Credit card - over charges of interest
Dear Mashreq bank team, I'm writing to express my severe disappointment and anger by cheating my bank. I took a credit card loan amount of AED 6000 from mashreq bank on 19.01.2018 with 02 year installment (my credit card number is [protected]). I have already paid two installment on February AED 500 and March AED320. But this month I decided to close my loan without any dues. As I discussed with banking representative, they said I have to pay AED 6341/- to settle the loan, then I remitted AED 6400 by ATM deposit on 19.04.2018. Now, the total paid amount is 500+320+6400 = AED 7220/- and AED 59 is credit balance in my credit card. The extra amount paid for 02 month is AED [protected]) and now, banking customer care team is saying again I have to pay AED 46 to closed my loan because of I have to pay loan closing charge AED 105.
Now, I have total Four credit card and first time I am facing such a bad experiences in my life.
Please let me know, why you have charged this much of amount from me within 02 month period of time.

Credit card closure
I requested for change of bank from Mashreq bank to Doha bank. After unnecessary delay of issuing liability and clearance letter which took over 2 month. The letter was issued on 27th march and thr credit card was closed on 130th March 2018. I got report from credit bureau that my credit card issued by mashreq is still active. After checking from the bank I was told it will be closed at credit bureau on the 4th April 2018. As at this time am sending the complaint the card is still active. Dear Mashreq bank team,
I'm writing to express my severe disappointment and anger to an urgent case. I received a call today from one of your cards center team to tell me that I used my credit card with 1800 LE and I have to pay, however I haven't used the credit card for months at all accordingly i called to check when and what was the transaction to find out that its 2 online transactions! This is a severe security issue as I didn't use the credit card online and I tried to activate using it online many time but I failed as there was always a problem with you to send me the pin code on my mobile to confirm any online transaction, so how come now your call center representative says i used it twice online! This is a major security issue and very urgent I except someone senior to contact me as soon as possible!
My card is under the name of Ayman Nagy el Sangak however for security issues for sure I cannot mention the card number on the email, I expect to be contacted for further clarification as soon as possible my number [protected]

i am a holder of mashreq global saver card ending with 0966, its been on hold from fraud dept from last 2 or 3 months, when i applied for personal loan application couldn't go through bcoz of yflag, i tried customer care saveral times to resolve this issue but they r saying they can't do any thing on this, can someone help me, i can also justify the transaction which they seems is suspicious, i was trying to pay my flat rent thats why i swapped the card in my company pos machine(i am not the owner only working for them)just thought why don't take advantage of facility available, but later realized that would end up in card hold, i hv all documents ready to justify this, can u please help in resolving this issue

International transfers /receiving and sending
On feb 17 2018 my former landlord transferred me back the rental deposit. Mashreq bank rejected the incoming amount into my account. After 16 days of complaining and questioning the reason why the wired money was rejected, they haven't told the reason why. They just don't know!
On feb 19 2018 I wired money from my mashreq account to an account in europe. After 16 days (and of course several complaints and visits to the branch) they haven't provided me with a reason why the money never reached the destination. On march 3, I received a "money transfer" from mashreq london into my account. Apparently it is the money of my unsuccessful transfer on feb 19... Get this: my transfer amount was 702.70 aed and mashreq has returned me the amount of 529.41 aed

Clearance certificate for the credit card payment
I had used the credit card and some amount was pending for the payment in Year 2000. In the year 2003 mashreq bank appointed an recovery agent who took the amount on their behalf. They took the payment in 2 installments and we thought the matter is now closed. After 16 years some other agent approched us for the pending payment to which we advised that the payment was already settled in 2003. Then they started asking the clearance certificate from bank, which was not issued to us in 2003.
This is clear case of cheating and harrasment to the consumers to paid and the agents are again trying to recover the amount.
Very fraudlant bank.
Mashreq solitaire credit card yearly annual fee charges scam
Dear Mashreq,
In Reference with Ticket REF-7309135-M7W5G3 CRM:[protected].
It was promised to me that Mashreq Solitaire Credit card yearly premium amount will be given back as a cash back points.
Every year in the month of December I will pay the amount 1500 AED, and will receive 1650 AED worth of points.
In 2017 Dec I paid 1500 AED, I only received 700 AED of points.
This was my first experience in my life I see very big scam in credit card.
We only agreed on certain conditions by phone call on which I am using my credit cards.
Mashreq bank misuse the terms and conditions the way they need.
The terms and conditions should be transparent and should be customer focused.
Mashreq should inform me by Phone call about the new features and benefits.
Without proper communication the money has been deducted, 800 AED is very huge amount.
So I requested to consider above and kindly wave-off my deducted money or provide me as a cash back points.
In-regards to the call and discussion with Mashreq Call center, I am not satisfied that the amount deducted for annual charge fee for Solitaire credit card will not be reverted back has a cash back points.
I agreed to take the Mashreq Solitaire credit card as the money will be given back as the cash back points.
It was informed to me by phone call by mashreq bank about the solitaire card and promised to pay back as a cash back points every year.
I am not aware that policy been changed, it was not informed to me by email or by phone call when the policy is changed.
Please Help me to revert back as cash points or revert back the annual fee as my utilization of the solitaire card is not worth for paying 1500 AED.

Credit card - misleading information
Hi I am using Mashreq Bank Credit Card for a long time, there are some issues related to information on the website which is different from actual.
This time I got the monthly e-statement which shows credit card cash back points against the purchase I have made from Mashreq merchant partner which shows eligibility for 5% cashback also mentioned in the statements but in reality, I got only 1.05 % cashback of total amount.

Promotion scam
school fees promotion was advertised by SMS in August 2017, as per requirement I have sent a SMS to designated number and received confirmation that I am enrolled in the promotion .
Further I called the bank to confirm that I am paying the whole year school fees to avail of the promotion and then went ahead with payment .
No sign of the promised IPAD till September, upon calling the call center I was asked to wait for a month .
Again called in October and they informed me it will be sent shortly .
Dis appointed that a simple activity like this has taken 4 months to fulfil I called the call centre on 07 December 8-48 pm, and was attended by the agent Mohammed khalid.
He started with the first step of identifications and verifications and later proceeded to tell me that I have not enrolled for the promotion hence not eligible for the gift.
He was unable to be of any use and demanded to see the sms sent by the bank or else the matter cannot proceed further.
The question here is
If there was some issue due to which the gift could not be given why I was not informed of this ?
No info or calls from the bank on this subject inspite of my queries ?
Why now that I get this shock after I call to enquire and after 4 months ?
How come there is no record of my SMS in the bank records .
please see proof of sms attached which I have retrieved with great efforts because a major entity as Mashreq Bank could not do it ?
Please resolve my complaint as still waiting for the IPAD.
Advise to other readers, deal with respectable banks and stay away from scams.

I requested this on 3 January 2018. I need a clearance certificate, and still no feedback.
It is 2 months now since I started this process but with no satisfaction, and I have been "million" times to the branch as help is not available over the telephone or email. This is causing a lot of inconvenience.
I went to the West Bay branch and I was told by the CSR that it is the 1st time he is doing this and he is standing in for someone and there is a shortage of staff, so I should be patient. Alhamdulillah with the grace of Allah I have been but very frustrated at this kind of service.
The worst bank in uae . The bankers thinks ee the customers are serving them what a frustrating institution
Mashreq Bank service is not good and they do not tell truth to the customer if you go and ask for clearance certificate

This is to inform about how i got cheated while dealing with your bank.I applied for credit card based on brand value and trust on mashreq bank.But absolutely bank has cheated me by forcing me to signing in the blank credit card application by the sales executive added the insurance product without my knowledge.I signed in the blank application form with the trust on bank and the sales executive promised he will fill the form and will send me copy.After signing form I got verification call only for credit card appplication and later once they issued card not any communication for insurance product.sales executive cheated me both ways he promised me along with credit card movie ticket offer was there later I realized not there and when I called him for soft copy of application he never answered.when I lodge complaint service officer told you signed form so you need to pay.From this I understand mashreq bank is cheating customer and supporting sales executives to cheat people.
I just send this mail to inform I am going to close this credit card on immediate effect as I don't want to continue with a bank which can't trust.

Dear Sir,
I am having Debit Card no.[protected] . My name is Kashmir Lal Rawal. My Account No. is [protected].
On 06th of January, 2018, I swiped my debit card at etisalat center, burjuman, Dubai for AED 153.85. But the POS Machine was not O.K. and so the receipt did not come out . The counter person rectified the machine and asked me to swipe again, which i did. This time the receipt came out .
But my account has been debited Twice for an amount of AED 153.85 while etisalat has received payment only Once .
My account has been debited first time on 06 Jan at 18.08.21 PM and second time on 06 Jan at 18.08.23 PM.
I, therefore request you to credit my account with an amt of AED 153.85 which has been debited wrongly.

Me and my company is a long time client of masheq bank but they are not giving importance to the client. Very bad experience.
I ask help from customer service but all they can say is not possible. I am working in customer service as well and nothing is impossible especially if the client is valuable to us. I told them to remove the late payment charge since I made a mistake of paying adcb instead of mashreq because am flying out of the country at that time. I transferred my personal Loan to Mashreq bank from ADCB, recently, loan got approved and the balanced amount credited to my account after the settlement in ADCB. Unfortunately, I did not receive any Couriers from the bank. providing loan details, salary account details, no debit card revived, no check book received, for the last 6 months I didn't go for any vacation too. Many times, I visited your Abu Dhabi Khalifa street branch, they said, it is an IT Department issue, they also sent many mails and reminders, unfortunately, they didn't resolve the issue yet. I am now not able to draw the money as my signature is not detecting in your system, and as we know, there will be a 3-4 days holidays in this week, so i should draw the money today itself. I request you to resolve the issue and make it possible today.

I have visited mashreq bank abu dhabi salam street & electra today mornong for a liability letter..any if branch does not have branch managers and staff also doesnt know when the manager will be coming. My name is shahid and I have been trying to resolve my issue regarding opening an account with mashreq.
As I have already applied online for E-account and after going through all steps online I have also attached my documents requested online, however after all the steps I get msg on screen thanking me to opening an account but it says it cannot process at the moment which I dint understand why is that so.and it also says that I will receive call from concerned department with in 48hours. But it's 6 days now I haven't received any call regarding my account.. This is satish applied a personal finance on oct 4th but due to salary deviation it is not approved but still it is showing application active in ETHIHAD CREDIT BEURO which is making trouble as in another banks also iam not able to get the loan because of your delay in cancelling in credit beuro.Here iam attaching my credit report for ur reference.so please raise a complaint regarding this issue to solve my problem immediately it has been a long time till your are not solving the problem. after cancelling just give me the proof of cancelling credit beuro immediately.
