customer service
The staff and manager were completely disorganised and unprofessional and their treatment to me might as well be described as rubbish they did nothing to comply to my needs and their survice was completly not worth one's time and I would recommend a more mature company which seemed to be the opposite of the people who represent them there and their working operation is none the less the worst I've come across would not recommend at all.
2011 gmc terrain
I have a 2.4L L4 engine and it uses an excessive amount of oil, 1 qt every 400 to 500 miles. I am beyond the 7.5 yr or 120, 000 miles which ever comes first. My Terrain has 104, 000 miles on the odometer but is older than 7.5 years. General Motors had to know that there was a problem with this engine, their dynometer testing should have shown this and yet they still put it into a vehicle, I am really disappointed in GM and I don't feel right about selling this vehicle to anyone.
leasing vehicle process
Went to lease a vehicle at serra Chevrolet in southfield mi. I was given a price to lease the vehicle and was told to transfer my insurance and plates. Once all of the requests was done the price was changed by $160 more than original promised price. This is a bate and switch deal and is unfair to me as a customer. The original price should be honored
dealership from which I bought a 2019 buick encore
I had a screw in the back tire on the driverside so today 5/24/19 i took the Buick to Henderson Chevrolet in Henderson Kentucky where i purchased it bout a month ago. i had the donut on the car and the damaged tire was in the back. When i first got there they raised my hatch it stayed like that til they pulled it around back to fix my tire. The only issue i had when i arrived was a screw in my tire. They reolaced the tire when i got home i went to raise the hatch it wouldnt raise so i lifted it up with both hands my strut on the passenger side was completely gone. So i immediaely contacted the dealership i was talked to like i was crazy made feel like nothing it ended up the tecnician claimed everything was fine when he got thru well my doughnut was just throwed in the stuff that locks the doughnut in was underneath the doughnut but my new Buick is damaged and they wouldnt do nothing about it it only has a little over 700 miles on it The Buick made 4th new Gm car i bought from them since 2017. This is pitiful and i am quiet upset. My name is Anthony Dillingham. my phone number is [protected]. My email address is [protected]@outlook.com
2011 gmc yukon denali - engine replacement required
Hearing great reports on the GMC vehicles, and wanting to buy American (I then owned a Lexus SUV), on March 30, 2012, I purchased a 2011 GMC Yukon Denali from Jim Hudson GMC, Cadillac, Buick in Columbia, South Carolina. Although the vehicle was purchased in the name of Quinn Law Firm, LLC, I purchased it for my personal use and not for business.
The purchase price was $52, 000.00, and the mileage was 16, 571 miles. Prior to my purchase, I understood from general information that I could expect to get at least 150, 000 miles. I have recently been told that the vehicle should have had an average engine life of 209, 000 miles and an odometer mileage of 300, 000. I recently heard a knocking with respect to the motor, and upon taking it to the Jim Hudson dealership, I learned that the engine required replacement. Obviously, this was a disappointment to me, and not what I anticipated when I purchased the vehicle. As you'll note from the enclosed records, there was 106, 085 miles at the time of the inspection.
Based on purchase price, and my expectations of the mileage I thought I would get based on the experience of others, I am asking that GMC replace the engine. I had a 100, 000 inspection at the Jim Hudson dealership. Everything appeared in order except as noted.
Hard copies of letter and dealership records being mailed.

2015 gmc sierra slt
A dedicated GMC owner, I am not happy to find that my 2015 vehicle has such a poor quality anti-corosion wax coating. At all penetration points on the frame, heavy corosion is eating away at my newest truck. The engine mounts, upper control arm attachment points, cross beams inside and out; pretty much everywhere I could stick my eyeball or camera lens. I expected that GM, of all companys, would have solved this issue by now as it's not a new problem.
This is my 4th GMC truck and I absolutely love it. I still have my 2003 GMC to use for heavy loads and plowing, so I tend to treat my 2015 like a luxury vehicle. While performing an inspection before setting out on a recent vacation trip, I noted the corrosion. Needless to say, it didn't put me in a vacation frame of mind.
Earlier this year I had considered upgrading to a newer model but I wasn't satisfied with the minimal changes in design and fuel economy. Seeing no reason to trade it in, I decided to keep the vehicle that has served me so well for the past four years. This decission was based on the assumption that your vehicles are still designed to last hundreds of thousands of miles. Now I realize that this one will be lucky to make 100 thousand.
I reported my concerns to my local GMC dealer and learned that the service bullletin on this corrosion issue allots only 9 hours for rust removal and reapplication of a protective coating. That won't clean up the top of the frame or the inside surfaces and hard to reach areas. Motor mounts and other attachment points are incredibly corroded so I really don't see how a day's work can possibly solve this problem. I believe that the only way to do this correctly and prevent structural failure would be to remove the bed and cab to allow access to the entire frame and replacement of other corroded parts.
I don't know the feasibility of performing this work and retaining a reliable vehicle. It seems that by the time a vehicle is deconstructed to this level, you may as well build a new one! I am open to any proposal that would truly resolve this issue, but I will not accept a simple band-aid approach to what I perceive as a major defect.
I have also filed a complaint through my dealer, Brustolon GMC of Mystic, CT.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter,
James Rigney

bidleman chevy, gmc buick dealer in albion, ny
I bought a new 2018 GMC Terrain from Don Davis Dealer in Albion. Right after that they were bought out by Bidleman. Went there for maintenance in February 2019 for oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. Said all was good. On May 17, 2019 I went to a different garage just for an oil change. They called me back and said your rotors are all bad and definitely defective. I called Bidleman dealer and talked with Service Manager, Wayne Harris. He was so rude and told me they were not going to warranty it out because it ran out already. He tried telling me that there might be a stone in it. Well NOT in all 4 rotors! All 4 rotors are pitted and the back have large groves around the rotors. I took it in to Bidleman on May 18th and they found no problems with the brakes at all and NO stones. The service writer said we found no reason why they would be like that. I would replace them free of charge if I could but it is not my call. He told me to call Wayne Harris on Monday. I called him Monday morning and he then tried to tell me it was from the weather! NOT on all 4 rotors in 2.5 months. If anything they were like that in February and they never said a word because of course it would've been covered then. This is a NEW vehicle and I have since been to 2 shops and they said same thing. DEFECTIVE!
gm end-of-lease
Consumer beware of end of lease treatment with GM.
I leased their top of the line CTS-V for 39 months.
I purchased another car, NOT a GM, and turned the CTS-V into the dealership 11 days PRIOR to the end of the lease period. I also purchased an extended warranty through ECCO Car Pro to cover any issues GM did not during this time period.
SIX days AFTER the lease period expired (and the ECCO Car Pro extended warranty) I get a $1138 bill for "excessive wear".
Had GM contacted me during the 11 days that they had the CTS-V prior to the termination of the lease; the extended warranty would have covered this $1138.
Contacting their customer service, GM responds that they are under no obligation to contact me that there will be excess charges until the final bill is complete.
I think this is ridiculously poor treatment for a customer that has purchased 2 Corvette Z06's and leased a 2016 CTS-V, almost $100, 000 vehicle.
Consumer beware of end-of-lease charges !
I will never lease another vehicle from GM !

engine mounted mechanical vacuum/powerbrake
On May3, 2019 I was in heavy traffice moving slowly ahead one car at a time and I noticed that my brakes were not working like they should in the short distance I was travelling. I had to pump the brakes forcefully to be able to stop and I felt very unsafe.
I returned to my post office on May 7th to find a letter from GM Canada regarding a Special Coverage Program N182202780 which stated exactly what I had just experienced. I made an appointment at my local dealer on May 16th to have it looked at and they informed me it would not be covered due to the km's I had on my vehicle. The cost to repair the vacuum pump and belt is $651.50. I have been a long time GM customer for 40 years and have always felt that I received good service. I feel this is a safety issue and that the repairs should be taken care of by GM.
length of time to receive vehicle
My name is James Simons, phone number is [protected]. E mail address is [protected]@yahoo.com
I doubt i'll receive a response back but wanted you to know how surprised I am about this issue.
I ordered a Silverado RST 7 weeks ago and was told delivery about 4-6 weeks. Well that is now 6-8 weeks and still waiting. I h ave heard it was to be built last week 5/6. It is now built and am waiting for delivery this week 5/13. Today is 5/16 and hoping to get it yet this week, Friday?
My issue is, yes I don't have the truck yet but HOW in this day and age can it take 8 weeks to receive a vehicle? A person orders a vehicle, the computer sends the information to the factory or wherever it needs to go. This takes seconds! The order gets a place in line and gets built. People should have their vehicle in a month or less.
My other thought is why isn't an individual order put in front of all of the other vehicles that are to be put in a dealerships lot?
Thanks and I hope to get my truck very soon, been driving my wives crappy 11 yr old CRV instead of my new truck! Sure, I'd take any discount you want to pass on to me?

lease turn in charges
We have bought gm cars for 30 years. We turned this lease into a Jeep Dealer because we needed a car for our college student and they chose a Jeep Brand. I have never had a problem with leasing with gm before. I still paid off the 6 remaining payments. I was under miles by 5, 643 miles which means I paid $1410.75 more then I used. I purchased a tire insurance package for over $650. Upon turn in and ha omg a 3rd party review, they want to charge me $1673 for wear and tear including not having the original tire brand on the car. The tires are only a few months old. They said I would have had to get the original dealer put in new tires in order to have used the insurance. I feel these charges are excessive and now they want to ding my credit u til I pay. This is outrageous and has shaken my loyalty with GM. It needs to be resolved as I do not feel I should have to pay this fee on top of everything else I paid. I feel GM is choosing to punish us for not releasing this ONE time with them.
temp blend door actuator motors
I own a 2004 2500 HD, 2009 Impala LT, and a 2010 Impala LT. I have had to replace all the temp blend door actuator motors on the 2004 2500 HD and the 2009 Impala LT. Now I am replacing the temp blend door motors on the 2010 Impala LT which only has 21, 000 original miles. The total cost for replacing these parts is over $1, 000 and appears to be a defect common to all these vehicles. I would think that would indicate a chronic problem that GM should be covering the cost.
fuel smell inside & outside car, gm special coverage adjustment 15682
My 2008 Corvette has the fuel pump leking that was on your GM Special coverage adjustment # 15682. I took my car to local Chevy dealer only to be told that I missed the replacement window by a few months and it would now cost me $2400 to $2800 for repairs. I tried to explain that I never received nor was I aware of the problem until
I started smelling gas both inside and outside the car.
I need someone with authority to please reply asap to resolve this issue,
Bob Kahl

2019 chevrolet traverse paint flaking off top of hood
I purchased a 2019 chevrolet traverse on January 2, 2019. Color Black Currant Metallic. I only have 2400 miles on the vehicle. When it isn't being driving it is stored in a garage. After I washed it this weekend I noticed the middle of the hood had paint flakes missing in two separate spots. It appears that there is a very thin coat of paint that was sprayed on the vehicle. I have always owned Chevrolet vehicles and never had this issue. I would like to know how to get this remedied.
Thank you.
I own a 2019 Chevy Traverse. I had a HORRIBLE paint chipping problem on the hood of my car. I have owned a handful of new cars and NEVER had this issue. I was told that I must follow too closely behind other cars. Problem with that comment, I drive all back roads with almost no cars on them. Then I was told it was from bug acid. I paid to have my hood repainted. Guess what, it took less than 10 days for the paint to start chipping again. VERY disappointed with their response and/or willingness to fix it.
I also have that same problem on my hood and paint on my door handles are gummy and not glossy. I have a 2019 white Traverse, I bought it July 2019. It doesn't get driven much and it stays in the garage.
I purchased a Chevy Traverse 2019 in May and my paint is chipping everywhere on the hood there has got to be something that can be done to fix this problem as it appears to be a problem with the manufactures paint.
I purchased a 2019 Chevy Traverse in January and I have chipped paint in 6 different spots. I can’t believe this has happened!
2014 chevy silverado / leaking ac condencer dew to bad weld
I have a 2014 chevy silverado and the a/c stoped working a few days ago. I re-charged the system and was glad to know my compressor was working fine but about 2 days later the ac stoped working again so I figured there must be a freon leak. I usea a uv dye to try yo find out where the leak was coming from. It took some time but I found it looking through the front grill on the driver side of the truck. The leak was coming from a bad weld to the condencer and the truck body. It is clear the weld is bad with a bubble in the weld that cracked. The other welds look solid. The dealer wanted to charge me over 1000 to fix the issue. I was in shock. It is out of warentee but this is a defect in the weld from when it was built. I am trying to contact gm customer service but not much luck so far. I checked online about the issue and it seams to be a big problem on many gm vhicals of my year. Why this has not been put on the recall list yet? I will not pay 1000 for a defect.
2012 gmc acadia
I have a 2012 GMC Acadia that I purchased in December 2015. When I initially purchased the vehicle it ran and drove good, however, after about 1 year the car began to have problems with the power steering, which ended with the replacement of the power steering line and pump. This is when we learned of the issue with this defective area of the car. We since have had minor issues with things needing to be replaced and then the car began to have additional issues with the power steering. We were told based on the error codes and the traction control cutting off and on that the power steering pump and line needed to be replaced again. After these were replaced the car still had the same issues. We were told the spark plugs and a gasket needed to be replaced. Once that was done the issue was still there. The GMC dealership was stumped so they had to call the engineers to figure out what the problem was. After speaking to them they assured us that the fuel pump and injectors were the issue. Those have been replaced and the car is still having the same issue. After all of the money spent on this vehicle the issues are still there and it is safe to say GM does not know what the issue is with the vehicle. I have been without a vehicle for 2 weeks and not only paying thousands for car repairs that are being guessed at, but also having to pay for a rental car. I have a loan on this car that is more than the broken car is even worth at this point. Honestly I would like to just get rid of the car and have the remainder of the loan paid off or this car sent somewhere are totally repaired for no more cost to me as this is not a cheap process and I cannot afford to continue to throw money around at a car that no one at GM can seem to figure out what is wrong with.
customer service and vehicle failures
I have a 2016 Yukon XL with 101, 000. I have had two extended warranty items issued on my 30 month old truck. I'm over the mileage limit, so I don't qualify for either. One of them, the A/C condenser, failed in my truck recently but since we were in the winter months when it failed I didn't know it. $1, 113.90 to fix a known GMC problem but because I drive more than the "extended warranty" allowed, I eat it. I was over the extended miles 15 months after I bought the truck and probably before the extension was even issued. I find it hard to stomach the fact that because I use my vehicle for the purpose it was originally intended, driving, I have to cover the failure cost. The extension should be a reasonable number of miles or years, not whichever comes first. FYI... when using the heat in my truck, if you turn the A/C off, and the internal temps go way beyond anything you have it set to. I think it seems strage to need the A/C and heat on at the same time, but none the less this deems A/C use a must 365 days per year in TN. What ever happened to GMC and Chevy trucks being "Like a Rock"?
My wife worked for GM for 10 years in Detroit. We've now owned 10 consecutive GM vehicles and still utilize my wife's full GM discount on new GM purchases. We do all of our repairs and maintenance at our local dealership. We don't have to do this, but chose to because we believed in a company that we felt for so long was the pride of USA powertrain and craftsmanship. I'm not sure I'm willing to overpay for that misconception any longer. I've attached my receipt for the expensive repair as well as my customer reimbursement request form. I have zero expectation of GMC reimbursing it. My true goal and hope in this effort is for someone at GM to recongnize this as a customer service failure, and are willing to stand up and do the right thing.
