I was shopping at your 7th st and Union Hills Phoenix Az location yesterday 7/11/2023 as I have been a regular customer for over twelve years at this location without incident. As I was leaving I had a pair of socks in my hand along with my wallet which I had inadvertently neglected to purchase which I would have the moment I realized I was still holding...

When I got to the register a young girl l, (the Alsace one who has done this before, madyson on her name tag rang it up for 5.79as a regular shirt. Goodwill Industries Goodwill Industries, Greensboro, North Carolina

The Goodwill store in Greensboro, NC sold me a ring they said was sterling silver with diamond accents. I paid to have the ring sent to me in North Dakota. When the ring arrived, I tested the ring and it is junk costume jewelry, made of copper and there are no diamonds in the ring. When I notified the store of their error and sent them the proof of the tests, showing their ring is not what they said it was, they told me I could pay to ship the ring back to them (second time paying for shipping) and they would retest the ring (why didn't they test it prior to selling it). If the ring was found to not be sterling silver, they would refund my purchase price, but not the shipping and handling fees. When I told them that is absurd that I should pay anything for the junk they shipped me, they disabled my account. Can you imagine that? They commit fraud and then double down on it and then tell the customer they have to pay for that junk, even though they lied from the start. I tried to contact them through the website and tried to reach their management. They were NO help whatsoever. This store is HORRIBLE! Do NOT trust them and do NOT buy anything from them. They run the store like used car salesman! Every employee at that store should be FIRED! To be clear, my complaint is not with Goodwill as a whole. It is specifically the Goodwill store in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Desired outcome: Full refund of purchase price and ALL fees! I do not want to pay 1 single penny for this junk ring! And, I want my account re-enabled as I did NOTHING wrong to warrant being blocked from purchasing.

I won a metal detector online vis Goodwillauctions.com The item was described that it powers on. When I got it, it did not power-on. When I sent them a letter complaining that it didn't work, they sent a reply that it did work. Then the customer support guy stated that they powered the detector on with two 9v batteries. The detector works with eight AA...

Goodwill Industries Brunswick location

I have lived here for 5 years from Atlanta/and many travels abroad. the Brunswick location never offers the color discount tags/military/ no anything. I try to wait till I go home to shop at goodwill. For one you're not questioned as if you were not supposed be shopping there unless you have ID. This country is nowhere close to united. I am a Veteran I am questioned more about $5 than someone who gets their hair and nails done and NEVER work. So, my time and taxes are paying for that/ along with all the children they decided to have on working citizen's clock. I shop at Goodwill because I like it/even though your company is receiving free merchandise that you charge for. The Brunswick location in all my travels has been the most challenging location. I have not expressed this until today hoping they would go back to accommodations for the CUSTOMERS that's keeping salaries paid. They are not doing bad because it's the only one here. From now on I will wait for my travels to continue to shop with Goodwill/I don't blame the workers indoors their just following orders from regional/instore management/as a result turnover is hi.

Desired outcome: Open a second location/Brunswick is growing/keep the standards of the company region to region.

On June 22nd, 2023, I shopped at Goodwill Industries in New Lexington, Ohio. As I exited the store through the front door carrying a storage tub with contents, I fell and injured my left knee. Once outside the front door, the sidewalk goes into a downward slope leading into the parking lot. The next day, my knee had swollen with increased pain. I went to...

Goodwill Industries Clothing

I have noticed The prices have been steadily increasing in Goodwill. It seems they have forgot that they are a thrift store and people shop there because they have to not because they want to for clothing. I purchased a pair of men's shorts they were $12.99 I thought that was quite expensive but they seem nice I looked online they were $13.99 brand new at a large Nationwide department store That's what pushed me to write this review that's appalling to see a store taking advantage of people that are forced to shop at thrift stores.

Desired outcome: The desired outcome would be for corporate to take a walk through all the stores without letting them know that they are coming and check out the pricing especially in Fountain Hills Arizona

Goodwill Industries store air freshers

I need to complain about the air freshers at the Woodland Park Colorado location. They are way too strong and spray too much and too often. It is so hard to breath in the store. I understand you need them in the store but does there need to be three spraying every few minutes. Its just too much. You can visibly see the spray hanging in the air. I have heard several people have complained about it. I absolutely love this Goodwill, and love shopping there, but I leave so sick from the air freshers. Can they be turned down or not have so many? Thank you in advance.

Desired outcome: Eliminate some of the air freshers and turn them down.

Goodwill Industries repurposed jewelry box

I purchased the repurposed jewelry box from Goodwill Blue Box on May 26th. It was supposed to buy a 2-get-1-free sale. I only received the 2 boxes that I purchased. I thought, hey they made a mistake, let me contact them. That didn't turn out like I thought it would. If you go to your website the email address listed there gets returned to the sender undeliverable. Your Facebook page messenger gives a different email address. I'm not sure if that address is valid, as I haven't received any response after multiple attempts. What do I need to do to resolve this issue? my order date was 5/26/23 My Upright order number is 7983614, and my Bluebox order number is 80328. My email address is [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: I would like the box of promised repurposed jewelry box.

Goodwill Industries The manager on duty

Re: store [protected] Holcomb Bridge Road Suite 116. Alpharetta, GA. 30022

Hi,

I am a public school teacher and teach the three Rs to my students every year. R for reducing, recycling, and reusing. For the same belief I shop frequently in Goodwill and donate always. I try to keep buying from my neighborhood Goodwill. I always had a great experience since Ms. Erica joined the team as a manager. Every time I asked her a question she had an attitude, being rude and unkind. Today I found an air fryer which was missing a part inside, was a mess, and needed tremendous cleaning priced for $9.99. I figured out that I can find the missing part and order it on Amazon, if I can get a bit discount to help the item also be sold. I approached Ms. Erica. She profiled me that I always ask for discount and when I objected that she told me that she will ban me from going to the store as I have been rude to her. She kept yelling and being loud and unkind to me in front of the other customers. I told her that the other stores are open to consider a bit of discount if the item is defective, but she kept being mad and insulting me. I demand immediate action as she has been bias and prejudice to me for having a bit of accent. She put me down in front of the other customers and being so unprofessional. My phone number is [protected]. The whole idea of Goodwill is to have goodwill and being kind to pass the kindness from one to another one to help the community in needs. Ms. Erica is in a wrong business. I am hoping you investigate this further. People like Ms. Erica are in wrong business and they do not need to be employed by GOODWILL. I am customer who constantly buys and donates. I hope I do not have to take this matter further as I know you will take action.

Regards,

Toori Zolghadr

Desired outcome: The employee needs to be fired.

Goodwill Industries Refused to sell valuable items

On May 31st 2023 I went to the Goodwill store #152 to buy a chair and as I was looking over the chair for rips I found an old sword between the cushions so I took the item to the manager to price the sword so I can buy it, but the manager grabbed the item from me and said we can't sell that to you and she put it in her office. Well I went home to call corporate office to ask if she could have sold the item and they said yes she could have so I put in complaint but I still have not heard anything from corporate. I told them I want to buy the item. I think this is very unfair to take from customers and keep for themselves

Desired outcome: I would like to buy the sword602-471-7245

Well I went home and called corporate office to see if she could have sold me the item and they said yes she could have.. she just needs to price it... Well it's been a week and no one has called me about the item so I want answers asap.. I want to buy the item and it's not fair for employees to take from the public . This is donations! It's not the employees property!

Goodwill Industries Product price gouging

GoodWill has increased and changed the way it prices goods.

Let me remind everyone including GoodWill Corporate everything you receive is 100% free, yet games went from 2.99$ for any game to upwards of 12.99$ sometimes surpassing retail price

Books were $.99 for kids now $1.99 and adult books were based on paperback vs hardback. Now a $2.99 flat rate

Clothing was a set $5.79 women's and men's per article men or women's and that was even once $3.79

And shoes in kids went from anywhere from $2.99-5 to $5.99+

It's astronomical to place inflated rates on free items that a company makes 100% profit on and then is able to cut their own taxes by "donating" to Charity.

This is totally bad practice and business! You would think corporate would understand that low cost books (sell faster than higher prices books) volume beats $... Where do you make more money selling 3 books at $2.99 or 200 at.99ct?

Same with the clothing and shoes...

I'm a stay at home mom with a minimal college education but I clearly understand the economics better than whoever is making these horrible business decisions. Squeezing the American dollar out of hard working Americans makes you look like corporate bullies instead of corporate heroes!

Desired outcome: It's through our donations you exist, bring back better pricing. Stop the inflammation insanity just because you can.

Goodwill Industries Fake gold purchased, advertised as real 14k

To whom it may concern-

I purchased 3 pieces of jewelry that was advertised as being 14k gold on the Shopgoodwill.com website. I took that "gold" to my jeweler last week to have a ring made and was told that it is costume jewelry and not real gold. I have contacted customer support who has given me the run around for 3 days before sending a message to one of the E-Commerce specialists. She told me that that I cannot return the merchandise since it has been over 14 days. She stated that I should have inspected the merchandise. I am not a Jewler, I trusted that what was advertised was correct. Since it is fake gold and was advertised as real 14K gold, I would like a refund. This is fraud-advertising a product that isn't what it was advertised as. Listed below are the details:

Order #[protected], Item #[protected], Date purchased: 2-1-22, Item advertised as "14K gold pendent-4.37g" Paid-$235.43 Goodwill of Southern/Western Colorado.

Order #[protected], item #[protected], Date purchased: 2-2-22 Item advertised as "14 K gold San Marcos style double curve earrings-6.1g" Paid $222.40 Goodwill Southern Arizona

Order #[protected] Item #[protected], Date purchased 2-3-22 Item advertised as "14K gold tri-color earrings-11.9g" Paid-$255.53 Goodwill of Western/Northern Connecticut.

Grand Total: $713.36. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Desired outcome: Credit back to my credit card on my ShopGoodwill.com account or a paper check.

I won an auction through the Goodwill for seven rings, and they were all supposed to be sterling silver 925 and undamaged, slight wear.

I spent just shy of 100 bucks on them when I got them two of them were not sterling silver at all and three of them were heavily damaged.

I've been trying for a month to get a refund or something from them. The only thing they offered me was three dollars back and they still haven't gotten back in touch with me since that offer.

Five of the seven rings, not being what they were said to be is just out and out dishonesty I would've never bought those rings Had I known what they were actually going to turn out to be.

The Goodwill is dishonest they are greedy, and they falsely advertise all the time.

I've bought jewelry through them two different times and each time I've been ripped off one of the pairs of earrings that I bought the first time we're not sterling silver at all either they were junk.

I have filed a complaint with the BBC against them.

They're getting away with being very fraudulent and somebody needs to make them start doing right by their customers.

Goodwill Industries Store manager

I was trying to make a donation to one of your stores in Fresno California. At Shaw and brawley on April 22rd 2023. I was there to make a donation and they only took a few items they said they were not going to accept any more donations from me. I had lots of clothes kids toys and I had scooters or younger kids but they did not accept that. They did not even give me a donation slip.
