Family Dollar poor groundskeeping

Store #4280: The parking lot and landscape is neglected, there is paper and trash on the grounds, paper cups, plastic bags and other debris in landscape. It seems to me that management does not care about the appearance of the business. I feel that this is unprofessional and makes this business look bad. This is a poor representation of the Family Dollar brand.

Family Dollar customer service

I visited the 5009B Governor Ritchie Hwy location, where i attempted to redeem two 3$ coupons on a merchandise. The cashier did not understand the coupon. The coupon in print says that i could use one or more coupons on any Reckitt Benckiser product. When trying to verify with a manager the two employees conversed in foreign language and without looking at the print on the coupon, the manager told me i could only use one on the product. I asked the manager to read the print because it was an misunderstanding on his end. The manager then started becoming very disrespectful, calling me a [censor] and telling me to get the [censor] out of his store. This embarrasing exchange occurred in front of customers. Some other customers were even recording exchange.
Employees did not have name badge on. Both employees also refused to give me any information for a coporate number. I was also denied purchase of my other items.

Family Dollar employee

Very rude. I wanted to purchase candles that were on clearance. They were ringing up for one cent. I wasn't aware they were only a penny. The original price was a dollar so being on clearance I didn't figure they would be much less either way I wanted them. She said rudely that they were ringing up incorrectly that she wouldn't sell them because that couldn't be the sale price and it was a discontinued item anyway. I asked to speak with a manager, she told me I didn't need to because she knew what she was talking about. Also the last time she was working she cashed me out and was ranting and raving about a previous customer. Saying she isn't a people person. She says this about herself, well it definitely shows! I will not shop if she is working. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Family Dollar coupons from coupons.com

Dear customer service, I went to a family dollar store today hoping that I could get some 2 dial soap pks (6 bars/pk) using my printed coupon from coupons.com, unfortunately the manager said that your system does not accept coupons if the customer can get it for free. Well it is not for free I will just get an additional 1 dollar off from the 5dollar for 2 packs dial soap (6bars). You should put in your weekly ad that coupons other that your smart coupons are not accepted. Aside from the embarassment that it were not accepted, I just wasted my time, effort, gas, in going to your store. So can you clarify on this if this is your policy so I will not be wasting my time going to your store to avail these coupons? Thanks!

Family Dollar I am complaining about the supervisor customer service

I went to the store like I always do, looking for some plates and lock for my house. I was standing at the line with 3 others customers waiting for the cashier, when a lady approached to the supervisor, and ask her to open the register. I immediately told her that we were on the line it was very disrespectful for us that she opened the cash register for a specific person. She told me that she didn't went to opened but she did. She also told me that she was not a cashier. When I got to the cashier I asked for a supervisor and Idia which is the cashier name, told me that the supervisor was the person who treated me extremely rude and was disrespectful with the whole line who were complaining too. After the cashier finished with the transaction I stepped to the supervisor cash register, and I told her that she as a supervisor was not supposed to gave me that attitude. I advised her that I will submit a complaint, to what she said that I can send as many as I want, at the enda nothing is going to happen to her. I felt sad, upsed and angry because this is the store that I always use for my house, and I was abashed and given a really bad customer service. I asked her name but she refused to provided it. I think that those kind of bad experience should not happen again. People like me just want to be respected and we expect to have a nice time when we visit the store to purchase. I am also disappointed because if she is a supervisor she should have the best customer service ever. I hope that her manager or someone about coach her and take measurements for this incident, especially for the answers that she gave me.

Family Dollar music being played

I am complaining about Family Dollar store #08871. I object to the store playing only christian music. Not everyone who goes into the store is a christian. I complained in - store and was told it is the only kind of music they are allowed to play. In your private home, OK, but not in a public business! I don't want to be forced to listen to christian music.

I am complaining about how "you" state, in several places, the stores customer service number. I called that number several times and never got to talk to a representative. All I got to was the recorded voice telling me ( after I pushed the #4 ) that to make a complaint I was to contact Family Dollar on it's website.! It's like once I tell "you" I have a complaint, "you" hang up on me. I am on your website but still no way of talking to anyone.

Family Dollar I ask before I purchased my merchandise could it come back if not correct I was told yes

I had purchased a track phone at family dollar on west 4th street and the manager was rued and unprofessional talking with me with lots of attitude. I told her the cashier told me I can exchange if not the right merchandise, I was told I don't care what you was told no exchange I also to her I had receipt. All im asking to exchange my merchandise I pay money for she could have solve problem in a more supervisor why. I need to exchange or get refunded my money .

Family Dollar cashier and manager were very rude to me as a customer

I went into store number 7452 located on puritas avenue in cleveland Ohio. I didnt catch the names but when I was checking out I slid my card and tild the cashier that I wanted to get something else she held the transaction back I went to get my item and came back and when she rang up my items all together she said I had insufficent funds. I can over draft on my card. I dont know what happened but apologized and called my card and the transaction went through on my card. As I was leaving rhe cashier said very mean"well next time you need to call your card before coming here because I have to put away your groceries and this is ridiculous!"she screwed something up. Im not sure what. Well when I got in contact with customer service the lady wanted to speak with the manager and the manager refused to talk to customer care because she said that they are not allowed. The customer representative was trying to get my funds back onto the card and she needed the manager to confirm that my transaction did not go through. Well the manager would not talk and walked away so when I asked to get the corporate number the manager had an attitude and gave me the number. As I was walking out the manager and the rude cashier were talking loud saying"I dont care if she calls corporate let her call and they were laughing". I was embarrassed. The cashier was not in trouble for being rude and on top of that the manager was laughing and being rude as well. There also was other customers around. I had funds on my card. I had up to 100 dollars to overdraft and my items came up to $75. The cashier did what she did and it was not my fault that it said unsufficient funds. Very very poor communication skills.

Family Dollar manager attitude

I've been in family dollar many times. Most of the employees are working extremely hard, but the manager is on the phone with her boyfriend/family member, or friend constantly. If I try to ask her a question, she will slightly move her phone and give me a backhanded answer and walk off. The other day I was in there and she was talking about how she couldn't stand one of her employees and she was trying to make it miserable there so they would quit and she could get their hours. Today while I was in there I overheard her tell another customer that she didn't have to work because she had the employee working at the counter to do it all for her. Something needs to be done about her. I've seen many people start working there and quit after only a short amount of time and they all say it's because of her. I'm also sure that she is doing pills while at work. People need jobs and she is making it difficult on everyone there and receiving all the benefits. I would like to see her be reprimanded or at least evaluated without warning. She is a terrible boss. Many customers agree with me.

Family Dollar halloween discounts

Went to buy my grandsons friends hair color and face paints, sign says 25% off costumes, decor and accessories. Grabbed all the items that I need it got to the register the young lady charged all my items. The 25% didnt come off so she called the supervisor by the name of jovanna, she told me that the items were not a part of the cell that the face paint was but the Halloween hair color is not an accessory and it was a non seasonal item I work in retail and knew that she was wrong in front of customers continue to be disrespectful and would not give her name so the lady at the register wrote her name and corporate number down for me. Please correct me if im wrong...

Family Dollar employee issue think a store manager

I was very disrespected in your store .your manager (i think he was wants to have his way that is not not store not store scans a coupon as you scan the item I have been this store several other times and have never had the problem that I had normally they scan everything i put my number in for the smart coupons then i give them my paper coupons not with this guy he wants to scan a item scan the coupon you have a deal spend $15 get $5 off you can't get the deal with the coupons being scanned with and the reason he says he does it like this is he don't feel like having to go back and check items if the coupons doesn't scan them he says I don't have to take your coupons theses coupons are not printed from online they where from the Sunday paper i have been couponing for over 5 years never have had been so disappointed disrespected I felt because I was couponing I was to be treated a certain way i know there is couponers that are out to do the wrong things i teach a class on how to coupon I had someone with me that I was teaching in the aisle with mine and her cart he walked by said something to her about having two carts because of this situation she don't even want to coupon no more i shop in many stores dollar general shoprite Wal-Mart etc never been treated like this i would like the DM of store number# 10813 to contact cause this was unacceptable thank you

Family Dollar customer service complaint

I went into one of your stores in utica, ny 13502 it is located on genesee st in south utica every time i shop there the line is rediculous only one register open 2 shut down i procided to ask the manager which walked by the long line 3 times i asked him if he could please open another register he walked right up to me and said "if u r gonna start trouble u can leave my store" now remind u i only asked if he could open up another line cause there had to be at least 15 people waiting .I then said, "whoa" all i asked u was to open a line, then i said well u are walking around doing nothing, "the women behind me said, to the manager you are rude all we want is to get checked out as he procided towards the register he was complaining that he had things to do but from the looks of it he was doing nothing, i then put my stuff down asked his name which he tried to hide the tag, his name is joshua, and i told him that that type of behavior towards paying customers is unacceptable and he should be re evaluated. For that job! I work in retail the customer is everything they are what keep the buisness going we take trainings on customer service i will never shop there again and i will tell every friend and every family member about my experience at family dollar! Not only is the long the manager rude i also waited 30 min on the phone to talk to a person about this encounter i whould appreciate a response thank you

Family Dollar employee / manager on duty

I went to my local store that I have been in at least once a week for a few years now. Today [protected] at about 9:10 am I pulled up and noticed a woman standing outside the door smoking a cigarette and talking on her cell phone talking about something that had happened to another worker, at first I didn't think much of it until later after I went in the store. There was no workers at all inside the store she was the lady outside the door smoking, while I looked around shopping she came in and got on the computer that was there for people to fill out job applications, while she was on the computer her cell phone rang and she got on the phone again talking about her job and what she had to do, another customer and man went up to the register to check out, she came and checked him out but while doing so she continued to talk on her phone, telling that this other worker was banned from any and all Family Dollar Stores, and that she could not even go into one of the stores to shop, and how lucky she was that they didn't do anything worse, while the man got checked out, I got in line behind him, and another lady customer them came and got in line behind me... while I was listening to her I thought "She needed to get off her phone and do her job and stop talking about the other worker and what happened in front of the customers that way." As the man walked out and worker started to ring up my item and take my money she get off her phone and then tells me and the lady behind me how it was another Family Dollar Store Manager and they really had the gossip going on and that the Manager from the other store just had to find out what happened... she should not have been on the phone in the first place and talking about that in front of customers, and she definitely should not have told the customers about what was going on... I have never see or heard such ever in that store before.

Family Dollar district manager marcus bush

I worked for family last year in montgomery al store 4280. I started april of 2016 during that time we where getting ready to transition into a new store. I worked open and close doing 50+ plus ours every week. We open our new store i was always on time never late always worked my shifted as directed. Around august i began to get sick and very weak not knowing i was pregnant lets not forget all the over time i put in an work i did for the company. So i worked through all my health problems because i new the company and store needed me. So i became 7 months pregnant my doctor found a fibroid tumor on my uterus. I was told by OBGYN that if i didnt stop working immediately i was at risk of dying or loosing my child. So i gave a notice that in a week or to i have stop working. My store manger Ms. Dillard was ok with it. So i left the district manager marcus bush tried to terminate me as if i did 3 no call no show. Thats was a lie so it didn't go through. After i had my baby in February i reapplied for my job never eould respond. So i want until july of 2017 and applied again i was offered a job took a drug and background test past. So my new DM called to verify my previous DM he didnt recommend me now at this store they didn't even tell me why i couldnt start but im eligible for rehire. Now granted i quit a job to come back to family dollar and i got denied by DM. So i said hey let me try to relocate with the company so i applied in columbus GA offered the job background and stuff done. Next thing i know is i get a call saying your previous DM marcus bush dont recommend you. Im very upset because i have been very good to this company. So my next step is a lawyer i hate to take these actions but whats going on is discrimination.

Family Dollar I am complaining about the manager.

I was a employee at Family Dollar in Collins Ms. The manager Felecia Floyd took me off the schedule without any warning. And when i confronted her she got very disrespectful its not the first time shes had a dispute with an employee she has a terrible attitude and shes unfit to be a manager needs to be replaced. Customers where always coming to me about her attitude. Shes bad for business.

Family Dollar broken basket rack

I walked into store # 05812 on 10/2/2017 at 11:15 am the basket rack to enter to the register on of the metal pieces was sticking out and caught my dress stretching my waist and tearing a hole through my dress and scratched me. I told the family dollar employee at the register and she just looked at me like “what am I supposed to do” . I am very irritated by here nonchalant attitude. I need someone to contact me regarding this horrible experience

Family Dollar payment not received

I bought some items Saturday evening 9/30/2017. I paid for them with my debit card and I asked for $10.00 cash back. My card was charged an extra dollar. The clerk said that the transaction didn’t go through, and to insert my card again into the chip reader. The transaction went through this time, and the clerk gave me my $10.00. I looked at the receipt and it looked as if I was charged twice, for the $10.00 cash back. I checked my bank account the next morning and it was just as I suspected.

Family Dollar store managers attitude

I can in to purchase some items and only had 50 dollar bills the store manager asked very rudely if I had anything smaller itold her no and she was rude about taking my money and counting out the money and acting very rude grabbing the receipt and handing me my change there was no signs up saying no big bills or anything so I think she needs an attitude adjustment

Family Dollar waiting in line for more than 20 mins and not be told that there changing shifts

Me and my brother were wayting in line for a while, they only had one register open and than out of no were the 2 register was open without being noticed for the ones wayting in line over 15 minutes, I asked the second register which was a Hispanic lady were they open? and a white lady a Co worker yelled at me I'm front of everyone! that they were open and let me tell u that there was a little 9yr old girl behind me that heard it too and so did her family, she yelled at me so loud that everyone heard it and got everyone in a bad mood too, I told her that she didn't have to yell at me and give me attitude that she needed to lower her voice! she said if u don't like how I talk u can leave she said! I was like wow so unprofessional! she needs to get fired bcus she caused a k-os and the family behind me left bcus the way she talked to me so plz fix this problem ASAP! WHAT KIND OF HOSPITALY IS THIS!

Family Dollar customer service (returns)

I Was in the 1001 Pendleton St. store looking for the new tracfone cards I ask the girl behind the counter did she know how the ones work she said no and that she would scan the ones she had behind the counter. she did I got home didn't work. invalid pin it said. went back after checking that pre paid wireless cards were refundable even tho the receipt said no returns.I realized right away this wasn't gonna go good. I got the the blame .it was my fault according to them, that I didn't tell the cashier i have a smartphone! I have used these cards for years and Never had a problem WHY would i think i needed to tell her that? Of course all of it was my fault! I told her the web site said prepaid wireless cards were refundable. she said she didn't care! the receipt says no refunds . I ask her are you saying I'm not gonna get my money back she said that's exactly what I'm saying! I spent $20.00 in this store and NOTHING to show for it! NOTHING!I will never go to this store again of course. Family Dollar might want to tell their girls in there they need some customer service training !I can't believe there was NO accountability on there part! I couldn't get a refund because they say it's my fault and the receipt says no refunds. They kept my money! I left with NOTHING! I want my money back!
