dressing rooms
Penneys is allowing men in their ladies dressing rooms, which BTW, are less than secure and not private as they have louvers on the doors that can be seen through. The tops are open making it very easy to use a camera on a phone, and the door knobs are all loose and sloppy.
I have had two experiences recently with men in the dressing room when I was either in there already or getting ready to enter and a man went in ahead of me. This is very disturbing. Store personnel is uninterested in doing anything about it.
IF they are truly bound by the laws to accommodate gender confused people in dressing rooms than they should at the very least provide dressing rooms that are absolutely secure. It's only a matter of time before something bad happens and someone gets hurt.
I am not planning to shop at Penneys any longer. It's becoming all to convenient to shop online for clothing.

I purchased JCP Home dinnerware last year. I was so excited after 17 years to get new dinnerware. Well, now they are scuffed terribly and look like they are a hundred years old. I feel that JCP should offer a refund or replacement. I have a photo of my plate. I am embarrassed to use them when company of over. I take very good care of them they do not have any chips or nicks they are just horrible... not worth bringing home.

I do not have a receipt because a member of my family bought them for me but they are the wrong size. they do not live anywhere close. so I tried to exchange for atleast the right size and really only got less than half of what I was trying to exchange. turns out I couldnt even do that. they would only give me $6 for all the purchased clothes that was about 240$ or more altogether.. the first employee tells me I can exchange at exact price and once I am done we would go from there, an hour or so later after shopping, the first person I talked to isnt there anymore, now I am talking to someone new. they tell me I can not do what the other person has told me I could. they were not wearing name tags so I dont know anyones names.. I tried looking for the first person I talked to but he was nowhere to be found. so I moved to another desk and a woman told me the same"that I could only exchange for basically sales tax".. so basically the family member wasted 240 dollars or more on clothes at JCPENNYS for JCPENNYS to tell me that JCPENNYS will only exchange the purchased items for $6.
status of my bill
On 8/8/17 a refrigerator I purchased on line was delivered. The refrigerator had to be returned as it wouldn't fit through the door. I later placed a order for another refrigerator that was delivered 8/24/17.
Today while paying on my bill I was informed that my account was over the limit my balance before purchasing the refrigerator was 3915.18. Now they say my account is over the limit of 7000.00. No one shows a return of the first refrigerator. I was on hold with JCP for close to an hour and never got to speak to a representative. I don't expect to receive a response to this but it helped to VENT.

I'm not happy that you don't have coupons for all stylist. The Master stylists are expensive. That's kind of unfair if your coupons are for Designer and Sr. Designer. Also back to school only applies to cuts fir children and not hair styles. Every child doesn't get a hair cut for school. I just spent $175 for a CHI and trim. There's never discounts for masters. My daughter's appointment is $65.00 without the tip. It's a shame that customers don't get breaks when their hairstylist is a master. So disappointed. 😔😕🙁

I went to the JCPenney Salon in Deptford New Jersey and I got my hair done for partial highlights and a cut and it costed me $100 dollars then my mom went and got the same thing done and it cost her $55 for the same thing. My hair turned out horrible. I just want my money back. I don't wanna start any issues I just think this wrong and absolutely rediclious. This was my first time here and I'm never going back.

Bought sterling silver earrings. Cost was about $40. Wire broke off the hoop within 6 weeks or so of buying them. Took them back for replacement but was told they couldn't I had them too long. (6 or 8 weeks? Quality earrings should last ilonger than that) They Took them and sent them in to repair Called me a week later said repairing would cost $60 did I want them to repair it? This is not acceptable at all. I shop jcp because of your quality products and customer service. You have failed on both of these.
I can't let this just go. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed.

My husband and I purchased a refrigerator to be delivered August 18th. We never received a call until 15 minutes before the delivery. We missed the call due to our work hours, which we had told the appliance salesman Paul at the Olean counter.
We then received call back from truck saying item was damaged so we refused it and decided to get a refund. We went to the store Paul told us he could only offer a gift card for 50 dollars and could not help us due the delivery being done by an outside party. Why were we not made aware of this in the first place? He said he could dial a number for us but could not help in any other way. My husband was then speaking to me and Paul came out from behind his counter and interrupted us, My husband said " I am speaking to my wife, not you" Paul said " Then we're done here" . He was of no help and completely rude. We are still trying to make sure we are not charged as it showed up once again on our account as impending transaction. We have always loved and shopped at JC Penney but this nightmare changed all that.

I purchased a set of these sheets on Aug. 25, 2017 at the Ingleside Mall store in Holyoke, MA. I bought the blue rain color and they are lovely except that one of the pillowcases is not blue, but a brown color (walnut). Love the sheets and the blue color but really would like another blue pillowcase! I did wash them all already but will gladly return the brown one if you could send me a "blue rain" one.

Good afternoon, I wanted to let someone know about my experience with the JC Penny store in Moreno Valley, CA .
I have shopped here numerous times and online. I love the clothes, etc. I have never had problems with any visit I have had. In fact I have had many wonderful, polite people assisting me.
This time however was over the top wrong. I came in to the store, spent about 1 1/2 hours or so looking for clothing. There was sale going on and so I took my time as many times were marked 40-60% off regular price. I had a handful of clothing so I went to try them on. Came out with a few good ones. I continued looking found additional clothing so I went back in to try them on. I had blouses as well as pants so I tried my blouses on first and then my pants. Of course at that point I had to remove my shoes... when I did... I realized the carpet was soaking wet. not just a puddle, but soaking wet. I then smelled what seemed to be urine ! I was floored... I screamed and stepped to the side, but unfortunately the bottoms of my pants were soaked as well as the bottoms of my sandals. Now, I just threw my clothes on and grabbed my stuff and went to the register. I needed something to clean my bare feet. After about 20 mins or so in line, as I was trying to be patient... I finally went up to the cash register person and said Hey I have a problem, in the dressing room I stepped in urine that was soaked into the carpet. I asked for a paper towel, napkin anything to wipe my feet. The lady said she had nothing... Didn't even look around. Didn't call anyone to bring anything... nothing... she just proceeded to ring me up. I stopped her and said hey these items are on sale as they were in the sale racks, her response was no they are not. they are full price... So out of Id say 6 items... 1 was on sale. I said I am standing here with urine on my feet from JC Penny dressing room and now I am told the things I found on sale, are not... So I am trying to remain calm, I said no thank you I just need something to wipe my feet and I will just get the item on sale... She said she had nothing, again, and I gave her a coupon and she said I needed to spend $25.00 to be able to use this coupon! Seriously, after this fiasco, my item had rung up to be just under $10 and I was told I couldn't use it. Now, the clothes that were suppose to be on sale, were in piles on the sale rack.. there were multiple of the same items on that sale rack. So how then does the consumer know they are not on sale. Also, let's not overlook the fact that whomever is suppose to clean the dressing room obviously was not doing their job! I went home, told my husband, threw my pants and shoes in the trash since they had someone else's urine on them. I had to shower as my feet were drenched in urine. I have never been so close as to lose my cool with someone as I was when she would NOT and I repeat NOT assist me in getting something to wipe my feet off of. She could tell I was near tears because I was so upset.
I called once I had cleaned up... Spoke to the "Assistant" Manager because the Manager was not available. I decided to write this complaint because this was absolutely and I mean absolutely disgusting and I deserved to be treated with some amount of respect as a human being.

I purchased a Christmas gift in December 2016. Below is a summary of the outcome, which was an extremely complicated process, marked by loss of my initial submission. This required a second submission which had to be snail mailed. (Luckily I had kept copies!)

The rebate was in the form of a debit card, which was declined at several locations I tried. There was no contact info on the card, so I went to my local JCP Store to see if they knew why it wasn't working. They gave me some advice, which I used and I thought it worked one time, but only allowed $1.75, so I don't know if I got scammed when I tried it elsewhere, or WHAT! In truth I am not sure whether I was using it correctly at all, but my point is that the debit card came with no PIN information or instructions on where or how to use it. Also, there is no way to check the balance or get online help. By Aug 31, it was still declined so I figure it was invalid. And, after 6 months, they take a $3 Service Fee, so that would used any balance up as well! I only got $1.75 of the $12. I wish they would have just sent a CHECK!

I always been a loyal customer of this store and this the first time that I have been disappointed with their service..I bought a mattress since the delivery proses is been a nightmare so the sale person that help me at sunvaley mall In pleasant hill CA was not honest about the sale protocol or policy of the resiclyn he offered to me and I pay 22 dollar when they deliver the items the workers did not want to get my old mattress it made me unhappy such respond when I pay for it I call the delivery company they said that they do not have a note that they have to take anything fot resiclyn so they told me to call jc Penney furniture ..Now they said that they can not return my money back because in the policy display that mattress for resiclyn need to be in a good condition..I found it ridicules and disrespect full to tread a client in such manner if they were clear in the beginning I would not purchase it it is not easy to earn the money I work hard for it. this is the last item that I buy from the company..It really disappointed it me ..I hope it be honest from the begging our you will keep losing your costumers..

These shoes where wore less than 12 times for church and the stitching on the shoes came out. How disappointed I am in these. These were expensive for poor quality. I am adding photos. You can tell by the photos of the shoes that other than the defective stitching, these shoes are in EXCELLENT condition because they were hardly worn! I would request a refund. Thanks!

I ordered a sofa from JC Penney.com. A delivery date was set up, I took a vacation day and it was never delivered. I called J C Penney and the delivery company several times. The driver finally called me at 8:30pm and stated he missed my delivery window (which was 2:30-5:30) and I would have to reschedule. As I told the JC Penney customer service rep and the delivery driver I would cancel the order if it wasn't delivered that day. The next day we called JCP and cancelled the order. I was given a code to confirm. It's almost a month later and am still being charged for the sofa. I spent 45 minutes on the phone today and was told I would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days and would have to call back to make sure. I asked for email confirmation...cant do that...asked for a manager...there are none available, not even if I want to wait. Was also told previously I'd be compensated and was told I'd have to call back after the refund to see if I'd be compensated. Every time I call JCP it's at the least 30 minutes. A terrible experience all around...would never shop there again.

Ordered a refrigerator from one of your stores in Lansing, IL and was told that they do not deliver merchandise in the Black Community. Called another store in Orland Park, Il and found out that they deliver appliance with no problem to each and every customer.
I plan to take this complaint and post it on Facebook and all other social media outlets to let them know about the discrimination practices of JCPenney
school clothes
I ordered my kids school clothes online at jcpenney.com on the 17th of august, with promise that they would arrive by the 22nd. Today is the 29th and I still have not received the clothes I ordered and have had nothing but chaos and a headache from jcpenney! I will never, I repeat, never shop from here again. (Not that it matters though right because 1 irate customer verses billions other doesn't matter) the people I have dealt with, all but 1 of them, have been rude and monotoned and just down right didn't seem to give a crap! What if this was christmas and those were my kids christmas clothes and all I get is a sorry? I had to go back out and buy more school clothes for them just because they have already started school and I still haven't received my order. I am a single mom, with 3 kids! I did not have the money to go back out and buy new school clothes after I just placed an order with y'all expecting it to be here in time for school! I received 2 bags, 1 was supposed to be a pair of shorts and a shirt, it was a boy shirt in the bag and no shorts! I have girls! What am I going to do with this 1 piece of clothing that isn't even the gender of my kids!? And I can't even seem to get anyone on the phone who cares.

Had an unbelievably horrible experience with your customer service department and your inventory service. The customer service department kept giving me inconsistent answers and kept pushing the date back of my delivery for my new mattress. It started with 7-10 business days then it eventually went to a MONTH! Mind you we had planned on the mattress coming in and had planned it out to be able to sleep on the mattress once it came in but no, me and my husband had to sleep on the couch for a MONTH. I finally had enough and just called to cancel my order and bought another mattress, same day service.
Will never shop at JCPenneys again!

I had a horrible experience at the jcpenney store in plaza bonita mall. I'm a loyal customer and I use to work for jcpenney. I went to buy my kids some clothes. As I was trying to pay with my husbands credit card, I was denied after the fact I showed my id and my military Id. I am authorized to use my husbands credit card and an employee or supervisor was completely rude. My husband is deployed. My kids need clothes. I had all the proof they needed and I was denied. Like I was a criminal. Idk the name of the lady but I believe her name started with a V. She's disgusting and I will never step foot in that store and I will let my friends and family know what happened so they can never step foot in that store too.

I was humiliated and disrespected by a store manager in front of other customers. Yvonne Cole, challgenged my integrity when I was merely I. The store to return a pair of pNts purchased on line. The associate at the register who initially was providing service obviously did not know how to do the return, I only wanted to e change the pant that didn't fit for another size she said look for your other pants and then come back to the register, while I was looking a lady walks up and says I need to come to the register very rude and brash. I could not find my drivers license I sai I just left the bank I hope I didn't leave it there. I offered my retired military ID and my ID from my current employer at the school district I work at. She refused both, I recited my drivers license number she was rude and stated that was not sufficient I ga e her the debit card I made the payment with for the slacks she said she couldn't use it. I did not have the receipt but I had the tags I ordered on line and picked up in the store. This manager stated I have never seen you in this store, I can't imagine any store manager knowing every individual that comes through the door so it was truly her questioning me. I have served 20 years in the military and now I teach school and I am appalled at the lack of customer service and professionalism in this store. A transaction that should have taken no more than 10-15 minutes took over an hour. There was no line when I walked to the register, as this manager created an unneccsary scene it escalated it is no wonder how the quality of the Brand JCPenny has declined . Poor customer service and lack of professionalism. This manager argued with me only after I mentioned I was going to file a complaint did she begin to try to resolve what should never have been an issue, she stated let me do this return I am not loosing my job over you. Truthfully I should never have had to communicate with this manager, the associate should have been skilled enough to complete the transaction. Additionally this manager has no problem solving skills she even called another manager who just stood there . I was humiliated disrespected made to feel like a criminal. This is unacceptable and no one should have to experience lack of coutsey, professionalism and good customer service. JCPenny the Brand has diminished.

I purchase 5 items online. They are : a sofa bed, a sheet set, twin king size pillows, a mattress pad queen size and a comforter. However, when the merchandises delivery to my home (of course, they throw them on my front door), all of 5 items do not look like the way they describe these items online. They only delivery 1 pillow instead of 2, 2 king size pillow case instead of a sheet set, a mattress cover instead of mattress pad 6"per description, a cotton ball comforter, the sofa bed I have to put together instead a already assembly couch. Every items turn out not in the way they describe. When I received these items, my heat is on.in addition, they do not enclose any invoice with the merchandises. I immediately call the customer service to bring up my concern because I am planning return all of these items. Will not keep any of them.
The customer service rep advised me that"I only need to bring my order number to them for return. I do not need any invoice. Oh my god, you would not believe how nightmare and disaster I have to go through. I bring all of these items for return at jcpenney store in columbia maryland and the store # is 2732. The customer service accusing me as "a theft". She refuse to give me the money back and she even says "these items are not jcpenney items, I still from another store and try to return at her store" in front of many customers. This is burned me up. I paid $800 for them to accusing me as a "theft". My patience starts running out and very very angry. I have to spent 1 and 1/2 hours to argue with this stupid customer service lady. I then pick up the phone and call police. The minute, she saw I call police, she immediately give me a refund and throw the receipt at me.
What 's a nightmare and unpleasant experience that I have to go through with this jcpenney company.
First, they scam you about merchandises.
They then do not want to give you money back.
Please help me to get in touch with this business to find out what kind of business is.
Now, I do not know how can I return my sofa bed for $600 worth.
