Store # 8794 Galveston Texas. I wanted to purchase a 60 minute airtime card. Customer
pays and receives a pin number on the receipt. When I put the pin # into phone, no airtime was added. Tracfone customer care informed me that I had purchased (airtime
double card) . I asked for a 60 minute airtime card. Went back to store with my receipt.
Manager claimed he could not exchange one for the other. Family dollar does not take returns on electronics. The cash register would not allow return. The monitor said insufficient funds. the dollar amount between $21.00 and $22.00. MANAGER STATED HE WOULD NOT TAKE $20.00 OUT OF HIS POCKET. I INFORMED HIM I HAD TAKEN $21.00 ALREADY. The manager that was the cashier was very rude and using profanity and pointing all in the other employees face. The other employee was very calm and processional she kept her cool and she apologized for her employees behavier. I be in this store maybe 3 times a week and every time I come to this location this manger is always sitting down or on her cell phone. I think the lady name is Benito that was calm and very respectable but the other young lady i really dont know her name. I really not sure if ill be coming back it the other lady is their. The store that i attended was 03149. This is not the first time the manager was being rude I attended last week and she refused to ring up a customer because of her coupons. refusing to honor sales ad 06/28-07/07/2018
07/05/2018 have a sales on Rubbermaid Takealongs, 2/5.00 they ring up 3.00 ea, talked to the manager was told that what was in the ad was on corporate, and that it was up to them (corporate) to fix the register, and I asked did I pick up the wrong ones since the ones I picked up matched the picture could not tell me since they was out of ads and (I didn't know I would have to bring my from home), and that I would have to pay the price that came up and that they would not honor was in the sales ad. I could not believe this, so I left the store. not happy with the service, and lately the smartcoupon is not working and so I stop using it, very disappointed with Family Dollar lately
racial profiling
This happen 7-5-18 at 1 o'clock pm. John who I believe is a manager and another employee who refused to give me her name racially profiled me today. I was in the store address 3205 crill ave palatka Florida 32177 when i was approached by John who said " I have to follow you because you have a jacket on" He also stated "yesterday we caught two people stealing". I instantly felt unwelcome and uncomfortable due to the fact that I was being followed. He stated that everyone that comes in the store wearing a jacket has to be followed. I ask if that was store policy and he stated "no". Being that I'm a young Hispanic male with tattoos I instantly felt I was being racially profiled. I never want to go threw this again. I feel that since it wasn't store policy to follow a person wearing a jacket John as well as the other black female who was working this day were racially profiling me because of the way I look and should be fired immediately.

I was overcharged $11.12 I called and brought sales ad, iPhone with app.
I am disabled and have shopped at that location for 7 years, the manager and associates knew me by first name.
The manager refused to honor the ad my sales app by Family Dollar, she reviewed my
information and offered $2.25 . the reason given was I did not mark the items on the app. When shopping I added several items to my cart.
She was rude and sarcastic in front of customers at the counter. I told her I would bring all items back and she stated that was fine she did not need my $54.14 purchase.
I want the sale price overcharge of $11.12 actually the full $54.14 purchase so I don't have to have any contact with her attuide.

I went to store#06960 located at 455 Dumont Ave. Brooklyn, NY 11212. I visited the store on July 4, 2018. I was purchasing a grill, charcoal, lighter fluid and few other things. I saw that the charcoal was on sale for $5. and when the cashier rang it up, it showed it was $5.95. I showed him that the ad said $5 and he said he doesn't know why it says $5.95 and do I still want it or not. I told him that was a rude comment and asked for the manager. The manager came over (whom name was Max) and I explained about the ad and he himself said he doesn't know why it's ringing up that price. And not one time did he every apologize for the mishap and the cashier. The manager asked me as the cashier did, if I wanted the charcoal or not. I thought that was very rude of the workers. I did purchased the items but 20 minutes later I returned the items. And again the cashier was rude and didn't know to do a return, the manager as well didn't know to do a return. I waited for 25 minutes for a return. I've working retail for over 25 years and this is not how you giving good customer service. I really will not shop there again. It is appalling that you allow someone who clearly hates customers and people to work in your establishment serving people. This behavior is disgusting and uncalled for. This is for store 08824 Louisville KY 40272. 13313 Dixie Hwy. This has been an ongoing thing. This particular employee has cussed in front of customers behind the counter causing a scene, has cussed at customers & employees. She is always disrespectful. I visited store #02174 on July3, 2018 located on Mt. Rose Ave in York, Pa. I walked up to the front door it had no handle and no chimes to signify someone had entered. The front exit door had no handle and no chimes as well. The store was trashed. Stock was partially in the aisles.The stock crew made themselves approachable with their demeanor. I picked up my items.I approached the checkout located at the right side. I see the first customer just standing there.I look up to see the female cashier on her phone. A man was behind her slightly to her right with a cell phone in his hand.The female cashier took the first customer monies picked up her cell and started texting. The customer was made to stand there for about three minutes while the cashier texted.The cashier gave the first customer her receipt with no parting greet and no smile. The second customer was not greeted.The cashier again picked up her cell phone and started texting while the second customer's card was read by the card reader.The cashier again did not give a parting greet, she was not friendly and she did not smile.The customer was unhappy with her transaction by the look on her face. It came to my turn.The cashier picked up her phone read her text and dryly told me my total.The cashier shoved me my change and receipt as if to rush me off. The cashier again picked up her phone and proceeded to text. The team members are only as strong as the management.The behavior displayed while I was in this facility is very unacceptable. The store in federalsburg md needs a major overhall on employees. One we got to look at an employee with F_ _ _ _ Love on her hand next Stacey i guess is a manager well not only did she have custimers waiting she started complaining about how nobody rang the bell so how would she know theres customer an noy only that she puts the work before customers i came in to buy cigarettes right at counter i had to wait for her to finish writing something on a clip board then she stopped staighted up the papers on clip board then walked hung it up an then came back an asked what i need. We stopped Into store #10465 2441 Lincoln Hwy Olympia Fields IL., On 7/3/18 at around 2:00pm. When we approached the cashiers to be rung out, the two of them were already having a personal conversation about an issue. Our cashier seemed to think their conversation was more important than customer service, since we were the ones to greet her. She didn't acknowledge us at all. No response or eye contact from her, just scanning our items. The conversation got a little bit deep between the two, as she even began to use profanity in front of us and even the customers behind us. Then she just handed us the receipt, AGAIN no acknowledgment. We told the two to have a good one. Usually don't do complaints, but I have about ten yrs in customer service, and some things are meant to be left for later...in private.
i'm complaining about my store manager
I've been in the hospital since 5am yesterday morning. I have told my manager Linda that I was here. Everytime I found out something since day one I told her so I wouldnt have nothing hiding. So when I told her I was in the hospital this is the text messenge she sent me back. This call out is not accepted and will be documented as a no call no show. The sales ad dated June 28-July 7, 2018. All liquid laundry detergent 54-58oz. Using my smart coupon the final sale price is $2.95. On Thursday June 28 there was one on the shelf. I puchased it. I wanted more. I ask the store mgr and she said the truck hasn't been unloaded. The shelf is now empty. I ask Friday, I ask Saturday, I ask Sunday and I ask today (Monday). I got the same answer. The truck hasn't been unloaded. I ask if there was any way she could locate 4 on the truck. That's the quantity I need. She said no I would have to wait till the truck is unloaded. I told her the sale was half over and when did she think the truck would be unloaded. She said she didn't know. I ask for Family Dollar Home office phone number she said she didn't know it. I'm going to check one more day and after that Family Dollar will lose my business. If circulate a sales paper and the item should be available for purchase. Not tell the customer 5 days in a row that it's on the truck and she dosent know when the truck will be unloaded. I will be very discouraged from doing business with Family Dollar again. I'm going to delete my smart coupon app on my phone and I'm going to post this message on Facebook. There's no good reason why the customer can't purchase the item if it on location. This store needs some management skills. I will do business somewhere else.

I went to this store to purchase a product and saw the worst customer service I have ever seen. I have been in this store previously and have has =d bad expereince this was the worst . I was in line there were at least 7 ppl in line. 1 cashier, there is another worker bald head, black male he was not wearing a name tag and just standing around. A elderly women said to him he needs some help talking about the cashier and this worker rudely said back to this elderly women "thats what wrong with black people they dont know how to wait" then after being told not only by her and myself, other customers this was rude, people are in line waiting and your standing around he again said louder " thats whats wrong with black people" another customer said you dont want your job, he responded " Im keeping my job " and walked away and left a line full of customers. I asked for a mgr and was told he was out. This is the worst service i have ever seen and i will never go into this store again and will make sure ppl know this is respect and service from Family Dollar. This worker needs to fired immediately and he is the only worker there that looks as i described. I also want a formal apology from the manager of this store. This is disgusting and this worker obviously didnt care and if this is what FD stands for i will not be a customer.

At your store in galveston texas 77550 I attempted to buy a 60 minute add air card. The cards stored behind the counter. As many times before she scans the bar code. Then get a receipt with pin number. Shortly after my purchase I enter the pin number nothing happens. I tried 2 more times I enter the pin number. What she actually scanned was the bar code for a dubbler card. When I buy 60 minutes tracfone adds 60 more minutes. All I would liked o do is return the doubler card. Then purchase 60 minute airtime card. I already have a doubler card on phone. (only one per phone). The manager tried to return the card (not very polite) at this time. The register said insufficient funds for a return. His response was"im not going to cover $20 out of my pocket to cover this.) guess what folks (I am the one that reached into my pocket and put the $20 out there. While at store I purchased Glad bags and the $3.00 Smart coupon was not taken off. I went back into store to make correction but was told had to contact corporate. Once at home realized overcharged for Arm & Hammer carpet fresh as it should have been $1.50 instead of $1.80. I'm a regular Shopper at Family Dollar Store.#00871 in most point, ms. But this Saturday June 30th 2018 the store manager Jim and him embarrassed and humiliated me because on shelf it was a sale for 6.95 at but it rang up $8 I told him the on Shelf had said it was a sale when he got it he said it expired I said well that's what it said I did not know it was expired. It was line of people and he said I'm always starting problems there the next time this happens I'm going to banned you. I don't steal, I don't have confrontation with anyone there the only thing I do is say some thing when im over charges. I'm on a fix income and I set a budget if the price says one thing but it ring up another price don't I suppose to say something. The opening late they close early one time they turn away 4 people because they was closing but it was only 7:50 and the close at 8:00. I Witness the store manager Jim having a consultation with another employee and one was cussing. I visited store # 5077 in Newport, ky. Worst dollar store I was ever in, and I shop in alot of them. The floor was fillthy, there was an employee tring to mop it though. The isles were so trashed you couldn't even get down some of them. Boxes, carts, etc in the way. The shelves were even worse, just everything out of place, looked like ppl would just pick something up then two isle over, throw on shelf. Half of the shelves were empty. . ..

Hello. My name is Paris Stephens. I am writing a letter because I truly hate to see a store that has employees that are trusted with responsibilities of running the business and are paid to do so but absolutely do the very opposite. I am sure there are people that meet the requirements to run a store but they lack the passion and motivation it takes in doing the best you can. There are people like myself that has been on a job and always took pride at my position and made sure I did my very best. I am always never given the opportunity to show my best performance because of my eagerness and willingness to come to a job as a brand new associate and start to do an outstanding job and the lack of performance in others become noticeable. I have Always had a hard time fulfilling my role because truth is people will join in together to prevent another person from doing better. I take a love for people and I love to implement change and innovative ideas to make an change that impacts. I often visit family dollar in my neighborhood just about everyday. I wanted to apply for a position there because I watch employees and how they deal with customers and how they interact with one another. I have always come in to the store and sadly it's a disaster and I wonder how is this possible to have continued on for such a long period of time. I see so many things I would do but I have worked with people just like the people that are employed there., and from my own experience and how they interacted with me I would not be received well because I would want to change and get the store in order and running perfectly and from the looks of it having the eyes that upper management are not able to see I would once again be fighting a lost battle. I have pictures of what the store looked like this morning and I watched to see what efforts were being made to clean up and it was none. From a marketing perspective the way a store looks to the eye of a consumer draws In more sales. This store is not properly staffed. If you hire people it should be people that have a genuine love for people and a passion to do the best performance at their workplace. They should have the will to be on a team and make it happen together. I would like to apply for a position at this location so that I can learn what needs to be done and get the store cleaned up and looking great so that this store in my community can draw in more sales and I have my favorite store looking like it cares about the people that come in and spend their money daily. My community matters to me. The people inside of my community matter to me. Our store should not look like they don't care about the customers. There is a wonder in my city of how does Chik Fila has the best service everyday. Every employee is always present with a great attitude and always polite. They are fast and never have employees who show a lack of concern for their job. I would like to go clean up Family dollar stores and make them look like they should look and remain looking like they should look. This should be considered and not ignored. The way it has been is not working and no matter how many qualified people who gets hired to already do this as a part of their duties. I am writing to complain about the poor customer service I received at Store #00435 5290 Norwood Ave Suite 1 on Sunday July 1, 2018. Upon entering the store the young man sitting behind the cash register was other wise engaged on his cell phone and did not greet me with a friendly smile or a "welcome to family dollar". The items in the store was so unorganized and junky. I found it to be one of the worst shopping experience. Upon check out the young man still did not greet me, only rang my items up, bagged them told me what my total was in a very low uncaring voice. Took my money, gave me change without any kind words or so much as a thank you. I will never shop at this store again or recommend it to anyone I know.

Half an hour ago I bought 7 items and tried to use my debit card. It was rejected -TWICE! I knew I had money in the bank but wanted to give you the benefit of doubt that it was a mistake. I rushed home and of course I had money in the bank--plenty of money! Do you have any idea how embarrassing that was? Is this any way to do business? Well you will not get any more of mine! Obviously the machine is defective or the cashier did not know what she was doing! If this happened to me then I am sure others have been humiliated as well. What has happened to businesses who care about providing good customer service? Dollar Tree being one of them. You need to have your machine checked! Or better train your employees! This is embarrassing to say the least!
