The hooters I worked at was so out of wack. There were always flies around the bar. The sani buckets and fruit were never labeled with expiration dates/times unless we knew someone from the health dept was coming in. The girls were lazy. There were so many managers coming and going that I don't even know how many different ones I had. I worked there for around 7 months. I even got second degree burns while working (which I'm looking into sueing). The managers didn't care about our personal lives and would schedule us outside of our availability and then write us up when we couldn't come in. I had never been written up before I worked at the Troy, MI Hooters. I actually got fired today because I couldn't work last Saturday and told them as soon as the schedule came out and even requested that night off weeks prior. They are so understaffed and are rude to the girls who try hard. I will never work at a hooters and will never recommend working at one to anyone. RJ was a massive jerk of a GM and I have never hated a manager more than I hated him.
improper discharge
Hi my name is Holly Enos.
I am a former Hooters girl of Shrewsbury.
I have been a hooters girl for a year as i loved it.
Recently, Hooters of Shrewsbury got a new General Manager named Ryan Caranci. On July 16, 2017 Ryan Caranci fired me with no valid reasoning.
Before Mr.Caranci became GM, I have had no problems with management. During the time of Mr.Caranci's GM employment, I received two or three written warnings that were specifically stated "not go against me" as I was attending summer classes and was being scheduled on days I was not able to be on time (AS THEY WERE AWARE).
I am writing this complaint due to the unprofessionalism he performed.
On July 15, 2017 I was late to work and apologized for this action and Mr.Caranci told me "we do not need you, you can go home." So, as I was demanded I did not argue and I left. I was scheduled to work the following day July 16. I arrived to my shift as the first hooters girl and began to open the store and set up stations. When another girl arrived, I was called to the office. Mr.Caranci had another hooters girl witness my discharge as he knows by the rules stated that there needs to be another manager to fire an employee. Also, Mr.Caranci did not have any of my paystubs ready during this time. It has been roughly two weeks and I have yet to receive my paystubs. I was not given a final warning up to my discharge. I told Mr.Caranci that before he was an employee at Hooters of Shrewsbury I worked every snowstorm, stayed later when asked, and would come in whenever I was called. Another note to add, a girl had quit on the spot and there were roughly 6 tables that I had to take over while serving my own tables. I have worked so hard and have put my all into Hooters of Shrewsbury as a dedicated hooters girl and I am not going to let this go so easy. I loved working for Hooters and I loved being a Hooters girl, and unfortunately Mr.Caranci has ruined that for a dedicated and hard-working hooters girl.
customer care
I am here tonight... Have been waiting on a table for 2 hrs. An employee that works here off duty came in and immediately got a table... I am disappointed in the service and expect changes from corporate... I will return next week and hope for change... Hooters, augusta, ga, Washington road... Store 1127. It is very discouraging to wait this long and not receive a table... And watch as employees off duty receive seats ahead of customers without an employee discount... This hurts the business' bottom line and profits for your company as a whole. Customer care should be a hallmark of your company ethics and today I have seen it drop to a new low. Hopefully this can be fixed or I will definitely remove our company as an approved site for per deim nationwide... That is a promise.
service/food
My family and I visited the Hooters in Beckley, WV. The experience was TERRIBLE! To start, the restaurant was so cold my kids had to go to the car to get a blanket. When we checked with the manager (large woman with purple curly hair). We were told that the temperature "feels good to us" then later in the conversation she stated that only the "GM has the ability to change it". Then, as our server, Tasha? Sits with two other servers and two gentlemen the manager with purple hair brought our food. My children's sandwiches and fries were cold and the chicken on our salads were cold. When we got the manager's attention to tell her about the cold food she said, "ok" and walked away. Half way through the meal our server checked on us, we said were waiting for new fries for the girls. She did go get us new fries... The manager never came back and we paid $80.00 for one of the worst meals we have ever eaten... No wonder the stores in Columbus Ohio have closed...We will never step foot in a Hooters again.
management

customer service/rude manager
We went to the Hooters in Winston Salem. We waited 25 mins for our beers (all in bottles) there was maybe 30 people there period. So, they weren't busy! Then wanted us to order dinner and had not even given us menus. We ordered a round of Lemon Drop shots.. took 30 mins and us asking 3 times. We got out our meal before the shots. The shots were straight vodka.. not a lemon drop.. when I spoke to the manager about it all he said was sorry. The service was horrible with no concern... the manager was rude when I talked to him about it. I will never go there again. But the complete lack respect and concern needed to be reported.
service
I just visited the hooters in Huntsville Alabama and it was the worst experience I have ever had. I had to get up and walk to the well to ask for a drink and food because both of the bartenders were on there phone with the manager present. I have been a bartender for years so I completely understand service that's not up to par but there were 4 other people at the bar and they were back there waving there phones around, and drinking behind the bar. I was very disappointed and won't be back. We also had a couple sitting at a table behind us that couldn't get service as well and when they asked for drinks, the server was very rude.
disregard for safety
On july 3, 2017 media was reporting an active shooter at the mall in north charleston, sc. Hooter's is in the same parking lot as the mall. The manager was advised of the shooting and that the shooter was on the run in the immediate area. The manager refused to lock the doors for both staff and patron safety. He was overheard saying "because I don't give a [censor]" when asked why he would not lock the doors.in this day and age, I believe this is a complete and total disregard for safety. Does hooter's management staff not have an active shooter protocol in place? This is a safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately.
dog barking in the restaurant
My wife takes me to Hooters for some wings on my birthday. I was craving wings. I was disappointed when a small dog was in the restaurant. I love dogs, but my opinion is, they do not belong in any food establishments. The dog would not stop barking the whole time. Not one employee thought this was wrong because no one addressed the owner. The dog was still barking when I left without eating.
management
As an employee I bring up other employees not properly doing their job and the g.m. said " I don't care who is not doing their job if food need to be ran to a table I'll just run it" then told me if I bring this up again she would fire me. Since Steve was transferred away to another store from being our g.m. I've noticed the new g.m. just seems to not care about her kitchen staff
order for 100 wings retirement party
Order wings for Retirement party to b picked up by 2:45pm. On the 6-28-17. Placed order on 6-27-17 @3:15pm. Was at Hooters on 6-28-17 @ 2:45pm the order slip hanging on shelf and cashier Alyssa said oh yes here is order charged me for the 100 wings 90.89 went back to get wings comes back to tell me they're getting them ready 10 min go by and I asked her what happened r they just making this order. She said well I don't know I asked for manager. Will and then Stephane came out to tell me they did not think it was a real order. I asked about the order slip I saw when I came in with my name on it. Larry date 6-27-17 Stephanie said oh well we did think that was a real order because there was no phone number on it. I need these wings to b dropped off a a retirement party by 3:15 the wings weren't even out till3:40. Stephanie was so rude a degrading tell me they would never take an order like that with out a phone number and b paid for in advanced. I did give the girl a phone number and she gave me price and confirmation of order. Stephanie said there is no way of telling if it was a actually order if it was not out in managers book. So I made this all up u take 90.89 then tell me there was no order but r making wings now. This was so unprofessional and no one is accountable for there actions there I was made to feel like I. Some off the street and made this whole store up. You need to check on this franchise it is so unprofessional and it's dirty. Dirty menus floors and untrained cashiers taking orders I made sure all the construction workers who where attending this party in Oak lawn Illinois suburb off Chicago was aware of this ordering at your restaurant. Larry Schiavone 10429 S Lamon Ave OAK LAWN ILLINOIS 69453. So disappointed in your restaurant.
ignored and disappointed
Last night (June 26, 2017 approx. 9-9:30pm), My wife, granddaughter and myself arrived at the Hooter's located at 9183 E. Roosevelt Blvd. where we always go. We've had some bad service experiences previously at this location but, it was for reasons out of their control such as short-handed (call outs, etc.). This time we sat at a booth next to what appears to be a celebration for someone's birthday approx. 10 people at grouped tables. Other than that party the restaurant was pretty empty. We sat and watched servers walk around, even one I watched standing around in the side kitchen area. After about 15 minutes of no one approaching or even acknowledging us, I asked the server that was serving the party next to us if anyone was handling the area where we were sitting and she stated oh, we just changed shifts and in "rotation"? She also stated she will find our server. I saw her speak to another server in the side kitchen area, they looked out in our direction and that was it, she never came out to us. This was another 10 minutes gone by when the server who was busy with the party came back to us and gave us menus and my granddaughter a kid's mat w/crayons, she then went to attend the party she was serving. So, we waited some more until I became infuriated and walked up to the side kitchen door and asked the service who was hanging out there to please have her Mgr. come out. I went back to table and stood next to it and awaited a Mgr. who never appeared for another 5 mins. I gathered my family and as we were leaving out the door a server arrived to the table in front of where we were and another couple had just sat and began to give them menus and talk to them! Out of all the many times we visited this restaurant I don't think we ever had that server so I didn't think it was personal, . Besides, if we had she would have been delighted...we always tip 20% or more! Was this a case of profiling from the servers as to who decides they want to wait on my family? I was truly disappointed by this experience. We left and drove up the boulevard (approx. 1-1/2 blocks) to Buffalo Wild Wings and had an enjoyable meal with great service, they too were not very busy! This is how a company lose valuable customers to the competition and I don't have to tell you how word of mouth hurts a business.
I request you check the cameras for the times I gave you for last night and see how long we waited and how no one ever acknowledged us until I asked the busy server and how the Mgr never came out while we were there and the server coming over after we already headed for the door and start helping the newly arrived couple!
I would like a reply after your investigation please;

product
Ordered a Togo order. Only live 5 min away from our local hooters. The fries were old or must of been sitting out for a while. The wings were not drained and smothered in grease some were gooey and little pink inside. There was no offering for any sauces completely rushed out. It looked as if the front desk girl could not multitask. All concluded. Very unsatisfied
attitude
On Saturday, June 17, 2017 I had been sitting in traffic for an extended time as I drove from Mobile back to Jefferson County. The trip was exhausting. I usually stop at this location of Hooters because it is on my route home. I ordered 10 buffalo shrimps, 10 smoked lemon pepper wings, and 15 Daytona wings. Once the order came back I checked it. I had no shrimp. I told the server/bartender I had no shrimp and I did not order buffalo wings. She began to debate with me on the order. She went to the manager and he immediately ordered the shrimp and once they were prepared he brought them to me. The young lady had a very bad attitude. She did not come back to me with a corrected receipt or look my way. The manager had to assist me. I left her a tip and put a happy face on it. She is too young to have such a bad attitude. I really believe it was racially motivated because another young lady in there ran up to me once I walked toward the bar and asked what is it I need? I was the only ethnic person in the restaurant being serve. For the record I come to this restaurant at least once a month. My visits will change because of yesterday.
manager and staff
We got to Hooters at 11:05-11:10 more or less I asked what time did they close they said at 12:00 and I said if we could come in and order she said yes so we ordered I had to repeat my self like 3 times (3 mile) because i saw her paper and it said (mile) so i kept saying (3 mile) we asked for kids waters they dint have kids waters they brought us our food with NOT 3 mile not only that we had asked for all drums and they weren't all drums I asked for some buffalo shrimp and they also had the wrong sauce I asked for the fries seasoned they weren't seasoned plus they we're cold and old they brought me back the same wings just kinda diped on the 3 mile sauce I asked them to re make them they did they took for ever to bring them I asked them to put them to go they weren't breaded lime we had asked them and the sauce was just pored on top of the wings not completely not only that they over changed us the manager did not do nothing to keep us happy (it was a white girl ) we had to asks her 3 times to at least give us a discount and she did but all of them were very rude when we were walking out the door I heard one of the waitress mimicking me what I was saying to the manager. They were solo very rude also their was a family siting their before us and they also had a complain they ended up leaving without paying nothing because I believe their food was also cold, but very terrible experience this happened on the Hooters in Odessa tx with the white Girl manager dint get a chance to get her name I would really appreciate it if this would not happened again all them waitress and unprofessional manager in the night shift laughing while that family left mad and unsatisfied very rude I really hope they so get in some kind of trouble so they won't ever do that nonsense again!
unprofessional staff and manager-waldorf, d
Last was supposed to be a fun night with my recently graduated younger brother and a friend. Enterting the location we stood at the door for over 15 mins without being acknowledged. When we finally just grabbed a waitress she said give her a few moments. A few moments turned into another 5 mins without her coming back. Wednesdays are the all you can eat wings night and last night the NBA finals were on. I counted about 3 waitress and two people at the bar. The manger was standing on the side having conversation the entire time we were standing there. One of the waitress yelled accross the store asking Ashley to help with the guests because she was just sitting down having conversation with a table which also was going on the entire time we were standing there. It was at that point the manager decided to come to us and asked us how many people. I stated 3 people and he then went to the table beside us and started having conversation with them. I promptly left. I've been coming to this location and been very happy for the last 3 years and in this one night watching how under staffed and unprofessional everyone was from top to bottom I will no longer go to this location. I rather drive the 45 mins extra to go to another place. A night of fun turned into us searching for another place to eat at that time of night.
unethical behaviour
I went today to the Hooters in the Doral location in Miami. I've gone there multiple times and I've had a great experience except for today's. My father asked for a cup of water without ice and lemonade and the waitress responded "I only have two hands" and was very snappy and rude. Then she asked another waitress to come take care of our table. The rude waitress was with her apparent boyfriend right in front of us and kept on giving everyone at the table dirty looks. She would visit a table here and there and go back to hug and kiss the guy. When we ordered a pitcher she almost gave my 14 year-old daughter a cup of beer. Whenever we asked for something it would take 30 minutes for the order to arrive when we noticed that other tables would get it within minutes ordering. I am very disappointed with the customer service at Hooters. I don't know the waitresses name but she has long blonde hair with a few black extensions in her hair. She has dark eyes and a light/medium skin tone. She appeared to be Cuban.
sick *contagious* waitress but forced to work or would be fired
So, the funny thing is my girlfriend works there, and She IS SICK! She went into work today, because she said "she would be FIRED otherwise."
Because she was obviously sick, and probably contagious, she thought that they would send her home. But instead, because of the managers poor planning/scheduling when she went in, he said that 2 girls had worked doubles and if she left then there would be only 1 girl so she couldn't leave.
SOOO... lets analyze, The manager would rather let a sick, and probably contagious girl work **AND SERVE FOOD!***, INSTEAD OF Picking up the phone, and actually do his job! By calling some of the other waitresses, and see if someone could come in.
Basically, This business is more concerned about the $ than the fact that they could really be putting loyal innocent customers in a position of getting sick!
Because I don't want my Girlfriend to get fired because of this businesses stupid and irresponsible decisions, sadly I am not going to list the Location or Manager's name. Because they could easily find out who's boyfriend complained, and I am sure then they would fire her. But I will tell you it is in TX.
So if you ate at a Hooters in TX on May 27th-28th, 2017 and you got sick, If my girlfriend served you, I AM SOOOOOO SORRY! I BEGGED HER TO WALK OUT ON THAT PLACE BECAUSE CLEARLY THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU.
You can blame it on this business that clearly doesn't care about their customers health, and would rather risk the health of customers, than risk making a little less $ and protecting the customers.
Good Luck! I really Hope she is not contagious! I really hope that this STUPIDITY doesn't make a innocent person into a victim.
Good Luck, and if you eat there from now on, inspect the waitress, and make sure she doesn't look sick, because apparently they have to work, sick or not.
I really hope they're better regarding sick COOKS in the kitchen, But I'm sure they're not.
hooters
I would like to complain about how it has taken over one week to have a call back with my complaint. I had a birthday last Sunday and ordered several items everything was perfect. The only order that was not ok were the wings out of 50 we had a few wings that were not fully cooked, I just threw them out. I was very busy and decided to call next day spoke to a lady that stated she would call me back once she found my order. On Thursday I called back and spoke to a Mr. York, he as well never even called me back. I have pictures., I am not looking for any compensation just feel that perhaps you might have other complaints that there is a problem cooking there wings.
I am over this and will not be visiting hooters again.
