the technician made errors and units didn't work
Home Depot and Delta Mechanical installed 4 separate units and two of them worked fine. There were problems with 2 units and the company promised that their mechanics would come to check and fix it. Also I called my friend, who said that there were wiring errors. He said that it was their fault and the company must compensate as well as to pay for the repair services. Nothing was done and they still haven’t finished the job. These units still didn’t work properly.
consumer delivery
Home depot delivery is a piece of crap! They are inconsistent they delivered a dryer to me at 745 am in the morning and they have very nasty attitudes at this delivery company and their supervisors as well that I spoke with no help no assistance and just down right nasty. They have nasty attitudes with these so called contractors and they just pawn u off to a fly by night so called company with rude females that act like they are in the presidential seat and talking down to you for a mere delivery — I will go to lowes the next time home depot — get some service and some really concerned delivery personnel. Check your stocks as well is there a reason why u are in the negative?
lg washer wt5680hva
I bought a washer in store on 12/28/15 in at HD Manassas, VA. Home delivery was scheduled for 1/2/16. Delivery man brings unit into my home, hooks up the unit, we sign for delivery and then he hands us some parts and tells us the washer is broken and someone will be in touch as he is walking out the door. I immediately call HD store and am told that someone...

Purchased a shelf and received the package two weeks later. When I opened the box I saw a piece of wood with no screws and no touch up paint as mentioned in the instructions. That so called shelf was also damaged. I contacted their customer service immediately. Agent gave me an option and offered to send the shelf back to them. I packaged the item and sent it back the same day. Then I received a message stating that shelf was in bad condition, so they'll refund me only $10. When you buy something and pay for it you expect to get what you asked for! I paid money, but received something completely ridiculous! The least they could do was to offer an exchange. Very disappointed.
special order door.
I have an odd size door opening on my house so I ordered a custom door from the Richmond rd, Home Depot in Lexington on Dec 2nd. I was told it would be finished by Christmas. I called and was told it was held up, but would definitely be done by Dec.26. It's now Dec 29th I have a hole in the back of my house and still no door. The new date is Jan 1st. I'm...

I filled for bankruptcy in: 2012 paid all my secured debt 100% via the US Trustee assigned my case > Kathy Dockery. I did not have a line of credit in 2008 at all with this company!I had a card in 2001 which was paid in full by Oder of the courts during my divorce. My x- Alwx Gramm was partner in this card which he closed immediately closes after paying! Which was my card first but they allowed him to close my account! The legal amount of time for this to still affect my credit has long since passed; including but not limited to the BK-13 which was satisfied on or around 11-11-12! Any documents needed to clarify this are public record! Please kindly advise as to how to dispute this misinformation..on credit report?
employment discrimination
Hd discriminates against people over 40, women, and people with disabilities. It happened to me. I am pursuing legal action and I hope everyone who feels they have been discriminated against will do the same. Do not shop there. Shop elsewhere. Do not remain silent.
christmas tree staff
On December 16, 2015 at 5:20PM I visited the 22nd Ave N Home Depot store in St. Petersburg to buy a Christmas tree. In the 'cage' of trees, there was one man working with customers. He was tall, crew cut and football type build. He had multiple customers in the area yet focused on one male/female couple only. He showed them about 20 trees as they tried to decide on the perfect one. Others of us had maneuvered our own trees and made our decision, yet could not get him away in order to get our tree trimmed and thru the net machine. Apparently this guy can do only one thing at a time. We stood there for 15 minutes while he is still walking the aisles looking for a tree for a couple who had trouble finding the perfect one. Or is he sexist, and only helps the male female couple and leaving the two ladies to our own and the ladies with children to struggle on their own. Really pathetic customer service. This guy should not have a job at HD with so many good candidates looking for jobs and who are willing to actually engage with customers. Letter from a VP of a bank, and a Senior Project Manager of a tech company. On the other hand, I went in the store for one item and had one gentleman provide some of the best service ever. So there is a lack in training or a poor hiring decision. Either way, the Christmas tree guy was awful.
went in to the store in Clarksville Tennessee to get a weed eater. I hade called two days before and gave the number on the weed eater that I found on line. the lady seed she hade 3 of them. the next day I went to get one and the did not have one. so is asked a man to help me find the weed eater and he took the number and seed he wood run it threw his computer he did not return but so rude fat smart ### came over and informed me that he hade in the weed eater business for a long time using a real rude voice I should have walked out but I was buying a weed eater for my grand sun so I bought one. but I will tell you one thing you will never catch me in a home Depot again the can take there rude sales people and stick them where ever the wont to.
countertop installation
I had my new counter top installed on Nov.12 of 2015. When the guys left, I found they had not secured my dishwasher and my counter top outlets did not work. I called the Lakeland Fl. customer service and they sent someone out two days before thanksgiving. He was able to secure my dishwasher but couldn't fix my counter top outlets since he was not an...
Read full review of Home Depotartificial christmas tree
I ordered an artificial Christmas tree on the home depot site last month. I saw the model in the store located in Rutland Vermont but decided to order it online so it would be delivered to my house instead of me having to maneuver a big, bulky box to and from my car. In store, the tree looked very nice. I just tried putting this together tonight and found that the inside of the base is broken and crumbled, as well as there being a big chip on the outside of the urn. At this point, the tree itself is put together but leaning against the wall until my husband can figure out a way to make it sturdy in the urn . I do not have the time to dismantle it and make a return, whether by mail or at the store. I am very disappointed in this order. It's not like this is some small item that is easily packed up again to get a new one. I will never buy anything online from Home Depot again.
door purchase/installation
Well if you have an hour to read this... Where do I start? Purchased the door in june 2014. It was installed a few months later. The next day I was looking at my beautiful new door only to see the glass decorative sidelite was installed backwards! I quickly called peak installations and I was told to take a picture and email it to them. Are you freakin kidding me? I spent $6, 500 and you can't send someone out? Within a few days the actual installer called me. His exact words were "some people actually like the sidelite installed in the reverse"... Seriously? Why would I pay money to have a decorative piece which no one can see from the outside since its facing interior? Then weeks went by... No calls from peak. I called them only to hear the annoying "project manager" say she was just about to call me. She proceeded to tell me she'll send out a technician to simply flip the sidelite so it's in the right way. Huh... The technician came out after a month only to see that the sidelite cannot be flipped as it is built as one entire unit and now the entire thing will have to be ripped out and replaced. If peak actually knew the products they install shouldn't they have known that this door is a complete unit? Instead they wasted my time and had me chase them down. Well it doesn't end there... The next door that came was installed so poorly by some other sub contract company. There was silicone seeping around the trims it was horrible! Total amature workmanship! Weeks later one of the plugs that cover the screw hole came off. So I called peak again. The lovely receptionist there said she would have a technician come out and fix it. Again weeks went by and nothing! So I call again and the lovely receptionist (I'm being polite) said in her oh so famous words "I was just about to call you". Next day tech came while I was at work. When I got home I was so angry with the so called "fix". The tech covered the screw hole but with a completely different colour! I called to speak with the tech and he said well I didn't have the exact colour so that's all I had! Ok so a couple months go by and my husband noticed that moisture and condensation are inside the glass decorative sidelite. So again I call peake, the nasty receptionist advised me to take photos again. I take the bloody photos and send them. After weeks she tells me the door needs to be replaced again! So now this will be my third door in less than one year.in the meantime I get this random phone call from this handyman telling me he was contacted by peak to fix my problem? I explain to him that there is nothing to fix since the entire door unit will be replaced. He insisted on coming to my home to see the door. When rob came he briefly inspected the door but I could tell he had no idea of what he as looking at. He was more concerned about trying to sell me on his many handyman skills. Then rob disappeared... He was replaced by yet another subcontracted installer. So finally in july of 2015 my door was ripped out again. The last installer (All wood) did an amazing job I must say. But my problem now is peak only ordered me a new unit but kept the existing door. So now I have 2 different colours since the door was not made at the same time as the sidelite. I contacted peak and they basically said too bad deal with the warranty. She actually said that I am to call masonite warranty! I cannot believe that after everything this company has put me through and the amount of money that I have spent this is the type of customer service I get! If you are considering purchasing a new door please take my advice and do not go through home depot. You are better off going to an actual door company that doesn't sub contract out! I am truly disappointed as I have scrimped and saved to buy this door only to feel screwed over and unhappy with the end result. Take it from me beware of peak installations!
millwork department/sales
On October 8 2015 I came into inquire about a cheap entry door versus a cheap screen door. I purchased a screen door at Pre-tax Customer Price of $319, total price of $446.39, with an installation date of November 6 2015. The installation technician arrives and began to remove parts of the frame; however, he stopped because he notices that the interior...

on 11/6 at about 430pm, I was shopping at El Cajon Home Depot and passed a Solar City booth. Three salespeople were present there. One of them said "how is your day going"? I was supposed to get a delivery today 11/2/2015. I got the call from the delivery guy, i told him i will be there in 20 minutes. He was very rude and told me he will talk to someone in the company and hung up on me. i got the call back from the home depot delivery and they said they moved on to the other delivery and they don't have to wait. That was very disrespectful. They cannot wait 20 mins. If i knew i was going to be treated like this, i would have never done business with them and never paid them $1600 a week ago. When i was doing my purchase, i was told they are pretty flexible and call them in advance. This is a complete waste of time and i feel that i have mislead.

In September I dropped off a request form for a donation which was coming up at the end of October.I waited for a few weeks before contacting the person who handled the donations. I tried to return 6 items with a receipt to a Homedepot store (Fayetteville, GA) and found out that my wife and I have been black listed from retrning anything to said store. Not only can they not tell me why but referred me to a whole different company to find out why. The company is called The Retail Equation. This company is tracking transactions and storing this info to use against customers. Now, I have to do a dance and provide my personal information to have this reversed. I have received zero cooperation from Homedepot and less from The Retail Equation. At this point I am willing to call this a loss and use the only weapon I have left... my money and my pen. It is apparent to me that Homedepot doesn't care about customer satisfaction and that they will do nothing to solve this. Therefore, I will no longer spend my money in Homedepot stores or anywhere connected to them. Also, every tiny house jamboree or seminar we host or speak at will hear this complaint. I will personally tell everyone I know about the practices of customer espionage performed by Homedepot. Also, I will dedicate a special post on this subject on my website and all tiny house sites that we write for. I don't expect a reply or apology or solution at this point. I do expect Homedepot to loose a few customers though. The fact that they are releasing personal information to another company to do with as they wish is just dirty especially in a time of so many identity thefts. I am however wondering about the legality of these practices and wish nothing but bad things for any store that uses these practices. If there was a way to repay Homedepot in kind for this I would do it. But, I can't so, I'll us the tools I have at my disposal.

military discount
Sun Oct 4th, I purchased a water heater at Home Depot in Kannapolis. I showed them my military ID card (as I have for the past 5 yrs) in order to get my discount. The guy behind the counter asked if it was the only one I had. I explained "I've never had an issue any other time. Are you new?" He said he was" not new and that it has always been that way." I got upset and told him that "I have purchased high priced appliances and was able to use the discount." He then states "I appreciate that, but I cannot honor the military discount." I had to vent for a few minutes about the fact that I cannot believe this was happening and I found it hard to believe anything he said. So, I asked for THE manager. This guy, who already told me they have NEVER honored military discounts then say THIS: "I appreciate you being a loyal customer. If this were a $20 purchase, I could do the discount. Your purchase is for over $500. Do you understand?" Honestly? Did he really just say that? He went from NEVER honoring military ID's to depending on the amount? I questioned his argument...and he said "I'll honor it THIS time, but..." I then said "That is fine with me. Although I appreciate you honoring what you've already been honoring me for the past five years, I will NOT be back!" I have never had an issue with Lowe's and I would've went there, but the one they had in stock was cheaper. The lady who went to the back to get my order (because they didn't have the correct water heater pulled), said that he IS new and it was his decision not to honor it. She told me to contact Corporate and complain since they were trying to get rid of the military discount all together. Goes to show that it doesn't always pay to go where it's cheaper. I'd rather pay the difference and get excellent customer service. I will NEVER go back to Home Depot due to this visit.
Their policy clearly states it is up to a $500 purchase.
veteran's discount
I have been a staunch supporter of Home Depot but they have now lost me as a customer. I was told today that the Home Depot would no longer recognize my Veteran's ID for their 10% discount because I am not a "disabled" Veteran. What an insult! I did some research and only 7.3% of living Americans are a military Veteran or on active military duty. Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves for not recognizing all military Veterans who have served their Country. I was on active duty on a submarine during the Vietnam war and fortunately was not physically injured during my service and was honorably discharged so no military discount? So henceforth I will be a Lowe's customer where they value the service of ALL Veterans.
"So henceforth I will be a Lowe's customer where they value the service of ALL Veterans."
Apparently Home Depot and Lowes have the same policy: http://themilitarywallet.com/home-depot-lowes-10-military-discount/
contractor service & installation
Hot Water Heater purchase/installation ON 10/5/2015. I was told by Home Depot to call their installation line to have someone come out and look at everything. I called and they (Brother's Heating & Cooling- who's contracted by HD) were who answered. Issue 1: The installer said that just the installation was going to be $1385. $1000 install + $385 to rewire it b/c the gauge of wire I currently have is pulling to much power. I was in shock and told him I'll have my neighbor put it in. He said "You can't do that! If you do, it could cause a fire and the warranty will not be covered." I said "I cannot justify paying almost 3x what the water tank is worth just to install it. HD has a installation video tutorial on their web page." He says "Again, you cannot install this yourself. It is not advisable." By scaring me and having me think I had no other choice (this is my first home and the first time I've ever had to do anything like this), I had him install it. Issue 2: After installation, he told me that the electrician was on his way (that was at 12pm). He asked where I wanted the old tank left and I said at the road for pick up was fine. He then left, didn't leave a card and the phone number on my order was listed as NJ and out of service. Issue 3: (3.5 hrs later) the electrician shows up (ARS is company name). He tells me that he CANNOT rewire it. Said that he had no idea what he was walking into b/c the installer never communicated any of the information necessary to do the job. He said there was water under the house, and the installer knew it b/c he had to look under there himself. He also said that they BOTH should have been together to go over the wiring BEFORE the install took place, due to instances just like this one. Also said that IF he did rewire (without help), he would have to put a hole in the wall and the floor to get the wire routed properly. Issue 4: I missed a FULL day of work due to the way things were improperly handled. Issue 5: The electrician asked why I purchased the water heater, then scheduled the install. I told him that I was going by what HD told me after the purchase. He said that they should have had me reach out to a HD contractor first because contractors supply the water heaters also. "It is a cheaper option because we get a discount for buying so many. That might be why they probably didn't do that. " (This being my first home & water heater purchase- they knew it and it put them at an advantage). Issue 6: He said that the installer should've been given me the 'option' to get another water heater to accommodate the current pull (for 3800 watts) BEFORE installation, and AFTER the electrician had the opportunity to look it over with him. He also said that since the installation shouldn't have been handled the way it was, I should take the tank back (after I get correct one), get a full refund by HD and Brother's Heating & Cooling for install and get another tank. But since the old tank was already disposed of, he didn't want me to be without hot water so he was going to just wire it as it is. He told me that he was going to be sure I was taken care of by finding a 3800 watt tank, so I wouldn't have to rewire it. Issue 7: I paid $385 for a service that was never provided. Issue 8: When the electrician left, we walked outside to find the deck scratched from the door to driveway. He said "I'm surprised this happened. He should've used a dolly." Well, obviously he didn't. He also sat the old tank down once on the deck, and again on the concrete driveway causing rust spots and stains. Also scratched the last board pretty good as it was dropped down. When walking back in the house, I noticed that the stone tile had also been scratched by dragging the tank. I couldn't believe it. Well, the electrician left me his card and told me that he would let me know when he found a 3800 watt tank and that I needed to contact HD for a full refund due to service and damages. When I went to see where he put the old water heater was, I found it in my flower bed. I contacted HD's Asst. Mgr., Jennifer, regarding the issues and damages stated above. She apologized several times, since Brother's Heating & Cooling in contracted through them. I told her I didn't feel that I should have to pay for an installation that technically shouldn't have been done in the first place, per the electrician. She said that she would put in a complaint and get back with me with a claim number. She called me back with a claim number and said that Brother's Heating & Cooling will be getting in touch with me regarding a solution within 1-2 days. Issue 9: Now 4 days later, I have still not heard from anyone. Issue 10: Currently, the water heater/install would not pass inspection due to the gauge of wire being to small for the tank. (NOTE: There were so many issues regarding service & install, that I may have left some things out. If/when I remember anything else, I'll be sure to add.) Desirable Resolution: I want a full refund for tank and installation. I also want the correct 3800 watt tank installed, my deck repaired and stains removed from my driveway (no charge).
vet discount
Went in to pick up a few things (Over 50.$ ) gave my id showing that i'm a vet and was told by women at counter that my id wouldn't do as it did not match the pictures of cards they accept, i guess the id's the va give to vets aren't good enough.Thats the only hd store i have ever had trouble with, i guess medina, ohio don't support this countrys vet's.Will never go back to that store. And if your a vet you'll not get anywere with them, i recommend boycott of them.
