7/10/2017 Jewel Osco on orchard road and route 34
i always shop at this store and most of the time the kids in the deli are very loud and yelling thats why i avoid it if possible but this time my wife had a few thing on the list i had to get it from the deli i waited there while there were 4 employees were just gossiping when they notice me the all were pushing the other to help me then a girl named Hannah approached me rolling her eyes and smirking she sliced a few meats as on the list then i asked her if she could help me with some salads and she grunted heavily like i was asking for too much i was shocked but just ignored it, the macaroni salad looked a little dry so i asked her if they had any fresh she looked and me and without checking just said no and whether i want it or no that is very rude i am surprise with this attitude this person has a job interacting with customers and insulting them don't the management train their employee how to interact with customers

I walked up to an employee in the produce section on 7/5/2017 who's name I believe was ryan. I had asked him where I can find a certain product and he simply said I don't know you should ask someone else and then walked away. I was stunned an employee would say such a thing and hope he hasn't done that to anyone else. I went on with my day however and thefood ended up being wonderful

First of all been told to wait for ages while she was helping other cashiers who kept calling her then when I pointed wrong price on recwipt she turned around and said you misread price when you picked up. I said to her all items from this brand are marked down, she then says oh but not those ones. After which I said I need to talk to manager. She called somebody to check the price, again made me wait and finally she says oh I will refund you difference. Refunded and went to get manager. When explained to manager he just stood there. By that time I was so frustrated, but in the end he said he will talk to this woman, but who know if they even have any kind of training or at least verbal directions. Extremely dissatified with cuatomer service. It is bad enough they make mostakes not marking prices accurately then accusing customers of being wrong. Not shopping in Jewel osco no more. Just lost loyal customer!
cookies n cream parfait
I'm really 😠 mad an upset that jewel in waukegan on greenbay rode is selling what's called a cookies n cream parfait in bakery section which I thought has chocolate pudding in instead it's chocolate frosting an so thick an rich you can't enjoy it! I paid $3.00 dollars for a cup of thick chocolate frosting so much I could frost a whole cake my craving for chocolate was ruined an now afraid to buy anything else from bakery there also saw strawberry cake for $14.99 with 2 old dark not fresh strawberries on it like about to mold soon thanks jewel I'm done

I was shopping at the jewel osco in lockport illinois earlier today. An employee named phill kept staring at my 16 year old daughter, finally comes up to her and says "if you need help with anything during the store hours or after hours let me know sweetie" he then winked at my daughter and touched her back. I went straight to the service desk to complain and they said hes our store director. Ill never step foot in there again and hes lucky my husband wasnt there at the time.

I'm a frequent customer of the jewel/osco located at: 7500 s. Stoney island, chicago, ill. One of the many services previously offered was the Ability to use money gram/Western Union to load pre-paid credit cards... I am the parent of two college students and i use this service to advance cash to them on a regular basis at my local jewels.. I am disabled this is the most convenient way to perform this task...i was in the store to do this transaction 6/27/17 Thursday when i was informed it could no longer make deposits to these cards unless i had there actual card in my possession, which i do not have which is why i purchased these cards because it's a reasonable way to send cash to my children..I have never been asked by anyobe in any establishment to produce the card to make a deposit because that is not the credit cards policy. I want to Know why your policy has changed, as well as is this a national decision vs a local decision? Either way it feels very discriminatory and an unnecessary precaution considering all the safeguards in place to protect the consumers that utilize this service...I am hoping that Me bringing this inconvenience for the community you attention, willl make you rethink the true pro and cons to this new policy the biggest pro being the satisfaction of many loyal consumers in my community...

I asked the deli person...how fresh is it. Could not tell me. Said it had no date written on it. Says it has a 4 day shelf life but she nor her boss in the deli counter could say when it came in or when they should replace it.

the deli lady told me it comes in pre-done in a package. The week before I did buy it and the deli person said they would make a fresh batch from the rotisserie chicken in the store. It was great.
Someone was incorrect. Even the Deli Manager knew nothing about freshness of the product and did not seem to care that my question could not be answered. I left the store and went to shop at one of your competitors. Too bad since that store is near my home. If this is the attitude and was correct information, I am concerned that outdated products are being sold. This may be a health issue.

did not receive discount on blackberries
Hello,
I bought 3, 6 oz, packs of blackberries last night, 6/29/17, because sign above them said they were on sale for $0.87/ea. When I reviewed the receipt at home, I was charged $3.99/ea. I have attached pdf of receipt.
Can I please have a refund? I have not opened blackberries and will gladly return them to the store. This was an unfortunate incident and have never had problem at this store before. Always great customer service and great products.

I've had several unfortunate mishaps with the Pharmacist (Gary) An extremely crabby man and difficult to deal with especially when he is in a mood which is quite often.
The Osco tech (Jackie) who I too have had unprofessional runs in with several times. Jackie lacks any type of decent customer service skills. Her personality becomes juvenile and cocky like a fresh kid in H.S when she is challenged. This is very unappealing and uncomfortable for your customers. Is this what you want representing your stores?
EX: Attempting to get the correct information on a prescription and given wrong information twice, and then told by Gary he is too busy to deal with this issue. Really? Unacceptable!
EX:2 Four people working behind the counter and there is a line of 5 customers and not one employee walks to the register to assist/ ring up. No, they make us wait for over 10-15 plus minutes.
If I wanted this type of service I would go back to the Wal*Mart Pharmacy.

In this video I have documented my recent experience at Jewel Osco of Chicago. I was publicly humiliated by the cashier and bag lady. I have attached a detailed video explaining the incident. I was verbally attacked by the cashier and bag lady as well as a few on-looking customers. The way I was treated was totally unprofessional and unacceptable..

The jewel on archer in garfield ridge is open 24 hours but none of the registers are open unless you ask. I do my shopping late at night because thats when i have time. I always ask for a regular lane because i buy a lot ... like $300-$400 a few times a week but tonight the girl was nowhere to be found the lines were around the corner and i started putting my groceries up in front of a manager who watched and said nothing. The girl who i have had problems with before comes running out shaking her finger at me telling me i have to move all my groceries including 9 cases of pop to register 2 instead of 1. I left i dont like being ignored yelled at and treated like garbage. The man buffing the floor also blocked the aisle i was in 3 times and left the machine there to talk to the lady washing the floor and i had to move it myself.

I was at the jewel at 159th and central in Oak Forest Illinois and had a horrible experience. I went to go buy two 12 packs of pop and did t want the third. It would go to waste and I am not into wasting food. Then when I left I never got my 100 in cash back. I had to go back in, I am glad I noticed before I got home. I know people make mistakes and I am not mad about that but really upset with the lack of caring. They were so focused on the pop and telling me that all other stores have that policy that they blew off the fact that I never got my 100 dollars back and were like sorry about the money. I did get it back but it took more time. I think I will find somewhere else to shop. I would rather drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Mariano's where I am treated with respect. I probably would have bought the three 12 packs but not after being treated that way/. I would rather give my money to a store that has good customer service. I know this will probably fall into dead ears but I am very upset. I am just so upset because I like shopping at jewel. I will admit I did swear a little but 100 dollars is a lot of money and I got little sympathy from them. Again it's not the cashiers fault...everyone makes mistakes, it was the way it was dealt with in the managers end. If I ever go to another one again it will not be the one in Oak Forest. The manager was like "what else do you want me to do?" I think the thing that should have been said was that what can we do to make you happy instead of saying all other stores have the same policy. So he was pushing me to go to a different store (he mentioned food for less) so I guess that where I will go from now on. I hope that I hear back about this issue.

taco dip
We are disappointed in the taco dip we purchased today. It was expensive and not made correctly. The refried beans, cream cheese and beef dip were missing; we only had cheese, olives, scallions, and tomatoes. Please see attached photos of product and receipt. I have been going to the Jewel Osco on Addison and Kedzie. I get my medication from this branch for the past 7 years. . However when I speak to an employee a certain Allison who is a bigot and racist, because of my accent starts to become rude on the phone. I spoke to her today about a mistake on one of my prescription that I picked up two weeks ago and they did not give me enough tablet. They only gave me 30 tablets instead of 90 because I have to take this tablet 3 times a day. This lady answered then told me it was not ready and yells stating do you want it to be ready now. I was at work and cannot really argue with her over the phone. Told me supervisor will speak with me, she placed on hold for a long time. Pharmacist Lori came on the phone and she cannot see my file for May and promised to call me back and was asking her how do I file a complaint. She kept avoiding answering my question. Two hours later I have not heard from Osco Drug. Corp[orate should be looking at these people that works for them at this Addison Kedzie branch because they soon lose their customers because of their being rude and incompetence in treating their customers.

I shop at your 87th ridgeland location for two years now. Lately I been traveling extra five mins and shopping at petes. I got tired of bringing my grocery in my house and I end up picking my groceries from the floor cause your bags always breaks. I even ask to double bag and still the same problem. I am tired of such unfriendly cashier and baggers. I say thank you to the baggers completely ignored. Your cashier roll there eyes at you if you ask question. The only nice experience I had is with the lady behind the butcher counter she always helps me and extremely friendly. I use to shop so much by you guys she even asked me where have I been. I told her I been going to petes. The same thing happen today had to pick my groceries off the floor I will take 1000 groceries budget that I spend a month and go to petes. Thought you should know with all the competition u guys need to raise the bar or you will keep loosing customers

I have been ordering cookie cakes for all of my events from this Jewel for over a year since I moved here. I went into the Jewel today, June 4th, 2017 at approximately 12:30-1:30pm. The young lady with black hair behind the counter was very rude and had an attitude after my 3 year old daughter & I told her what she wanted decorated on her cookie cake. This young lady tells me they don't decorate cookie cakes like this. I then explained to her that I have been ordering cookie cakes from this Jewel for over a year and it was NEVER a problem previously. I just ordered the last two in Feb and Mar for my other daughters birthdays. I asked for a very simple request of a cookie cake with purple frosting and a black dog on it... as my 3 year old daughter requested for her birthday... and this lady told me if they don't have a picture of it in the bakery they cannot draw it. I have never heard anything more ridiculous in my life. For my other daughters cakes they always just googled images as a reference. It is a shame because I never had anything bad to say about this Jewel until now. I make a special trip to this one every time I need Jewel. I have one closer2 blocks from me but I always drive miles for this one. I will never do that again. I will never order anything for my special events from here ever again. I have never seen such ignorance toward a 3 year old requesting a simple cookie cake. This Jewel should be embarrassed. You will never get my business again and that is very disappointing because I enjoy shopping there and I enjoy ordering my cakes and trays for special events. Because of 1 girl in the bakery who was ignorant I will not spend a dime here again. My poor 3 year old daughter who was very much looking forward to this trip today to order her cake now has nothing for her birthday on Tuesday, June 6th. I am very disappointed.

I would first like to say that my family and I have been shopping at Jewel-Osco for multiple years now, we have benefited from the convenience and I would like to thank you for that. However, my recent experiences have tainted my view of the company. For example, on this past Sunday (May 28th, 2017) I was doing my weekly grocery run, as I entered my Jewel-Osco located at 2031 Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187, and I was greeted with a half-powered store. Although it was a nuisance, the problem was in the lack of service the customers received. Without any announcements, I had to figure out the problem for myself. I was taken back when other customers walked in and asked an employee if the store was open, the employee rudely dismissed the customer with a simple answer of "Yes", when a much more complex answer should have been given. I understand that it was out of the employee's control, and they were just as frustrated, but they should have communicated clearly and politely to the customers as half the store was not in service and in the dark. As if this was not a headache of an experience, as I was checking out my food began to pile up and I noticed that the bagger left my station unannounced, and I had to bag all of my groceries. I know this was a one time event, but the company has been losing what makes it the store I once knew it to be. I hope that this story will not only help the service at my local Jewel-Osco but many others.

Almost 90 percent of the time I go to the Frankfort Jewel on Route 30 and Lagrange Road, I have to bag my own groceries. You should be embarrassed that there are never enough baggers and I am doing their job. I am not sure if Jewel doesn't want to spend the money or what the issue is. Time is everything these days and I am not going to wait while the cashier is trying to help me bag. This is the only store I have EVER had to bag my own groceries. Yesterday, it was a busy holiday and there was one bagger for 5 lanes. Then other people in my line commented this happens all the time. I just want to make you aware of why you are losing customers.

I spoke to Patrick at the 75th and Stony Island store regarding the"cheep" chicken. He politely informed me that it was a corporate sponsored play on words. If this the case, cheep should be in quotation marks as not to have the store manager seeming unaware of grammar and speeling. It also presents a poor corporate Image. Perhaps the PR team and be a little more visually creative in order to convey the humor.
