buyers protection
A new scam being used by eBay is to remove a listing after you have paid then hold on to your money for 8-11 days so the seller can respond. I have had two such cases this week, as the listing is removed the poor buyer is completely sidelined and all you can do is wait in the hope that eBay refunds your money.
Now eBay are clever because as a wronged buyer you can not leave feedback as a warning for other buyers to warn them so eBay can use this scam again and again . With the millions of customers eBay has this would be hundreds of thousands of buyers a week but as the loss of interest to the buyer is possibly only fractions of a penny if this is multiplied around the world this sum will run into millions a week and is any of this declared for tax purposes I doubt it. Once again eBay is demonstrating its lack of morals and decency by ripping everyone off for millions a week.
If you try and tell them that as a contract to supply that is voluntarily entered into and that as a party to this contract once the sale is stopped by them for whatever reason a full refund should be in place for the buyer but this not how eBay see it. If they stop a sale they expect the buyer to go on bended knee to the seller in the hope they will say "its a fair cop I give in have your money" .EBay accepts the add, EBay act as the sellers agent by making the add accessible to all, in the same way a travel agent advertises the notion of a holiday.what you are buying is a promises backed by the reputation of a known name. But the holiday is not being purchased from the travel agent it is purchased from the airline or hotel chain.in exchange the travel agent charges you a commission.if a holiday gets canceled it is the travel agent that has to sort out a refund they are the sellers agents.
But with eBay you are left to your own devices, I spent an hour on the phone with ebays customer service and after all that I did not know I still have to start the refund claim not only that but if I dont contact them again within a set time I lose any right to any refund.
The definition of theft is to deprive one of goods or chattel's. eBay steals your interest your time and then just to rub you nose in it they send you a feedback form so you can tell them how good they are.
In cases were for no fault of the buyer a contract is canceled by eBay a full and immediate refund should be given.
huge disappointment!
I have ordered two long pink wigs from a seller on eBay and instead of long I received two short pink wigs. Not only they were short but the color was also not the same as picture. I contacted the seller and asked for an exchange but he refused and stopped answering my messages. Then I tried to get some help directly from eBay customer service but they said that I need to deal with the seller on my own. So they clearly showed that they don't really care about their users. I'm very disappointed with eBay!
fraud service by selling wrong product and no response
I have ordered LCD for Asus Zenphone 4(PaisaPay ID : [protected]) mobile which cost Rs.1295 and what i have received is something very smaller(Not sure if it is for Asus phone) See attached images on my broken screen mobile and what i have received. Contacted Ebay customer service for 5-6 times and no response till now. The Claim ID : 1935180 which is logged to complaint at ebay and still no response from no one, when contacting customer care they say that their claims will contact in 24 hours and no show and again i end up contacting and same answers. It is almost 7 days and i have spent Rs.200 for contacting customer service itself. Please help me to get my money back. It is only with one particular seller who indeed cheats like this. Seller id/:mariya-traders from Kalyan, MH, India. Please help to get this issue resolved.

no seller protection! don't sell anything here!
I decided to sell some books and wanted to use Facebook or some other social networks, but then a friend of mine told me about Half website. My friend purchased some books there and was very satisfied. Well, this place is good for buyers, but it's definitely a complete nightmare for sellers. I sold a book and later received a message from the customer that the book I sold him was in a terrible condition. I asked him to provide photos but he refused and said that he'll report me. I did not receive anything and Half gave him his money back! And the worst part was the guy never returned my book! What a dreadful place for sellers!

violating their own policy of "100% money - back guarantee" and ignoring the "case" info in denial of refund
I purchased a consumable product from which I became ill. I informed the vendor who refused to pay the return shipping. EBay policy on this is:
*If there's a problem with an item, the seller is responsible for paying return shipping costs. (copied & pasted from the eBay website)
The "seller" refused.
I informed the "seller" of eBay's [supposed] policy that, as stated above, he was to pay the shipping (directly quoted from eBay). No reply.
I then emailed eBay, informing them that the "seller" would not issue the REQUIRED return shipping label and I received this email back:
Mar. 31:
Seller offered partial refund
Comments
*Normally only sealed and re-sellable items are returned
Because of this email I threw the [opened] product away
EBay then decided to disregard the "seller"s refusal to pay the return shipping, and their final decision was that I could receive a refund when the seller received the product back.
I called eBay and was turned down from all possible angles when I requested for them to live-up to their obviously phony
"eBay's 100% money-back guarantee"
1) If something is wrong w/the product, return shipping is paid by seller
2) Seller refused to pay return shipping
3) eBay refused to give a refund
dishonest seller
I have purchased a mobile phone from eBay and when it arrived it was not working! I could not even turn it on! I immediately contacted the seller and asked for a replacement and he said ok. So, several weeks passed and nothing arrived, so I contacted the seller again and asked about my phone. He claimed that I have already received it and called me a liar! What? The I contacted eBay customer care and my bank. I hope I'll get my money back. Better stay away from eBay! The site itself is fine, but it is full of dishonest sellers!
seller harassing me over a refund I deserved!
As a favor to all past and present e-buyers, do not purchase
From e-bay. I was a large buyer of their goods thru various sellers
And only experienced few problems despite a huge amount of
Spending on e-bay!. The last seller I dealt with on e-bay was
So awful and harassed me with hostility over a refund i
Deserved!. Amazon sellers have been shipping their
Orders thru amazon. Amazon has no responsibility if an item
Is damaged or needs to be returned!.
Customer service as e-bay is complaining to yourself!
E-bay customer service is totally out-sourced to
Foreign countries!. Why bother employing citizens
From the usa?. E-bay has chosen to"cheap out" and
Hire only foreign countries for nearly aspect that
Relates to e-bay questions, problems or anything
Involving their purchases from buyers or sellers
Experiencing problems with their items!
Try and contact e-bay!
No way!. E-bay wants their customers but totally
Avoids any contact with their own company!
I was cheated from a refund!
I should thank this seller, since I have no desire
To buy on e-bay.!
Use amazon instead!
unprofessional customer service!
I have been buying and selling on eBay for many years and I have 100% perfect feedback. I ordered 3 things from 3 different sellers and none of them ever arrived! I've tried to contact them many times but received no response, so then I asked eBay customer support for help. They said that there was nothing the could do and that I have to manage with it on my own! Absolutely terrible and unprofessional customer service! This is the worst customer experience of any kind that I have ever had to deal with. I feel like I have been stolen from and there is nothing I can do about it.
There should be somewhere that you can open a case against the sellers. I only know this because I was scammed by a buyer with the description of "item not as described". I shipped a brand new car stereo to a guy and he switched it with a box of rocks and sent it back. eBay is forcing me to refund him his money and apparently they are allowing him to keep the stereo. I hope you get your problems resolved.

i'm done with ebay!
After 5 years of buying on Ebay I'm done with this website. I've been hearing terrible stories about eBay and never thought that would happen to me. My last experience was horrible and I had some problems with a very dishonest and rude seller. I purchased some stuff and things I received were horrible and looked nothing like pictures, so I sent everything bank and ended up losing money. Then I left a negative feedback, but the seller contacted customer service and they removed my review! Contacted customer care myself and they protected that thieve! What a joke! I loved eBay and now I feel betrayed. I'm out of here!
thieves!!
I ordered a tablet from eBay, but then I changed my mind and decided to cancel my order. I contacted the seller and asked him my money back. I was told that there will be no refunds, since tablet was already shipped. Absolutely ridiculous lies! I made an order and less that 30 minutes I contacted the seller. Then I asked eBay customer service for help and they refused to do anything! They said that seller was right and I had to think twice before I made an order. These thieves are working together! It is so complicated to cancel the order, worst shopping site ever!
fraud
eBay customer service is absolutely worthless and unprofessional. Companies can make claims against customers. And eBay doesn't care when their members have problems and need help. They never respond, they do absolutely nothing to help! They care only about profits they get on each transaction. There is no chance you ever get your money back, so please avoid this website. I ordered some items and never received anything, when I contacted eBay and asked them for help, they did nothing. I was told to hire a lawyer. Very funny! I'll never order anything from their site again! That was the most horrible online shopping experience ever!
resolution center
Ebay resolution process does not give information on how a determination was made. I ordered a men's dress shirt size 17.5 neck and regular fit.Seller does not offer refunds. Ebay protection plan claims to cover when the item received does not match item description. Item received was a 17.5L, no indication of type of fit. No further description was provided. The trim appeared to be a slim fit. I provided ebay with sizing charts from from Neiman Marcus, Brooks Brothers (both national retailers), Calvin Klien and a generally published mens shirt size chart. All charts for a regular fit were 5-7 inches larger in the waist than the shirt received.
Ebay ruled the shirt delivered was as described and would do nothing. I said regular should mean as is generally used in the clothing industry. I asked what ebay's definition of regular was and was told there was none. I asked if the body of the shirt was 12 inches would this still be considered to meet item delivered was as described and I was told yes.
Ebay indicated I was barred from leaving a seller rating or a notice about how the "Regular" description of the seller is different from the charts used by reputable national retailers and clothing manufactures, so other buyers would know . Other buyers could then specifically ask the rest of the sizing information.
The seller had over 30, 000 ratings with not a single rating below 5 star. No one bats 1000 in 30, 000 at bats, no one. Clearly the rating system, or exclusion thereof, is flawed.
I want ebay to establish clear standards relating to descriptions or apply generally accepted industry standards when determining the validity of disputes. Further, since the disputes under the ebay guarantee if won/granted gets paid out of ebay's bank account, a nonemployee of ebay should decide the appeals. I request to post the sizing difference on feedback of the seller.
ebay refuses appeal of proven switch phone by buyer, sellers beware!
I recently I sold a mint LG G2x T-Mobile smartphone on eBay in which the buyer claimed random shutdown and boot problem eBay to exercise their “Buyer Guarantee” clause. Directing the buyer to return the phone at sells expense, despite no return on the sale.
The return phone was not T-Mobile as sold nor did it have the digital records recorded by T-Mobile, instead it was Videotron (a Canadian phone company). The phone now hard boots in French language and is Canadian Videotron software.
When appealing the unilateral decision made by eBay to accept the return and debit the seller’s account the appeal was denied based on the following reasons: “The Buyer Did Not Admit to Changing the Phone or Software”. EBay customer appeals department claimed statement outweighs the buyer and T-Mobile’s paper and electronic records of the phone.
I was told dismay that a representative from eBay could honestly make this type of argument, ridiculous and blatantly biased.
I’ve been a seller on eBay since 2005, 1245 transactions (700+ sales), 100% positive feedback, and two years considered a power seller. The buyer has 5 transactions.
eBay’s “Buyers Guarantee ” policy has become buyers and unfair to the sellers and it’s time for sellers to take note.
I’ve been an avid supporter and user of eBay since 2005, considered a power seller with 100% positive feedback. Recently (marking the sale as no return, knowing there’s a problem selling phone).
This seller took unauthorized charge of $900
Guys, be very careful if you purchase from Electronicsfrom2006. I have found this store on eBay and bought one item from them. 10 days later I got the email, where this seller confirmed 10 purchases. I immediately checked my account and found the unauthorized charge of $900. I emailed the seller and said to return money back, because I haven’t authorized it. But he of course ignored my message. I want to spread this information.
don't purchase from ebay
Ebay really doesn't care about the consumers or the sellers. Once they get your money they are done. They guarantee money back but it is actually a lie! Once you gave them money you'll never getting it back. I made and order and never received it. I contacted eBay customer care and was told that I just have to wait another few days. Few days passed and still nothing! They also scam you on shipping and handling charges. These people say they have free shipping, but be prepared because they will charge you tax on the postage portion. eBay is a complete scam! I have been charged tax on several transactions that should never have been taxed on the postage part of the purchase. Horrible website, I'm really disappointed.
REALLY? Are you that stup1d? Ebay doesn't sell anything, people sell stuff on Ebay, shaking my head.
ebay is a complete fraud!
Don't use eBay, they will never protect or help you. I bought a cute dolly dress from a seller on eBay but instead of that I received a used bra! I was so extremely disgusted when I opened the package and saw that thing! What's wrong with this site? I cannot even leave a bad review! I contacted eBay customer support and explained the situation, but they closed the case just because they can! They said that it is not their problem. Oh my god, I receive someone's used lingerie! That is so disgusting. Ebay will never help you and they are protecting those scammer sellers. All you can do is report someone. I want my money back!
don't try selling anything!
I make some cool handmade stuff and decided to sell them on eBay. According to their rules, I was able to sell unlimited amount of items for free. I posted many products in one time and did not use any of their payment services. Well, several weeks later I decided to remove all the posts because I did not sell anything. Later my card was charged and I realized that eBay took $25 from me. And since then they charge my card every month! I have not used eBay for months! I even tried to contact them and asked for a refund, but they ignore me! Stay away from this site and don’t try to sell anything! Sellers have no protection against fraud.
do not order from them!
I purchased two dresses from a seller on eBay. The delivery price was almost the same as the price of the clothes. The shipping was actually very expensive, but I really liked the dresses, so I decided to make an order. I ordered back in November and wanted to wear one dress on Christmas and the other one on New Year’s Eve. But I never received my order and heard nothing from eBay! Who runs a company like that? I contacted customer support, but heard only excuses. I doubt that all the good comments about them are from real customers.
