emotional humiliation and mistreatment
I have a a complaint of store located at 28610 S. Dixie Hwy homestead, FL where employee Mercedes insulted me because I asked her to do two separate transaction so that I can use coupons, she refused so I told her I didn't want the merchandise so she began to insult me saying I was a miserable person with no job that had to use coupons to shop and she didn't because she has a job and went on and on insulting me and humiliating me in front of other customers and my two small children and threaten me she was calling the police at which I responded ok go ahead I will stay here and wait for the police to please give me corporate number her name and her supervisor name she claimed her name was Stephanie and that store has no supervisor, then she locked herself in the restroom refused to come out and help another employee whom she left alone with a store full of customers at which point the other employee needed help to do a void for another customer, Mercedes refused to come out and help him, instead gave him her employee number over the phone so that he can do the void himself. I stayed the whole time and waited for the police to come, I found out by the other employee her name was actually Mercedes not Stephanie, she came out of the restroom after 20 to 30 minutes proceeded to call police while she argued with me stated the supervisor to that store is Nancy, I asked her for supervisor number again she refused, I spent over two hours at the store waiting for police while she, argued with me, gave me nasty attitudes and insulted me, I am a single mother of 4 who has 1 autistic child and I am disabled myself and honestly this is not the way to treat customers and not having a supervisor at the store to help with this problem is not acceptable! Before the incident as I was shopping Mercedes was too busy talking on her cellphone to her mother speaking of that tomorrow there was going to be a different manager there because she was quitting and started talking bad about the job and the company in front of customers as they were trying to get her attention to pay for their items. After the police arrived I was handed a piece of paper written by Mercedes with this #6402982 which apparently is the number of the complaint she put in against me of the incident to corporate family dollar and she refused to give me any number so that I could call to voice my complain. This is unacceptable to be insulted and humiliated in front of my children and other customers by an employee of family dollar, if I don't get an answer to this complaint my next step will be to contact all news channels to report the major problem that family dollar is having 1. No manager or superior at store 2. Horrible customer service where employees mistreat customers with disabilities 3. By law another unauthorized employee used employee number to make a void because Mercedes refused to come out and do it, that is against family dollar policies and its grounds for immediate termination of employment, I believe this situation is very serious and merits the immediate termination of employee Mercedes. As per regulations in any company one is supposed to try and cater to customer, be respectful and kind.. This by far has been the worse customer service experience in have encounter I will also look into contacting an attorney for compensation of emotional distress and damaged made to my person from this family dollar employee if I don't receive a call from corporate and have this issue taken care of, no one has the right to cause someone else humiliation in that manner especially if it is a customer/employee dynamic. Yea with this joke of a website I just learned that miserable people that have no life rather go online and "trolled" People as you call it when what they really are is bullies that hide behind a computer screen to try and hurt people emotionally because they are so unhappy with their lives that the only thing that makes them feel better is to go online to try and humiliate other people because they have nothing better to do with their lives wasting their time on this website talking crap but are such corwards they hide behind a computer screen to do it. Yes I was naive to believe this website was legit and serious but now I see is a Joke, a place for miserable people to come and waste their precious time trying to tear other people down instead of doing something productive like feeding the homeless, visiting a nursing home and give people kindness, help them change their lives for the better. Ok I don't know how this happened but some one posted after me that I hit my children and the police took them away and that I mistreated my children THAT IS A LIE! I IN NO WAY MISTREATED, YELLED OR HIT MY CHILDREN AT ALL! my children are here with me and the police agreed with me that the mistreatment we endured was unacceptable, I'm pretty sure someone from family dollar posted those lies!

My husband and I frequent a Family Dollar in our neighborhood in Lubbock, Texas. The store manager, Tamara, and my husband had a falling out this afternoon over a special on Pepsi products. She stated that Big Red is not a Pepsi product first. Then stated that depending on where we lived in Lubbock, depends on wether or not Big Red is a Pepsi product. When she realized what she had said was completely invalid she went on to state that my husband steals from the store, mind you, we are in this particular store at least once a day and if this were true shouldn't she have us trespassed from the store? We have been dealing with Tamara for the last 4 years, more or less, and she has not only treated myself and my husband extremely disrespectful but other customers as well. I have witnessed this myself on several different occasions. I was even told at one point that she has been talked to about her performance and that in order for her to keep her position and not have these types of situations she limits her time at the cash register. Which I have noticed she is never a cashier or even deals with customers unless a complex matter that other team members are not able to deal with arises. I come to you as a customer and ask that something be done. This type of behavior is very troublesome and has been going on far too long. My husband and I work very hard for our money and have never stole in our lives and have actually instilled the same morals with our three boys whom frequent the store with us. This was an extremely embarrassing situation that happened in front of many other customers and now my husband refuses to ever return to this location. I ask that a reply to this complaint be done via telephone and I would greatly appreciate it as well.

4016 Bloomington Ave S Minneapolis, Mn 55407 Location . The Employee named Karen "banned" 2 people from the store because of Outside Personal reasons outside of the store. I been trying to reach out to someone because she was trying to purchase Percocet Pills from us & Never got any and now she has banned us from the store because she never received her product. buying a xbox card then not being able to read the code
When we couldn't read the code on the receipt I was told they couldn't print a new one or even give my money back. I was told if I wanted I could call the corporate office. Which I tried several times and I couldn't get threw. I think you have a very bad policy and that was my grandsons money he had been saving for a card. I received a call from the corporate office and I explained to them about not being able to read the X Box pin and was told they would give me a new code well when the guy came on to give me the number he went so fast there was no way I could write it down. When I said something to him he just said over and over how I had wasted a number. Then he was going to give us a new code he did the same to my son. When I tried calling back he answered the phone and told me it was to [censored]ing bad. I don't care no one has the right to talk to me like that you can keep your PIN number I will never shop in a family dollar again. I went in to store #04210 last night at 9:50 as I walked through the door there was a young lady by the name LaCorsia alone with another lady and a guy. The greeting I received from LaCorisa was I had 3 minutes nothing never said Welcome to the store. As I walked to the back to purchase what I needed the guy yelled out to me Ma'am you need to come to the front and it was 9:54. When I walked to the register I stated to them I thought the store closed at 10pm and LaCorsia said with a attitude it does but we lock the store 5 mins early. So I stated to her that I was a Store Manager and If the store closed at 10pm then it's not fair to the customers to be rushed as I'm spoking to her she throws her had up basic telling me to shut up. Then I asked for Corporate Number and she stated it's on the receipt and I told her no that was the store number. I told her I would google it. We stated exchanges words she cussed me and I cussed her. She told me not to come back in the store and I told her I was fine with that because they were all unprofessional as I walked to my car LaCorsia and her other 2 co workers came to the door and LaCorsia begin to call me B*es and when I told her I would be calling Corp. on her she told me to go ahead and that they wasn't going to do anything to her. I will never visit any of your stores again because the employees are so unprofessional. I was able to record me and her calling each other names and I also stated to her she came to the door talking to me because I have left out of the store and entering my car. I've never been to a store where there was so much goofiness going on non productive work I've never waited so long to be waited on I've never waited so long to be checked out I mean and they're just slobs about it they're just pigs about it they don't even have any professionalism at all they were thankful you were they were irritated by my presence and I don't even ask for nothing I was going to forget something minor but I shop there all the time I will not shop there anymore those fat pigs behind the counter are rude and he's very vocal about his gayness he's a gay person and I just tried to call him on the phone I don't know how many times a handful of times never got an answer because they're so [censored]ing lazy they won't move the fat ones in there they don't even move none of them move their lazy they were taught Lazy Lazy Lazy Lazy I'm so disgusted right now I could puke
customer service
I would like to know who hired these employees at the store on skillen street in Buffalo, Ny #11878. The customer service is horrible at that store. First of all they are playing the loudest rap music and screaming at each other. Friends of employees are running around the store and a child who was probably about 10 years old was behind the register cashing people out. The employees are cussing while cashing customers out. I walked outside and sure enough other customers are complaining. There needs to be training on customer service. I was suppose to be in and out but stood there for over 20 minutes just for them to figure out the price of something and figure out how to get the receipt printer to work. People bring their kids to that store and I'm sure they don't want to deal with having their small children around that nonsense.

I just left from the family dollar, by my house at store on milledgeville rd. #06058. Not only was I hot... My 2 year old daughter kept saying ma it's hot! I am a regular customer... The employees at this store are very friendly and have great customer service... They looked like they we're about to pass out... Even the vendor that was in the store at the time was sweating profusely! Like really family dollar?!?! It is. Tooooooo hot in your store! Your worker's shouldn't have to work in such uncomfortable conditions... And your customer's shouldn't have to shop in it! I hope the problem with this is fixed soon... I am a regular customer and I will be checking to see how long it takes and how much you guys value great customers and excellent worker's. God bless your worker's for working in such hot conditions!
debit card overcharge
I recently checked my debit card statement and i noticed that I was charged $55.41 on 06/19/2018 at 4:35pm. On the 19th I recall purchasing a Hair Brush and Hair grease on my way home from work, which only amounts to 4 or 5 odd dollars. I haven't made any big purchases from Family Dollar to amount to $55.41. I would like this matter looked into and be reimbursed as I haven't purchased anything other than a brush and hair grease.
The catchier charged me $10.00 more then she said she will put it back on my card and charged me $10.70 I am out $21.40 and this stupid [censored] . They don’t know what the hell they are doing. I WANT MY $21.40 back. This happened in #08832 290 Barefoot Blvd Micco. It happen on the 18 of October 2019
store manager
The store manager at store #11111 Chris is his name he is extremely rude, not only to customers but the way he talks to employees. I have never experienced a MANAGER who is supposed to be a leader handle situations the way he handles them. The way he speaks to your customers is horrible, I work for and live in the city that the store is located in and have catered to the store on a regular basis since it has been there but never ever before until maybe 2 months ago encountered poor customer service and never noticed or saw him until then. He is very rude, non courteous and the store looks horrible as well. He should fix his attitude and while doing that put the nasty negative energy in making the store look presentable.
building materials left behind
I have contacted this company several times through their website complaining about the building materials left behind on our church property in Kansas City. When store #11841 was built, the soil erosion stray bales have been left behind on our property and we cannot mow the grass. We will soon be cited by the city for tall weeds because of family Dollar. Evidently they do not care about their neighbors.
They also have a fence that has been knocked down and is on our property.
I wish they hadn't built in our neighborhood.
I didn't want to alert the city about the problem because they would have cited us for the tall weeds. They do not care for excuses like "It's not our fault".
I wrote the company again and got ahold of someone who can and did do something about the problem. The problem has been fixed.

service of a managers
The manager/asst. Manager LuAnn Krahn running your store in tomahawk WI has been taking alot of merchandise out of that store without paying for it. I've personally witnessed this. She will also have her relatives come in and she doesn't charge them for everything, and she'll have them at times take her stuff out of the store. I have worked with Ms Krahn in the past, and have personally witnessed her fraudulent ways of time cards, misappropriation of money, and deposits, she is very rude and mean with coworkers. She has even said how she takes things from the store without paying. And the company is to stupid to catch her. I highly recommend you look into her, and keep a close eye on her. Watch your inventory!
not following return policy
Purchased a prepaid cell phone for $80. When I got home and opened the box the phones screen was broken. I immediately put it back in package. I reviewed the stores return policy and it stand that cell phones would be exchanged. Which was fine with me, I just wanted a working phone that I payed for. I went to the store to exchange the phone and the employee told me I would have to speak with the manager, who was not in at the time. So the worker "face timed" the manager and she said they would not exchange it. I promptly asked for corparspate number or district manager number at which time the manager said I was banned from the store and if I did not leave immediately that she would call the police and have me arrested. This was a very frustrating and embarrassing time. I have heard many complaints from others pertaining to this particular manager. In fact I posted the issue I had on Facebook and the amount of people replying with similar issues and issues of being stalked while shopping and stopped and accused of shoplifting to the point of illegal search of person or personal bag, with no results of any shoplifting.

Started working as sales associate in june 2017 at family dollar at wrightsboro road augusta georgia 30909. Was lucky enough to have a most compassionate and humane manager miss areetha worked very hard and started loving my job always at the beck and call of the manager. Worked up till june 8th 2018 almost one year. All of a sudden miss areetha was not with the family dollar any more. A new manager took over and with no fault of mine terminated me. When i asked the reason she told me that i did not come to work when i was scheduled to whereas i never received the schedule. I am 69 years old making my both ends meet by working for few hours at family dollar but this young arrogant manager ruined my life. May god bless her.

On 06/15/2018, my friend and visited store #05823 in Tobyhanna, PA.. worst experience of my life. nasty, unhelpful employees.. half the items had no prices and the employees don't get up to help.. they stack the shelves in a way where if you pull one thing out, everything else comes toppling out after and falls all over your head, and your feet.. one employee was sprawled out at the end of the aisle sitting taking up so much room, and would not budge, you had to maneuver around her, to try to get around, she would not move for the customers. The cashier snapped at me when I did not realize it was my turn, because she was whispering to the customer in front of me, I told her I had never used the smart coupons before and asked her how, she just seemed angry, arrogant, she had that attitude of, I am better than you and I don't want to be here.. all she had to do was tell me to enter my phone number.. then the manager accused my friend of shoplifting, and when she was completely, utterly 100% wrong, instead of apologizing, she screamed "I LOSE 200$ A DAY" well', maybe if you and your employees did their jobs.. they already have a sign on the door that says 'no duffel bags or backpacks' she then told the cashier, from now on no purses like this, they can leave them at the front with you.. first off, my friend has a normal size woman's purse, and if you ask a woman to trust you with her bag, to go shopping at Family Dollar, you are out of your mind, so if stuff goes missing, too bad for her then? I really think they singled her out because my friend is on the heavy side, and she is on food stamps.. and that is wrong.. if a woman walked in wearing Marc Jacobs and carrying a Louis Vuitton the size of a television, the manager would not have given her a second look, my friend didn't even mind being searched.. it was the lack of respect.. she did it right in the front of the store where everyone could see, and she made sure every inch was checked, she even checked the floor thoroughly to make sure nothing fell.. and then, she couldn't apologize? to scream to a customer about losing 200$? that's her failure, not because of us.. a few of the customers in there that saw it came up to her in the parking lot and she they couldn't believe what they just saw, and how ridiculous it was.. that place is a hazard.. no prices on so much stuff.. my friend had a smart coupon for a Swiffer, once again, no prices on any of them, asked an employee what the price was, her answer was 'i don't know' and walked away. Things falling all over my head, another customer attempted to help me but could not get to me because that employee was still sprawled out on floor, shampoo bottles falling on my feet.. that can actually really hurt someone, i can't even describe how ridiculousy stupid it was stocked..i told my friend, i am sick of things falling on me, and the rudest cashier I have encountered in 20 years, and a nasty manager, who makes a mistake, refuses to suck it up and apologize, and hires these people in the first place.. and the store is a disaster in the first place. Naturally, I did the survey on the receipt and did not hold back, and sadly this is all true, and I also wrote an email to the customer service since you can not talk to an actual person. I remember writing at the end, this can not be the first time you have heard something like this about this location. So it says if you don't hear back within 5 days you won't, naturally I didn't was was upset, so I called, and then I decided to write a Google review, but the ones I read were more interesting.. almost all were one star.. dirty, place smells like urine, filthiest store i have ever been to, nasty employees, these employees walk around like zombies, crappy merchandise and unhelpful mean employees.. how can you be ok with a store having these reviews? thank you

Every time I go in the store 2 girls that work there always have their boyfriends in the store at night for hours. Takes for every for them to go to register to ring you up. It's been going on for weeks. They stand outside and smoke and talk while customers one in the store and they have no ideal what is going on they should be in store helping people.
I will drive to Tell city Indiana instead of using this store unless something is done.

I shop at Family Dollar quite often. The staff in the silver mill mall in Milwaukee is out of control. The managers curse out the customers, they fight the customers, play vulgar music in the store, and just give overall poor service. One of the managers posted a status bragging about how they treat the customers. They are always on the phone while assisting customers at the counter. The store manager proclaimed that he has a "relationship" with corporate and that nothing was going to happen to him. This store seriously needs an overhaul.
Not allowing my 16 year old brother to come in and shop
I came to speak with the manager Ralph about why he is not allowing my little brother to shop and he tells me because another person stole from his store a month ago but when I asked for proof he tells me I seen it with my eyes I am the proof . No I would like to see a video proof of the incident and he tells me there is none . I spend plenty of money in the store the workers in the store know me but I tell my brother to come buy a speaker and they get all in his face yelling at him that he can't be in the store. I am pissed. I will never shop at this store ever again the manager is a [censored]! The. He tells me I'm not arguing with you . Why because you know I'm right ? Family dollar on 13th street in st.cloud Florida.
car was towed within 5 minutes of being in store
Parked car in handicap forgot to put up sticker. My husband, who is 81 years old and sick, just came from the doctors office. He wanted to stop and get a folder to write down his medical records. The car was towed away within minutes of our leaving the car. No sign indicating that it would be towed, maybe if there was a sign it would of reminded me to put up the sticker, told by the tow company that it is in the store. What good is that if you are in the store and find that the car is being towed. It costed us 350 dollars, which is a lot for people on fixed income. Plus, his oxygen was in the car, which he needed he didn't take it with him into the store since it would only be a few minutes. I can say I will never shop at the spring mall every again or a family Dollar store.
