Do not go to home depot on mccain blvd in north little rock, ar garden center. You have the rudest old lady in customer service you ever want to meet. No, wait, you don't want to meet. You will be looking stupid standing there for her to ask you if you need some help finding anything... This is what she says, "whadda you need"!
Verrrry hateful. I do not discriminate to no one. But when the other race came in, she literally broke her neck to assist them. Look, I spend my money just like they did and... Should've been treated equally. She is bad business for home depot. Lets get rid of the negative and rehire the positive
range
Went to the amsterdam ny home depot store on April 6th. Ordered and paid for a whirlpool 5 burner gas stove. Stove was delivered today and arrived without a propane converter and manual. I called and the manager is on the proverbial lunch hour. Customer care number isn't much help and we need the store managers approval to return it. Supposedly the conversion kit comes with the stove. I will never shop at home depot again.
carpet install
Purchased a carpet install from this location, 3 weeks ago. The carpet was special order. When received they damaged it. Had to wait another week. Then the carpet was received and we were notified by HD that they had it and the installer would call us to schedule a new installation. They never called, after waiting another week, we decided to call them, the installation company said they are booked up for the next month and can not fit us in. . . My wife is due to have our child next month and we explained that this would not be a good time. The installation company proceeded to tell me that they would gather a skeleton crew and try to get it done on a Saturday. He also mentioned that the crew would be upset as they don't work weekends...
All of this happened last week. Today, the Tuesday prior to the Saturday install that we were told would happen, we call to confirm and plan our weekend around this installation (Moving Furniture, putting pets up, keeping kids occupied). The installation company says we aren't scheduled.
I call HD cooperate installation line, they tell me there is nothing they can do about 'my problem' and rudely transfer me to the local store. I speak to the Flooring Dept. Manager, he calls the installer and calls me back and gives me the same damn run around. They will call and let us know.
Needless to say, this is the most unorganized installation I have ever been a part of, and WILL NOT, nor will I ever recommend or use HD Installation again.
Fair Warning to All.
bathtub order/pick up
We went to Home Depot on March 31st. We ordered a bath tub & paid in full that day. We were asked "what day would you like to pick it up?" We said monday 4/2. We were told that it would be ready. My husband went to pick it up on 4/2, we also live over an hour away from this homedepot. When he got there they told him nobody had ordered a tub for pick up that day. They assured us that they would place the order and it would be in by 4/6. We gave them until 4/9, and called to see if it was ready for pick up. They told us that it had failed to be ordered again. I find this service to be completly unacceptable. Somebody flat out failed to there job, & deserve a serious repremand if not more.
I sent an online 11% rebate
I sent a rebate on 2 wood bedroom doors for 11% . Steve Bromirski was an excellent employee and deserves commendation for his services. He explained to me that I can go home and apply for 11% rebate that Home Depot also allows. This was about 2-3 mos ago. I realized I never received so I chatted with someone by the name Nairby(sp) Mabel. This person said the date was wrong. It was sent by computer and should show the date I knew It need to be done at the same time Menards has there rebate. This person also typed that the 14 digit number was wrong. What a lost cause maybe I should have went to Menards to begin with. Thank you Mary Jones
Hi Mary.
Did you keep copies of everything offered for and submitted with the rebate?
Please note, if everything is already been addressed to your satisfaction, there is no need to reply.
dishwasher
5 visits scheduled. One dishwasher delivered but improperly installed. First scheduled visit to fix: no show. Second appointment to fix: no show. Third appointment - he arrived! But was missing a part. The notes on his work order mentioned nothing about the actual work required so he was not prepared. He said he would get the part and come the next day. This visit was not scheduled through Home Depot and of course he did not come. I called and was told he would come the next day (Saturday) I was called at 6:44 and told he would arrive in half an hour. I washed my face and got dressed. The dog and I waited. And waited. At 8 I sat by the front door because our doorbell is LOUD and I didn't want my husbands sleep disturbed. I called after another ten minutes or so. On their way! I was told. How long? I pressed. Twenty minutes. 10:30 I called again and was told he had come at 7:15 and no one was home. He knocked for 15 minutes and gave up. Um. No. First, we have a doorbell. And it is LOUD. And second I have a dog who gets real loud when anyone comes to the door. Now they are scheduled to come Tuesday. I don't even know what to think at this point. It's been a part time job here and I have spent several days wasted - a couple without a shower. Add to that the time I have spent on hold and I need to figure an hourly rate. The dishwasher might be very cheap indeed.
rude, unhelpful employees at ohio store
Lewis center, ohio, store on owenfield drive. Horrible the way they treat customers. Especially the flooring department — if there is even anyone nearby to ask, they make it clear that customers are nothing but an annoyance. The cashiers and the guys working in lumber are usually nice, but god help you if you want to buy windows, doors, hardware, or flooring. Today I needed to buy a piece of vinyl flooring, and after being ignored by the two older guys sitting at the desk, I politely asked for help "when you have a chance," but the guy didn't want to move a loaded pallet that was in the way of the rolls of flooring so he literally said he couldn't reach it so sorry. No suggestions of something else that might work, no suggestion that I come back after they got someone to move the pallet, nothing thigh. Just a "sorry" and he went back to his desk. I have been completely ignored while waiting to buy flooring several times (maybe because I am a woman?) but this is the first time they have actually refused to sell me something! Unbelievable.
I've spent tens of thousands of dollars in this store over the past decade, and their service has only gotten worse. I live super close to this store so I don't want to drive all the way to lowe's, but wow, it's awful. So frustrating.
credit card
I went to check my account on line and was told that my account was closed.i been using my credit card for about 15 years or more and now you treat me like crap.i have a problem every since I had to replace my first card and now this happens. I had to apply for a new card I hope I get approved if not im going else where.please fix this I would like to stay.it started out the store would always contact company to get approval. why is this.that is very embossing waiting in line to purchase an item and have to wait for store to approve it.i hope you can fix this. I really like shopping at home depot
veterans discount program
When I heard that you offered a discount to military veterans, I took a snapshot of my DD214 to use as proof of my military service. But, when I tried to use it. The lady at the checkout pulled out a big laminated flyer showing that you are only accepting certain ID's on certain days. And my DD214 is only allowed on weekends and holidays.
You should be ashamed of yourself. I didn't serve on just weekends and holidays. I showed proof that I was a military veteran but you refused the curtsy of a discount.
When I shop a Lowes, all I had to do was register with them and my phone number will now get me a military discount every time I'm at the checkout counter. Guess where I'm going to start shopping from now on. Lowes and Home depot are usually within a mile from each other. So I have choices. Lowes has shown me that my service is appreciated. Your policy is weak and I'm personally offended by it.
poor customer service rental clerk
Morning of 3-30-18 (6am) rented post hole digger for day. The rental clerk (tjg2597) was very grumpy, rude, and lazy towards me. Lacks personality and customer service skills. He was unwilling to key in my DL number into system. Insisted on using bar code reader for my llicense. Made me feel like I worked for him instead of he works for the customer. Guy is a real jerk. Might consider training your rental clerks with same customer service training as the rest of the great store associates that work there inside store. United Rentals will get my tool rental needs here forward. I will not rent again from store 6808.
Unsatisfied Customer,
countertop install
Ordered countertops and stated my deadline install was urgent from the beginning. Was promised a speedy install. The installer called me and could not tell me the delivery date of the product. They eventually talked to the distributor and let me know the countertops would be in and installed on Friday, March 30. I called them today to confirm and they told me that Home Depot should have called me and hung up. I did not get any information when I called home depot. The countertops guy, Chris then told me I would have to speak to his manager that was briefed on the issue. The manager, Jonathan then got on the phone and asked me what my name and info was to look up the order. He told me he didn't have any info and would have to call the installer to find out what was going on. I have not recieved any information and am expecting countertops to be installed on Friday.
hostile employee treatment
I was in the garden area yesterday 3/27/18, it was a beautiful day out and the garden area was very busy with customers shopping for plants. I noticed an employee coming thru on a forklift with a young man assisting her with barricades. The woman driving the forklift was verbally berating the young man for not moving quicker to assist her while he was being pulled many different directions with customers asking questions, even the cashiers needed him to answer questions about items for customers while Tiffany continued to march around, getting on and off the forklift and yelling for Joe to help her. It was very frustrating to see an employee who was working so hard get such hostile treatment from one of his coworkers who could have easily helped customers as well instead of acting like a complete [censor]! There were MANY people just like me who were made uncomfortable by this situation!
The woman on the forklift - short hair Tiffany (when I asked for her name from the cashier)
And the young man was Joe. Joe handled himself well, but was visibly frustrated due to the berating he continued to recieve by this woman during an entire hour of my shopping trip there.
When I left the area I called the store manager to report this situation. It's really not fun as a shopper to be out spending hard earned money and have employees acting like this.
Please recognize Joe for being pleasant thru this and continuing to be professional while his co worker did little to help! What a [censor] Tiffany IS!
Probably will shop Lowe's until I forget about this :/
Thank you for your attention to this matter

very rude service
I was shopping at store 2558 Monday March 26th. I was trying to locate a pair if wire cutters and I came across an employee by the name of Alyssa she told me which isle to go to find the item. I still could not find the item and spotted her agian and asked her to show me. She rolled her eyes and very impatiently showed me where they were located and walked away. I understand that sometimes you are busy or simply having a bad day but customer service should be number 1. I was so irrated with the way I was treated I left the store did not finish my shopping and have no plans to ever return to that store agian.
customer service
I have a few complaints:
1) I was told I would not be charged for kitchen refacing until 24 months no interest. I was charged in advance, but situation was resolved. (around 2/2018)
2) I spoke with Kristen (800-986-2177) who worked with me on the installation appointments. She was the most aggravating person I have ever worked with. She made me want to cancel entire order! Most of the problem was because I was told certain things would occur by original people taking my order, and when I spoke with her things changed. Some of the issues were not her fault, but in speaking with her to schedule the kitchen work I found her annoying and I was glad when the working with her was over. I am sure she is equally glad she no longer has to speak with me as well. All the stress and aggravation she caused I did however like the work done by the installers. (around 2/2018 - 3/2018)
2) I purchased 2 items online on 2/18/18 (order #W819438522). A range hood and dishwasher. For the dishwasher, I purchased installation for $99 and $15 to have old dishwasher hauled away.
The items were delivered as promised. The gentleman told my daughter on 3/1/18 that he could not hook up dishwasher until after the plumber turned water back on. (I was called on the phone while man was delivering the dishwasher). The man gave my daughter this phone number (661-770-6044) and he told us both that once the plumber turned on the water, he would come back and connect the dishwasher and haul away the old one. Once the work was completed, I called the man a few days after for over 2 weeks to get dishwasher installed and no one ever answered the phone and there was no voicemail connected for me to leave a message. I finally decided to have someone else come and install the dishwasher. I have called several #'s trying to get refund for dishwasher installation and hauling. Each time I have been put on hold for long periods of time, I have had to call multiple times only to be told for the 5th time, I have to keep calling back because the person who delivered dishwasher said he took old dishwasher. I have multiple pictures I took on 3/5/18 with the old dishwasher still installed (for proof if needed) that shows he did NOT take old dishwasher on 3/1/18. Mistakes are made but I don't feel that I should have to keep calling back when I did not create the error. I was told today that I need to call back yet again in 3 days.
towing
Is it Home Depot's policy to tow cars parked in their lot less than 12 hours?! I met an employee of mine and parked their car in the Home Depot lot and was surprised to come back to find it towed. I was not aware that parking there was not allowed, as there were not signs posted on any of the light posts or anywhere that we could see. Otherwise, we would have found somewhere else. A $250 lesson learned. But disappointed that it was in such a short amount of time, without warning!
military discount
I am a contractor and also a Veteran. I was at my local store #1837 today and was told by the cashier that she would not accept my drivers license which states veteran on it to get the discount. I have never had a problem before. She also said that it is only given basically to disabled veterans and also on holidays. Then I went to speak to a manager who then told me that my license doesn't qualify and that I needed a special card from Home Depot in order to get the discount. I can assure you that you have just lost a valued customer and contractor who spends over $100, 000 a year. I am also going to send a letter to my local media and congressman and let them know how I was treated. It is a shame that your company would treat veterans like this. I will also be letting my local VFW post know this information.
reject a return that was promised ok to return for full refund.
Bought a LG refrigerator from Home Depot Glenview, IL and it was delivered on January 26th which was the day I left to out of town. My contractor accepted the delivery on behalf of me. When I back in town in two weeks after the refrigerator was delivered, I realize the refrigerator-size was smaller than what I needed. We contacted the store right away asking whether the store will accept the return. The store policy is appliance must be returned within 48 hours after the delivery. Not hearing from the store return call on our request, I drove one hour to the store and check with the customer service. I showed them the order receipt and the customer service type in the order information and confirmed I can either get full credit or full refund as long as it is never been used. I double check with the customer service about be able to do the return, and he reconfirmed with "yes". I return the refrigerator 4 days after I spoke to the in-store customer service, and shockingly they said "NO". Is it the way Home Dept run their business?
Hi.
Appreciate hearing your concerns. Did you, per chance, get anything in writing through the customer service group or management?
did not order vinyl flooring that I purchased.
My wife and I purchased a piece of vinyl flooring on March 7, 2018 at store#3814. We were told it would take 7 to 10 working days to arrive. I checked on it on March 17 and I was told it would be in the store on March 21 We went to the store on the evening of March 21 and were told it was on the truck that just arrived we could pick it up on March 22. We went back to the store on the afternoon of March 22 and was told it was not at the store they would E-Mail us a tracking # which they did not do. I called the Home Depot office thought they could help. After going thru 3 different list of options I finally got to speak to a gentleman named Joe. He asked if I could hold for 3 to 6 minutes which I did. Coming back on the line he told a supervisor was checking on the order did I want to hold or he could call me back. I said to call me back which he never did. After a two hour wait we received an E-Mail the vinyl would be shipped March 22. Poor business!
service
On 3/21 at 1945 I was in the home depot in New smyrna fl. I kinda had an emergency I needed to deal with b4 morning. I needed a chain saw..pressure washer..pole saw and a few little items. Well the issue is I waited 30 min for 2 employees that were working in the isles I needed. They had it blocked off for safety reasons..which I understand. I asked the spotter how long will the isles be shut down cause I need stuff out of both isles. He told me past close...why would you shut down 2 main isle for 2 hrs when there are customers that need stuff? I'm not saying this like other customers but I run a real estate flipping company and a non profit for homeless vets and spend alot..i mean alot of money at home depots..not to include my personal stuff. We really needed stuff out of those isles tonight to make inspection b4 noon the next day.
I wanted to make you aware of this and know I know not to rely on home depot when it comes to deadlines and or emergency
plumbing contractor through you pro service
I recently spent over 400.00 dollars at your north canton store for a new Delta faucet for my tub. I asked and was given a name of a pro repair service technician to install it. I was quoted and paid the hourly rate only to find out that 4 hours later the person said you know I don't understand this and left. THe job was far from finished the plumbing was capped off the water was dripping and now I am stuck having to call a regular plumbing contractor to repair all my plumbing that he destroyed and to hopefully do something with my bathtub. I believe that since I contracted through and paid this so called professional that you should be responsible for this bill. IAm pretty sure I won't hear back there are other means to get recourse for this problem created by your store .
