Meal - lobster & breaded shrimp
I ordered take out from Red Lobster on 10/08/22. We ordered the lobster and breaded shrimp. We had never had lobster before and was eager to try it. When we opened the meal, it did not look appealing, but was not clear what lobster was supposed to look like. I took several bites of the lobster and was completely disgusted. It tasted rubbery and like a shoe. It did not taste cooked at all. I tried two breaded shrimp; the exterior was lukewarm, and the interior was cold. I immediately stopped eating and wanted to go home. By the time we made it home, I was in the bathroom for the next 3 1/2 days. I thought that it would pass through my system, it did not. By the fourth day, I was in severe pain and the discharge was black. I went to the emergency room. I was treated with morphine, anti-nausea, IV and others. They were going to admit me. The diagnosis food poisoning, severe dehydration and UTI. I was furious! I had to take extremely strong antibiotics for one week (2,000 mg. a day - 2x day for one week). I didn't have an appetite for two weeks or energy. I took a photo of the lobster and many stated that the lobster was not cooked. I called the restaurant, and the manager was non-cholent about my ordeal and stated, "I can refund your money." As if that was all that mattered, he didn't even ask if I was ok. I will never eat at a Red Lobster again; I will never have lobster or shrimp again. I spoke with a friend who shared that he had also gotten sick at the same location on three different occasions with several years spans. Never again!
Desired outcome: Them to pay my hospital bills and apologize.
Service needs work
My family and I dined at Red Lobster yesterday; we had a 3:30p reservation, but we didn't leave the restaurant until 7:34p. Amy was our waitress. When we were first seated, a woman came over and told Amy that she could be of assistance if she needed it and said that the biscuits were in the oven and would be out in 10 minutes; we waited 45 minutes for 1st round of biscuits. After our drinks arrived, we waited another 30 minutes for a 2nd round of biscuits, like there was a shortage. The food came out and some of the dishes were cold. After all of this, we spent 4 hours at the restaurant and were only able to get 1 extra round of food from the Never-Ending Shrimp, which mostly everyone ordered (so we got the original order then 1 more order). There were 10 people in our party; we had 2 tables put together that sat 5 people each. Amy had the most enthusiastic attitude I believe possible under these conditions. The restaurant was not crowded but everything took forever to come out. Also, my mother ordered from the Never-Ending Shrimp menu but was told that she could not get another round of Walt's Favorite Shrimp, which I am confused about; maybe Amy was confused. We eat out often, but this was unacceptable. We had a bill of $334.77, with only 3 alcoholic beverages (everything else was soda or iced tea), 1 glass of wine and 2 Sangrias - the service should have been better. This is now at the bottom of our gathering places; thank you.
General manager's horrific customer service.
Hello, my customer complaint is regarding the horrendous customer service, or lack thereof, from your General Manager Jacquelyn Ziemba at store #0287 in Orland Park Illinois.
I purchased the shrimp feast dinner with two appetizers and a lobster-topped potato the menu said $5.99 and the bill rang up $7.99. The waitress Tricia said she would have to speak with the manager. Who upon coming to the table had an air of defense, never apologized for the misunderstanding or acknowledged any possible wrong doing on the restaurants part. In short, absolutely not attempt to resolve the issue; she just showed me the menu and in short told me I was responsible for the $7.99. I later requested the corporate phone number and she said it's "1-800-lobster" I then asked if I could have the actual numbers and her name. She said yes and left.
We were done eating and paying our bill as we left I saw her at the bar and asked her to write her name on the paper with the number. She said, "all complaints come to me, I will be the one receiving your complaint." I also asked for the corporate email address, to which she answered we don't have email addresses. I explained to her that I want to speak to her boss. I want to speak to the person she answer to and not her. I then went to the waiting area and she came out and handed the information to my sister while I stood there watching. On the paper was the number 407.734.9729 with the name Jerry or maybe Larry it was not very legible.
To add further insult to continuous, customer service, injury... when I went to the ladies at the front counter to inquire about the name they said that Jerry or Larry "he's the bartender over there." Unbelievable, what was a small complaint regarding a menu item turned into a mountain of lies and insults from the head General Manager in charge, Jacquelyn Ziemba at store #0287, frighting thought, whatever happened to the old adage... "the customer always right." Non-existent at store #0287 when it came to the Jacquelyn Ziemba's expression of appreciation for the $66.42 I spent in your restaurant.
Desired outcome: First, I would like a refund of the $7.99 plus tax that I spent on the lobster top potato. Secondly, please handle, Jacquelyn Ziemba at store #0287 as you see fitting for her egregious service not befitting a General Manager of Red Lobster.

I am HIGHLY DISGUSTED in my service today that I received from Red Lobster in Gateway. I came in on Wednesday, October 26th at 6:30pm and got seated immediately. I was seated at the 2nd booth to the left as soon as you walk in through the double doors. Our waitress Marion B. had a dismissive and far from welcoming demeanor from the very beginning. She was not friendly nor warming. We waited 13 minutes just for her to take our order. After taking our order in which we ordered two unlimited shrimp and one shrimp Alfredo. We received our first round at 7:09pm. Marion never had the decency to ask us if we were ok did we need anything, the normal questions a well experienced waitress with great customer service should ask. Almost a hour of not seeing her she finally walked past our table and I said excuse me and she didn’t even look my way, she said in a very cold and condescending tone, One Second and put up her finger to notion “one moment”. After 3 minutes, she came never apologized for the long wait or anything. I have never in my life received this low level practice of Customer Service. I am beyond disgusted with this type of behavior and conduct from your employee. Marian needs to receive customer service training and there needs to be some sort or corrective action because this was totally unacceptable. People who came in after us received their food. As an establishment you should be utterly embarrassed and horrified to know that your employee treated a paying customer this way. I am appalled and utterly I outraged with the service that I received. I am a regular customer and appalled at such behavior from workers at this establishment. I watched the other servers interact with their patrons, and they were laughing and enjoying each other. I felt like by chance we were seated in the wrong section. If not seeing how the other servers were I sure I would not be back, but I will. I will just make sure she is not our server. As provisions of the Consumers Right Acts claim my right to benefit from reasonable care and decent service; I believe Marian’s behavior brings this restaurant in breach of national legislation. I urge you to consider my claim.
At Red Lobster on College Road, Ocala, FL if you are black they will kiss your bahootie but if you are caucasian don't go with an appetite or you may starve to death. Brad, the acting manager ( acting as what?) is a wannabe. A genuine horse's patootie. Do NOT go if yoyu are a pale rider.
Service Quantity and Price
Dear Red Lobster,
I’ve been a loyal customer for years, for as long as Red Lobster has been in business. I’ve never had any issues with Red Lobster’s food or service and the price was okay for quantity served. However, on July 25, 2022, on our way to vacation. We stopped at Red Lobster’s restaurant for my sister’s birthday celebration. I spent $80.15 for a horrible meal! The quantity was so small until our mouth’s dropped. The waiter’s excuse, quote, “that’s what Red Lobster is serving now.” We paid for horrible service, quantity and price. Recently, I passed by Red Lobster and opt to go and said, NO WAY! I’m done and disappointed! I’m your customer and should have never walked out feeling the way I felt on my sister’s birthday!
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a refund! This would be my first time every making a complaint about Red Lobster or any other restaurant.
Admirals Feast
I took my daughter for her birthday today. She loves shrimp. She loved her meals which was the endless shrimp dinner. I had the Admirals Feast. To my dismay, it was all over fried. The fried flounder was hard and in edible. The Fried Clams were so chewy I didn't hardly eat them. It was so totally disheartening to me but didn't say anything to my daughter for it may have ruined her celebration. So sad to see Red Lobster go down hill. I do believe their Biscuits is the only palatable item on the menu.
Surf n' Turf
I ordered the Surf N Turf at Red Lobster for the first time having really looked forward to it for a long time. You did not have the sirloin strip so I had the filet mignon with the lobster. The filet was good however the lobster was very disappointing. It was cold, rubbery and not appetizing at all. The little butter cup for the lobster was not nearly hot enough. It should be hot and in a glass dish or on a little burner. I did not get a price cut on the steak even though you did not have the sirloin. I feel a substitution would have been a good customer promo. For the $51.99 I paid for the S N T I expected a lot more. I will not have the Surf N Turf again at Red Lobster. We spent $126 on a meal for two and it was a great disappointment!
Kara was our waitress. She's a great gal but very loud. Could she tone it down a little perhaps?
We have always enjoyed our meals there which were mostly shrimp meals.
Desired outcome: We would like to get a gift card equal to at least the Surf N Turf of $51.99 so we could have another meal at RL.
Wait time and Service
I have gone to this Red Lobster many times (Red Lobster 6211) we went to dinner on July 4 2022 we walked in and there were two girls standing at the check-in desk and one girl standing behind them we waited and no one came to seat us finally my wife asked the two girls standing at the check-in desk how long have you been waiting and she said ten minutes but a girl did come out and said someone would be right with you when we first got there so now it's been later because we waited at least ten minutes and the young girl in front of us was there just to pick up her carry out once we got seated our waiter said she would be right with us and she explained that there were on two waiters that showed up we felt sorry for this young girl I watched her take a order of drinks and salads over to the other side of the dining area and right before that I watched four people just got up and walked out and she just walked back to the kitchen with the tray again we felt sorry for this young girl I had order all the shrimp you could eat and the wait between getting my refills was a long wait and she would just tell us ( I don't know whats going on in the kitchen ) a very sad dinner at Red Lobster!
biscuits
This complaint isn't that bad..it's just a bit frustrating because it has happened several times and I try not to complain about small things that don't seem that important because I live across the street from red lobster and we go there often but many times I order food to be delivered to me and the biscuits are not there and I normally order at least a dozen..I don't have the times and dates because I didn't keep track of that. But on a good note the food has always been delicious for the most part.
Desired outcome: It would be nice to be compensated so when i order again I won't have to pay extra again for biscuits because even though I live across the street I don't have time to run over just to get a bag of biscuits
Red lobster
On 6/26/2022 at approximately 5:30pm, I place a order of mignon , loaded potatoes and broccoli. I inform the waitress and manager how my food was not prepared properly. I order the flowder. Shrimp,clams with a side order of loaded potatoes and broccoli and it was cold. I feel the manager did not ensure my food was properly prepared. I spent a total of 105.38 including gratuities for horrible meal i recieve. The sad part of all i never received my receipt via email. This Red Lobster located on Plymouth and middlebelt is horrible.
Wed steak and lobster lunch
We went to Red Lobster in Williamsport, Pa. on June 15th our 48th
Wedding Anniversary 2022. We were very excited to get Lobster, but were very disappointed. Worst lobster we have ever eaten. It seemed old and was about 4 inches long and about a half inch around. Mine was fatty and my husband said it was the worst one he ever had. I asked the waitress Barb where they came from and she said Maine. We have eaten many Maine lobsters and ours didn't taste like that we were very disappointed. Won't get that Steak and Lobster again. We are going to stick with Mon's special of shrimp a much better meal. The waitress said she would let the Manager know but we saw nothing of Manager or Waitress again. Waitress took my photo at payment kiosk without my knowledge or consent
Waitress to come my photo at payment kiosk without my knowledge or consent. At the table I wanted to pay with a credit card she said OK let me set it up for you she keyed something in Turned around at me and it went Bing and took my picture I did not realize what happened at the time. After returning home and feeling more angry I called the manager at Avon red lobster location where it had happened she said no we don’t take photo IDs that was just the machine option to take a picture of credit card. I do not believe it. My face was boxed in and it went bing. After that there was no photo option screen available anymore. There was no option for scanning my card. I had to Insert my card

I ate at Red Lobster #6258 on Friday 3/25/22. I had my receipt emailed to me, check #27959, server #[protected], auth code #52508D. There is no QR code or 12-digit code on the electronic receipt. Hence, I cannot get my reward points?
Desired outcome: Provide a method to enter my receipt into my reward points.
Fish and chip dinner
We visited Red Lobster Sunday afternoon around 5:00 p.m. I ordered the Walts Fried Shrimp and my brother ordered the fish and chips, my shrimp was great BUT my brothers fish was burnt to a crisp,hard and he could not eat the fish, so we got the waiter back to our table and let him see the fish, he took it back and said he would get another order after waiting about 10 minutes another fish dinner came out it was still burnt but not has bad as the first piece, my brother cut into the fish and it was not done and it tasted bad, we got the waiter to the table a second time and he told the waiter he told the waiter he did not want the fish because it was not done. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED in RED LOBSTER. We did not pay for the fish dinner. It will be a very long time before we will go back to Red Lobster.

Waiter slipped the server tray and hit me in the arm
Me and family was sitting there and the waiter came over with the tray and he bag an to serve the food, the tray slipped and fell into my right arm.. (bone of the bicep (food still on the plate, hot butter) the manager came over and asked if I was okay. I said yes, because I didn’t want to make a scene as other customers were staring at me. I lost my appetite and didn’t eat my meal neither did my daughter. I am not the type of person who would make a scene but I honestly thought he would of given at least my meal free or gave me a discount. But he didn’t. He didn’t even ask if I needed ice for my arm or nothing
Desired outcome: I thought it would of been handle different. I am offended and hurt by something was not my fault. I am extremely disappointed that it was brushed off as if it didn’t mean anything.
Hair on crab legs
I ordered crab legs on Postmates it took an hour to arrive, food was, and there was hair on my food. I also ordered 2 orders of crab legs and they only gave me one. Crab legs had no taste it was absolutely disgusting. Red lobster needs there employees to wear hair nets. I threw out the crab leg that had employees hair, and decided to taste 1 because I spent $40 on 2 orders of crab legs which like I said 1 of the orders didn't come.
Desired outcome: Refund.
The Quality of The Food
I visit the Red Lobster in my area weekly, an traditionally the quality of the food, an the presentation leaving the kitchen to the customer is normally very efficient.
Tonight on the other hand was no where near the food quality that Red Lobster is known for.
The alarming part, was the oysters tonight, they were not within a chilled setting when they reached me, and I had to stop eating them because of the rotten taste that the oysters had.
Finally I was done for the night when the fried shrimp and fish were very dry, and a darkish burnt hint. With nothing being noticed by the manager or server. I had to finally put aside the fried food and just pay to get out.
Normally it is not like this, and I enjoy the food, but tonight it was not only poorly managed but was on a boundary of being a health risk with the way those oysters tasted.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund at least, and a commitment to have the kitchen challenged when they’re not delivering quality food
