I have a reserve on my Etsy business account .

I never received any notice this was happening on my account and I have been with Etsy for almost 2 years. At the time it was put on I had about 40 orders to send. And no access to funds to send items or purchase more stock . My store worked up to receiving a high amount of orders where it was an income for my family especially in these corona virus times here in Australia. My orders kept coming in and I was getting dribs and drabs of $7, $25, $90 that was the most I received. They say it's to make sure the customer is getting orders and to help my business. It's done the complete opposite. I'm now having to refund possibly 36 orders. I have found a lot of forums of how this has affected Etsy businesses. More those who makes more sales. I contacted Etsy twice to explain why it's been placed on my account, they answered one time with no answer but a generic email. This reserve is not protecting business it's protecting Etsy. My store was running great with happy customers.
Desired outcome: Reserve lifted or a in depth reason why my store has a reserve.
Denied insurance claim
We purchased shipping insurance through Shipsurance as we typically do for items we sell and ship via our business. Unfortunately UPS damaged the item (Scott Plasma 6 Frameset) and made it a complete loss. The item was insured for the full purchase amount of $7, 000 and a premium was paid to insure it for that amount via Shipsurance.
Upon submitting the claim, all of the necessary documentation, pictures of the damaged packaging and item, having the receiving party acknowledge the damage, Shipsurance declined to pay out the claim. Shipsurance has an exclusion in their terms and conditions where they exclude claims that have been shipped in "original manufacturer's packaging". Though we have a problem with that exclusion, generally speaking, this item shouldn't fall under that. Their exclusion is easily interpreted (in their opinion, incorrectly) to refer to packaging of an item, not to the shipping box of an item. For example: a cereal box is original packaging, but isn't a box that should be suitable for shipping.
A proper shipping box should not be the reason a claim is denied for any reason. Paritularly for what is written on it. Furthermore, they have arbitrarily allowed certain types of shipping boxes, something they make very hard to find on their website, and isn't listed in their terms & exclusions.
Upon asking for clarification, Shipsurance's explanation for this exclusion is that shipping companies have been known to mistreat certain types of packages based on what the box shows. This seems unacceptable and a conflicting position for a company insuring said shipping companies.
Desired outcome: Shipsurance should honor the claim
Queen and Freddie Mercury signed albums with COA were both fakes
I bought Freddie Mercury, Mr. Bad Guy and News of the World by Queen. I paid over $600 for each. Mine were the only 2 albums with COA and at that price. I had them both authenticated. Both were fake ! I had them mounted for my wall. I want my money back. This person should be banned from selling on Esty and charges filed for fraud. I will file legal papers if this person is not stopped. Etsy should not be selling bad merchandise.

Closing My Seller Account Suddenly Without Notice
I am a new seller and had one product in my shop that was selling very well. It's a digital activity pack, handmade by me, some of it with purchased clipart with an extended commercial license for all that followed all guidelines from the places I purchased it from. I used ABSOLUTELY NO trademarked brands in my activity pack. There are several similar products on ETSY that DO use trademarked brands and should be shut down.
My shop had one legitimate 5 star review, 76 sales in three months, and top marks for communication. The last email I had from Etsy was from "ADAM" at Etsy, that my shop was indeed on the way to Star Seller status. I had one purchase from my husband (my first one) which I did ONLY to test the process to ensure my shop was set up properly and the downloads came through. It was with customer service in mind. I had one customer claim she didn't receive her digital download, and when I called Etsy customer service for how to resend it, the ETSY employee said I could send it to her email directly since ETSY didn't have a way to resend the link. I offered this to the CONFIRMED BUYER but never did it since she never wrote back.
I did use my seller shop to buy commercial clip art from other sellers, but the communication track shows that I asked them about the licenses, gave clear and specific examples for how it would be used, and they agreed in writing I could use it for those purposes. I actually never ended up using the clip art, because I hadn't made that new product yet!
I never received a warning I had done anything wrong. They closed my shop without notice. I tried to log in and found it closed. When I called and wrote to them multiple times, I got no SPECIFIC EXAMPLE to my shop in what way I did something wrong. I got no warning, no chance to appeal (though I wrote back to them and tried to say I didn't violate any house rules or terms that I know of and if I did, it was purely unintentional and please can I speak to a human to understand the issue!) They sent me a "final notice" that they shut my shop permanently and wouldn't communicate again and to not open another shop. I just want to know what the issue was! And if I have money owed to me, I want that too.
I just simply want to know the exact infraction. They never gave me warning, a chance to understand, explain, or even notice that they shut it down. You can't talk to a human. And with similar products still being sold that visibly DO violate their rules, it feels discriminatory to pick my shop over theirs. I just want a specific example of the issue or for them to reopen my shop.
Desired outcome: An explanation with the specific issue that caused my shop to be shut down or reopen of shop.

balloon purchase which burst and your rude staff
I purchased a ballon from you which arrived in a box. I did not open the box until the night before I needed it. Luckily my daughter was available to help as I would not have had a clue about accessing the code to get the instructions on how to assemble it. However, my daughter was very careful with trying to put the ballon together, but unfortunately it burst. The instruction video was not very good and the music is enough to drive you mad. I had to rush out and buy another balloon at 7pm at night and spent another £18 buying an alternative balloon.
There was not a spare balloon in the box, as your operative said there was. I sent a complaint into you and was very shocked to be told that if a give you a fair review you would refund me half the money the balloon was. I told the operative that I would not be blackmailed into giving you a fair review as I was not happy. I was then called 'dear' by your operative and was told it wasn't your companies fault the balloon burst!
My concern is, if you are blackmailing people into giving you a 'fair' review, just to get half your money back, your reviews are false. Also it you were that confident you wouldn't try to blackmail people. I am already out of pocket and very upset at the rudeness of your operative, let alone having to source another balloon. I told the operative that I wanted to talk to a Manager, she told me to write my complaint on the same forum and it would be looked at the next day. The operatives final message was to rerturn the balloon which no doubt I would have to pay for postage.
I await your reply. Unfortunately not everyone is computer savvy and I do not know how to attach photos, but I can assure you I am not lying. I would also suggest you retrain your staff as to what 'customer service is'!

Quiltcomfort failed to deliver product but took my money
I have ordered jellyroll fabrics from Quilt Comfort/Burnique Brands. Order was confirmed on August 28th and my bank account reduced on the same day. I received a notice that the package was delivered on 9-7-21, however there was no product delivered. I spoke with the USPS who said that they would look into it. It is now 9-22-21 and I have not product or refund. I have communicated with QuiltComfort 6 times with emails. And nothing has happened. I cannot afford to lose $47.70. Please help me.

Abusing sellers
Etsy is a horrible company. They are a group of liars and hypocrites. They treat sellers like flies to swat away. No respect. No basic human right. No human to human communication whatsoever. Please don't sell or buy on Etsy! Even if you abide by Etsy's rules, which they break their own by discretely letting all the illegal "manufactured' items to sell, if someone reports you wrongfully, you can't defend yourself. You are executed without a trial. Your shop is shut down, your listings and all the sales data are stripped away . Don't waste your time and energy on Etsy.

payouts and missing funds
Esty is robbing my right to my face. i set up listing for promotions and this is their reason why there not paying me. this past month i sold close to $500 in merch and i havent received 1 penny they have me in the negative. vie messaged them over a month ago and i still have no response on that their investigation the issue and will get back to me. well its been over a month and i havent heard anything from them. ive been reaching out every week and still nothing from them. ive also had several items removed from my shop but i see thousands of similar items that are allowed to be sold. I'm confused with this. I've also got harassed by a customer and etsy refuses to remove the negative review even after the buyer lied and stated i sent her a pair of worn shoes, everything was a life and the case was closed in my favor with all the proof i have the review remains there. going back to the main point Etsy is stealing/ robbing me and i WANT MY MONEY!
This is interesting. I think they may have not paid me fully either. I just got closed for no reason. But I had calculated a few hundred dollars in sales, in total, and while some of it was taken out for ads, they didn't pay me out fully. Like at all. But then they shut me down so I am sure I will never see the money!
Seller Protection Policy Not being honored
Etsy supposedly has a seller protection policy.
Per the Etsy Seller Protection Policy, Etsy will not hold sellers responsible for shipping delays or errors. However, in order for a seller to be eligible for this protection, we need to see valid proof of shipping that shows the item was sent to the address listed on the Etsy receipt.
In 2 separate cases plant orders were delayed to either USPS or customs. In both of these cases etsy failed to honor their own stated policy.

changing from manual to automatic renewal
I have ask for a reason that the items are automatically renewed when they were put on manual. I never got an explanation. I have wasted precious business hours rechecking all of my items and if Etsy really wants to help it's vendors they should be more responsible in what their people are doing to acccounts.

I had been running a shop on ETSY years without any trouble or whatsoever. One day ETSY deactivated my account without absolutely no explanation given. When I attempted to contact them why I got banned, they just sent a templated based message (see the attached image) and did not provide specific reasons why. Although their response was very vague and any of their points do not fit in what I had been doing on ETSY, I tried to explain that any of the points that they made do not apply on my shop. They did not have ears to listen and finalise their decision and shut me out.

my items are all handmade. They did not explain why they thought it was not handmade at all. Their claim is absolutely wrong.
2. Shop violates Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy}
all my designs are inspired by Japanese historical elements which aren't intellectual properties. I did not copy someone's design nor brand. They did not explain what item or what part of item violated their "Etsy's Intellectual Property Policy".
3. Items violate our Prohibited Items Policy
I was selling silver/brass ring just like other ETSY sellers on the site. Their claim is 100% wrong.
4. The information provided about the account owner and/or their personal details are inconsistent, incorrect, or closely associated with an account previously removed from Etsy
My physical shop is located in Japan and I currently live in Bangkok and a working space in Bangkok which is considered to be a branch of the shop. Because I have other business reasons to be here, I sometimes ship the order from Thailand, not from Japan. I've described that the shop is in Japan and the design studio is in Bangkok clearly and also written on my website or social media that's linked to my ETSY shop page.
I explained these facts over again and again to ETSY but all they responds were the same templated messages(attached screenshot) which shows they did not carefully investigated nor read my message AT ALL.
What they did really wrong the most is, they did not even give a notice if anything they think I need to fix, nor give a chance to rectify if that was necessary. Instead they just shut me down one-sidedly and gave me no further responses. This is clearly a discrimination. Even if they claim their own rules on their T&C or any policies that they made up, they are not the law and they need to show respect to their customers. I assume you get this kind of complaint to ETSY from many other users. Please do something about their ignorant practices.

It happened to my shop too. My shop was doing well without receiving any complaints from buyers before being shut down suddenly without notice. I had to speculate I was falsely reported by other shops or users. I've been reporting glaring counterfeit and "not vintage" listings, and guess what? They are still up. Etsy clearly is discriminating sellers, or they are an evil tyrant to be swept off the earth.

I ordered on June 18, 2021 the item above... a dark brown hand painted elephant base with a glass top. It seller is Souraya S. The confirmation number is [protected]. The price was $248.18. I was told that the item would be delivered between July 2-7 and it was. I do not know the exact date it was delivered. But, It was unpacked and I found the paint job not satisfactory and on July 17, I e-mailed the seller at DONKEYHOLLA ([protected]) of my dissatisfaction and my need to return the item.. She respond and e-mail me an address that I can send it to. On July 23 UPS picked up the very heavy items, took them to his store and the items were shipped to the address provided for the total of $76.09. On Aug 11, I e-mailed Souraya inquiring when I might expect a refund and have not received an answer. I have a tracking confirmation that it was delivered at the front door on July 28 at 2:04 pm. I have not been able to communicate with the seller not even through Etsy Official company site. My account for Etsy doesn't show the item as a purchase. I can't connect with the seller through recent purchases. I would like for Etsy to help with resolving this matter, my refund.

I had PERFECT reviews. All items are handmade. I went to log onto my account to get a notice that said, " account not active." I emailed Etsy, for them to tell me they went legally required to disclosed why my account was deactivated. Then I was banned. This happened today on: August 26th 2021. I then made a request chat to ask about my $50.00 balance. Three Etsy customer services representative left the chat and I then got banned on Instagram. I'd love Etsy to get sued.

Incident Description - I had a etsy shop that was opened in the year 2020 and was on vaccation mode since october 2020 as I met with an accident and I was not fit to work.
Last month (July 2020), I tried to login to my etsy account and I found that the account was in suspended state. So I contacted etsy to revoke my suspended account as I am now fit to continue with my work and the account was activated within 2 weeks after communication with etsy.
Now, I started to work day n night to prepare my listings and uploading the same in my shop. I purchased a used laptop from one of my friend and logged in on 18th August as usual and tried to link my etsy account with social media sites in order to reach more audience as my etsy fee was more than my earnings (Only 4 sale), but I was really working hard on this.
I am sure I have not violated any house rule or any T&C as stated by etsy, beacuse I have gone through each line of the rules and I am even aware the Etsy has written to properly capitalise the word "Etsy", wherever needs to be mentioned.
And on 20th August, when I am trying to login to my etsy account, it says account has been deactivated without notice, mail or complaint. Now all my hard work has become waste that was doing since a month. Motivation has gone underground beneath the foot. Everything has became still as I am not even aware what has happened.
I want Etsy to reopen my store and let me work as I was doing without concerns or must refund the previous bill paid along with the resent listing and ads charges along with a months compensation. Its very fair. Etsy can also let me know if any rule is broke from my side.
Also, I had 5 star rating and review along with excellent customer service, I will be sharing the same in the attachment.
What I can say from my experience with Etsy is "PATHETIC". Etsy doesn't deserve to be a marketplace and especially for designers, because it takes lots of time to create a design that buyers will like. And all of sudden Etsy will deactivate your account just 18 min after a successful browsing session and that too no mails or conversation, no complaints or anything.
Not only this, now the system I am using to login Etsy cannot be used to open further accounts with the same computer. Why so?
You are a marketplace for designers, you are a platform but you do behave like you are listing your products of your hard work and we are just earning from your hard work.
Etsy is not at all a safe place to stay, Etsy does whatever it likes just in the name of house rules and Etsy rules. Whenever tried to enquire issue, it simply replies with automated mail and never provide any reason for the happenings.
Desired outcome: Etsy should reopen my shop or pay a month compensation along with bills paid to the shop.

Some days ago my Etsy account was suspended and I was given no warning or explanation for this decision. I was due to receive an email providing info that never has arrived (and yes, I looked in spam too).
I had to write to Etsy asking for information about this obscure suspension and means to solve it but the answer I was given was far from adequate. I was told they cannot provide me the reason for the suspension due to security reasons. Ironically I am asked to send a copy of my ID card and prof that I am the proprietor of my credit cards in a platform whose login requires that I write the number of the problematic order.
Desired outcome: I demand an effective solution for this and I’d like that Etsy improve the ethics and transparency of their costumer services.

Double Billing my bank account and horrid customer service
I tried to do a refund 1.5 weeks ago and Etsy charged my bank account 5 x for the ONE refund I was trying to do which put my bank account in debit. The total charges were over $400. Nobody ever got back to me about it but luckily after a whole week my bank rejected the pending charges. Now, I have gone to refund that same order again plus another order and have received 4 charges in my bank account. One charge from Etsy, one from Etsy Ireland. I spoke to the customer service on chat and they were (again) horrendous. "yep we cant see the charges you are talking about (I SENT SCREEN SHOTS BTW) and we will forward this onto another team who will email you" Nobody emailed me from the first case so im not expecting an email for this second time either. Plus after they said that on chat they then were like "Ok I have sent that, you'll hear from someone" and then they END the chat without even letting me respond and im sitting there dumbfounded with a bank account in debit because Etsy is being an [censored]. Fix your banking issues and credit me for the amount of charges the bank charges ME for being overdrawn because of YOUR mistake. This is technically FRAUD

Seller - Account suspended - Never received frozen funds
After our dog apparel and accessories shop was suspended with no warning for "breaking etsy rules and regulations" we were told the funds in the account would be frozen to adhere to any cases filed while we were suspended. We accepted this outcome and waited for the funds to arrive. We were later told a date the funds would arrive. July 12th 2021, when this did not occur we followed up and they then told us July 26th 2021 in the same copy and paste email as before. We have evidence of all of this. It is now August 2021 with nothing arrived and further emails have been completely ignored by the Etsy Integrity Team.
Its a disgraceful company with absurd customer service.

As a fairly new Etsy seller i am terribly concerned about this reserve policy of holding funds i have earned for items customers received and have given 100% 5 star reviews.
They pay no interest on my funds that they are holding which i am wondering the legality of. I am also wondering if Etsy is having serious financial trouble and is using seller earnings to float their business. I’m not saying they are having financial issues, but such unfair and damaging (to sellers) business practices beg the question. Why else would Etsy unilaterally enact such a harmful and drastic policy?
