On 27/02/2023 I bought flights and rented a car using Opodo Prime free trial membership to get a deal.
On 28/03/2023 the trial translated full Opodo Prime membership with the subscription fee.
Today 28/03/2024 the £69.99 fee was taken from my account by Opodo for Prime and I received an email about auto-renewal.
I called and was told a full refund was not available as the money had already been taken (I was offered £90 in flight vouchers assuming I spend over a threshold on flights, or a £25 refund). I declined both.
I have not used Opodo Prime for over a year, it is not a service I require.
According to the membership conditions for Prime on Opodo website:
3.3. Renewal
WE WILL REMIND YOU ABOUT THE RENEWAL OF YOUR PRIME BEFORE THE END OF YOUR PRIME TERM. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL YOUR PRIME, THE PRIME TERM WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW AND YOU WILL BE CHARGED YOUR PRIME FEE ON RENEWAL.

But I did not receive an email with a reminder or I would have cancelled as I do not have spare money to travel, never mind travel agent subscription fees.

I have had the exact same experience! Shocking behaviour from them - i have raised a complaint, but am not hopeful that this will be resolved satisfactorily.
