misrepresentation of size
In august 2018 my husband and I traveled 200 miles to our closest dillard's store. He bought 4 pairs of khaki pants (that fit perfectly). After arriving back home, he decided to order 5 more pair of different colors, online - because they fit so well. We ordered the same style number and the same length, etc. The pants arrived. I washed them and discarded all tags and receipts. After all - they are the same style number and size of the ones he wears from the store. They should fit exactly the same. Right? Yesterday, he tried on a pair he ordered online. They are not the same length as the originals from the store (even though the tag says they are the correct length). I'm told that "unfortunately" they can do nothing for us because we didn't save the tags and receipts. Do I want to buy more khaki pants? Yes! Will i? No!
sales reps and security guard
On 10/3/2018 I went into the Dillard's store in College Station, Texas to find a white dress for a program we are having at our church. I am a constant shopper and I go into all the stores a lot but each time I go into the store I am followed as if I am stealing or trying to steal. I have bought many things from Dillard's and to be humiliated each time is unjustified. They was actually calling each department to tell them to watch me and the security guard would basically follow me in the store but on yesterday I bought the dress and I had to tell the lady that I bought the dress from that she can tell them that they do not have to call her and tell her to watch me. I am a disabled veteran and I respect the values of serving my country and I do NOT steal. I did tell 2 Asian ladies that they could stop watching me that I purchase what I want and I told the security guard as well while I held up my bag that I don't have to steal I can afford to buy what I want. I will NEVER EVER purchase from your corporation again and I will be returning the product I bought. I take my mom to the mall to walk because she's 75 years old and while she walks I shop. I have never ever been so humiliated in my life.
I forgot to mention that 2 weeks prior to this I was shopping as well and all the sales reps was watching me again. I was talking to one of the sales reps who said she was a manager and the phone rang and when she hung up she told me that they told her watch your friend because she's trying to steal. She told me I am not worried about you stealing because you come here all the time and purchase something. She apologized for her coworkers and told me to continue to shop. I told her how can I feel comfortable in here with everyone eyes glued on me. So I proceeded to shop and the little old security guard kept following me. I turned to him and said please stop following me because I don't have to steal. He turned and went the other way. After that I did not go into the store for 2 weeks and when I did go back on October 3rd I got the same treatment. While they was watching me that day I say 2 females take jackets off the rack and a purse and leave with them. While I'm being honest and shopping they are missing the real thieves in the store...so sad!
two rude sales associates in the swim area at penn square mall!!
This incident took place 9/28/2018 @ 11:00 am @ the Dillards Penn Square in Oklahoma City. I tried to return items I had bought on 9/26/2018. The women in the swimsuit area said no because they came from the bridge area 20 feet away. I had already been to that area and had found no one to make the return. I returned to bridge and still found no one. I went back to the same women and one took my items and rudely went to the cash register to return the items while interogating me why I had returned the items. I will not be returning to the Penn Square Diillards when it is easier to order online. I'm sad to say that because I believe we need place to shop in our community.
worker accused us of stealing
I am complaining about an young woman from the Dillard's in Independence MO, zip code is 64057 at the Independece Mall. Me and my friends were dress shopping, we selected our dresses than proceeded to the dressing room and the woman told us "The rooms are full you can't go in there i literally just said they were full" so we said "okay sorry we will wait out here" when a room became available me and my friends went into the dressing room and not long after the woman came storming in saying " you are not allowed to come back here unless i say so, do you understand?" we complied and apologized for coming back into the dressing room without permission, we did not know that was a rule. Than the woman slammed the dressing room door and yelled "If you have a problem we can talk about it though" and we didn't say anything. Just began trying on our dresses, throughout the entire experience we could here her telling everyone that there are 3 girls back there and make sure they don't steal anything. I did not appreciate her rude manner or her accusing us of being thief's, we simply did not know we couldn't go into the dressing room without permission.
employee and manager
I was trying on dresses in the young women's section at your store. The girl who got me the dressing room did proper protocol; knocked, unlocked the door, closed it behind her when she left. I locked the door and began undressing. I removed my bra so I had an idea of what the dress would look like, and my underwear on. A random female employee unlocked my door, NOT KNOCKING, opened the door wide open, looked at me and literally only said "oops". I was at my most vulnerable, had every trust that the employees were simply there to assist. She had zero common sense and entirely humiliated me and made me feel so beyond uncomfortable with those employed at this store. I asked a separate employee in a different section to please get me a manager. The manager came to me, I told her exactly what happened and she said "sounds like she just made a mistake". Then proceeded to ask in the middle or the store "so you had your bra and underwear completely off? Nothing on?" That is entirely inappropriate and irrelevant. Overhearing this, another employee said that was the second time today this had happened. The manager assured me she would go "chat" with the employee. Is that in any way making things right for me? Due to the carelessness of this employee, I am embarrassed, feel violated that someone saw me like that, and in no way feel this was made right by the manager. She gave me no respect and said "well I dont know what you want me to do." Shes a manager. I'm not there to problem solve for her. I demand that this be made right by someone who knows what they are doing. I'm devastated that this happened to not only me, but others. I did not ask this employee her name being too embarrassed, and the managers name was Becky.
dillard
On June 14, 2016 I came to work for Dillards, I came into a business that I knew I'd be with for more than a 1yrs time. I was hired in to the home department with Kevin Cobb, the yr I was with him was the best yr I've ever had, he taught me so much, how to make online orders, to how to figure out the department and mic, to get the group code to finding out a price for a customer. Every customer was happy with Kevin and I was delighted to be his employer. As of March 2018 I was transferred to a different department, sadden to leave, I was moved to becoming the James Avery Specialist, with ASM Ana Nunez (candelario), This was a HUGE transitional changed for myself, and knew it would take some time getting used to. With that being said, here's where things began to change. Employee Sanannah Martinez was transferred with Ana Nunez from the Junior Department, while working as this Specialist for James Avery I started to notice the bond between the two (Savannah and Ana) and other coworkers who no longer work with Dillards, so their names will not be mentioned, Mrs. Nunez and Martinez would take multiple lunch breaks together, make text communications with each other, and best yet, have after work partying together at the local tyler bars. Did I mention Savannah just turned 20 on April 7Th, as the picture shows below, this is the two having drinks together and hanging out, which I didn't think ASM of Dillards were suppose to do. While my "ASM" is not only partying and making friendship with her employees she's also providing under age alcoholic beverages.in regards to all of this, there is more. My name is Leila Loyd and I was terminated as of September 7 due to social media. I was told by Walter Eadie that I was being terminated for social media, expression of how I was feeling, snap chat screen shots of bashing Dillards and employees, As God as my witness, I've never, used "Dillards" name in vein and or employees names on social media, when I asked Walter for the pictures, he said he's not going to argue with myself, that he will cross out the screen shots and snaps and this will be a term, I still can't grasp why?! If screen shotting my. Personal life outside of work and off the clock and away from the company is what my job consist of, then maybe I should have taken the time to screen shot Mrs Nunez and my employees drinking, and partying outside of work and eating lunches together on company time. Not to mention the favoritism with management hiring friends from the outside to work in their department, allowing new hires to work open to close Monday through Sunday, stealing company time and SALES. Having am ASM who repeatedly told you that your worthless to her because we just stand there and do nothing, but as this this being said, has employees that she likes, sit in her office because they didn't feel well that day, or needed to sit down. If I didn't feel like this wasn't an issue, I would address this in my own time or even take the time if I didn't feel I was wrongfully accused of something that, my former asm and employees both acted with as well. I've never been written up with Dillards or ever been a no call no show, but yet, Ana Nunez allowed her employees do so. I was told being a specialist was a good thing, no, I was wrong, it was just a name to pull myself from a department I actually worked in. With all this being said, I am a victim of discrimination, harassment, and wrongfully accused of termination. Emotionally distressed and angry with everything that goes on in tyler Dillards, if I had know that screen shots were suppose to be apart of my job duties at dillards then nobody would be an employer in that Dillards. With deep concerns for a reply, I hope I receive one, and if not, I was continue to further legally actions. Thank you

return/exchange men cologne
I bought a men cologne for my husband on june 16, 2018 for Fathers day and the product is defective because the inside mechanism fell down and my husband can not use it no more so I went to the store for an exchange and a lady told me (Gisel Arreola) that they can not do nothing if I don't have a receipt or the box of the prodict even when I told her that I have my bank statement to proved her that I boight the product! but that's the most ridiculous thing I was so mad about that but never again I am going to buy something at any Dillard's store
company/rules
So, I have a few people I know who worked for Dillard's and/or still work for Dillard's in Clarksville, IN at Greentree Mall who have been fired and who are being fired due to not meeting their sph (sales per hour). I wish more people knew about how Dillard's does their employees just because they do not meet their shp (sales per hour) they fire them. These are people who have families to support that are getting fired or being told since they have not met their sph they are going to be fired. Which leaves these employees to go out and find other jobs in 2 weeks or less.
I hope people get the word out and stop going to Dillard's until they change this. Because if they do not get enough business or have to many workers working how are they suppose to make their sph. I feel bad for the families of Dillard's employees. Dillard's please change this.
your management
I was in your store on July 11 2018 in Jacksonville fl at the avenues mall when the power went out the back up lights came on so I proceeded to go to the restroom to use it and to change my 3 month year old babies diaper before walking to the exit door to the parking garage when one of your empolyes yelled and said I have to leave the store is closing I proceeded to the bath room because I had to use it and change my daughter's diapers he and a security guard then followed me in the restroom and harassed us until we was finished he then proceeded to walk us out of the store. I know he did this because he assumed we was stealing I was treated this way because I am a young black woman my privacy was invaded in the restroom when 2 men came in. I have contacted my attorney and I am planning on filing a law suit for racial discrimination and harassment.
shoe manager at fayetteville, ar
I purchased a pair of shoes today around 430 and noticed around 8:50 pm that evening that I had been given the wrong shoes (wrong size, wrong brand). I had paid for and have the receipt for the correct shoes that I had wanted. I called up to the store and spoke with the associate and he had already heard that there had been a mix up with the shoes. He offered for me to come up to the store and get my shoes but wanted to verify with his manager first. The manager apparently told him no and that they were closed and that I would have to deal with it in the morning. I explained that I was leaving on a flight at 6am the following morning and do not even live within 4 hrs of Fayetteville Dillard's. He explained that there is nothing that he can do. I asked to speak to the manager and after being on hold for approximately 5 minutes, the associate returned to state that the manager would not speak to me. I understand that the associate that sold me the shoes made a mistake and I am ok with that. I am not ok with the fact that there is a store manager that refuses to speak to a customer, especially when her store caused the problem. I've spent thousands of dollars at Dillard's but I will never ever shop at this particular store again.
unethical behavior resulting in a miscarriage
My instore experience was horrible I use to work for Dillards in Biloxi, Mississippi until I
was fired due to my sph. A little info about what happened was a I was
almost five months pregnant and was in a car accident I tried calling in
to work that day but was told I had to come in. I went into work and
experienced a little pain that kinda went away when I was sitting. The
next day I went into work and during the drive started experiencing
horrible pain.I went to the restroom once arriving at work to find out I
was bleeding I asked if I could leave because I needed to get to the
hospital quick I was told no because I was the only one covering the
intire back section of mens.I sat in a chair most of the night until i
felt the need to go the the restroom.I had a miscarriage in Dillards
bathroom that is a sight I will never forget and is something that
haunts me on a daily basis because of that I was u able to keep up with
my sales goal constantly bleeding missing work because I cant get off of
bed due to the pain. Ive tried to get over it but I cant and I refuse to
lay down and accept what happened. Ive been trying to talk to somebody in corporate for so long and have been getting ignored but I'm going to the local news and seeking a lawyer i have nightmares because of it i lost my fiancé as well
rude customer service.
To whom it may concern!
I am sad writing this and loved this store a while back and from a while don't see a management at all here.
The store is beautiful but poor customer experience from Zee who worked at second floor who rang me up but didn't even greet me but in fact she was talking about inappropriate stuff with somebody and didn't notice she was ringing me up. This happened not long ago and this store used to have so many good employees and this associate was proud and rude. I just get the customer service which is pillar of every store and she should be trained way better than just to get my business once and forever. I wish somebody speak to her and make sure she understands that
Thanks A lot
unethical behaviour
While shopping at your store in Ft. Myers, I bought 2 shirts. Then as I was going to the restroom I noticed another one that I had not seen before. I continued to the restroom and when I came out I found the shirt. I was looking around for a dressing room and I saw one at the back of the store. I was alone and no one was around...no shoppers or sales people so I took my bag into the fitting room with me. As I left the fitting room a sharp "Did it work for you?" startled me. I answered that it did and at the register gave her the shirt that I had put back on the hanger, so she could ring it up. She really was not very nice to me, I guess I disappointed her that I was not trying to steal it. After she rung me up, she took off so fast to another area I could not believe it. I understand that as a business you have to be on the alert for shoplifters but there must be a more diplomatic way to address this.
security personal
How this person by the name of Ruben Andrew Silva be a professional security working for this company and taking pictures of customers. I know is not a good thing this customer is doing but don't use your personal social media to do this kind of stuff. How can Dillard's have employees like this guy. Not professional hope you take action of this situation.
dillard’s
I was looking at my phone when my shoes came off. Me and my friends were just goofing around and they took my shoes. I was shuffling to get them and a woman that worked there said " absolutely no running running not no way no and your feet are probably super disgusting and you shouldn't run across the floor barefoot that is so gross like no" I tried to explain that I couldn't find my shoes but she didn't want to hear it. I apologized and she just rolled her eyes and scoffed. I am very angry and will not be shopping there for a long time. I absolutely would not recommend this store. It has very poor customer service and they are very moody. Never talking just ringing you up and saying bye. Truly disappointed.
management
So let me tell you my story of the dillard's in the santa rosa mall in fort walton beach florida. I was shopping at the mall with my girlfriend and we decided to go into dillard since I have not found anything that I liked yet. My girlfriend found a shirt that she really liked so we continued to walk around and look for some more outfits. As we walk around the store her uncle calls and asks if we could give him a ride home from work but the call drops. So we call him again and we start walking back into the mall and next thing you know a mall cop stops us and points at the shirt in my girlfriends hand. We told him it was a misunderstanding and that we completely forgot it was in our hands. So he brings us back into his office with the manager and we try explaining what happened. And this female manager (was unable to get her name) starts filling out paperwork and I told her was happened and she explained they had been watching us (there was not really anybody in the store except employees). So I offered to buy the shirt for the misunderstanding and she tells us we can talk to the sheriff. Finally the sherif comes in and the mall cop and manager start telling the cop multiple stories and he had to reiterate to them if we had walked out of the store. They did confirm we did (and we did by just literally getting to the sensors which surprisingly never went off) and the sherif asked if she was going to press charges. And then she said yes! I was losing my damn mind! Me or my girlfriend would never steal anything. We have too much to jeopardize to get in trouble for stealing, we work for our money we don't just steal things! So we tried explaining to her again that if we wanted to steal that shirt we couldve easily thrown it in our jcpenny bag or even ripped of the tag.in the police report it states we walked around with the shirt in her hand and picked up a phone and started walking towards the entrance back into the mall. So now my girlfriend has been in jail for 3 days over a petit theft charge that she never intended of committing and we don't even know when she's getting out. Now i've paid $130 just to talk to her on the phone. Like this is someone's life you are messing with. My girlfriends grandma called dillard's and spoke to another manager and he stated that she would have never been arrested if he was the one who was there. Humans make mistakes. This act was never on purpose. The other manager stated that the judge more than likely will drop the charge, but that does not excuse the fact that she may lose her job over this. Her face will be on the newspaper like this is just the worst experience i've ever went thru in my life. Especially for my girlfriend, she's the one stuck in an overcrowded jail with spring breakers. This is just completely unfair and inconsiderate of another persons life when it clearly looked like we were just browsing. Not intending to steal anything.
racial profiling
On 4-5-2018 my daughter and I went to go shopping in the lafayette store.
We walked in the kids section to get some items for my grand kids. Haley who works in that department. Was talking about another customer to another customer stating that black people and mexicans only come in the store to steal and scam.. Im very shocked that this lady feels so comfortable talking like this with out fearing a manager will hear. Bold disrespectful tasteless. I will let everyone thats in my church group be aware of her when shopping with kids friends family. People that are not white.. This is not right... I am so upset right now still as I hear her voice and those words..
rude service
I was waiting for a makeover when I arrived first at the edge place in Dillard's. I walked up to a lady who was putting on her makeup and said she would be with me in a moment. 15 minutes later after helping what I'm guessing was one of her friends she finally came and did my makeup. I wasn't exactly happy with what she had done and she told me she "would never do my makeup again" and that she "didn't have time for this crap" and went to do one of her friends faces. The name on her name tag was nakita
credit card replacement
Had issues with swiping my card in the store and sales associate advised to call and get a replacement call. It has been nothing but a nightmare. They locked my account after answering all of the security questions accurately because the doubted my identity based on my voice! I sent in all requested information and yet I was still denied assistance and service saying the information I sent in was unacceptable! I sent in a copy of my bank statement, ID, credit card, utility bill, tax form for my mortgage and they still called me a liar! Saying they still don't believe me and I now have to go into a bank to prove them wrong. I will be closing my account immediately!
holding merchandise for employees
I am a very frequent shopper at Dillards at the McAllen Plaza Mall. I especially go when they have the sales . Have noticed that associates put holds and even upper management hold merchandise for them. Very unprofessional of them. Have noticed Dillards is hiring a lot of young unprofessional people that do not give any type of customer service. Upper management should stop siding with employees
