So I came back a gain at ten am I find the store still shot down close.. So I came back a hour later so after I spoke to casher she say no she can't change it she call her rude manager with attitude.. Make me look like unwanted.. Even with my issue to discussing with her so.. I felt like am dealing with ur manager there like scaming me of my money... End up calling the police for them... Nothing they can do refer me to call ur office... And you can check the camera. As evidence... Camera don't lie like your employee.. I felt like dealing with criminal. Swear the way they handle them self. And own appts complecs next to ur store... Any way. I want to get ahold of the owner and the district manager for that store... It's not the $20 it's the principal of how they handle it... It's sad.. I know they lost my business for ever.

To whom it may concern:
My name is Tomika Curgil and I am writing this letter to inform you of an incident that occurred at a nearby Family Dollar, 7200 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33150. I am very disappointed in the services that were provided and I just wanted to share my experience with you.
My son, his father, and I were shopping at Family Dollar on August 24, 2018 when the security guard snatched my son's jacket hood off of his head. He did not ask my son to remove the hood before physically removing it, nor are there any signs in the store stating that customers are not allowed to wear a hood. I find it very disrespectful that he felt he had the authority to do so. I am assuming that the security guard thought that my son was in the store alone, but the fact that both of his parents were present makes the situation worse. Not only could he have asked my son to remove the hood without using force, he could have also approached either of his parents before touching him. Off of natural instinct, my son became defensive and upset and told me what happened. I approached the security guard to ask his logic and he was very confrontational.
The entire Family Dollar staff got involved and the situation escalated unnecessarily. The manager of the store did not find fault in the fact the security just pulled the hood of my son's head without asking and told us to leave the store. We were not able to purchase the items that we initially came in for. I have already filed a police report addressing the situation and felt it best to make you aware of my experience. I will be seeking legal action if necessary.
For further questions, comments, and concerns feel free to contact me via email or at [protected].
Thank you for your time,
Tomika Curgil
store complaint
Purchased products which is marked $4.00 rings up $4.50. I had a $1.00 coupon so the cashier said that it he marks it down to to $4.00 which is listed as the price on the box I would not be able to use my coupon. Which is crazy! Then tries to insult me and say what do you want me to give you $.50! Bad service!
I've been going to this dollar store since 1999 and can't seem to understand the change in staff!
Store# 11786 giving me fake money and refused to exchange it right away. Saying it good money... cashier n manager ccaming me
I was shorted 5 dollars
I was shorted 5 dollars upon receiving my change after purchasing 7 items for 24.20 I received 70.80 I went back to the store location the to retrieve my funds for the cashier whom tendered my total out who was no longer there I waited for the store manager who clearly stated to me that her name was naty and not Natalie what her name tag read to complete two transactions after that she counted the draw down then called the employee unsure of The conversation but then stated to me that there was nothing there and insisted on calling the police on me after I refunded the items trying to get her to c that even with my change and refund I only had 95$ when I started with a one hundred dollar bill
You should've counted your money before leaving the store.
the store itself
I visit this location often because its close to my house and the prices are reasonable and you can purchase certain items in bulk, but every time I've been in this store for the last 3 months they're no stock on half the shelves but they are carts sitting in every isle and the isles aren't that wide to begin with and then if someone else wants to walk by on the same one, forget it. When you get up to the register the line will be wrapped around into the store and very seldom do you find both cashiers up there and if you do get lucky then one is saying oh no, I'm just taking cards and you going to have to get in the other for cash. The counters are stacked with stuff that they don't or won't put up. I have ask for a certain brand of cigarettes that I know the store carries, only to be told no we don't have them and don't ask maybe if they could get the person who orders to please see if they could get some, they look at you like you crazy. The people which is usually and a girl on week-ends supposedly stocking are always standing laughing and talking. The store is dirty.

Subject: Re: Thank you, Jenell Sweeney
Goo0d afternoon, I recently sent an email to Family Dollar about a recent shopping trip in which I was degraded, basically ripped off and humiilated in front of other5 customers. ive been cheated 3 or 4 times out of my Smart Coupons probably totaling $40 to $60. The store clerk has the customer service skills of a child not getting his way. I am a loyal or maybe it should be was a loyal customer at Family Dollar in Tucson Az. I shop there at least 3 to 4 times a week spending anywhere from $40 to upwards of $100. As a customer I feel very unheard and totally unappreciated. I thought I would have heard from Family Dollar by now with at least the decency of an apology. sorry if I am out of line however I dont feel customers as loyal and spend as much as I do in your stores should be treated the way I was. Maybe I was wrong and Family Dollar could care less about how their employees vtre3at the customers. I am extremely disatisfied and unhappy with the lack of concern on the part of Family Dollar. Shopping there again that is something I am still not sure of. Thank u for reading my previous letter and showing absolutley no concern at all. Im begining to feel that the customer feedback is just as "good and skilled" as their customer service. I sent a letter prior to this one from my same [protected]@gmail.com address. it was to be sent to customer feedback yet I have hear5d nothing. I would greatly appreciate this matter being looked into
Respectfully but very unhappy, Jenell Sweeney loyal customer for many years.
breyer ice cream and other ice creams
I was shopping for ice cream at Family Dollar located at 601 SW 14th Avenue Homestead Florida Store #10782, I have been there several times and have made t bad choice bring ice cream soft. Then getting it home and it will not get hard enough to enjoy. Today I experienced the same thing this time I was informed that the price percent off regular price. This product is not safe to sell. They just need to fix the freezer or do not sell frozen products. Very disappointed with Family Dollar.
rude and disrespectful associate
I was shopping at the Oxford, MS store and the worker named Tim was very rude and disrespectful. He didn't know how to take 75% off of sale items and insisted that I paid full price. He argued with me about prices and said its not your stores policy to honor the prices that are clearly marked in a basket for 75% off. When I spoke to another worker she told him I was right but he continued to yell at me and wanted to argue. He said he was a premed major and he's not dumb. After I left his checkout and went to another line he followed me. The other worker repeated his name several times and told him to be quiet. He walked towards me aggressively and I thought I would have to defend myself against a male worker in your store. He said to make sure I got his name right when I reported him to corporate. His name is Tim. I haven't been in your store since the incident and will not as long as you employ people like that.
Products were probably in the wrong spot. Customers tend to put stuff anywhere when they change their mind about buying. I agree with Tim.
the manager racial rudeness
I am a loyal customer who was racially insulted by the manager. I am pregnant so when I went to look through the CDs that they had hidden away in the corner I got down on my knees. When I proceeded to get up and fix my sweatpants that I had on the manager wants to come behind me and tell me do not come back in here store. I asked her why and she said because she just see me put a CD in my sweatpants. I proceeded to show her that I didn't have anything there but she didn't want to hear it she didn't even try to check to see if the facts were true which they were. She just continue to be rude and tell me to get out the store. I'm a loyal customer that shops there all the time. but I feel like just cuz I had my rag on my head and I'm black she wants to assume that I stole something out her store. I feel like I should not be accused or assume that I stole something just because of my color.
It what's the Family Dollar in Raceland store # 1507 on 4560 Highway 1
non employees hanging outside of store
While I enjoy shopping at FD, I find it annoying that people can hardly enter or exit the store without beggers hanging around asking for money. Managers of the store I go to, should see that it is not done. A kinda thrift store on the other end of the building, do not allow this to happen. He does not tollerate them hanging around his store. Not only that, complete strangers come and stand at the reggister while you are paying for merchandise. The managers there before did not allow this to happen. This manager allow a woman who irritates people, hang aroung and curse people and follow them to their cars until they give her money or not. The police have been called on her several times, but shes still there annoying people. This is the only store I see this happening to. No one else tolerates such conduct. Its a shame we cant shop peaceably and have to put up with such management.
associate behavior
I was shopping at family dollar on Saturday 9/15/2018 store #5580 Brusly, LA. I came in with my grandkids to pick up a few items. My grandson started bouncing a ball and I asked him to stop. The associate heard the ball bounce and yelled from the register (stop bouncing that ball). I was so embarrassed. As I went up with my things to purchase I told him he could have handled that differently. He then came from behind the counter in an aggressive manner stating that I was the adult and I should have told my grandson to stop. I responded saying I did but you couldn't hear me from the back of the store. Again he started screaming at me and said that I should get out of his store and never come back. Sir or Madam I'm shopping this store at least 3 times a week and I've never experienced anything like this. I'm afraid to come back into your store as long as this gentleman is working there. I live in a peaceful community and I'm surprised that people like this is working in your store. I would love for someone to contact me.
The employee thought he was doing his job. You should've had more control of your grandson.
manager matt at redmond, oregon store
I was at the Redmond, Oregon Store September 14th, 2018. It was 2 long lines at the register (happens frequently) where people are lined up down the aisle ways. Matt the manger (I think that is what is badge said) opened a 3rd line and took all the people at the end of the lines that had just got there. Then more people came up to his line, long story short, another lady behind me and I were in the same line for about 8 minutes, the store and lines were now empty. Matt came up to our line to talk to our cashier. I told him "you are supposed to take those waiting the longest, not the people who just got in line, all of the 20 people behind us are all gone and we are still here". He gave me attitude, said he "just took people in line to help out". He was curt, defensive and unprofessional, in other words, he didn't care at all and certainly was not receptive to my comment. I think he needs more training in proper store procedure and customer service. If it was my store, I would want to know.
Gretta, Customer Relations Representative: Response to your e-mail letter that lacks any corrective action or any resolution.
Your response sounds like something you have stored away so you can respond without getting involved with the issue. This is extremely disappointing that you (CVS) believe this is acceptable. It’s NOT! Apparently, you do not value me as a customer as a result of your generalized statement that you provided.
(1) Did you read my complaint and understand that this CVS Store located in Dunkirk, MD did not provide the service that should have been expected?
(2) Did you understand that this store ran out of the medication I needed when they informed me that they only had 62 pills left because their supplier had not kept up with the orders requested, resulting in the shortage?
(3) Did you even take the time to investigate what I complained about, instead using a form letter to respond back to me?
(4) Did you read where the pharmacist was not helpful and talked to my wife in a very unprofessional tone?
(5) Do you care that the aforementioned pharmacist responded that I should not have picked up the 62 pills – which demonstrated her lack of care for my medical situation?
(6) Do you understand that I was out of this drug – which is extremely addicting and can cause hallucinations among other withdrawal conditions?
(7) Additionally, why should I have to pay an additional $15.00 for a prescription that was incomplete due to a supply problem within your organization?
(8) The order was for 90 pills, the store only had 62 which was 28 pills short of filling my doctor’s prescription amount and because that store was short, I have to pay extra for their mismanagement or from the supplier problems – Why?
I was told that they were having a problem with their supplier and were in the process of finding another supplier and I wouldn’t have to pay anything extra, but I would have to wait until I was getting close to running out and at that time, I could get the remainder of the pills. The reason I had to wait had to do with the drug being a narcotic.
Your organization screws up or runs into a problem and wants me to pay for that screw up! Furthermore, the pharmacist involved has a problem dealing with any issue that arises
from our personal experience with her. She is adamant, unfeeling, has a reputation of speaking to your customers with a tone that is condescending and a disgrace to your standards promoted by the CVS organization. I know of other people that have expressed the same complaint about this pharmacist, with one going to a different supplier to get her prescriptions filled. And, I’m thinking very seriously about finding a different supplier as well, which includes many other products we have purchased other than our prescriptions from that store. I realize that we are only two customers and that won’t make any dent in your overall profit margin. But, treating your customers in the manner I expressed will inevitably chase away others. I am not done with this complaint unless a reasonable resolution is reached. I really don’t care about the extra $15.00 charge, it’s the principle, the lie, and the rude treatment from your pharmacist that matters to me. One final note, the pharmacist (Kay), discontinued the call and never responded with the obligatory “Thank You.” I think – according to her tone – she has the false impression that I am some sort of a drug addict. I’m NOT! She needs to stop being disrespectful. I heard about the number of excessive hours pharmacists are working, however, taking it out on customers isn’t conducive with good practices encouraged from the CVS organization.
Thank You,
Rob Delaney

Subject: Incident (S-6809552) - Hello from CVS Customer Relations
Dear Mr. Delaney,
Thank you for taking the time to contact CVS Pharmacy.
I apologize for your recent experience with the availability of the medication at your local pharmacy. We have very high standards for service and having adequate stock on hand is essential.
As far as the availability of the medication, the amount each pharmacy can order is federally regulated, allowing only a set amount to be available at each location. The pharmacy team is not able to discuss the inventory of these medications due to loss prevention purposes and therefore unable to call other pharmacies in the area to locate the medication on your behalf.
I understand your frustration and concerns regarding this matter. I have shared your feedback with the leadership team that oversees this pharmacy to ensure your concerns have been addressed promptly.
Thank you again Mr. Delaney, for bringing this matter to our attention. Through your input, we are committed to better serving the needs of our customers. We value your business and look forward to helping you again in the future.
Sincerely,
Gretta
Customer Relations Representative

First come, first serve. You should've went to the 3rd register before the others got there.
clearance sale
This evening at store number 06844, in Thomasville, NC, I was very excited about the great sale they were advertising. They had a big red tag banner outside the store, and one whole aisle with signs every few inches saying 75 % off red tag items. I selected a bunch of red tagged items and when I got to the counter I was told none of it was on sale, the only 75% off items have to end in a 9. Almost nothing on the aisle ended in a 9. I asked to speak to the manager and a lady said I am the manager then walked outside and refused to talk with me. I was embarrassed and had to put back all of my items. I snapped a couple of pics of the sign. No where does it specify that it had to end in a 9. The cashier was not nearly as rude as the manager, she was very rude and just walked out, refusing to answer our questions about their signs. I go to this store at least once or twice a week and never had such a bad experience.
customer service
The last time I bothered with this cramped place at 113 E. Jefferson Blvd. at Dallas, I was attacked by a homeless vagrant loitering at their door. I entered trying to fend off the attacker asking for help from employees inside since I was a paying customer and under attack. None of the cashiers, including the supervisor, even looked at me as I was fearing for my life. As a matter of fact, said supervisor stated for me to "take it outside." While I was waiting for police to arrive while said dangerous person was stalking outside, I confronted the supervisor who told me I better go on or SHE would call police on me instead. This is not a place for anyone to visit, especially paying customers since their well being is looked down upon by said employees. I will never come back here.
The employees probably didn't want to be attacked themselves.
ANd yet they want to attack customers? DOn't make me laugh.
customer service
Okay so I went into the Family Dollar on Jimmy Carter and Singleton and there was no cashier in the front there were two people waiting in line I had to ring the bell multiple times a young black man on his phone came out the back stood behind the register continue to type his message on the phone I replied I have only have a 15 minute break he looked at the spinach man that was standing in front of me waiting to check out with his items on the counter he looked at the man looked at me and look back at his phone not saying anything I then placed the toothpaste i had on the cooler n started walking out. The dude then looked up n said so u not hurting me.This type of worker is hurting ur company. He was super rude and really needs to be reprimanded for it really. This isnt the first time ive seen him so rude but today it was done to me i know the whole story and can speak on it
unprofessional staff/rude behavior/not polite
Family Dollar 2501 N Congress Avenue, Riviera Beach, FL 33404 (561) - 845-0901
Each time I've shopped here at this location, which is a little over a year.I find female cashiers on their cell phones, while they're ringing up the customer purchases.
Im always going out of my way to speak but there is always a rude attitude given to me.Not to say all of them because there are at least two of the female cashiers that has excellent customer service skills and make our community and visitors feel welcome.A few of the guys are okay. But the female cashiers stay on their phones.
Most of the staff are very rude and not warm.I work with people everyday and I have some difficult people I have to deal with. But this doesn't excuse me to not be professional. The atmosphere the staff here sets a very bad display in this community. We have dozens of families and children that shop here at this location.
There should be some type of disciplinary action taken, and what's sad the leaders of the store is along with the staff with this very disrespectful behavior.Im not being extra but truthful. This is hurting the business and making the consumers very uncomfortable.
I've been more than patient. This is a place of business...
Corporate really need to address it and there is a long line of dedicated people who wants to work and take pride in their jobs.
baking soda/unprofessionalism
Cashiet rejected baking soda as a ebt food item. I requested the manger. Manger violently rejected baking soda as a ebt item. I told manger she was wrong. Manger began yelling get out. I said no. The manger told cashiet to reenter items. Baking soda entered as ebt item. Manger walked away as cashier stood disbelief. No apology for yelling or mistake
This incident happened @ the Greenfield Street location.
because you comment on people's comments with sheer ignorance and judgement. you have no dog in the fight, yet give an ignorant comment knowing exactly ZERO about any one claim. and my claim is absolutely report worthy. i tried to amend and cancel my order 10 minutes after it was made. The company said it was "too late". I hadn't even received email notification that it had been processed and yet they refuse to amend or cancel the order? REALLY? so - i do $180 worth of online ordering and the BEST hammit sports can do is tell me, "thank you - we can do nothing for us. the best YOU can do (since we don't want to extend any form of customer service) is tell YOU to deal with it... wait for it... AFTER the order has been filled and shipped. THEN, if you don't want the shoes that don't fit, you can send it back and we'll refund them after they have been returned. allow 30 days.
are YOU for real?
dear boss is a complete [censored]. just makes comments to make comments.
get a job - loser.
All you illegal aliens need to go back to mexico... we dont want you in our country. you are destroying our economy. build the wall keep wetbacks out. that include all the blacks from nigeria. dont bring your 3rd world country problems here.
Why is it ok for family dollar CEO's, get to have security at a store if their wife works at one, but it is not ok for a husband of a worker allowed to be at the store to make sure nothing happens to his wife! They got to put security tags on everything but not allowed to do anything if someone steals something! They are working basackwards! Family dollar stores only worried about the money and not stopping a robbery or theft!
Family Dollor how it is General Science
I read this complaint about dollar store because I shop there. Curiosity I guess? The customer was defiantly correct to be upset and airing her complaint about a store manager that became belligerent, especially when the customer was right. Right or wrong, there is no excuse for the manager of any store to act that way. Hopefully, the mucky, mucks at that particular chain became aware of this incident, and explained to the individual why he was put in that position and what the job actually involves, even if he does not retain his employment with that company.
As for the responses from the majority, I see a lot of angry people, some of which could probably benefit from the services of a good psychiatric professional.
I think the point was being yelled at. That's uncalled for.. regardless. I have a neighbor that's a EBT abuser. . I get it. My best friend worked all of her life, lost her job at age 52 and refused to go on it, but did out of desperation...she got $45 /month, btw. I get the frustration. But, it doesn't change the fact that customer service sucked. That's not how to handle a situation. If you calm down an READ the original post @emoato, the employee re-scanned and it went through. Baking soda is considered a personal care and cleaning product (as well as vinegar... also no nutritional value), so it's covered. I can't stand the abusers, but to be treated like crap for using what you need on a legit item is ridiculous.
@emoato lives with his elderly mom whose on ss and didn’t work and has food stamps to feed his racist self entitled jobless [censored]
I didn't know baking soda was considered nutritional to qualify as EBT eligible. New one on me.
Maybe you need to learn what baking soda is used for before you comment about nutritional value. Maybe take some time to educate yourself.
return
I purchased some items at Lakeland Florida store # 04225 on 9/9/18. Turns out I didn't need some of the items purchased so I bring them back on 9/12/18 at approximately 9-9:30am with my receipt. I encountered a friendly cashier who stated they weren't authorized to do returns so he went to get his manager. He (unknown name) returned to say his manager was busy so I waited for 15 minutes. The cashier went to get the manager again and came back saying he cannot serve me he is still busy. Turns out the manager was unloading a truck but wouldn't take out a few minutes to give my return in which I figured he was rude about it. What kind of customer service is that? Therefore I didn't receive my refund yet and was told to come back later. Whoever that manager is on 9/12/18 at 9-9:30am does not need to be manager! He is inconsiderate, rude and overlooks the cust homers he is supposed to be serving. What ever happened to providing the utmost quality customer service? Please take care of this issue because your store#04225 is surely looking alot of business. Thank you
If you had a return, wouldn't that make the manager like the customer and you like the store meaning that the manager had customer rights. Turn about is fair play.
store needs pest control, possible new management and boxes piled high
Every time I step foot into this door the only word to describe this place is catastrophic, its dirty, there is boxes piled from floor to ceiling and one can not pass through any one isle, myself and another customer both tripped over boxes walking into the laundry/ pet food aisle. An associate told me they did not carry an item at your store because in order to find that item 4 pallets of laundry soap and cleaning supplies would have needed moved to reach the shelf they were on. I moved these items by myself and found the item that was hidden behind hundreds of pounds pallet. This store needs immediate attention, I can provide pictures through email of this store I have to step foot in. There are rodent traps and roaches crawling everywhere, seen some chewed up flour and other dry goods, but also saw yesterday all food aisles were crossed off by duck tape.
poor and nasty customer service
When entering the store here in Vivian Louisiana. Store number 05746 to be exact. I asked the Manager multiple times about helping me find an item but instead she looked with a nasty attitude as if she didn't hear what I was asking. Every time I enter the store her attitude is nasty and she has poor customer service. She's very rude and something should be done. She has no business being a team leader if she can't treat customers fairly.
