checkout lanes
I was at the store on February 15th. I realize I was checking out late (10:45pm), but the only lanes open were for self check out. This is fine, except when you have a large order (I had over 40 items). There is no room to put this many items, and the system won't allow you to bag and put them in your cart until you are completely finished with checking out. Overriding or solving this issue would have eliminated much of my disappointment. I had to carefully stuff all of my items on a very small table which only included 2 bag holders anyway. When I was finally finished, I was continually taking bags from the checkout in front of me to bag my items all the while the computer is constantly and annoyingly telling me to remove all of my items from the bagging area. Mind you, this a while when you have many items. The most frustrating and angering part of all of this was the fact that there were 2 cashiers (or checkout helpers-I'm unsure of their title) who were standing there just talking to each other. The store was not busy, and there were few, if any, other customers also checking out. Neither of them offered to help in any way to make my checkout experience easier. I would have liked to see them offer to open a regular lane, or at least offer to help me bag my items at the end or figure out a way to more easily self checkout with so many items. The table is not big enough for a large order. Not everyone who is shopping later in the evening is buying only a small number of items. I normally enjoy shopping at Meijer, but I was very disappointed in my experience there last night.
lied to in a interview.
Good afternoon,
Rencently I was interviewed for a new position at one of your new stores opening in Sheboygan WI. My first interview went smoothly and we both were very satisfied. Now my second interview I feel the man who interviewed me was very rude. He asked me why I wanted to leave my job I am at now to come to Meijers after 8 months.. My answer was because 1. I am looking for a company I can grow with. 2. I want more interaction than what I am getting now with customers/coworkers.. As of right now I go to work do my 8 hours of work solo don't see anyone and go home. I told him I am very much a people person and I want my customers to leave beyond satisfied and feeling great. He responded I see you prefer 3rd shift which yes I do but 3rd shift isn't a deal breaker at all. He replied well I don't think you would get anymore interaction with others at Miejers. And again I said politely I do understand 3rd shift can be much slower but I am open to all shifts. Right after I said that he said well all my questions are done do you have any for me I said no sir none at the moment. He said well I don't think your going to find what your looking for here but we are interviewing today and we all get together afterwards and pick who we chose and we will be back in touch either way. I shook his hand and we parted. I was lied to because they are hiring on the spot as my husband was hired from that same man. I don't understand why a man as a director of the west bend store couldn't just say I am not interested in you what so ever for this reason. I have solid strong work history. I was a military family for 11 yrs so my jobs I had different ones. I guess maybe I should ve happy that I didn't get hired as I wouldn't want to work for a company who lies to prospective employees. I have a very well rounded back round in customer service /management. And I know for me I have never lied at anyone I interviewed ever I was very straight forward with everyone. I felt compelled to say something after the same man hired my husband on the spot which I thought was pretty cold. But either way I wish the new Sheboygan the best and I will go ahead and take the other job offer I had. God bless.

Stopped at Meijer to pick up a few beers for the super bowl, employee named Kristie had a attitude while asking for my ID which I had ready in my hand. she rips my ID out of my hand then throws it back at me instead of handing it back. So I used my debit card and was about to get money back OUT OF MY ACCOUNT. She makes a decision about my bank account and...

I bought a pair of Lake & Trail work boots for my son on 12/08/18 for Christmas. Just a month later they are literally falling apart. I didn't get any satisfaction from the local Meijer where they were bought. If your going to sell a brand and that brand is linked to your company, why don't you stand behind it? Never again will I buy that brand and I wont recommend it to anyone!
Meijer is like that. Customer service desk is not always helpful.
fuel station (diesel)
I arrived on 1-23-19 at the Meijer fuel station #154 on 8225 E. 96th Street, Indpls, IN 317-585-2429 at 1:19 pm. Price of Diesel on this day was 2.599 per gallon. I went to the Diesel pump to fuel up. I was on pump #12. My truck says I should be getting 19.3 gallons of fuel. I figure that that number might be a little off by a half gallon or so. So I filled...

On Friday evening, January 18, 2019, I pulled into the Meijer pharmacy on West Saginaw in Lansing, MI to pick up a prescription I had ordered the day before. It was approximately 7:15pm when I pulled up. There was ONE car in front of me. After about 15 minutes I became a little antsy because I had to be at work at 8pm. Cars had begun to pull in behind me. At approximately 7:50pm, I felt my blood pressure start to rise and began to honk my horn furiously. The prudent person would have just drove off, right? Wrong. The drive thru is structured so that you are blocked in and can't get out unless the vehicle in front of you moves. Once I began to honk the horn, the customers ahead of me jumped out of the car and began to scream that they are getting their prescriptions filled. I then called inside and the person at the drive thru window answered the phone. I knew it was him because I was so close to the window that I could clearly hear every word he spoke, even when he asked me if he could place me on hold. My response "Absolutely Not, as I have waited in line long enough". I then explained to him that I was enraged and need to be let out of the line immediately because I also have a job that I need to be at in 10 minutes. The pharmacist then hung up on me. I got to the window and asked him if he had completely lost his mind. You cannot trap people in a drive thru line for nearly an hour while you fill a prescription. First of all, there's so many safety issues that I can't even begin to name them all but most importantly, if that customer could not be serviced in a time-frame that's becoming to the customers in the line, then they should have either been asked to come in or come back. If I had thought I could compose my anger enough to deal with the police, I would have called them. The pharmacist then proceeded to log off of his computer and walk away from the drive thru window.
Wow - really people. I'm with this guy - as a pharmacist - if you know it's going to take longer than 10 minutes - you ask the customer to please pull out of line - and they will text you when the script is ready and you can either pull back in line or come inside. I would not want to be held hostage in a line I couldn't get out of either. And how arrogant of the pharmacist to leave other people waiting that long when a script was already ready for the man 2nd in line and there would have been no waiting for this man. So maybe you all don't have a life and have no where to go, but I can definitely sympathize with this guy. The drive-thru is a convenience - waiting in line for more than 15 minutes for one customer is not convenient for anyone.
If you are too lazy to get out of your car and walk a few steps into the building that's your fault . If you didn't give yourself enough time to accommodate delays, that's your fault.
Prescriptions can take a while to fill, and being a rude jerk and in your own words, honk your horn furiously, helps nothing. If I was in the car in front of you I would have told you off too!
How would you like it if someone treated you that way? And you were inexcusably rude to the person in the pharmacy trying to assist you. If you had called the police, they would have laughed in your face.
Hopefully your prescription was to help you be less of a selfish self-centered jerk and learn how to behave in society.
pharmacy
I have now deal with two not great situations with the Charlotte Meijer Pharmacy. The first time I came in to fill a prescription for my son they left me walking around for an hour waiting for them to fill my son's prescription finally I had to walk up to them only to be told that their system was down and they could not fill my son's prescription. And now the second time I pulled up to the window at 6 was ignored while I was sitting there another young woman came up to the window and rudely told me that she was not going to fill my son's prescription today and then I was not there before the time that they closed arguing with me this whole time refusing to fill my son's prescription very unprofessional and I will not be using Meijer Pharmacy anymore let alone shopping at Meijer and I will be sharing my experience with all my friends and family and a large majority of social media

shipt delivery service thru meijer / told to withhold paper receipts from meijer
Let me start by saying, I have shopped at Meijer in Burton MI since I was a kid. I 've always gotten good service there. I would hate to think Meijer was aware of the poor business practices of Shipt or want their good name affiliated with an unethical business like shipt.
Today I purchased online grocery's from Meijer grocery store in Burton MI. My receipt given on line, stated I paid 80.00 for a whole chicken that was priced at 19.94 in the store. There were several other errors like this one on my receipt. When I contacted my local Shipt service, I was told there had been a glitch in there system and those prices were not correct. I explained it was difficult to compare, as I never received a paper receipt when the groceries were delivered. To my surprise, I was told Shipt actually tells there shoppers not to give the paper receipts to customers because it confuses them. This is a problem. Everyone is entitled to their personal shopping receipt. This especially targets our vulnerable elderly population to being financially exploited. Shipt, also could not give me a definite amount I was being charged that was referred to as the "up charge" for every 35.00 of items. I was told it was around 5.00 each time. Since when does a business not give clear prices for their service, send a receipt filled with errors and refuse to give their customers the paper receipt of items the customer purchased? There appears to be no transparency in this service. I am not even sure this is legal... I will be contacting Meijer grocery store to explain their partnership with Shipt's apparent unethical practice, in the hopes of motivating your business to make much needed improvements in their service.

Read full review of Meijerprice / shelf and register difference
This is the 3rd time I've had this happen. I get to the register and things are ringing up different then what they're marked on the shelf. 11ounce maxwellhouse coffee. All cans marked 3 dollars. I get home and notice I was charged 4.39. I also had a $.75 coupon in mperks that the register didn't use. I was able to catch 3 price differences. But when I got home I noticed that I had $4.25 worth of mperk coupons that didn't get used. I was over charged on the coffee and a couple clearance items that should have had an additional reduction at the register didn't get reduced. The clearance items when I did the price check showed additional 25%. I. normally don't make a big deal about things . If All the customers are being over charged it's pure WRONG! It may only be around 6.00 this time but if you times it by all the customers it adds up quickly. With mperks I'm not understanding how it will use some coupons but not others when they're added at the same time. This has become a Hassle when shopping trying to keep up with prices to double check at register!
pharmacy
I called in the Meijer store on Monday, December 17, 2018, to refill a prescription. The automatic caller said I could pick up the prescription the next day, Tuesday after 1:00 pm. I went to the store on Friday, December 21, to pick up the prescription. The pharmacist asked for my name, date of birth, and she asked the name of the medicine. I gave her all...

I am not one to complain much at all but I have had enough. The local Meijer store that I have went to for years here in Northville has the slowest service I've ever experienced. Read full review of Meijercustomer service-returns and exchanges of merchandise
On 11/28/18 at 7:15 a.m. I went to my local Escanaba, MI, Meijer and went to the Customer Service Desk to exchange a shirt I purchased for cash yesterday. I wanted to exchange it for a size larger. There was a sign on the desk that advised me the Customer Service Desk did not open until 8:00 a.m. I then went to the checkout to see if I could exchange the item. The cashier advised me if I paid cash I could return it and purchase the new item in a size larger. I went and got the size larger (same shirt) and went to the cashier. She advised me she could not perform the transaction because there was nobody for a fingerprint for the register to perform that type of transaction. I was then told I'd have to come back after 8:00 a.m.
What kind of service is this for a 24-hour store? I spend a significant amount of money at the Escanaba Meijer and this is unacceptable. I work 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and prefer not to go to the Customer Service Desk after work when there's a lineup after a full day of work, as you can likely understand.
the "prepared" meals for thanksgiving
I ordered the Thanksgiving Day meals, one each turkey and ham. I will not do this again.
First, I ordered them a week in advance. I live out of town and asked my brother to pick them up at the Maysville Rd in Fort Wayne. He got there and they gave him half the order. He called me and asked if I had ordered ham also. I did, they just didn't give it to him. So, I called the store and, "oh yes, it's here." He had to drive back to the store and get the rest of the order.
Then, when they get the dinners home it is all packaged in the packages that they were shipped in from the companies that made it. I could go along with that, if it had been packaged in some kind of foil pan or something that we could just pop into the oven. I could have walked through your store and did the same thing that your associate did by picking out the packaged potatoes, stuffing and gravy AND probably saved us a lot of money. The turkey was whole, so warming it up that way would have taken a long time and dried it out. The only saving grace was that the turkey was juicy.
Our brother, the one that picked up my order twice, has stage 4 lung cancer and we choose this option for Thanksgiving because we thought it would be less stressful. It was not. Far from it.
I drove from Ohio, a 2 hour drive, and had to scramble for bowls and things to put these items in just to warm them up. I knew it was going to be cold, but the ordering associate should let the customers know what the items were packaged in. I figured meals ready to go, meant ready to warm in the packaged we picked it up in.
Needless to say, I will never do this again and will tell anyone that asks me if they should order this, a big resounding NO.
Disappointed customer,
Jacque Tomlinson

lake & trail boots
I was very pleased with the Lake & Trail boots I bought at Meijers. They delivered what I expected, they are light and kept my feet warm and dry the 5 different times I wore them . But after that they failed, walking on wet pavement they soaked up water like a sponge. i tried coating them with rubber cement which worked the few times I wore them but failed afterwards. Apparently you do not test your products
management
I made a visit to meijer in southfield, mi., on nov.19, 2018, to purchase a playstation that was on sale Nov. 18 thru 24. I was told to come back in 20 min. When the salesperson would return. I did then she (kim fletcher) said they were not on the floor and she needed to call the manager (john Davis) for one. After 10min., he returned with one. She asked that he get another in case she had an additional customer. I asked why I had to wait over a half hour for an item that was one sale for t he second day. He told me he didn't know he had just come to work shortly before my request. This is one of the worst stores in our area for adequate inventory. The manager John Davis made me feel as if my time was not important or a concern of his. This attitude prompted me to send this complaint
