Bravos washing machine purchased 01/02/2016
This week computer board fried it self. Machine just stopped, I unplug it to reset machine, when plug in again it started again all by it self I never touch any part of it, with no lights. I called you got a appointment four 3 weeks out. The machine is label model # MVWX655DW1 Your warrenty card is printed MVW655DW0. Serial number 5364165. Trying to track this down. My service man finds that Whirlpool is not manufacturing this part any longer! So I have a machine warrented for 10years that cannot be repaired. Because you are not manufacturing the parts. This service call cost me 95.00 Before this unit I have owned two previous Maytag each lasting 20 yrs. Never needing the Maytag man. I guess you no longer practice the "quality goes in before the name goes on."

Commercial Washer Model # MVW7232HWO
Maytag top load Commercial Washer has continuous problems: OOB (out of balance), clothes can only be filled to a certain measurement (about 1-2 inches between a dot and line) no higher, no lower said repair tech yesterday or it will go out of balance. We were never told this or read this in sales manual. How do you wash a couple of sweaters in cold on the delicate cycle. Impossible repair tech said, it needs to be filled to that imaginary line between the circle and line OR WILL GO OUT OF BALANCE (OOB). Expect towels to finish the towel cycle wet and soggy although machine says "Washing Complete" then expect to attempt to do the drain and spin cycle another 21 min to get the soggy out. Then be told you are not loading your machine correctly! We never had any of these issues with other machines despite years of doing laundry by washing machine. Then to be told by Maytag Customer Service that only option is to keep calling service with out warranty. We have had the machine 4 months and always problems and also a very very noisy spin cycle like machine is going thru the wall. We need our money back to buy other than Maytag.

Serious Quality and Design Issues
The Washer/Dryer Combo I purchased for over $1500 is complete junk! The first washer had transmission failure out of the box. It makes grind and loud screeching noise when it has 5 Bath sheets to wash. WORTHLESS! The dryer is so light and flimsy it moves across the floor when in operation. The link trap never catches lint as it falls off and into the machine when trying to remove the link trap. What little it does catch ends up on top of the machine. If I ever find who designed this, they had better hide! My entire home has been Whirlpool all my life, and that ended with this purchase. Their customer service is worse than any I've ever tried to use, and end up ignoring you. I will be getting new units and will be displaying my junk at a public square with a sign on it to show all the problems. It's the only recourse I have about a company who won't stand by their product or give me a refund in the 1st month of purchase. I'M DONE WITH THESE CROOKS!

The lid is too heavy and the hinge will break.
This unit has a huge, heavy flaw. The lid is too big for its hinge. It separated over time, stopped closing correctly, and had to be held down to lock shut to start a cycle. I had a 3 year warranty that we used 2 years in. The day after the new lid was installed it started to separate at the same spot as the old one. It's just a matter of time before I have to pay $200 for a new lid. They need to make a lightweight metal lid you mend the issue. It washes great.
Desired outcome: I'd like to see Maytag provide a lightweight metal lid to mend the issue.

Stove range
I purchased the Maytag range in 2019. I didn't purchased the warranty because my last range (Kenmore) lasted 10 yrs and continued to work without any service. I only purchased a new one to match a new refrigerator. The Maytag oven stopped working only after 2 yrs and now it's going to cost close to $500 with visit, parts and labor to repair. On top of that they cannot tell me when the part will be available though they requested partial payment. This is ridiculous and I shouldn't have to pay for this as it appears to be a manufacturer defect. I will never purchase a Maytag product again and will share with family and friends. This is totally unfair to the consumer and robbery.

Maytag microwave oven
It is simply impossible to be able to reach the burned out light bulb in my Maytag over the counter microwave. I have removed everything needed to locate the interior light but there is absolutely no way to reach the bulb to remove it. I cannot afford to pay $100+ for a service call to put in a light bulb...so have to do without an interior light. I think your engineering team needs to know about this flaw in your otherwise good microwave.
Desired outcome: A free service call to replace the interior light bulb, from a Maytag repair person.
Maytag washer
I bought a Maytag washer model # MVWB865GW1 and I absolutely hate it! It leaves a white residue on all dark colored clothing and has ruined them. I use HE tide pods. Not sure where residue is coming from. I have tried different settings hoping It would fix the problem but it has not. Just recently I poured a few buckets of water into the load of dark clothes and this seemed to have left less residue. I wanted to do my part in conserving water with the new washer but when I find myself washing the same load 2 to 3 times and manually adding water …..makes no sense. I miss my Kenmore that I had for close to 20 years.

Builder got stove with no instructions or registration.
11/23/2021 - we placed party mix in the oven at 255 degrees.
After 45 minutes, the stove went to BROIL BY ITSELF. The party mix
caught on fire. If we had not been home, the kitchen would have caught
fire. We had stove destroyed and bought a kitchen aid stove.

maytag-mvwb835dw4 washer lid breaking and part availability
Bought this Washer with matching Dryer in June of 2019 from Lowes. When looking through the reviews on this washer, and I seen nothing about the lid breaking and causing the it to not lock and start the cycle. I am currently trying to find a lid replacement and they are sold out all over the internet except where they are the most expensive... Through Maytag directly. I am so disappointed that with the continuity of lids breaking, there has not been a revision or even a substitute for the fragile and poorly designed lid. I am also displeased that the lids are so difficult to find due to the limited availability. My warranty expired. Never would I have imagined a situation of part of the washer breaking and not being able to fix it or buy parts for it. With the probability of another lid breaking in the next year, I could buy a washer from GE for the cost of the 2 lids.

Maytag Fridge MSC2C6MFZSS - one year old stopped working
Bought this fridge one year ago this month. All of a sudden it just stopped working. Stopped cooling, stopped running. Maytag agreed to extend the warranty since it's only been a few days past the one year warranty but we can't get anyone to come out and repair the fridge cause they told us they don't do warranty work for Maytag cause they never get paid. That's is NOT GOOD! Whatever happened to the lonely Maytag repairman? I don't think it's too much to ask that a fridge costing $1800 last longer than one year. I'm totally disgusted and will never buy anything from Maytag again.

Top load washing machine
Why does my washer not fill up with enough water to get a small/medium load wet? (I know better than try a large load). Even after two rinses the clothes on top are still dry, so I know they can't be clean. The salesman told me that all the washers have a sensor in order to conserve water. How is it conserving water when I have to carry buckets of water from the bathtub and pour into the washing machine? Have we de-volved? I feel like my grandmother, carrying water from the well to wash clothes. I may as well take them to the creek and beat them against the rocks, at least they'd get wet! I put the dial to 'deep water wash' and still can't wash more than 5-6 items. That's discouraging. I've only had this washer less than a year and tried everything I know to do and still have to add buckets of water. You need to fire the man, yes I said man, that designs washers and hire a woman, the one that actually does the laundry to design a washer that doesn't take you back 60 years.
I didn't really care for the front loader that I had (which is why I changed) but at least it did rinse the soap off the clothes.
Desired outcome: A washer that will fill up with enough water to get a medium size load of clothes wet.
Maytag is a brand we all know. They have the commercials with the nice Maytag man, and how he is so sad at times because there is never anything for him to repair. Well, that is not the case. I purchased a May in July of 2019 and the drum inside of the top load washer will not spend. We called to inquire about the 10-year warranty that we have with the washer machine. Now, when we purchased the washer it had stickers in bright neon yellow, boasting a 10-year worry-free warranty. Well, it does not cover anything that will go wrong with your machine. Instead, when you call they will tell you that even if was something that was covered you will have to pay for the repairman to fix it. Right then they tell you to avoid having to pay for the repairman you should get an extended warranty that will cost you around 38 dollars a month, So, for a machine that is three years old and purchased for $698.00, another $368.00. You just do not expect this kind of deceit or manipulation of their customers. I am very disappointed in this brand. Perhaps it's a universal policy amongst all the brands, but I am not sure, probably because my last washer was a Kenmore and it lasted almost twenty years. After three years I have to decide if it's more practical to purchase a new washer machine or get raked over the coals by the crooked Maytag Man.
jan i hope you get your issues resolved there are so many of us that has the same or worse problems your issues are exactly the same as mine , apparently Maytag does not care about the amount of money they steal from us , selling bogus machine and if thats not enough the frustration of dragging clothes to laundry mat is enough to put us over the edge spend 1000.00 just to be miserable MAYTAG has become UNAMERICAN, and people need to know , i read all these complaints and no one tells a story of how MAYTAG has resolved their issues . so good luck , if nothing else works report them to better business bureau, maybe they will give some advice..

Bought this machine on line (because of COVIV) at Brault and Martineau in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada back in April 2021. Delivery of machine was fine.
The machine worked for a few months but in July 2021 it started acting up by not emptying properly. I had to run the laundry machine on the rinse and spin cycle before putting the clothers in the dryer. I thought it was just bad luck because sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.
I reported the problem to Maytag and the first service call was done on August 31, 2021. The technicien was here for about 20 minutes doing something under the machine. He proceded to explain that I should not change the position of the buttons. I thought buttons on a laundry machine were made to be touched and changed depending on what you want to wash. This is not my first laundry machine and saying stuff like do not touch or change the buttons on a laundry machine is absolutely rediculous. The problem continued.
The second service call was on September 16, 2021 conducted by the same technicien. He was very upset that I had touched and changed the buttons on the laundry machine. He started called me bull-headed, he was extremely impolite to the point where he scared me. I asked him to let me talk but he left slamming my front door instead. I reported the technicien to Maytag. The problem continued.
The third call was set for September 28, 2021 but no technicien showed - they couldn't find an explanation why the technicien didn't show. I called Maytag again but couldn't get another appointment before October 6, 2021. By then the liquid soap was not diluting in the water.
The fourth call was on October 6, 2021. Two techniciens arrived to test the machine. They said that they would have to order a part to fix the machine. I asked how long it would take, they couldn't answer.
On October 28, 2021 I called to check when would they be coming to change the defective part(s). Nobody knew about parts being ordered for this laundry machine. I then asked to speak to the Manager or General Manager of Service. By this time I knew I was getting the run around.
On October 28, 2021 it was agreed by me and the Manager or General Manager of service that the laundry machine would be replaced at no cost. They gave me file number J751567 to deal directly with Brault and Martineau in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. I called and ordered a new machine on-line (NOT MAYTAG).
When Brault and Martineau arrived on October 13 with the new laundry machine they refused to the exchange because I had cut the exit water hose ($20 at Canadian Tire) for easy transportation. So here I am on October 13 with no laundry machine. I will be buying a new machine at Costco tomorrow because I know Maytag will continue to find every way possible to not reimburse me.
This has caused me health problems (depression). I feeled totally defeated by companies such as yours.
Still trying to figure out where is the client satisfaction in all of this because I certainly do not have satisfaction in this case at all. Being a single, older and not healthy women I cannot continue this fight anymore nor can I continue to carry my laundry bags to other places to be done. You win Maytag, you stole my money Maytag and you are a disgraceful company. Shame on you for taking advantage of people.

Dishwasher
Purchased is 2017. Just a few days after the 1-year warranty expired - the entire pump assembly went out. Maytag paid for the parts and I paid the labor but that made me iffy on product quality. Fast forward to 2021. The same problem has come back as verified by your ASI appliance tech. The same problem - really? $525 to fix. There does appear to be a real quality issue either with this pump assembly or this dishwasher in general. My dishwasher is registered with Maytag so yo should be able to pull the details of the previous fix if needed. Because of the recurring nature of this problem, I am asking Maytag to foot the bill for the pump parts and I will foot the labor. Otherwise, it will be better if I just replace altogether with something other than a Maytag.

Washer mvwb835dw2 lid
The left corner of the lid began to crack slightly (underside) approximately 9 monthsago and we had to hold that corner down in order for the lid to lock. It has become worse and now the whole structure is starting to come apart. Replacement lid is over $300 with shipping and backordered. How could this happen with a top of the line washer we paid top price for 4 years ago?. How could this part have been so poorly designed and manufactured? We have not misused or abused it in any way. I've researched the internet and see that there are numerous complaints about this same problem.
We have previously had two Maytag washers that worked perfectly with no problems whatsoever (one for 5 years and the other for 10) and were sold with our house only because we moved long distance. They are perhaps still working today. That's why we confidently purchased yet another.
I grew up with Maytag washers and my mother and all my aunts swore they were the best.
If Maytag cannot supply us with a replacement part promptly free of charge this will be the last Maytag anything I will ever buy and assure you I will scream LOUDLY on every consumer internet site appropriate as well as filing complaints with government agencies.

Brand new top load washer (MVW6200KW) stopped working mid wash, full of water. Family with three children now without a washing machine for months going into the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The short path to the end of the story is do not expect support or coverage from Maytag/Whirlpool. Their products and support are not reliable. They will keep dragging out the issue until you have no choice but to buy a different washing machine any way./
February 2021 - New washing machine installed by Home Depot
September 7, 2021 - Stopped working called support. Earliest technician date is 2 weeks later on September, 28.
September 28 - Technician claims failed control board part ordered. Told to follow up in 2 weeks if I hear nothing.
October 13 - Heard nothing, was told by Maytag/Whirlpool customer experience team their process requires 21 business days before escalating to replacement. Must call back 2 weeks later on October 29.
October 28 - Called back desperate for solution. They forwarded to "product exchange team". Told me I must give them 5 business days to process. Need to call back in one week on November 5.
November 2 - Followed up with "product exchange team" to check on the process. They said that they are still looking for part. Must call back on November 5.
November 5 - "Product exchange team" thinks they might have found a part but won't know until Monday.

I have a maytag dryer that quit working, had an e1 code. Come to find out your company discontinued in 2019 the ‘board' on the front of our front loader we bought some 12 yrs ago. You discontinued a part‼️ we cannot fix our dryer, in pretty good condition. I will never buy your product again and I will let everyone I can about your discontinuing parts.
My husband was in the heating and air conditioning business for over 20 yrs. And always was able to find parts for very old models, or having a versatile part exchange. I am going with a new brand, god forbid my washing machine, dishwasher, oven and refrigerator goes out. I am so angry and upset!

I purchased this refrigerator November 2, 2021. Since that time I have had three refrigerators in my home, each failing for separate reasons. I am now in the position of living out of a dorm refrigerator for over six weeks and Thanksgiving is about three weeks away. Maytag has shuttled their responsibility for warranty service onto my home warranty company and my home warranty company has been unable to find a provider. I just want a refund so I can go find a refrigerator before the holiday.

Top loading washer fails but out of warranty
It hurts me to write this as I've been loyal Maytag customer for years, and the reason being is they used to make quality products. I bought a top-loading washer in 2019 after my previous washer (also a Maytag) finally started leaking after 30 years of use. The new washer was great until it started making a terrible squeal after about 18 months. I used their service scheduler to connect to a local authorized tech. The tech company was great and they have come out three times to address the issue. The first appointment was an assessment that led to new shocks for the basket. That did not solve the problem even after the tech utilized the Maytag support forums to try different configurations. So we escalated to the parts in the drive motor that could be swapped easier. That did not solve the problem so finally it was determined to most likely need a complete transmission replacement. Less than 3 years old and a full transmission replacement is quite unexpected, so the tech company advised that I reach out to Whirlpool and see if they could cover because I had already spent a few hundred dollars on parts and labor out of my own pocket.
I called Whirlpool twice. The first time I spoke to a very nice woman who looked up my information and placed me on hold so she could check with the technical service company who had come out. When she connected to them there was a delay in the paperwork and she couldn't get the latest information and suggested I follow up with them. I did and once they caught up on their end I called Whirlpool back and waited on the line for about 40 minutes prior to being connected to another representative. This rep basically told me there's nothing he nor "anyone else here" can do. I wasn't offered any additional assistance, he didn't follow up with the tech company who had performed the work, he didn't try to resolve my problem in any way. I told him it's disappointing that I will have to shop around beyond Maytag because if their quality has fallen so poorly (a complete breakdown in less than 3 years for a major appliance is below standard) and they no longer offer their great customer support, they are just like any other company. He did not seem to mind and told me good luck on finding another washer.
Desired outcome: I would like the opportunity to discuss additional parts coverage (not even full service coverage) as part of being a loyal customer to Maytag for decades instead of being told you don't even want my business.
Bravos washer and dryer
In march 2019 I purchased a Maytag bravos washer and dryer set model numbers MGDX655DW2 AND MVEX655DW1 These were some of the most expensive appliances at the store and being Maytag I was thinking I could get years with out having any issues much like my maytag washer from 1994 boy was I wrong.
The washer already had to have the lid switch replaced, the transmission replaced the strut replaced one and now needing them replaced again.
The dryer has had the sensors and the element replaced, the rollers replaced twice and now it looks like a motor to be replaced.
I found out after one year the only thing covered on the 10 year warranty is the motor so I ve been using a local repair service to mitigate the costs of the repairs but now to replace the dryer motor I need to use thier "approved" service company it they will not give me an upfront cost estimate or warrantee the motor so my affordable guy can install.
This has been the worse experience with any appliance company ever I should have bought the $299 appliances and just replace them every 3 years I'd be in the SE place financially but with working appliances. I'm looking for an attorney to possibly start a class action suit. Whirlpool/ Maytag have now pride in thier workmanship and it shows.

Mvwc565fw1 Centennial Washing machine DEAD after 3 years, repair the same price to replace
Bought this washing machine just over 3 years ago and left our original washer and dryer at our rental house. This Maytag seemed great but did sound pretty loud in the spin cycle as it spins so fast, always had issues with loads being unbalanced yet never had this issue with any other washers we have had. Recently it started to leak underneath from the gearbox shaft seal. The bearings have also worn out and are dry. I'm told that from the speed this washer spins it can cause the bearings to wear grease faster then others and as a result run hot causing the shaft seal to leak. How is it possible after 3 years I have a washer that will cost over $700 to repair when I bought it for $850 and they still sell them for the same price. Total disappointment especially since the last set we bought was 12 years ago and is still working fine at our rental property. Looking at this Maytag and the "commercial" quality just isn't there. The shaft is rusted, and can see pitting in the metal. The gearbox is not serviceable on this model so changing the bearings isn't possible meaning the whole gearbox has to be replaced. From my understanding the replacement would be another gearbox and new support dampers which are the same as the ones that originally came with my washer so the hope from this repair would be I would get another 3 years for the same price as a new machine. Not what I would have expected from getting a Maytag "Commercial" appliance. Is this possibly a quality issue that Maytag knows about and is covering parts on? A recall possibly? What is Maytags stand on this? Is 3 years the life expectancy of there commercial line?
Desired outcome: Replacement parts: Gearbox, suspension springs, hub. Discounted replacement washing machine.
