin the finance guy is either not there or in a meeting or with other customers and not once has he or his boss returned my calls. I have even gone back and still get nothing but run around have never been treated with so much disrespect from any other dealership or any of the other Hendrick locations I have delt with. I originally dropped forms off May 5th its now mid July
Desired outcome: get my refund
Truck repair service
I have a 2021 Chevrolet truck I bought early last year. Sine November of last year when it broke down it has been sitting at a Chevrolet dealership in Firelands Ohio. It is still waiting on a part for 7 months. below is the information from the dealer:
Firelands Chevrolet [protected] I spoke to Shasta
Repair order# 6050006
They have the module, they are waiting on the tank Part# [protected]
SPAC number 9-G08888469
I am making payments on this truck and have also been renting a truck for 7 months just to keep my business open. I NEED THIS PART AND MY TRUCK REPAIRTED. GM is destroying my business. I need my truck or a new one to replace it waiting 7 months to get a truck repaired is totally unacceptable.
Desired outcome: I need my truck repaired or a new truck
AC repair service
May 17, 2022 at 8:30am I took my wife’s 2017 Impala in to Sapaugh GM in Herculaneum, MO to have the evaporator core replaced on the AC. I was told I would be charged for 13.2 hours plus parts and the car would be finished the following day.
Each day after I called and was told us was not complete and would be another day. By that Saturday I called and asked for a rental due to my wife missing a full week of work at that point. The car was promised to be done that coming Monday. Monday came, I called, not finished. The manager said he’d make sure it was done on Tuesday. A full week later. But it was done on Tuesday. The car was returned to us in terrible condition, oil rags under the seat. Dust and dirt blowing out of the vents and all over the car and dirt smashed in the carpet. The worst part, my wife drove to the store that night and we had a storm move in. She went to turn her wipers on and now they didn’t work. She was stranded until the rain let up and made it home hours later. I took the car back and it was detailed and the wipers fixed. But I messaged GM customer care to seek reimbursement for the terrible service we received and also to compensate for the whole weeks pay my wife lost due to this.
GM denied me any reimbursement based on the car not being under warranty which makes no sense because I wasn’t making a warranty claim. I know the car isn’t under warranty. I just feel I should be reimbursed for our lost time and income that GM’s certified dealer cost us. It’s unethical to render such awful customer service, even putting customers lives at risk, and deny any compensation on grounds of no warranty.
Desired outcome: My desire is to receive some financial reimbursement. And NOT points on my GM rewards. I paid $2,200 and we lost a week of my wife’s pay. In total we lost if I’m being generous $3,500 that week. I’d accept $1,500 cash back.
