Etsy suspended my shop without any valid reason and has ignored my repeated appeals with automatic replies! As a new seller, I have always followed Etsy’s policies and my account was only accessed from Turkey/Ankara. Yet, Etsy refuses to explain which policy I allegedly violated.
Etsy is treating independent sellers unfairly. They shut down my shop without explanation and ruined all my hard work.
I demand a human review of my account suspension.
Etsy must provide a clear explanation of the policy violation.
If Etsy refuses to address this, I will escalate the issue to other platforms.

Etsy is infamous for closing stores without explanation and ignoring any appeals. The automated replies are proof that they do want to check your case. If they cannot or will not give you a real explanation for your shop not being active, then simply take your business elsewhere. Lodge a complaint with known consumer protection offices, alert others on different social media channels, and shift to other sites that genuinely cater to freelance sellers. Don't waste time hoping to hear back from Etsy's customer service — this is a dead end.
Thank you for your response. My complaint will remain permanently on this platform and others unless Etsy resolves this issue. I will also continue to send emails regularly and raise awareness on LinkedIn and other platforms about Etsy’s unfair treatment of sellers.
Whether they choose to fix this or not, my experience will stay as a warning to others. I can always sell on another platform, but I will make sure that throughout my professional career, I warn others about Etsy’s arbitrary store closures. Many sellers have already faced similar issues, and it’s only getting worse.
Etsy has great potential, but it is being managed in an unacceptable way. The CEO should step down, as this level of mismanagement is damaging the platform’s reputation and trust among sellers.
