paying too much for cedar point tickets halloweekend
I am upset because this past October 2017 I wanted to purchase cedar point Halloween and tickets I went to my Meijer went to customer service it says save on cedar point ticket so I ask her how much are the tickets then she tells me it would b just about 60 because tickets at gate are 75 dollars so I'm like whatever ok so I buy 2 tickets at 61 each just to find out that tickets online and at the gate at cedar point are 40 so you guys are over charging by 20 and it's false advertisement and it's a lie and if this isn't resolved I'm gonna get a hold of better business bureau and tell everyone I know not to ever buy tickets from you guys because you over charge for them.
use of coupons, mperks on prescriptions and groceries
I have a complaint about how you redeem the meijer custom and mperks coupons. If you use a coupon on buy one get one free the entire coupon comes off the free amount applied. So you have no savings of using the coupon.
Also I think you discriminate against customers who are over 65 on Medicare. You allow no use of mperk rewards or to use any in store coupons. We do pay every month for the prescription coverage to Medicare. Plus we have a secondary insurance we pay a monthly premium to. There are times when there is no savings on our medicine by using insurance. I have always used Meijer for our prescriptions but I, m seriously thinking about changing to another store. Your practice is hurting the people who are on limited incomes. They are not getting their drug coverage for free they pay premium every month.
male security door person
This pertains to the flossmoor, il Meijer in
The 60422 area.
I'm a frequent shopper at this location in flossmoor.
Recently I came from Franciscans hospital in olympiafields, where I have a family Member in
The ICU I went to shop for 9 of my family Members
To get ready made or prepared style foods, for
Lunch.
The security gentlemen finds its necessary to follow
And intimidate me my whole shopping experience
Even over by pizza counter pulling up a chair
From Starbucks and sitting next to me and just staring at me.
This older light skinned black gentlemen might
Think he's funny, but he's not in the future he will be
Photographed and videoed for a harassment complaint to meijer, or law suit.
Obviously he shouldn't be able to have contact with the public especially when he's a racist or has
Other issues.
I grew up in flossmoor and my family lived there for
40 years, and my family Members are very well known.
I personally have never been so insulted.
staff customer recognition
On a sturday 2/10/18 after spending $130 on a snow day after chicago residents have been working hard to get out your staff greeter scheduled around 11:30am setting in a chair in the front of store, stonefaced, not saying hello to one customer. I watched her. What is the point of a greeter who is not happy to make customers feel happy they are spending their hard earned money in your store. And helping to pay their salaries?
The cashier barbara never looked at me when I came to her line and greeted her cash register with the greeting like it was the customer. She stared straight at it welcoming it to meijers and did it find everything ok?
When I tried to hand her my coupons which she asked me for... She said wait until the end but your cashier supervisor and another employee took up the last minutes if my sale talking to her about what to cook today for dinner. I had to remind her I had coupons when she stated my total. I finally got her to look at me when I stared at her in giving me receipt. It is unacceptable on any day any time to treat customers dismissively and I will keep complaining as it is common place there until you do something. They are in the wrong job if they do not possess happy skills, welcoming skills, eye contact and courtesy. My receipt number is a0265042naia43s at 12:03pm 2/1/0/18. I have shopped there since you opened but you are slipping... When I said tot he greeter on my way out.. Nobody is smiling up in here today and she said — "dealin' with all this weather" and then smiled. She did not get it.. The comment was meant for her. Unbelievable up in there today. Even the lady in dlei fresj fish — no smile.. No catfich filets.. Not an I am sorry or I will check in back.. Can I get you some other fresh fish? So sad.
customer service
Absolutely no workers in check out lines. Several people waiting to check out. Three employees standing up front doing nothing. Reason given for no lines being open- short staffed. Seriously? Self check out only with a full cart of merchandise. What should have been a five minute checkout turned into a 20 minute check out. Very disappointed in any personal customer service. I wont be shopping here again.
meijer brand creamy peanut butter
We purchased a small jar of Meijer creamy peanut butter. There was a chunk of metal in the peanut butter than was bit into on a peanut butter sandwich. I can look at the jar for any identifying information if you could tell me what to look for. It could have broken a tooth and did cut my husbands lip. This is a product we purchase all of the time as he is a peanut butter fanactic so we are really worried about possible future incidents.
pharmacy
At the pharmacy counter on January 24th, inside the Midland pharmacy, I asked if I could use my coupon for my Viagra prescription? "We don't sell that brand here" I was told in a snippy voice, but she said "you can go to Good RX.com for that kind of drug". I said, "put that back then" & then she took both the Viagra and cholesterol medicines and walked away 6 feet without saying a word. Then she went to wait on the person behind me. I said, "well, wait, what about my cholesterol medicine?" Abigail said, "you said to put it back" and I said, no, I still wanted the cholesterol medicine." She then sighed and said, "what's your birthday again" in a sarcastic tone. Then she went back to get the medicine she had put back and stapled a red paper on it, which states to 'please request your refills in advance.' This doesn't make sense, as she took the filled script, put it back and then retrieved it off of the shelf. I felt Abigail was rude and judgmental because of the Viagra prescription, I was trying to fill.
employee
Found this photo on Facebook of an employee of store 194 Charlotte Mi saying and posing with Sandy the horse. It sickens me to think that this goes on at the store then gets posted on social media! Absolutely disgusting Employees should be held accountable for their actions. This employees name is Scott he should be reprimanded for this type of behavior and having it posted for all to see
employee handling my purchases at self checkout
I always use the self check out when I buy anything at Meier's. The reason
for this is I like to bag my purchases and I like to eliminate the amount of
people who handle my food. However, the last few times I was checking
out an employee who is monitoring the self check out area has come over
and touched and moved all my groceries to the end of the conveyor. He is
always wearing one blue rubber glove on his right hand and it is FILTHY. Of course this is the hand he touches all my food with. Gross! Obviously he is wearing this glove on his dominant hand to protect himself from germs. I almost walked out and left all my groceries there I was so p.o'd.
Please tell your employees they should ask if someone needs assistance
in the "Self Checkout" before touching and possibly contaminating customers food items. I shop at the Rochester Hills Michigan store on
Rochester Rd. And Auburn Rd. I have been shopping there for 27 years and
love the store. Thank You, Rosanne Johnson
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I know that others have touched items to place on shelves and produce needs to be washed. So are you saying I should have to wash my milk carton, my yogurt container etc? Everything this man touched with his filthy glove? HE WAS NOT BAGGING MY ITEM! HE WAS PUSHING THEM DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CONVEYOR AREA WITH HIS FILTHY GLOVE. TOTALLY USELESS HELP. I was preoccupied scanning my items when he did this and it was too late to say anything. I certainly don't need a lesson from you on common sense and washing produce. EDUCATE YOU STUPID EMPLOYEES. FYI; THERE IS A FLU EPEDIMIC IN THIS COUNTRY.
All you have to say is "Thank you but I want to bag my own groceries".
extremely poor service at the checkouts
We were at the Meijer on dix-Toledo rd in Lincoln park mi on 1-7-18 around 12:00pm the lines at the check outs were extremely long none of the cashiers seem to have any urgency about getting customers out. We waited in line between 45 min an a hour. the checkout lines were down the isles. No management in sight. This is ridiculous. I think I will start shopping at Walmart
produce
I went into meijer grocery store this morning around 10am, I purchased a bag of Honey Crisp apples by Stemilt, in which I have photos, when I went to put my apples in my basket I smelled a really yucky smell, and realized there was alot of slimy wetness on the apples, I pulled one out that was rotted and had a black looking thing on it.. Grossed me out! Don't even want apples at this point! Not to happy..
checking out
I shop the kokomo ind meijer at least twice a week so I should be a valued customer spending a lot of $ st this store. Check out people need to be trained to be polite and provide customer service; however my experience today was not acceptable . Leanna checked me out today sat dec .30th. And was very unhelpful and rude (after I spent $190.). I obviously had several items: I wanted her to scan a sweater that I was interested in because there was a discrepancy on the price tag. She told me that I needed to get the items off of the rounder before she could scan the sweater because she didn't have enough room ? Really. I didn't want to put the sweater on the belt and get it dirty. And shouldn't the personnel help you get your bags especially if you have several? I can find some where else to shop if this is how meijer expects to treat their customers. #[protected]@meijer
management
I was shopping at a Meijers on Alexis in toledo ohio and was having conversation with a manager named Dawn.
She literally called on of the employees "stupid" as that employee was standing there.
Where the hell is the respect!
Rudest thing that could ever be done
SICK.
I felt so bad for that employee i wanted to apologize for that managers actions.
I would never work for her
meijer as an employer
If I had been able to rate Meijer lower than 1 star, I would have. I worked for Meijer for a year and a half. Due to an illness I ended up getting hired to work there. I was told upon hiring, that I could have two scheduled days off per week. I was hired in as a part time cashier in the service department. Initially, I worked about 25 hours a week which is what I had agreed to when I was hired in, Meijer began scheduling me on the days they approved to give me off. Management was extremely rude when it was brought to their attention. Although originally agreed to, I was told that availability was subject to the discretion of the management. If they decided to schedule during times you are marked as unavailable there was no recorse. Union could not help with this even if was a condition under which you were hired.
Employees call in regularly leaving the rest of the shift shorthanded. Meijer had difficulty with retaining employees. Often, they leave after the first day or two. They remain on the schedule and Meijer allows the shift to ends up shorthanded. If you are scheduled expect to be held past your scheduled shift regularly. If someone quits they do not offer those hours to other employee. They just work shift shorthanded. Management also get bonuses for scheduling the least number of hours. Expect to deal with customers who are irritate over this and who will take it our on the employees. Meijer does offer insurance but only after you have been there a year.
Know that just because your schedule ends at a certain time-it does not mean you will be allowed to leave at that time. During the slow season you are sent home early or scheduled for the lowest possible number of hours. Full-time employees get most of the hour however, it's difficult to get full-time employment. Meijer works individuals up to the 6-month mark with full time hours and then reduces the amount of time scheduled so they will not have to pay out benefits. Chronic overworking of employees. Although breaks are supposed to be paid, you will not get them on time if you get them at all. You are expected to assist customers while you are on your break if approached. Lunch time is not paid for. Miejer states that if you do anything in your private life they don't agree with, they can fire you if they desire.
Management is untrained, often rude to employees and seldom are willing to do the job they are paid to do. Other employees do not work as hard and its allowed. Other employees will take longer that the half hour lunch and this will be allowed. Meijer states in there training that all employees are to be treated with dignity and respect, however this is not followed by most of the management. It is stated in training when you are first hired-they expect you to be honest with them at all times. Yet Miejer is often dishonest in most of their practices when it means taking advantage of employees. If there is a way to get around fair practices in work, Meijer knows how and uses it. This includes keeping employees in the dark aboutt Meije's own polices or misleading employees about policies.
Meijer does have a union. You will pay $40 a month in union dues, however don't expect them to do much other than take your money. They do not help with Management issues or scheduling. I attempted to contact my Union rep and was never called back after several attempts to reach them. This often happened to other employees. If you get ill and can't work you will be terminated there is no protection. I was injured on the job and called the day after I reported it by corporate. They spoke rudely to me and stated they would deny any claim that I would make. I had not even made a claim due to the back injury. Meijer takes every opportunity to squeeze the most out of there employees with little regard to there humanity or fair practice. They tried to impose ethics on employees but do not follow them in practice as an organization.
I was hired in at $9.40 an hour. People hired in after me, by two weeks, received $10.10 per hour. You will not receive regular raises. I was told by management I was not entitled to any paid off days the first year I worked there. After the deadline to receive my paid day off passed, I was informed I actually had one by other employees. These are not isolated issues. It speaks to the overall culture and character within Meijer as an organization, Meijer states they are trying to change the culture within Meijer. Until Meijer begins to value its employees and stops treating them like dirt, it will remain a difficult place to work the current culture will remain the status quo. I believe that its time Meijer be held accountable for its poor practices which bring down moral in their stores.
I'd start looking for a new job.
pharmacy drive thru
I dropped off a script around 10:00 am on wednesday December 21th, at the 13 mile Madison Hts. Meijer store drive thru. Asked the pharmacist how long it would take, she said about 30 minutes . One hour later I pulled up at the same drive thru window and waited behind another car. 5 minutes later I rolled up to the window made eye contact with the lady that just waited on me one hour ago, she's at the inside counter waiting on customers. We made eye contact a few more times while she was waiting on other customers or while she's waiting for more customers. The other lady {Liz} that was now working on the outside window, that helped the customer before me also knew I was there because she seen me while she waited on car in front of me. I waited there at least 10 minutes. Out of time and patience I decided to ring the bell, even know they are looking right at me. Would you believe Liz came right over and asked me if I needed help. WOW
After all that it took her at least 10 minutes to get my meds, she even went over and helped a customer inside while helping me.
pharmacy
Date: 12/19/2017
Time: 12:33pm
I went to Meijer Gaines Township location yesterday to pick up a prescription and waited 45 minutes for it to be ready, which was not a problem at all. When I went to pick my prescription the pharmacist said that my Blue Care Network policy was terminated on 11/30/2017, which was fine because I knew I was switching to ASR but I did not realize that would happen on 12/01/2017.
I gave her my ASR card and she stated that it was not active until 01/01/2018 and I would have to figure something out with my insurance and come back later.
Today, I called BCN to confirm my policy was terminated and called ASR who stated my policy started on 12/01/2017. So, rather than having a family member go pick up my prescription and be told my insurance with ASR was still not active, I called the pharmacy to confirm everything was okay.
I spoke to a representative & gave her my information but she was unable to assist me so she transferred me to a different pharmacist. The next pharmacist, named Brandy, asked for my information again, not realizing she was talking to me. I believe she thought she was talking to a provider or an insurance company but she proceeded to say "I don't know why they can't just come in, it is a pain in the butt and annoying".
Despite that she may not have realized she was speaking to the customer, its incredibly unprofessional to speak about members/customers to providers or anyone else for that matter. I realize it was inconvenient for me to call but it was inconvenient for me to jump through unnecessary hoops when I did have active coverage the night before.
hank meijer
I was in your Plainfield Meijer today, Saturday Dec 16, 2017. I was checking out. Hank Meijer was paying for customers baskets. After he was done, he gave the cashier a gift card with a"few" hundred bucks on it. His words. Really Meijer! What about all the other cashier's busting their humps for you!?! Don't they deserve a little something too? I am a life long customer and Plainfield Meijer is my store. I'm so disappointed in Hank Meijer. EVERY cashier & front end people were all working hard. It's sad and unbelievable he would only recognize one. I will be rethinking where I shop.
I truly believed Meijer was better than this and at Christmas... shame on you Mr Hank Meijer.
return of floor cleaner
I am highly upset with how rude the customer service rep was at the location in Lansing MI. On Saginaw Highway. We are trying to return our carpet cleaner and the lady wouldn't let us because we didn't have the physical receipt, only a digital. She called my mother a liar and a little [censor] and said she didn't have to deal with her [censor]. I want something done about this.
various
First, I placed an order in 1 hour photo. I picked it up and the inside of the card was printed backwards and upside down. I called to find out how to rectify this 4 or 5 times with no answer in photo, customer service 3rd me that they couldn't find anybody back there (toys, electronics, photo) to answer a phone to help me. She said they might all be in a meeting or maybe they weren't open yet (it was 11:15 am, really?). The customer service area also hung up on me when I stated I could barely hear them because of their background noise. This is not the first time I have had problems with my photo order, but I can guarantee you I will NOT pay for another item that is not printed right. If I have 200 photos, they will wait while I go through each and every one and discard those they can't seem to print correctly. Secondly, a few months back I was leaving that same store when the buzzer sounded. I ended up having a full blown panic attack in that parking lot and couldn't drive for a half hour thanks to that obnoxious buzzer! It was the 4th time in 3 weeks that it went off on me and I had paid for everything! I suffer from PTSD and Borderline Personality Disorder and having undue attention thrust upon and people staring at me me sends me into an anxiety/panic attack. I went through the self checkouts because my disorder also causes me to abstain from "small talk", however, through the self checkout you have no way of removing the security devices, thus the buzzer going off. You need to change the buzzer thing because I can guarantee you I am NOT the only one this happens to. So, I will NEVER stop again, EVER, if that buzzer goes off because I have done nothing wrong and I will not be stared at and have my bags gone through like a common criminal. I worked at Meijers for 6 years and I have to say that it looks like the standards of Meijer have gone downhill and are continuing to do so. I'm very disappointed with the Alma, MI store and this company in general. And I will also be taking my non grocery business elsewhere, so as not to have to deal with the anxiety walking out of that store gives me anymore!
I would recommend getting your photos printed elsewhere. Unfortunately store alarms going off will still happen to you wherever you go, albeit less frequently.
common items out of stock for weeks on end
I shop at Meijer weekly and have for thirty (plus!) years. The most convenient location is the DeWitt Meijer, so that's where I usually shop. I love the mPerks/rewards program and the one-stop-shopping.
But!
Diet A&W Root Beer. Is. Never. In. Stock.
Roasted Red Pepper Triscuits are seldom in stock. Why?
Naturally Good Kosher Sharp Cheddar Cheese...again, rarely in stock.
Sale items are not stocked in sufficient quantities - I mean, if they're gone in an hour then it's not a "sale"...it's a Blue Light Special. C'mon, guys. This is my store. The Bath location has too much leakage of hipsters from Okemos and East Lansing. Would someone puh-leeze take a look at the DeWitt, MI Meijer? There are a lot of people like me, you know.
