Peach pie
Hello,
We recently bought a peach pie for a birthday party. After slicing the pie, we noticed it was not a peach pie but rather a strawberry rhubarb pie. I went to jewel to tell them of the mix up and I received a free peach pie. This time, there were hardly any peaches in the pie; it was mostly crust pieces. I will never buy peach pie from jewel again. This is simply not right. Thank you.
Jewel management policy on lane tech students lounging on the floor
I went to Jewel-Osco (Store Number 3501) located at 3500 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60618 today at approximately 11:30 AM. I needed to pick up some produce items and the Produce Department was the location I headed for. I couldn't believe that this store management allow students from nearby Lane Tech lounge around on the floor between the aisles making it impossible to push a shopping cart (or to even walk, for that matter). I would estimate the number of teenage sprawled out on the floor in the aisles at least 40. I asked a bakery department employee why Jewel management allows this to go on. The bakery employee stated that she did not know why management allows this, but it happens every day and she wished management would do something. She suggested that I report this to management. I immediately sought out a manager and asked the manager in charge why Jewel allows this to go on. I explained that it is impossible to shop for produce with at least 40 teen-age kids sprawled out on the floor. Her reply astounded me. She said "well, they are customers too!" I told her that customers don't usually sprawl out on the floor, do they? She said if you ask them to move, they'll move. She walked with me over to the Produce Department and asked the kids to move, but I didn't think any one of them even acknowledged her request. The manager walked away. I wish I had also walked away (right out of the store). My advise, avoid this Jewel-Oslo and save the aggravation. Jewel-Oslo doesn't understand the concept of customer service and obviously management get less training that department employees.
Actually, you should have asked the kids to move. The management of every retail store can not offend customers. They are customers too. As a customer however, I am shocked that you feel more powerful berating the manager, who can do nothing but lose their job, instead of addressing the kids themselves, when you will face no consequences for it.
Or are you a coward who can only feel important when putting someone's job on the line?
Customer complaint
I shopped earlier today 3-5-2016, at the Jewels food at 87 W. 87th in Chicago. As I completed my check-out, I remembered the free product I was to receive on the mymixx item. The item was a 4pk of Annie's organic yogurt. The cashier Peggie was very nice and told me to get the yogurt and take it to customer service with my receipt and it would be cared for...

I was groped by a man working INTHE JEWEL STORE but for TCF bank. He followed me around the store rubbing up against my back at one point, then i caught him trying to take a picture up my skirt with a camera phone. I was so traumatized being the last thing I expected at my local grocery that I ran home and called my boyfriend who then called the police. Jewel manager did nothing, I had to call thier coporate office myself to complain, finally the guy got fired but I had to push the issue. You would think a big company like that would be right on that, as I am sure they had video of the incident. Then someone suggested to me that as the mgr was also a younger man and didnot want to tell coporate office, maybe they were all in on it. I don not shop at any Jewel stores anymore, neither does any of my family as we see them as being a very abusive corporatation and their prices are high anyway.

I was fired a while back for something I did not do and was later unofficially told that I was fired for other reasons. At the time, I was 17 and I had kept certain items in my locker that I wanted hid from my parents (tobacco, maxim magazine.) I was called in a while after and was confronted about these items. The store manager, Glen Poulson, had broken open my locker and found them and was understandably concerned with what he assumed stolen property. So they brought in this nice woman and we went over my story and she told me she understood and would look into it. She also made me sign a paper (I was young and ignorant) that had a list of what was in my locker. Oddly enough I was fired two days later. I called the Union and they said there was nothing they could do so I accepted this act of [censored]baggery. Later on, I ran into a fellow employee who I always talked politics with and he mentioned offhand that his mother had issued a complaint against me for talking politics with her. I talked politics with all the customers and never came across in a brash or demeaning way. He also told me that his mother and the manager were unusually close and that he loved her and would do anything for her. I believe that this was the true reason for my dismissal, especially since the manager had no reason to be in my locker.

Assistant Manage/Butcher
To whom it may concern, ,
My name is Darryl Alexander and I am an employee at Jewels Osco 95th and Stony Island store 3092. I have been wrongfully suspended for two weeks. I am an Assistant Manager who has been wrongfully suspended and have been off work for two weeks with no pay. It has been over disagreement with another employee at the store and it was in the Grocery back room and not on the sales floor. The security was not present at the time.. My store directer told me and the other employee to go back to our work stations and he didn't take any steps in a suspension. He told us to not worry about it and go back to work. An hour later, a security Guard who was not only not present at the time of the issue, but also was off this day came to tell me I was suspended and this was two weeks ago. I am very upset with this because not only did I not get any say so in this matter, I am also a Assistant meat Department Manger, who has been with this company for over 12 years and i have never had a problem like this occur. Also I am paying my sick mother's hospital bills and now that I'm not working i can't afford to pay her bills while she is sick. Please someone reach out to me and help me get back to my job a.s.a.p.

Rude behavior by employees
The poor service and rude treatment I received at the jewel food store at Harlem and foster is most distressing, as I went to check out, the clerk bolted away from her register, telling me I will be right back, which seemed odd to me, and very rude, I purchased some tomatoes, which had a sign on the shelf, 1.49, on sale, she charged me 2.99, I went to the service desk and told them the sign on the shelf said 1.49, she said the sale was over, and refunded my money, my inquiries seemed to infuriate the loss prevention person, that he bumped into to me as I was walking to the service desk, perhaps he thought it was my fault they didn't take the sale sign down, he seemed very antagonistic, perhaps he did not take his Ritalin, I am a senior citizen, and don't need this rude behavior in my life, perhaps jewel foods would be better off screening their loss prevention types, make sure at least they have a high school education, and basic communication skills, every who walks in to this jewel should get the service and courtesy they deserve, but no problem, I will now shop at caputo's, so Long overpriced jewel,

On Nov. 1, 2008 my son and I decided to go to Jewel to purchase a bus pass. I went to the restroom first then my son. I was looking for a product and my son told me that a man came in on him and started watching and waiting for him to finish urinating. This is a one toilet restroom. My son is an autistic teen. The door was close. This person didn't knock...

On March 19, 2007 between the hours of 1AM-2:30am I went into the store to purchase some peanuts and I noticed the self check out line was closed. I requested to speak to a manager and the plain clothes security guard said what I can do for you. (Note: he had no name tag to show who he was) I assumed he was the manager and I told him I don't think its right...
