phone agent activation of prepaid card
I attempted a phone activation of a prepaid Visa on Oct 7 at 1:54 pm.
Because I declined an offer to accept a $200 gift card for some unknown merchant I was told I could disconnect the call and would have to do the activation online.
This level of customer service is deplorable and I will be following up with Visa to advise them how poorly your company reflects on them.

I went into the smart and final retail food store at newbury park, california
On 8-27-2018 I went into the Smart and Final food store on 8-27-2018 in Newbury Park, California. I used my prepaid Master Card to purchase items that came to a dollar amount of $8.06. This left a balance of $31.94. On the next day I went into the Smart and Final in Camarillo, California on 8-28-2018. I went to the check out area to use the balance on my card. The cashier told me that the card showed a $0.00 amount on the card.
I came home and called the Master Card Prepaid Center on 8-28-2018. The Customer Service Agent said two transactions took place on 8-27-2018. The amount for $31.94 was also deducted from my card on 8-27-2018. The agent told me file a complaint on this issue.
I'm an honest optimist and feel that Master Card will put this situation right.

Holy [censored], they posted his number, address, and transaction history on a public information board?! Shows what kind of company this is. Try calling their customers service for another example, they try to get you to pay shipping on "free" gift cards, and if you just want help not their "free" gift card they hang up on you and tell you the number you called isn't available...the number listed on the website and the back of the card for service lol.
gift card expiration
I went to use my rebate card from ComCast Business (that had been misplaced) only to find out it had expired, the card's #[protected] Visa Debit Card . Could you please reissue it? It has over not been used yet and should have $200.00 left on the card and I sure could use that money now. I did check with Comcast and was told the expiration date did not apply.

smith & wesson reward debit card
I received a $50.00 myprepaidcenter.com Smith and Wesson reward card as part of a purchase from Smith & Wesson, when I recently pulled the card out of my wallet I noticed that it actually has an expiration date of 06/2018, which has already come and gone. is this practice legal in Washington State? even gift cards cant expire in WA. if this practice is okay, I'll stay away from purchasing any items with this type of promotional incentive.
please advise
Thank you,
Dan
lg rewards rebate card
I just received this card and it has already expired, 05/18. Seriously! The card has a balance reward of $300.00. Phone number on card says to write Blackhawk Engagement Solutions, 700 State Highway 121 Bypass, Suite 200, Louisville, Texas, 75067, but I'm sure it's just a waste of time! Rebate Cards are nothing but SCAMS!
The next time I go to buy appliances, skip the offer with a rebate incentive.
Did you get any satisfaction when you wrote to Blackhawk? I too have an expired prepaid card. Is it worth the aggravation or is this just a bait and switch?
gift card expiration
I received a Rebate gift card in the mail In April and it has an expiration date of 0 5 18. I misplaced the card in my wallet and I just found it. I called the number on the card and had to hold on the phone for over 30 minutes before someone came on and told me that my card expired and the funds have been removed. None of the funds were used. This is a very short time how can it be that my money cannot be replaced? I would like something done if possible. We are talking a very short time here. The are laws regarding how long gift cards are good for. It certainly isn't a month. I would like someone to contactme regarding this please.
visa debit award card
States that it expired on 1/18. Value $20. According to the law gift card funds must be good for at least five years under federal law, and some states laws give you more time. Under federal law, inactivity fees can only be charged after 12 months of inactivity and if other conditions are met. Clearly this is a SCAM. My gift card should be re-issued to be in compliance with state and federal laws.

prepaid mc
Got this $70.00 rebate card for purchasing new tires @ discount tires in Oklahoma. Tried to activate the card and it said the number was invalid. I called the number on the back and after declining the other offers they tried to give me, I talked to a live person who told me " all systems were down for an undermined time due to maintenance, but he would be happy to issue me a $100.00 Walmart card".
What a SCAM!

My husband is very frugal and he went to use the card in July, 2018 - only to find out it had expired, the card's #[protected] Visa Debit Card in the name of Richard Pearson. Could you please reissue it he has over $60.00 left on the card and we sure could use that money now. I tried the phone number and had no luck with being able to talk to a real person.

prepaid visa
I have $120 from "Discount Tire" that expired 6/18. The website says the funds remain even if the card is expired. Well- I can't access anything on-line or by phone because both places say the card # is invalid. Very frustrating. I would love to know how to access my available funds with an expired card but you can't find the information anywhere. It seems like a total scam to hand out rebate cards that EXPIRE. It was less than a year even. I will never buy from Discount Tire if they are ok doing business this way.

I received a My PrepaidCenter.com Visa Debit Card two weeks ago after purchasing four new tires at Autohas BMW in St. Louis, MO. I have attempted to activate the card more that a dozen times unsuccessfully. There is no way to resolve this matter other than by phone or on-line. This is starting to feel like a scam (i.e., collecting personal information from unsuspecting consumer for illegal purposes, etc.). coopertires award card
I was given a gift card with a $70 balance & to my surprise, the damn card has an "expiration date" which it should not have by law! I went to pay for my gas & was told that by the cashier. I couldn't pay for my gas due to this unknown date, therefore i'd really appreciate it if you'd send me another card or reinstate this card on the grounds that this money belongs to me! I didn't send in for the gift card just to get the shaft after I spent almost $800 for tires! You may contact me at the following number. [protected] day or night! Please, just give me back what is rightfully mine.
Respectfully, ed holmes

My prepaid card work when I tried paying for something on line.
I activated the card and that was success .
Why can’t I use it online.
This isn’t cool. I did what you asked me to by referring someone to your company. I want you to make good on this or I’ll tell everyone to cancel your service..

poor customer service over the phone
On 23 June 2018 I called MyPrepaidCenter.com to request a new prepaid card as my current one had expired. I was charged $15 for the replacement card which seemed an acceptable charge, however this took nearly 25 minutes to arrange over the phone.
I was on hold for nearly 10 minutes, and then the person I spoke to over the phone seemed apathetic and was incredibly slow, asking me to repeat things over and over again - even simple things such as the spelling of words. There were large pauses in between me providing her my details and she did not seem to be focused on my call at all. Because I was calling internationally this call cost me over £30, which I am not happy about. This should have been a simple call but I have been charged a large amount because of poor customer service.

card expired and I cannot contact the company about it
I have just been robbed of $100. This is a crooked company. A scam.
I received a $100 credit card as a promotion for buying a Walther Arms pistol and the card was expired. No way to reach the company to get another card. The card was issued by MyPrePaid center. There is no way to contact them either.
Noticed a lot of other complaints about this company.

error with the amount of reward card
We were given a rebate form by Big O Tires in Issaquah for purchasing KYB World Class Shocks & Struts. The rebate form was for $100. We received a $40 card. We did not know that it was only $40 because the dollar amount was covered by the activation sticker. When we activated the card it showed that only $40 was loaded on April 23. We no longer have our copy of the rebate form as we didn't think we needed it anymore. The activation sticker did a great job of hiding the real value of the reward card. We are disappointed that the reward card was $60 less than it was supposed to be. Ripoff.
coopertires reward visa debit card
I purchased four new tires and received two reward Visa Debit Cards. One I used the other I was waiting to use. Tried to use it last night, May 5, 2018, to find out it had expired. Very disappointed that there was a time frame in which I needed to use it and extremely frustrated that I was unable to speak to a person.
The tires were not inexpensive and the rebate was the incentive to purchase. I would appreciate it if a new card could be issued.
customer service
I am very frustrated that there is no way to contact a live person at MyPrepaidCenter.com. Everything is automated.
I received 2 visa debit cards for a rebate and misplaced them before activation. After I found them they had already expired. I had only had them 6 months. I would gladly pay a fee to have them replaced but since they have expired and were not activated there is no way to get to speak with anyone. It feels like a scam to have such a short life on the card.
I am finding myself in the same scenario. I have two visa cards, both got buried in my wallet and now have expired and wont let me activate even though clearly printed on the card is a notation that Funds Do Not Expire! so how in the world does this sound right. no way to access funds, sounds like funds do expire with the card and the company keeps your money
$3.95 per month maintenance fee is a scam!
This is scamming at its finest. Use your rewards card or lose it... literally. After your card expires, you're charged a "maintenance fee" of $3.95/month. What's a better business model than selling rewards cards and then stealing that money back by charging a completely ridiculous, arbitrary monthly fee that deducts from your card balance? I'm sure there's a lot of effort this joke of a company makes in maintaining that plastic card collecting dust in your wallet. Oh, and good luck reaching customer service. If you're ever able to get through, make sure you have an Indian interpreter handy.
Update: MyPrepaidCenter.com is still a scam.
prepaid visa card
Absolutely Ridiculous! The website won't even allow me to activate the prepaid visa card even though all information entered is correct. If it cannot be done easily within 30 seconds to a minute then its not worth activating at all especially since rip off company Thred Up who sent me the card only loaded $1.80 on it. What a joke! All the stipulations that come along with using the card make it that much worse! 1 star!
prepaid rebate card
I received a $20 rebate for a purchase. Was waiting to use it on a particular item once I had saved enough to pay for the rest of the purchase along with the $20 prepaid card. Come to find out it expired after a few months. This is a rebate scam, they know most will not be used within the small time frame given. I was basically robbed of $20 by these people.

I have a Home Depot 80.00 rebate debit card that I used once for around 54.00 and had a balance of 20 something dollars left on it. I went to use it up today and the card was rejected. The expiration date is 03/2020 so the card should still be good to use. I went to the customer service site, myprepaidcenter.com, and got no where and couldn't even get through. How do I get that 20+ something dollars back? Not happy at all! Waiting for your reply ASAP.

I'm having the same problem. Card keeps getting declined everywhere and their customer service is unreachable. They try to get you to pay shipping on "free" gift cards when you call them, and if you just want help not their "free" gift card they hang up on you and tell you the number you called isn't available. Its the customer service number listed both on the website and the back of the card for service! Terrible company, if you can avoid their gift cards do so at all costs.
