refunds for flights opodo worst nightmare and expensive
I booked a flight with OPODO including insurance attached in case i need to cancel when i did need to cancel the process is to phone up takes at least 30 minutes and costs a bomb to tell them you want to cancel as its in the states.
Then i have since had at least 2 months repeatedly trying to get my refund, again you have to wait for ages to speak to anyone, to make it worse they ask you for your bank details on a no reply email!
Never ever will go anywhere near this company again!
flight bookings
I recommend nobody to ever book flights with opodo as they are worse company I have ever encountered. I booked 2×9 flights through opodo on 16/06/2018. One through opodo (ref 3633660635) and edreams (ref3633606910) through same opodo agent. the original price he gave was total £2411.52 for 18 flight bookings but by time he finished booking flights total became £3418.42. A increase of £1006.90 ([censored]ing rip off) I repeatedly told man I wanted return flights in evening and not morning (I recorded all phone calls) and when my flights came through the idiot booked flights from Christchurch in the morning. during four days of constant phone calls trying to resolve problem with Indian people who can't grasp English language I gave up (I have recorded all phone calls) they promised to return calls (never [censored]ing did) I asked manager to contact me (Steven Samuel) and he never did. (remember I have all phone calls recorded) shivendra wisht as well (phone call recorded) Vinny (phone call recorded) and several others (phone calls recorded) and not once did they return calls. they are worst company I ever known and a total disgrace.. they even said flight was not booked and paid even though my bank statements said money removed from my account (phone call recorded) and confirmation email recieved. What a total bunch of idiots who don't know there job. I will post on all websites the lack off professionalism shown by this crap company and will go to a solicitor with regards to my complaint. I don't expects reply so best option is solicitor and remember (ALL CALLS I RECORDED) see you in court.

incorrect details entered by opodo agent on flight booking
Having booked a Ryanair flight to Palma Majorca for 22nd June 2018 for my 15 year old daughter and myself - after a 1 hour 20 mins call to their telephone booking agent - I then tried to book in on line with Ryanair. I found that she had been booked on - and, therefore, I had been charged - as an adult. This means I cannot go ahead and book in online (only 16 yrs and above are counted as adults). I have called the Opodo customer helpline on repeated occasions; at times the number has been out of order; once I got through but was told the system was 'down' and, tonight, the agent says he will check the recording to see if the fault lies with them and I should call back in 24 hours. Meanwhile, our flight is fast approaching, I can't keep taking time off work to spend waiting for the company to answer the phone and I have no confidence that they will listen to the whole recording. Off course, I asked for a child's fare - it's cheaper and she's a child! This is the second call I have had to make to Opodo regarding this booking: the first was over another mistake made by Opodo over our titles - I had been put in as Ms, not Mrs, and my daughter as Mr not Miss! I made the telephone booking with a supervisor called Srisht having first spoken to her colleague, a male, for the first hour of the call. Not only to I feel that the level of efficiency and accuracy is unacceptable regarding the initial booking, but I also feel that the time and difficulty spent trying to rectify the problem is very poor.
flexible travel dates
I have purchased the flexible travel dates option for 140 euro from OPODO.FR and now I'm trying to change my travel dates. The phone number given in the instructions for using the option has been out of order for 48 hours, and it is impossible to reach opodo by phone or otherwise in order to get a new number. Since I'm phoning from abroad, I risk paying as much in phone expenses as the insurance money I paid. The airline cannot do anything about it and is requiring a penalty of 150US$ for any changes
refund request customer service staff
On the 20/5/18 I booked a flight with easyJet through Opodo and then I cancelled it on the 21/5/18 through Easy jet and they said that the money would be refunded back to my bank in 3/5 days and I'm still waiting I have tried to phone Opodo twice and been given the runaround the first person I spoke to said I needed to get an Airline cancellation form to release the money. So once again I phoned easyJet to try to get this and they said that I didn't need this and the money was being held by Opodo. They said that the money had been paid to a card with last four numbers of 9030 I then told them that this wasn't my card.So again I tried to phone Opodo and they said to me that the money had never been paid and that I should contact my bank. I did this and I have an authorisation code for the money being paid to you. So again phoned Opodo and they said for me to phone them back as all the systems are down I asked if they could ring me and they said they couldn't do this. So at this point I was in tears with frustration as this is my money. I then phoned Easy jet again who said it wasn't their problem and that it was Opodo to sort out.
I am expecting a reply as soon as possible about this and the money back into my account or I will be taking the matter further as i think that the way iv been treated is disgraceful.

booking
I am attempting to make a reservation on your website. The advertised price was £290. When clicking through it says congratulations your fare has been reduced by £70 odd pounds. However after filling in all the passenger information. And waiting for confirmation. The price suddenly jumps to £550+ for the trip. Opodo then tried to charge me for this trip which I didn't confirm so had to sit on hold for 15 minutes to ensure that I wasn't charged this. I raised this issue and was transferred between 3 different departments before he said as we are cancelling the flight ( which I didn't book) the account is now locked for a few hours and we can't make that booking. So I was charged for a flight I didn't want. £300 was added to the advertised cost of the flight ( your colleague said maybe it's the card I'm using. I am a very frequent flyer and have never had £300 added to the cost of a trip due to my card) and now I can't book my holiday as my account is locked in a booking I didn't want
Obviously this is a very distressing situation to be in and would expect a reply to this email promptly with some explanation and resolution to follow

ticket refund
Dear Sirs,
I have booked tickett yesterday (9.6.2018 at 10 p.m. Bolivia time) and I want to cancell this booking.
The cancelling is in 6 Hours after booking, and the tickett condition was free cancellation and refund in 12 hours after booking.
name: edita kysel, flight on 22.6.2018 from Santa Cruz Bolivia to Buenos Aires.
Latam Booking: RDZCUN, Tickett Nr. LA/ETKT [protected]
Flight Nr. LA 2407, LA 7901
Opodo Booking Code: [protected]
The booking condition for this tickett was that it can be cancelled and full refund for free in 12 hours after booking.
I have tryed to cancell and refund tickett directly by Opodo, but their Web site does not have any form for cancelling, there is also no email contact to customer service.
Could you be so kind to help with that, because it has to be made in the time and I do not know how to do request for cancelling and refund.
kindest regards

("unaware ticket was travel light, no baggage allowance")
Hi,
Booking Reference: [protected]
I must say I am HIGHLY disappointed in your services as a 1st time customer, hopefully the last time and would never recommend anyone to use your agency. I am a UK resident, I booked a return ticket to Nigeria 27/05/18 via Virgin Atlantic(VS651) i had thought I had a good travel deal of £573.99 only to find out i was to pay for my luggage to and fro in total costs of £158.00. I spoke to a rude customer service assistance via telephone at the airport to get clarification but the poor customer service was even worse that the scam booking. On the website there was no indication of no baggage allowance on my booking and arrived at the airport with two full 23kg baggage allowance which is normal allowance for very travelling passenger if i had booked directly. The only reason i used Opodo was to find a good deal unfortunately for me it was a bad experience that almost cost me my trip which i reluctantly paid in distress. This is unacceptable as it caused me inconveniences i never planned for. I am making a formal complaint and escalating this further, hopefully my baggage payment of £158.00 is refunded.

hotel in petra said we were not booked in
We booked the flight and hotel with Opodo all went will with the flight but when we arrived at the hotel we were told we had no booking and told to go next door, I showed the manager the confirmation and was eventually given a room this was on Saturday 19th may we constantly had to ask for clean towels although the room was clean on Tuesday the young lady who was helping at the said we needed to pay the bill again but the manager was busy at another hotel. We gave in all the paperwork again to be photo copied and tried to contact Opodo to no avail no internet connection. on Wednesday I was told they had no Opodo account and must pay again which we did, however on the Friday morning the manager refunded the money on to my card.
Please can you tell me why we had to go through this worry we paid for flights and hotel on 21/1/2018 for departure on 19/5/18

tickets bought through website were never finalised
Opodo,
After having a last minute a my flight plans (original flight at 6am) I went online to book a flight through your website at 5am, for a slight departing at 14.00
After receiving an email confirming the selection of the flight, I did not receive another final confirmation email by 10.45 am.
At this point I decided to call one of your customer service agents to query, and was told that I had to give you 24 hours to confirm the booking of any flight. Considering the flight was 11 hours after the purchase this made no sense whatsoever, and there was no able for you to buy the flight which had been advertised.
After a ling discussion with the ridiculous set up of your advertised flights, I was forced to buy another flight for 19.00 through another agent or airline, this flight cost me 180 pounds whilst your advertised one was set at 62 pounds sterling.
I am emailing you because I would like to be refunded this plus compensated for the fact that you had falsely advertised a flight that I then confirmed through TUI/ Thomson (the carrier) that there was no more space on.
Below are the exact flights taken, not taken and the dates and times, as well as the prices for which I expect to be compensated in full otherwise legal action will be taken for false advertising
Original (Untaken) flight booked:
Depart: LGW - AGP, Thurs 3rd May 14.00, BY 4462 Thomson Airlines. Quoted £62
Flight bought:
Depart: London LTN - AGP, Thursday 3rd May 19.20, EZY 2409, Easyjet. Paid £182.67
Please let me know if you require my bank statement to prove that I paid the final price with easyjet.
I expect a quick resolution of this issue as it is down to false advertising on your part
Regards,
Lucas Klein
refund
Hello representative,
I'm writing for my refund. I've been waiting for two months.
My booking reference is [protected] within Opodo.
The flight was under Easyjet from Vienna to London in 29th March.
I contacted Easyjet and they said there were two refunds processed on 06 March one for 33.93 pounds and the other for 35.93 pounds. And the email address is [protected]@gmail.com, what else information do you need? Please tell me and I will offer the information as soon as possible.
Thanks

invoice for total amount for a return flight trip not issued yet
Dear opodo,
I requested issuing an invoice while buying my return flight on 19.04. (opodo booking no.: [protected]): I still haven't received the invoice for the whole amount (I only received a partial invoice for the costs of opodo). Since none of the airlines involved (lufthansa and lot) won't ever issue invoices for third party rights sale of the tickets (requested and got such answers) I therefore would like to claim the non-issuing the invoice by opodo being the seller of the route/service here.
Thanks a lot for helping me out - I need the invoice asap for my travel expenses and strict accounting purposes.
Thank you and best regards,
Marta

cancelled flights
We purchased our tickets through a booking agent called Opodo. We were travelling from Manchester, England to Mwanza, Tanzania. The booking details are below:
11 February 20:35 - Manchester to Dubai (Emirates EK 20)
12 February 10:15 - Dubai to Dar es Salaam (Emirates EK 725)
12 February 19:05 - Dar es Salaam to Mwanza (Fastjet FN 147).
Returning on 25-26th February. A total of £1379.78 was paid to Opodo to cover the cost of all of the flights.
However, when we arrived in Dar es Salaam on 12th February we were told our flights had been cancelled as we hadn't paid. We showed our proof of payment but the gentleman said we would have to go back out of the airport and talk to the Fastjet office. We spoke to the lady in the office who made some calls and after a long wait we were told we could board the flight. However, when we got back to the check-in desk we were told to wait again. The same gentleman came back and said he'd spoken to his boss who had told him we would have to purchase new tickets and claim back a refund. We were told that the card machine wasn't working and that we'd have to leave the airport again to use the ATM. The gentleman told us we would have to take two lots of 600, 000 Tanzanian shillings out to pay for each way. We took one lot of 600, 000 out and tried to take out another but the ATM would only allow us to take out 400, 000. The man said we would have to pay 525, 000 for a one way ticket and sort out the return tickets in Mwanza. By this time everyone else had boarded the plane. I requested a receipt and then we had to run in order to catch our flight.
Once we landed in Mwanza our names were called out and we were told to stay on the plane until they had received their money. By this time we had been travelling for 24 hours and were absolutely exhausted and knew we had no way of getting out the extra money they were demanding, which was very distressing. Eventually we were told we only owed 147, 000 not 525, 000. The man in Dar es Salaam knew we had withdrawn enough money to pay for the return flights but was trying to con more money out of us but because we had requested a receipt he'd had to inform Mwanza of the correct amount due.
The whole experience was incredibly stressful and upsetting and the way we were treated was appalling.
On returning to the UK I called Opodo to claim our refund. We were put through to a call centre, presumably in India, to a man who struggled to understand what I was telling him. Eventually I received an email informing me I would receive a refund in the next 3 months. The email didn't state how much the refund was for and nobody had asked how much we had paid for the additional tickets or the cost of withdrawing the money from the ATM. So far no money has received our account.
Opodo are deceitful and shocking to deal with! After being promised a refund and being told it could take up to 3 months to get to my bank and then not receiving a refund, I’m now being told they don’t do refunds and I should go direct to Emirates! Why have I just been waiting 3 months if you don’t do refunds?!
flight cancellation
I am extremely concerned about a flight cancellation, in which I spoke to a member of Customer Services and nothing was resolved.
The query was regarding the AirFrance strikes, in which my flight was cancelled.
I asked a member of Customer Services how best I should go about reclaiming compensation for my troubles, but was met with him telling me that there was nothing the company could do to help. I asked if I could speak to any seniors about the matter, but again I was told no. I find it very unsettling that a large travel agency like themselves has no form of customer compensation, considering the very expensive issues that I faced due to my cancelled flight.
How does it make any sense that I should receive no reimbursement for the expensive costs associated with a cancelled flight?

cancelled flight - opodo is a nightmare to deal with
I made a booking with Opodo from Southampton to Munich months in advance. A day before my flight I couldnt check in and I got worried. After I contacted the airline directly I found out that the airline had stopped their flights from Southampton airport. I contacted Opodo and they said that they had contacted me personally and I should of been aware of that. As you can imagine I wasnt. They then offered to get me another flight for three times more expensive which I couldnt afford. I had to find myself another flight as that was a connected flight and I didnt want to miss my next flight from Munich on the following day. Then Opodo sent me an email saying that my flight was scheduled on time and I should go to the airport early enough to check in.
I was so confused. Their app said the same thing. That everything would be okay with my flight from Southampton even though it was cancelled. By that time I managed to book another flight from London. I had to miss work that day to make my way to London and pay transfer etc etc. I sent an email to opodo and they havent replied in almost a month. Then I complained again on FB only to get the answer that their emails and app are for informative reasons. As if I said that they shouldnt be. They should be informing that the flight is cancelled not on time.
Then to make things even worse they told me that I need to wait for 90! Days for my refund. And then they stopped replying to my messages.
I will take this further as their customer service is unacceptable.

poor customer service for a refund
Dear representative,
I booked a flight at opodo.com, got a confirmation email. When I turned up at the airport the airline said that the reservation had been made but not paid for. I had to pay for a ticket at the desk that day to join then flight. The money has been taken out of my bank account by Opodo. I have been conacting Opodo via the number supplied on the website for a refund. I have got through twice to a person who both times said they would follow up with an email. I have not heard anything back. It has been 4 days since my first phone call. Terrible customer service.

opodo systems always down not able to change bookings
I have been trying to call the Opodo help centre for a week now to change a flight booking and I cannot get through! On both occasions where an agent actually responded the answer was systems are down. That was last week Wednesday and yesterday. This is completely unacceptable! I imagine soon enough they will say I cannot change or cancel the booking.
