Petco Buy 10 bags, get one free? How about 50 and get zero

That’s right, I’ve been buying dog food from Petco for the last six years, and I have NEVER receive a 10th bag.

Furthermore, no one in the store can tell me how many bags of purchased and whether or not I’m on my 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th bag. Their response was “when it happens, it happens“.

They should be more like PET SUPERMARKET. Over there, when you buy a bag of dog food, your count is reflected on your receipt and the representative says “you have two more bags to go sir“. Pet supermarket is a far superior business and the only reason I shop at Petco is because there’s no PET SUPERMARKET in New Orleans. They should give you the free bag at checkout, with no coupon necessary, and it should never expire. There should be a app or webpage where you can check how many bags you purchased.

Or maybe you can get one of those hole punchers like Starbucks used to have when you bought a cup of coffee.

I swear to God, I wholeheartedly hate Petco with all my heart and if pet supermarket was here in New Orleans, I’d never step foot in your store again.

Desired outcome: 1. I want 5 free bags of dog food like I deserve.2. An apology from the CEO for wasting my time. I shouldn’t have to fight for what’s mine.3. I WANT THEM TO CHANGE.

Petco Customer service

I have had several issues with Petco and they have not been resolved. You seem to discriminate against customers. Slander them and put negative information about them so it is biased and one sided which is discrimination and grounds for suing Petco. Which I am DEFINITELY going to do. From reading the vast numbers of complaints, I will have many other customers with the same negative experiences. Looks like you are supporting the immature and dis reputable employees who work there. Then you do not need the customers and should go out of business. Since you banned my dog from your grooming salons for no reason. Even when there have been positive experiences. You have slandered me in your system rather than corrected the immature millennials who work for you, then you deserve to be sued.

Desired outcome: 50000 for discrimination against me, my dog and the horrible treatment I have received. Millennials mistreat elderly people who are protected by law from abuse.

On Feb. 28th, 2022, I was first to enter store, #3711, I wanted to sign up my dog for grooming. Clerk instead talk on her cell phone while I waited. No attention giving to me but I went around the grooming desk to speak to her regards registering. After I ask about grooming, She said, "we have no grooming here". It would be better for her to put down her cell phone and pay attention to customer first.

Petco Pet products

I had a horrific experience with Petco and I am truly shocked that they have refused to make it right. I ordered a product for my cat online for in-store pickup. Picked it up and got home and realized they filled the order incorrectly: instead of the cat version of a gel they gave me the kitten version. I asked if I could exchange it and they said they didn't have the cat version in stock at this particular store. I called Petco and expressed my disappointment. They told me I had to return or find another Petco to exchange it. They half-heartedly offered to refund me which I knew they weren't going to do. I found the product at another Petco (not near my house) and drove all the way over there, found the right product and went to the register and explained why I was making an exchange. The cashier found the item by looking up my phone # and then called her manger over. He hatefully refused to let me exchange the item and claimed they couldn't find it in their system which was untrue. He then demanded I produce a receipt. I explained that i had ordered it online the day before and that I was never provided with a paper receipt but I could look it up on my phone. My phone was not connecting at their store and none of my emails were displaying. I asked him if I should exit the store to get a connection and he assured me the store was fine and that it was my phone (that wasn't true). He took the item I was exchanging (the kitten formula) and threw it into a bin behind him. He refused to exchange it for the cat formula. He also refused to give back the kitten formula that I had rightfully paid for. I had to beg him to give it back. This man was so hateful and so condescending. It was a typical power tripping situation. He was going to make me, a minority woman, pay for all the anger he had about his life. He took full advantage and humiliated me in front of his staff and other customers. He finally gave me back the product I was trying to exchange. I had no choice but to leave the store, having wasted my time and energy trying to do a simple exchange to make up for Petco's incompetence. I called Petco and was promised they would overnight me the correct product and they have to failed to do so without explanation. They have also failed to refund me. So I am stuck with a product that I didn't order. I have asked my bank to put the charge into dispute. I am traumatized and shocked by what I experienced. Petco has a lot to answer for and the hateful manager needs to be spoken to. He abused his power and was not empathetic or kind at all and provoked me to become extremely upset.

Desired outcome: I want a full refund for the purchase price paid for the product they failed to provide and an apology and assurance this manager will not treat other people hatefully as he treated me.

Petco Unauthorized credit charge

Febuary 12, 2022 went to Petco in Eatontown nj with my dog went to the counter to pay for services rendered used my visa prepaid card it was declined!I then used my other bank of america visa card that was approved The problem is I am being charged on both of my accounts for the same $251.48 the time was 4:25 pm Reg 001 Trans 40096 the person on the register was named Justin he said the computer was very slow so I am assuming by the time I used the second card it had already been posted on my visa prepaid card the first card I used, I have only one receipt showing that it was posted to the second card I would like for the 251.48 put back into my Bank of america prepaid visa account

Petco dog grooming

Petco is very expensive for the poorly trained groomers! I took my 8lb Havanese Yorkie to Petco for the 1st time on 1/27/22 and was incredibly disappointed with the haircut. The staff was fine but the grooming was terrible. They missed obvious spots throughout his body especially around his legs and failed to cut his nails. Whats worse is that they accidentally trimmed his eyelashes on one eye so it very noticeable. I called to complain and the manager offered to give him a touch up and give me refund as I was overcharged for the original service. I took them up on the offer only to spend inconvenient hour there and only receive a $5 refund. What a joke!

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a full refund for the terrible cut. The touch up addressed the choppy haircut but unfortunately my dogs beautiful eyelashes are ruined. Not to mention the inconvenience of having to take him back for the touch up.

Petco Took my money with no product or refund

On January 21, 2021 I placed an order online for in store pickup, paid with a gift card and the overage put on my bank card. I went into my email and did not have an order confirmation. I looked and my bank and the money was withdrawn and checked my gift card and the money was wiped out also. I then called the customer service line and was on the phone for an hour and 29 minutes. They tried very hard to just get me off the line and kept telling me they would put in "a ticket" with the IT dept. I asked for a supervisor who then put me in touch with the "Premire IT dept" who then insisted that I would be refunded on both the gift card and my bank within 24-48 hours. Guess what...didn't happen. I then emailed the customer service and the "Premire IT dept". The Premire dept emailed me back and said they were still looking into the problem. Still nothing. I have emailed them numerous times with no response now. I emailed the customer relations dept (what a joke) with no response. I then received an email of a survey of my experience with the problem, I did the survey...No response. I am truly disappointed in this company all the way around. The worst. Have no fear I am not going away until there is resolution to this matter, I will go all the way to the top and the media now. Here I am February 4, 2022.

Desired outcome: Refund and compensation for my time and frustration.

Petco Grooming

My dog had a February 5, 2022 scheduled grooming appointment at Petco on Metropolitan Ave in Forest Hills, NY. On February 4, 2022 (Approximately 9:25 am) I received a call from Jennie to cancel the appointment. The reason being was that the appointment was made online on the Petco site in my account and it was the last appointment made. Jennie stated that they booked too many large dogs and therefore my pet's appointment had to be cancelled. I explained to Jennie that the dog was in NY and I was out of state. I went on to request for her to call my daughter, who has the dog and would need to not only know but to reschedule the appointment at a time of her (my daughter's) convenience. Jennie said that she would not place the call and that it was my responsibility. I stated that since Petco was not honoring online appointments and she was able to make an appointment it would be justifiable for me to ask her to call the NY (my daughter's) number. I explained to her that my daughter worked and I did not have access to her schedule and I was afraid to ask her to use the website since the appointments are not honored. Jennie refused after spending approximately 5 minutes on our call (time that could have been spent making a call to rearrange the appointment).After about eight minutes on the call I finally merged my daughter in. Really Petco, you inconvenienced me and did not attempt to resolve an issue created by you.

Desired outcome: Basic training of staff to attempt to resolve issues created by Petco. Setting up My Petco site so that appointments are closed once there in no longer availability

Petco Product/service

I paid $60.99 yesterday for a wash/cut for my dog at your Warrenton, OR store. This is the first time we have ever taken the dog for a cut, and we were excited. The groomer did a good job. However, I was furious when after the service was completed and I received the dog report card and the bill that 10% of my purchase went to the Trevor Project! That is dirty-handed and disingenuous. I was never told before I made the purchase, or walked into Petco that my money would be spent on LGBTQ causes. I do not believe in supporting LGBTQ causes, along with millions of other people in America. That is being forced upon us. We should be able to choose and donate to that or any other cause. If I would have known that any of my money was going to a cause that I don't believe in, I would have shopped somewhere else. I don't see Petco supporting any local churches or warming centers. What you are doing is immoral and wrong. I refuse to spend one penny at your company for my pets and I will tell everyone I know to do the same. Very sad that Petco did this and supports these types of projects. Stick to taking care of animals' needs and stay out of LGBTQ causes!

Desired outcome: I want the 10% of the $60.99 back. I didn't choose to give that to the Trevor Foundation

Petco cat litter and cat treats

I was treated very rudely and lied to by a representative named Cassidy at the Petco on Mason Road in Katy TX. My cat's claw was infected so I was sent to Petco by the vet to get a special litter to use for two days. I asked for the litter made from a newspaper called Yesterday's News. She said they didn't carry anything like that there. She told me the paper litter was in the guinea pig section and that is what I should use. I called the vet and he explained that I could not use the guinea pig paper litter, which would be bad for my cat. After repeatedly telling me they did not have Yesterday's News and telling me to get guinea pig litter that would be bad for my poor cat with an infected paw she then brought a bag of Yesterday's News litter to me. They did carry it she just didn't want to bother with telling me where it was. And it happened again. I asked for the tuna flake cat treats. She said they don't carry anything like that. I pulled Petco's website up on my phone and showed her the images of the tuna flakes that Petco carries. In other words, it's like when a person's IQ is so low, they can't comprehend communication in words and you have to draw a picture for them. That's what I did, I showed her the website of the company she works for and the different tuna flakes that they carry. And she took me to an aisle of canned cat food - and nothing there was or looked like in anyone's wildest imaginings like a jar of dried tuna flake cat treats. She continued to speak with a whiney voice letting me know that I was annoying her with questions about these products I wanted to buy from Petco that she did not want me to buy as she would have to ring them and she apparently is very much against work, she is there to get paid for giving customers wrong information and trying to get them to leave the store without buying the products they want. Her boss the GM, was not there to help me. I called Petco Customer service. And I hit the number it gave me to have someone call me back as their wait time was 20 minutes. No one at Petco ever called me back.

If we are all so stupid ...go somewhere else...please! Corporate may tell you different but most Petco employees are fed up with the company and the customers too. Invent a robot to take our jobs and we would be relieved. BTW I am a grandfather working a "second" career not a teen and I have been shocked by unrealistic expectations and how badly customers behave these days.

Petco Wrong Item Delivered

Hello,

I emailed and spoke to a rep about the package I received today. The item inside the package is a completely different item I ordered. I emailed her the picture, and she said there is nothing you can do for me! Is this how you treat your consumers?

I took it in the store a month a go and replaced it but they ade me pay an extra 45 dollars which I have the recipt and would like to be refunded with a ups pick up

This is a conversation that I obtained with Joan F online chat with your employees and despite my current recipet of last month and refused to let me provide a current recipet of an effective item you guys keep selling of alot of money not to mention I payed out of pocket 45 dollars when the itmem was already purchased..I will be filing charges to your rude employee and the theft and violation of your own policies..

If I dont recieve a response with in the next 48hrs I will give this to a legal representative including all my medical bills for my dogs and myself since I have spent hundreds of dollars for ineffective items and have tp replace them monthly!
