Hello my name is kaitlyn ford I had recently been married and proposed with a ring from jcpenny location cumberland md at jewelry department. My husband of now had purchased the ring and I had only had the ring 3 months before a diamond fell out. I myself took it to cumberland to be fixed they told me it would not be no more than 100 if even that. They said they call with exact amount in about a week. They never did we had to call them. When we did they answer the phone unbelievably rude. And said the fix cost for 1 diamond for the princess cut ring would be 500! Made rude comments behind that saying dimonds are probably just going to fall out again sounding like jcpenny jewerly isnt well made making us nervous with our purchase and regretful. We then asked speak to the supervisor at jcpenny lavale md. Who I can say very rude yelling not making it reusurring were in good hands n certainly someone that makes me want to tell everyone I know not to buy from this store. She had ignorant comments saying we should have known better to pick that ring and said its our fault! Her sales help was the absolute worse I was looking for an apology and help with other options a discount, I say she should have acted this way because the sales person that sold my husband the ring didnt mention any insurance plan. My husband not knowing much of rings hint to why hes not a jewler hoping when he went to a professional store he get all of what he needed he did not I assure you and we have a witness proving so which supervisor rudely takes up and says all my employee offer it and called us liers. My experience with my engagment ring from jcpenny in cumberland lavale md is terrible and emploment is not what jcpenny should have represent them. I had the ring for 3 months! And ive reached out jcpenny will not admit there manufacturer problem and fix it I feel 500 is to much for the fix when the cost of the ring was round 800. Can you please help me out and give me a good experience with jcpenny

delivery of merchandise
I purchased a Bedroom Package on June 5th. The delivery date that was communicated was August 30th. I have not received any confirmation on the delivery date of my merchandise. I have made numerous phone inquiries and no one has been able to provide the status on my order. This has been an extremely frustrating experience and I will never order furniture from JCPenney again.
Sadly, they don't care. Customer Service is dead. I give JCP a year before they go bankrupt.

I have order a top item # 699-0428F twice and the first one that was received was the wrong color so I reordered it and was charged again on 9-14-17 for the second order now the order shows it was shipped on 9-15-17 and I still do not have it . So now I have paid for two tops and I still do not have the one that was ordered. They have sent me a shipping label to return the first item but I will not receive my money back until it is received by them, but yet I have paid twice for the same top and I have not yet received the correct item. All they have said is you can get a refund and replace your order again. Now does this make sense? Why can't they just request one to be sent out sense it appears that the second one that was order has never shipped from the supplier in the first place. This makes a lot more sense in customer service then making me get a refund and place the order for a third time and charge my same CC again. Very Poor Customer Service will not reorder Item again and will no longer shop with JCP for my family.

I had placed an order on line and was tracking it to see when it was going to arrive, I called the 800 # and followed the prompts it said it had arrived. Did not receive a email as of yet and I am sure that is because it just came in, which is all good. However when I called again on the 800 # to confirm I could go in and pick it up, I think the gal works from home and if she is to be representing JC Penney's then I'm sorry to say she was a bad representative as her phone skills as well as her connection was just deplorable. I then called the store (woodfield) directly and was bounced around for 18 minutes until I couldn't handle it anymore and hung up and called and waited another 8 mins before I got a live person again, in which time I requested to speak to a Manager (Sue) with a very bad attitude acting as if I was bothering her to find out my information.
When all was said and done I found out my information. Sorry if this was a little long winded but I was a little upset

new credit card
I recently received a new JC Penney master card in the mail and I was concerned because it was a different account number than the one I have had for the past 36 years so I took them both with me to the store and asked the girl at the register if this was opening a new account . She assured me it wasn't that it was the same account and that I needed to activate the new one and cut up the old one so I did. Now I get an email from credit carma saying that I closed a good account of 36 years and opened a new account which is bad on my credit report. I am so disappointed in Penneys that they would do this. I called and was on hold for at leasat a half an hour only to be told there was nothing they could do. I just wanted my old account back and the new one canceled. If I had wanted a credit card to use anywhere I would have opened a 0 percent one somewhere else.

How awful!
I went shopping today 09/23/17, at my local JC Penney store in Yucca Valley, Ca 92284 and the dressing rooms where filthy discussing! After changing into a couple blouses, I realized the inch of dirt & grime build up on the ledge of each wall border, the dressing room doors, light fixtures, air intake vents, etc! My eyes would not stop itching from all the dust flying around! It was so uncomfortable, I had to stop my shopping. A couple ladies in the other booths started to notice and voiced the same thing and we each chimed in together how horrible and absolutely filthy it was in our dressing areas.
They too decided to conclude their shopping and even mentioned how disgusting the rooms where to several ladies walking in and they too took notice and paused at the uncleaniness!

After visiting your store in wolfchase mall in Tn I will say I will never visit there again! I stood and asked for help with my son which by the way has braces on his feet and cancer and a current patient at St.Jude after asking for help many of time while other women stood and chatted up around the store. I will never shop there again... So I let them know how sad it was that I couldn't get no help in the department store and all they kept saying is that isn't my fault that store is a disgrace and I will let everyone know how me and my son was treated

I recently purchased a refrigerator and the lady that helped me out was such an awesome help and also told us about the clearance they had going on . Her name is Delia . She advised us that anything that had 40% off had an extra 50 % off and honestly she was so sweet and generous . The next day we decided to check out the sale which was Friday sept 22 at around 6 pm and I just needed a price check on an item I was curious about the promotion . I went to the appliances area were I saw an employee and I told him about the sale that they had told us about and he responded that if I worked here ? And I was like NO not at all and explained to him I had came yesterday and they told us about the sale and he looked at me as I were stupid and literally made me feel stupid . He said he couldn't check and that he didn't know about the sale and I said I'll check with someone else . He was rude and not helpful at all .

My Mother inlaw is 96.I am 61. We shopped our whole lives at JCPenney and loved it. We can no longer shop there due to no real carts to can lean on. a few years back it was switched to a sort of golf bag monstrosity. We have complained to manager numerous times. We were told many complain. Why don't they change back to carts? These carts will keep us shopping there.
Its clear JCPenney does not care about this.

I have been shopping at the Jc Penny store in Brighton, CO for the past 7 years and have never received the customer service as I did tonight. Store Manager "Gloria", approached my wife, little brother and I very rude and unwelcoming. No one came to offer customer service for what we needed for at least 20 mins. Gloria came up to us and asked, "do you need someone to come measure you so you guys don't try on everything and put everything back?" Everything from her tone of voice to her body language was very rude. I am not happy at all with Jc Penny's. I spent $350 tonight on all the clothes I needed. If I didn't need to buy the clothes I would have left immediately. They might have lost a long time loyal customer.

Today while shopping in your 34th st location in New York, I was interrupted as I walked close to a register in the section with scarves, I was told she's closed. I let the girl know I was not finished shopping, and that's where it took a turn for the worse. I walked away and overheard the employee and an off duty employee tell each other and I quote verbatim "we should have made that white [censor] wait here". I was appalled. I went back and asked for their names and they refused to give them to me. I've never felt more disrespected somewhere that I am spending my money. I will never walk in that store again and the company should be embarrassed to have such employees working there. Had the situation been opposite a simple email wouldn't be the end of thos.

I visited the East Point location in Baltimore, MD on Sep 22 2017. The shoe I was interested in purchasing was a display shoe & no others were in the back per CSR Wendy. I asked if I cld get a percentage off b/c of the dirt/scratches on the bottom & around the shoe. Wendy stated 10%, which would've been $1.99. I asked if more of a percent could be taken off b/c of the damage and Wendy proceeded to have CSR, Natasha take over the transaction. Natasha stated 10% was appropriate b/c there was no damage to the top of the shoe.
I declined a 10% discount and over heard Natasha state to Wendy to mark the shoes as damaged inventory. Natasha's lack of quality customer care and honesty was inappropriate. Natasha provided a fraudulent reasoning for not providing more of a discount when the shoes were visually damaged; she stated so herself, hence them being placed as damaged merchandise.
I've been a customer of JCPenny since childhood and its disheartening to me that a CSR who is to represent the integrity of your organization has falsified and let a customer walk w/o accommodating a simple boost in a percentage off. I ask that both Wendy and Natasha be retrained on Quality Customer Care, Marketing, Price Inflation, Honesty & Integrity, and Appreciation for loyal customers.
I would like for a Representative in Leadership to ensure that the staff are aware of quality customer care and satisfaction.

I love this flower mound store: however, I always to leave quick as the store is ridiculously HOT. I have money to spend but I won’t shop if I am sweating why trying on clothes because you want to say money making us all burn up. Even the employees are sweating. I spoke with Ashley the manager and she said there isn’t anything they can do.
For the record this must be costing you sells as other customers were also complaining.
missing credit for returned item
I ordered six LG appliances which arrived 09/05/17. i didn't accept the OTR microwave bc i found it elsewhere cheaper. so the delivery guys made a note of the return on the bill of lading and in their LG systems but I never got the credit on my statement. i'm currently going through major hoops to resolve this and the poorly educated or inefficient customer service people always refer me elsewhere, passing the buck. i had to wait for hours on end holding on the terrible phone system they have. it's utterly ridiculous how long-3 hours on one occasion- customers have to wait. at this point i was so pissed i ended up speaking to corporate. but the ghetto-est "corporate" rep named lindsey gets on the phone and i can tell he's going to be stupid and rude from the beginning. he doesn't sound professional at all. I'm explaining the problem and he doesn't apologize for my inconvenience, then says something unrelated to my problem that clearly means he's not listening to what i'm saying. then he says "uh huh go' head i'm listening, just talking to my co worker about somethin' ". Does the company not monitor these calls?! how do they hire people like this? are they paying them anything over minimum wage because this guy sounded like he was hired off the street after a 5 minute interview. To top it off, this idiot sounded like he came straight out the hood. How on earth did they hire his uneducated self? I was raised inner city, so I know his type but education goes a long way to learning how to speak to customers. I have worked with the public for over 30 years and never had a complaint because I treat people they way i want to be treated. but HE had the nerve to accuse me of placing my order in store when i actually placed it online. he actually argued with me over that because he said" it shows right here you placed the order in store". then when i was explaining why that was impossible, since i KNOW where i was when i placed the order, he hung up on me! and this was after 25 minutes of me waiting to speak with a corporate rep. but that's ok because LINDSEY doesn't understand that my mission in life will be to speak to his superiors and complain not once but many times over to corporate in any way possible until they become aware of how he treated me and apparently how inefficient he is at his job that he couldn't take a simple complaint and note the records so that i can get my situation resolved. he didn't even have to do anything else but take down the complaint. now the complaint will be about HIM. I was also promised a 5% extra credit for new customers which i didn't get and no one knows anything about that now but i have the name of the rep and ticket number for the transaction that he placed and notes on my record which everyone sees but claim they can't do antyhing about . he apparently issued a non-invoice credit, what the heck does that mean? i need my credit on my card! i will make a major fuss over my issues, jc penny doesn't even understand that customers count for something. if they understood this they would not hire inefficient epople like Lindsey to answer calls at CORPORATE OF ALL THINGS!
I feel your pain. They charged my credit card $1400 and cancelled my order when the delivery people were five minutes from house. They even called the delivery people liars. They are horrible, horrible people. I hope they all get fired.

I’m very upset with JC Penny... I ordered a dress online and spoke to CSR about picking up at store but she informed me that that wasn’t an option so I said ok just leave order as is..being shipped to my address! The CSR orders dress agaiin putting a DOUBLE charge on my debit card which screwed me up big time, she did cancel the order but it was still showing “pending” withdrawal and what I’m not understanding is how and why my payment for correct order clears before my refund is refunded into my bank account when transactions were done like 5 minutes apart! I’m highly disappointed with the CSR the double ordered that dress 😡😡😡

I would like to start off by saying I am a strong JCPenny's customer. I buy almost everything there. So I thought buying a new mattress would go smoothly and I would have no issues...I recently purchased a washer and dryer form their website and it went great! However, about 3 1/2 weeks ago I decided I wanted a new mattress. So I went into the store and was able to have an associate help me! Everything went great until we printed out the receipt. The system switched the billing and shipping address and didn't change any phones number to mine...so on the receipt it looked like my mother was getting a new mattress in stead of me. So the associate called customer service right away and was put on hold for 45 minutes! Plus the customer service representative gave us the run around and put us on hold again to transfer us to another representative who told us call back within 3 business days. So I waited and called back...put on hold for another 30 minutes. By this point I'm very aggravated. So I explain the situation and asked to switch the addresses and phone numbers...but wait I have to wait another 3 days for the order to process with the distribution center. So I waited and called back in the three days. The representative answered the phone, gave him the story, he "switched" the information for me and updated the phone numbers to mine. Promised me he took care of the mishap. So then the next week my mother gets a call saying the mattress will be delivered to her house. So I call the number they gave my mom to call, I told the representative that the information was incorrect, so she asked me for the correct address and phone number. So then I get a voicemail a couple days later saying my mattress will be arriving at my apartment on a certain date and time. Finally! ohhh but wait, the day my mattress was supposed to arrive, which it did...the delivery guy had to call me about which apartment I lived in...seriously I gave my address and apartment number to the rep 3 times! So I finally have my mattress after 3 weeks of the run around. JCPenny's Customer Service for online purchases needs a reboot. No one could help me. And instead of saying "sorry I cant help you, let me see if I can find someone who can" they lied and said they could and did nothing anyways.
was promised a rebate I never received
I purchased a whole set of 4 samsung appliances that was delivered on July 8, 2017. I had seen the ad online that said it had a rebate if you purchased 2 or more. After I went through the trouble of submitting my copy of the receipt, the model and serial numbers, the delivery ticket, the rebate form given to me by the saleslady at JC Penney, I never received the rebate. I sent the rebate on July 11, 2017 and as of today I have not received anything from them. I am very upset because I spent $2, 355 to purchase the 4 samsung appliances which was more than I could afford thinking that I was going to get a $300 Visa prepaid card which was promised at time of purchase.

Paid my card in full on Friday sept 15 because we were going shopping that weekend. On card payment site on Sunday the 17th it showed payment was processed even though I was 4 days late on payment. The service at the grand island ne store was awesome and understood I showed them the online account and they verified it had available credit and payment was processed but you would still not make my card active at this time I had been in line more then 20 min was very embarrassing my wife was telling me to just leave and close account. I rarely say anything but this was very upsetting. It looks like we will be NOT shopping at JC Penny's anymore. I am a business owner, run my own electric company and have a very large extended family that will all know the very negative and embarrassing experience.

I have Submitted any order to change glass for my kids as his prescription has been changed but last 2 month there is no update on my order.
