Writing for your help in this matter. On September 17th we flew from Pittsburgh, PA to Panama City Beach for vacation. We booked the La Quinta hotel through 9/24 and then extended our reservation thru 9/25. On Thursday, 9/19 we went over to Mobile, Alabama for a food tour and from there decided to go over to New Orleans for a day or 2. However, I had some unplanned medical issues and was admitted to the hospital in New Orleans. Due to the lengthy drive back to Panama City and the expected hurricane we have decided not to drive back to Panama City Beach.
We asked to have the luggage and clothing from the hotel shipped to our home address in Pittsburgh; however, we are not getting any cooperation with the people at the hotel. Initially they said they would pack our belongings but would not take them to UPS. We hired a courier to pick up the package at the hotel and deliver it to UPS. We were told by the hotel to call at 8:15 am when the courier arrived and give verbal permission for them to accept the package. We called at 8:15am and gave verbal permission. We received a message from the courier later that indicated they were not able to get the package because the hotel would not give them the information they needed. With the medical issues I had to deal with over the last few days this has been a great source of anxiety not only to have to make calls and arrangements but to not have the cooperation needed to do so. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
