In April I decided to create an Etsy store to sell Printify products with my original designs. My account was banned not long after, without me doing any sales and with only 2 to 3 products announced. I sent a complaint explaining I did not do anything wrong and it was probably a mistake.
I received the following answer attached in the files as "Etsy answer 1".
I then spoke to my friend with prior Etsy experience and he told me the same happened to him and that Etsy is known for closing accounts with no reason when the marketplace is saturated. Then we remembered that right before my account was banned I opened my store on a computer from his house since he was helping me with the designs and that maybe that's why my account got banned out of nowhere. He had been banned before so his wifi was recognizable by Etsy systems, and they banned me as well because I was using the same wifi connection.
I wrote countless emails explaining this, yet I received no answer from Etsy nor a refund for my store (14€) that they said I could ask for. They did not answer. Not even Revolut, which I had used to process the store payment, and that is known for being very helpful with this kind of situation was able to get my 13€ back.
I decided to move on, very frustrated, and some months after I took a leap of faith and decided to try again. I opened another store and invested another 13€ but Etsy got it down as quickly as I finished setting it up.
Again, sent an email explaining the previous situation, the current one and they answered this time, assuming that I was correct and it was a mistake. They also guaranteed they would restore my new store in 20 minutes. I waited until the next day. I was about to write another email asking to also unban my old store or give me a refund on the previous 13€ but I noticed my current one was still not functioning (still banned). Sent an email asking why is taking so long to update which they answered with something along the lines of (no, we take back what we said, actually you're still banned because we decided so). I cannot even express the unprofessionalism behind these company. Not only do they ban people for no reason at all, but their customer service is awful. I never received the now 26€ they owed me back and I was never able to use the stores. My first store was called UrbanThread22 and was created with the email "[protected]@gmail.com". My second one is with the email "[protected]@gmail.com". Above I attached some of the crucial emails between me and Etsy customer services so you can analyse it. Hope you can help. I was hoping I could make some much-needed money with Etsy but it's becoming impossible.
Claimed loss: Two stores were banned for no reason and not even got a refund on them!
Desired outcome: Get my two stores back and functioning with no problems and without getting unfairly banned again. Or at least my 26€.
