Purchased wrong size of pressure treated wood and went back with a piece I had from a previous purchase to show what was needed. Was told that size not handled by Home Depot. Went to Lowes and found product size needed and purchased. When I went to the Home Depot on line site and funny thing, I found the size of the product I needed and the interesting thing was, there were 275 available. Mount Laurel New Jersey store. Samsung dishwasher appliance
On March 3, 2021 I was charged nearly $1000 for the Samsung dishwasher, delivery, installation, haul away. The item was not delivered, but rather dumped in front of the house without even a ring on the bell. We were prepared to work with the delivery company, the way they work. After that, Quick Contractors--the company that Home Depot hired to do the installation--did not show up 3 days to do the installations: March 10, March 11 and March 12. I spent countless hours with their contacts and did not get anywhere. Than the person who introduced himself to me as an "easy going" installer, admitted to me he had no plans to come at the time promised to us as he would attend to his family matters. We certainly understand his family needs, but were shocked to find out that he claimed we cancelled the appointment! Would we wait 3 days for hours and call more than 15 times; would we spend over 10 hours on hold to be insulted over and over again that somehow it is our own fault that the company cannot deliver, install and haul away an old appliance. When we tried to return the box dumped in front of the house, it took more than one call again. Outrageous experience. We used Home Depot for decades in the past, and were able to work out issues we considered humanly and normal. This is the first time we could not get resolutions and we will now purchase the appliance we need somewhere else.
Desired outcome: to avoid shady contractors in order to keep loyal customers

Roofing
My 84 year mother purchased a roof from Home Depot in September 2016. The roof starting leaking in December 2020. I called Home Depot to report the leak since the roof was still guaranteed, and they informed me that they no longer do roof. I would have to call Genpact and Sedgwick to proceed with my claim. Genpact was responsible for the damage outside of her house, and Sedgwick was responsible for the damage inside of her house. The leak was reported to Home Depot on 12/29/2020. On 1/8/2021, I spoke with someone from Sedgwick who stated that she was waiting for the report from Genpact. On 1/10/21, I left a message for the inspector at Genpact. He never returned my call. Finally on 1/27/2021, I called Genpact corporate office. During that call I found out that he was the only inspector in the West Coast. On 2/15/2021, the inspector came out and inspected my mother's roof. About a two days later, my mother received a letter denying her claim because the inspector couldn't find the leak. Based on that report, Sedgwick denied her claim also. After two months and no rain, it would be very difficult to locate a small leak. There is an obvious leak because there is interior damage to her house. I spoke to the inspector's supervisor on 2/17/2021, and he told me that my mother needs to locate a roof contractor's to find the leak and send a written estimate to him and they might approve it to be fixed. Home Depot pass the buck to a company who could care less about my mother's roof. This entire process has been frustrating and ridiculous.

Package delivery delayed by FedEx twice. Customer service rep was of no use and basically told me if I was unhappy useva different company.
I explained i was unhappy with their choice of delivery service. I've received deliveries from multiple companies in the last few days. Asked to not use that service for my future deliveries and notify FedEx of the problem.
Companies like Amazon credit you for inconvenience and make a notification in your account. Home Depot uses a customer service without any service. Completely and thoroughly disappointing.

installers couldn't disconnect a hose that maintenance came onsite to help. Installers refused then to install or haul old away, saying maintence can do it.
I paid for the install/haul away. After calling I had to "reschedule" a haul away for two weeks from now even though the installer had just left.
Wow, that is REAL customer service that was paid for. Two weeks of the washer sitting out in the hallway before than can come back and get it, even though they left without installing the product even though maintenance had resolved the issue.
Don't use Home Depot delivery. After I had made the purchase I heard horror stories, I should have cancelled it and bought from another provider. Angry lesson learned. Home Depot sucks and their "customer service" doesn't give a [censored] either.

I tried to apply online for the basic credit card from home depot. I filled in all the information and submitted it. I got a reply back saying the was a problem with my information and to call a number that was given. I called the number and spoke to a lady that informed me that their system was down and they couldn't update me at this time. They would contact me when the system came up.
I waited 2 days with no reply so I tried to re-apply for the card. I got the same information after submitting my information to call the number that was given to me. I called the number and was told that two applications had been filed. Then I got the same reply about you need to call back on another number and verify your information. This was right after I received two letters stating that they could not approve my application. The lady on the phone told me that a letter will be sent to me with information needed and I should call them back with the information. I am very concerned about your practice of using my social security number so freely and all my information. I must have given my SS number 10 times and even entered it on my phone. According to all this hassle you are putting me through the lady said it was for security issues. This is all BS and you are creating a security risk by the way your asking people to freely give out their information online and over the phone. I need to wait 3 to 7 days for this letter to arrive with the information they want me to call back in. I have read your reviews and now I wish that I never applied for your card. A rating of 3.5 is not good at all. I have excellent credit and have always paid my bills on time. I am very concerned about all my information being tossed all over the place. I will wait for the letter and see what BS they are asking for this time. For your information, My wife and I are always getting pre-approved loans of $10, 000.00 from Citi bank. Now you stating I can't get approved for a simple charge card. I hope I DO NOT SEE a credit hit on my credit score.
