I went and had my hair colored at the JC penny salon in Southaven Mississippi yesterday July 6, 2018. I wanted to go blonde. When I left the salon my hair was orange and I had multiple chemical burns on my head. I was charged almost $100 to have my hair done. I told one of the stylist that I felt like my scalp was burning and she looked and said it was just the menthol in the coloring product. I ended up going to a different stylist to have my hair corrected from the orange color. I still have horrible scalp burns which are very painful and I ended up buying a product to help with the chemical burns.

I ordered a sofa, love seat and chair - order number 1674611
I was told it would be delivered on June 29th between 1-3 pm.
They arrived at 6:55 pm. I was prepared for being held hostage for my afternoon but not my evening. This is totally unacceptable. I took off from work and also missed dinner with friends. The men who delivered the furniture were polite.
However, the sofa had two tears in the leather upon arrival. See attached photos
The recliner was missing the power supply necessary for it to recline.
We were told that we would be contacted about a replacement sofa. Does that mean I must endure another day in which I must take personal time off wondering when my furniture will arrive?
As far as compensation, 15% off and have the replacement sofa to be delivered the first stop in the morning would be nice.

Its been over a month we place a order for a set of mattress we have been told every week now we are going to get a delivery and every week on the day it suppose to be delivered it's always some excuse they forgot they dont have it it's always something we were told yesterday they gaurantee us we would have it today. Now we are told the delivery driver has had a bad allergic reaction. Very disatisyfied with the service we have been given and all they say is i'm sorry what do you want us to do.

I have been buying the same jeans for 10 years and the last eight pair have torn just inside the back pocket within a couple of months. The first 4 pair I tossed in the trash and now I have 3 more pair that are doing the same thing. Four were relaxed straight flex and 3 are original straight. From reading he other complaints that are identical in nature it seems as though it would be in your best interest to compensate these matters.

I purchased a watch at J C Penneys in Jackson TN. It needs a new battery so I go back to the store I purchased it from (JC Penney). The lady informed me she did not have a battery and would not be getting one. This is ridiculous, you gladly sell watches but yet if you need a battery they won't get one.
Why, do you sell a product you won't service. She tells me the only other place I could get a battery was another jewelry store. I bought the watch there!

I want to so the JCPenney‘s sephor in Fultondale Alabama on 07/20/18. I went to buy about $1000 for products. And I don't to do this from time to time. And when I go in a young lady by the name of Jennifer always help me I ask for her that day and they informed me that she No longer works inside of Sephora That she works at the jewelry counter. I was not satisfied with the associates that was in there and there was no help.Did not know the first thing about skincare or the product. I was very unsatisfied and I did not buy thing. I went to get glasses last year in Evansville ind on green river road. and they cannot put my len in my frames right been going though this for a year. need help and my wife lens in her frames not always in frames.We paid good money to get glasses that lens is in correct . all she say is that the best she can do . If she cant do them I need some one that can .

I was shopping at the Dulles Towne Center in Dulles VA. I went specifically for a strapless bra but of course $5 & $9.99 signs caught my eye.
I searched the lingerie section for nearly 30 mins with no one in sight to assist me. Approached a worker who could NOT speak any English, thus unable to understand please get someone to help me in the lingerie section. Needless to say another 15 mins goes by. I then have to walk all the way to the front of the store to a cashier that said she would send someone to help me. That help never came. Later when I get to the register I asked what happened, she said she searched the website and can you believe she said JCPENNEY DOES NIT sell strapless bras. Next she rings my things, shirts I got off of the 9.99 rack rang at $12.99 & $14.99. When I disputed the transaction and showed her the sign and rack, she fought the issue. My response, just get a manager, gentleman comes goes to the rack and sale the shirts belong to a rack in a different section. The best part is the refused to adjust the price and then removed all of the shirts off the rack. Thank God for technology! I already had taken a picture.
Awesome sale, great prices worst service I've seen in years.

Placed an order on 6/13/18 so I could have my granddaughter's clothes delivered before 6/22/18. On 6/19 I still hadn't rec'd a shipping confirmation. I went on the website and tracked the order. It was in 2 packages. The first one said it was delivered 6/15/18. I never rec'd the package. I called customer service and was told I need to wait to receive the 2nd package because they didn't know what was in each package? WHAT? I had the tracking numbers and I knew what was in that package. So I asked if after I called with the 2nd package rec'd (hasn't yet arrived) will they be able to make sure I have my order by Friday 6/22/18. I was told No. I was offered no help what so ever and I gotta tell you I'm pretty upset right now.

Very upset. Placed a 100.00 order on 6/16/18 with the promotion for rewards points of 10.00. Order still not received and am told I wont get my rewards because the promotion period is over. ITS NOT MY FAULT order was not shipped out on time. Why should I lose my rewards dollars. Terrible customer service (Flynn). Never heard of such a policy. Its fraud. I will be contacting corporate.

I placed A $600 order the address was put in wrong on my confirmation so I called to change it they said they had to cancel my order and reprocess another one but nobody was doing that I was on hold for 2 1/2 hours on one morning often on it took up for hours of my morning and they canceled the order then went to replace it and my card only has $1000 limit so it wouldn't except it and the refund was in process on it But they couldn't get it expedited or quick quickly done so I didn't end up purchasing it because nobody would help me nobody had any answers or tried to get any solution then somebody called me a day to days later and couldn't speak English and I told him to cancel my card forever I will not be shopping with Jc pennys anymore So for people from JC pennies couldn't figure it out hung up on me or left me on hold and I think it's absolutely ridiculous that there was nobody above back to take care of this with the right answers or solutions I think you need somebody that knows what they're doing in those positions and I think your customer service and the credit department all suck because nobody gave me any options to do anything! I will tell everybody I know plus some because I do you hair how awful JCPenney's is !

I am a JC Penney rewards customer who went into the store today looking for a pair of slacks for my teenage daughter for camp. This was our final stop after shopping for hours, but I was confident that I would be more successful in finding the navy blue pants that I wanted. Fatigue and with sore feet I made my way to the back end of the store to juniors where I was immediately pleased to find a table of Arizona slacks on a table marked 50-70% off. My daughter reluctantly tried them on as they were they were the 10th pair she tried on today and low and behold they fit! It was a win, win situation. I waited in line with the pants, only to find out that the pants were apparently not marked down as the sign noted. I explained to the associate that there were lots of pants on the table where the sign was and asked would the clearance price be honored? She said she would go look at the sign and came back with an additional pair of pants that was also on the table that was marked clearance. She then proceeds to call her manager stating that she was not certain what to do, as both pants marked and not marked to reflect the sale sign shared the table. The manager comes over and scans the pants saying one is clearance and the ones I wanted were on a different buy one get one sale. I proceeded to again ask if the store honored the price as marked on the table. Without looking at me the manager stated the price/sale difference of the pants, then walks away. No one answers my question and the associate goes on to ask if I want the pants. In frustration, I say no one answered me and I decline. All I wanted was an answer, an apology that the pants were in the wrong place and respect for the time that I loss due to the negligence of the store. I GOT NOTHING! NO APOLOGY, NO PANTS, NO ASSISTANCE TO HELP FIND MAYBE THE SAME PANTS I WANT AT THE CLEARANCE PRICE, NOTHING! It was a VERY disappointing shopping experience and I am shocked that JC Penney did not do better!
I went to J.C. Penney in Shreveport today and spent an hour picking out some clothes for my Grandson. After waiting in line for at least 20 minutes while the one cashier they had on duty was busy helping a lady ahead of me with 3 items I was going to use my spend $25.00 save $10.00 that was a J.C. Penney coupon on retail me not. The cashier told me they didn't accept coupons from retail me not. I said well are there any coupons on the store app. available and she told me no. Now I saw her on the cell phone with the lady in front of me so I assumed she was scanning a coupon. Anyway I just told her I didn't want the clothes and left. When I got home I brought up the J.C. Penney app and the same coupon that was on retail me not was available. I don't understand why the store won't accept the coupons from retail me not as it is still the same coupon. Also the cashier should have been helpful and offered to check the app. for coupons and she should have known that there were coupons available. Customer service was lacking in this employee. She was the only one working the register and it was between 3 and 3:30 P.M.
home blinds
I paid $196 for 2 blinds on May 21. I was told the order is delivered in 2 weeks. It has been almost 4 weeks with no word from the JC Penny store in Germantown Wisconsin. I phoned them today and they replied that they have no idea why the item hasn't s hipped or even if it was produced for me. When I asked to cancel the non existent order, I was told by the salesperson that they have no way to cancel it, but if I ever get it, I could return it to the store. There is no way I want theoretical blinds any more, I could have gotten these weeks ago from any number of local stores. I t hink it is ridiculous to say they cant cancel an order that in all likelihood doesn't exist. Some nonsense about orders being lost by Levilor when they rebooted their system. Also that Levilor doesn't return their phone calls. I have ordered blinds from JC Penny in the past, and this present experience is not one to remember. Each time I call the local JC Penny stsore where I ordered this, I get a different answer to the same question. "Oh we don't know about your past orders as that was custom and through jcpenny.com" Speaking to a different employee the answer is "here is the old information, I don't know why the other person said it was not retrievable." I am not waiting 6 months for blinds POSSIBLY to arrive and then return them for a refund ! I want my money back immediately or I may call my credit card to call this entire fiasco a fraudulent and unauthorized transaction.

There were 2 people near me thinking they could stop in and quickly pick up their online order... was not happening.

I ordered a mattress and box spring on May 28 and paid in full via pay pal. I was told I would be advised of delivery by June 6. I waited and waited and check phone messages and e-mail all day every day. I have called customer service twice to check. The first time was told just wait (this was June 10 and that a call would come) - no call came and I called again June 13 and was told Non Stop Delivery had my order and had tried to call twice. I did not receive any messages on phone or email. The girl kept telling me they had called - again I said I have no messages or emails - and you only call twice when you have a delivery and just give up? She told me to call them well that's a joke. They never pick up saying all personnel busy - I have left two messages, one e-mail to them and one request for a call back and still nothing. Hello my name is Chelsea Sanders I live in Ventura California I went to the JCPenney's that is inside the Pacific view mall the address is 377 S. Mills Rd., Ventura, CA 93001 I was shopping around 8 o'clock in the evening I made two large purchases as I was leaving I was stopped by to older women for no reason they said they needed to look through my bags. And of course I was very caught off guard and ask them why they said they did not need to tell me and to follow them they took me to a register where there was a lot of other shoppers around they pulled out all of my items and went through every single thing that I had and made sure that it was on the receipt at the end of this embarrassing situation. I had of course everything purchased and recorded on the receipt I was so embarrassed I did not even get a Sorry from them they treated me like I was trash considering I have been a JCPenney's credit card holder for eight years And I spend a lot of money either inside the store or online once I got to my vehicle as I am in tears I was looking through my items and they forgot to put two things back inside my bag I am so horrified and upset that I'm not going to even go back in To retrieve the items that I paid for what I went through is possibly the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life and honestly it's not worth the $80 that I'm out I honestly don't know if I'm going to continue being a JCPenney's credit card holder or shop with you guys anymore I hope you guys do something to make this right. condition of store/lack of basic customer service

First the good news--I am a relatively new JCP shopper. Right after the store was redone, I went shopping there and was very happy with the store and selection--I said I would now prefer JCP over Macy's. Not anymore. I visited this store yesterday and will never go back. Clothes and clearance racks everywhere--like trying to pack 5 lbs of sausage in a 1 lb sausage liner. Stuff everywhere---staff? Stocking even more stuff everywhere. Cashiers? Good luck. My friend and I picked up items in the women's department and went to cash out. Cash register closed, but surrounded with at least 6-8 staffers stocking. A sign said go to kids or Juniors. Where was that? Your guess is as good as mine. After finally walking to the entire other end of the store we finally found a cash register---6 customers deep-- and one cashier. We asked that they call another cashier which they did. Did I purchase anything? No. I put my items back. JCP started out well when it redid the store and then morphed into a bargain basement junk store. The staff people we encountered were professional, courteous and helpful (and they know the store is not servicing their customers properly). Of course, they have no power or authority to do anything but listen politely. My guess is that your store's will fail. They are designed for the convenience of the corporation with little or no regard to customer service. My advice? Stick to online and just throw in the towel on the brick and mortar. Or hire people and let them service customers.
hiring process. background check before orientation!
I was giving a date to start and went to orientation. Everything seemed to be ok. I went in at 6 am on the day I was to start and was told my background check was negative. I do have a felony from 2011 and it was party to a crime. I know I was wrong for having done my crime, but it had nothing to do with the job. I believe it was unfair and just discriminatory as I'm Hispanic. I don't think they wanted to hire me and went about it the "background" way. I know it seems unsafe to hire a "felon" and who knows what I can do, but it's prejudice against someone who has made a mistake. I don't think this company will last long if they are so judgemental and don't give "rehabilitated criminals" a chance. Most of the people employed here are old and don't give the youth a chance. Anyway, I think it's wrong for them to have you go in and then not pay you when I gave them ideas on how to help renovate the store and bring more customers in. I even saw some of my ideas implemented band don't know if I can sue, as big technically worked for them... They seem to be very strict on hiring people. How can I prove I'm not a bad guy, if they don't even give you a probationary period to demonstrate your skills and goodwill. I think they should move along with times and not be so wrongful in hiring good people with obvious skills I demonstrated. The job had nothing to do with the crime and is why I'm discontent with the outcome of wasting my time! Please let people know what they look for, and if any convictions bar you from being employed. I was under the impression they would work with you, but obviously I was ill informed. I even let them know and they said it was ok, as long as it didn't pertain to the job... Lies!

We purchased a new refrigerator from our local jcp and we had to have it serviced once because of a faulty third door. They adjusted it but it still does not close properly. We decided to just return to jcp but they sent us over to the cdr department. Which called back today and the person my husband spoke with was very rude and hung up on him. Is this how jcp treats its long time customers? I again call jcp and after an hour on hold I am told we would have had that returned with in 48 hours. How is that even possible when you need to let it sit for 48 hours. I called when we returned from being out of town. They came out and adjusted it again. The door still does not work. The ice maker clogs all the time and I was told nothing could be done for that issue. I just want to replace with a nicer model and willing to pay the difference. Very disappointed in lg and jcp.
problem with jcpenney located at woodmore town center, glenarden, md 20774

I wish to inform you that yesterday, Sunday, June 10th, around 10:30am, I visited one of your store located at Woodmore Town Center, Glenarden, MD, where I frequently shop. I was shocked to see the appearance this time of the day (it just opened), especially in the shoe department; shoes on the floor, open boxes everywhere with no shoes inside, the department is in shambles! I saw a couple of shoes that I was interested in buying but I can't find the other pair (two different shoes) and there's no one in sight to help me. After 10 minutes in the area, an employee happens to pass by so I asked him for assistance. After a few rounds, he didn't find the other pairs either, he left the shoes somewhere without getting back with me. So then, I decided to browse in the ladies clothing dept., the appearance is no difference, it's sad to say. I wanted to take pictures to show you how the store looks like inside but I forgot my cell phone. I asked to speak with the manager in charge. A supervisor (I believe, her name is Ray/Shay), a young black lady came and I mentioned to her that I really wanted to shop/buy something but since it's so hard to find the items I like, I will have to leave the store disappointed/dissatisfied! She apologized and said that the store is short of staff! Before I left, I asked her to provide me the contact info for the person in charge of that store. She provided me this email and a phone number to call. Additionally, I will also be calling JC Penny's corporate office regarding this issue. I wish to stay loyal to JC Penny as I have done throughout the years. And I hope that this is not a continuing problem.
