the manager of the store in burien washington
The manger of the store is very disresctful and rude. He pulls people if a job because his employees make mistakes. I work for an outside inventory company we count the product of the store. The store people are then suppose to count and verify the count. The store people were making mistakes in there counts and the manger pulled an inventory person off the count for the mistakes of his employees. He should have pull his employees of the count not the inventory not the inventory people that did not make the mistakes.
return merchandise
i am an old customer of ross store, an on friday last week, i went to return a few things to the store in hialeah, fl on 49 street, that i purchased, and your store manager, the security guard, and the cashier that was working on cash register number 8 call me a thief, because the tickets were not attached to the cloth, a cloth that it wasn't used, and didn't accept my return, iam a 76 year old lady and for the past 10 years iam been buying at ross every tuesday, to get my 10 % discount, but you know something, you can go to hell, for me, ross store don't exist any more. there is more second hand stores out there, like marshall, tj maxx etc, there is no need for your [censored],
The return policy clearly states that the tags MUST be attached. Just because you say you haven't worn the items, it doesn't mean other people haven't pulled similar stunts in the past, bought an outfit to wear for an event and then returned it the next day. Pretty much every retailer has the exact same return policy.
warranty claim
Dear Madam / Sir
I have purchased a Samsonite brand carry on luggage from ROSS Kissimme Florida on 13 April 2018 and at my first usage the side stitches of the luggage has come off. As you can see from the photographs attached, this is a production fault.
The price I paid was: 59.99 + % 7.5 tax.
I would like to get reimbursed and return the luggage.
Kindly direct me and let me know which steps I should follow.
Regards,
Fidan Akgul
hostile work environment
I just really need to know how to get a lawsuit or even a class action lawsuit. I am a previous manager who had to quit my job because of the mistreatment of my employees and the hostile work environment. We were told in manager meetings that the more complaints we get on alert line calls the better managers we are. They are very racist and treat black employees poorly. As a manager when I would say something Im told us managers have to stick together. Not good work place if black or if sympathize with black people.
closed doors early
The location at The Grove in Wesley Chapel
((5901 Wesley Grove Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544)) has closed their doors over 9 minutes before their closing time of 11:30pm on Tuesday, 08/28/2018. If the doors are going to close before their scheduled time, they should change it on the doors, online, and when someone calls to confirm over the phone to avoid wasting people's time. This location of night staff has the most disappointing work ethic I've ever encountered at a Ross from here to Clearwater, FL.
customer service
I had to cancell 19 items of $ 272.57 because mgr Kimberly's rough behavior she didn't care whether products are being sold or not. Sales associate put 19 items in to 2 bag which was too much loaded and ripped of . I asked to have more shopping bags for my items also I added some of the items are for gift so I need separate bag for them. Manager refused to do that and then i said ok I don't want to buy your stuff if you don't give me bag for my items. It should have customer rights to have shopping bag for purchase items.

unprofessional store manager
I went to the Ross in Wake Forest, NC with my husband and 2 year old daughter. We went to the restroom area I asked the Manager if the bathrooms were open she said yes so she proceeded to press the button and I opened the door, while I was holding open the door my husband was taking my daughter out the cart because she had to use the restroom as well during that time the manager was on the phone still holding the button and proceeded to say "omg I'm not gonna keep holding this damn button." I expected more professionalism especially from a manager. Me and my family will not be returning to that location because of her and we definitely put everything we were going to purchase back and left. Her name is Diamond. I really cannot believe she is manager. That is unacceptable behavior.
assuming all customers are thieves
Tuesday August 21, 2018 I went to 2 Ross stores in Boise Idaho. The first one, near town square, was as usual, a kind and welcoming staff. I tried on an item that I purchased with ease and left the store. Then stopped by the Ross store in North Boise and found an item to try on. When I got to the dressing room, there was a hispanic man trying on clothes. The fitting room attendant felt Every inch of his clothing, though they were flat and hung on the rack so she can see them and count them. How Humiliating! Then I walked up next, also a minority, with 1 single shirt. She felt that shirt as if it could possibly hold anything else in it... HOW HUMILIATING! I didn't have anything else in my hands going into the dressing room, yet when I cam out, she took the item again and felt every inch. I asked why she was doing it. She said she has to check them in and out that way...I then asked the cashier if it is normal for that to happen... Of course she said yes. I explained that it was he first time I've ever seen this and I always go to Ross.
Ross Dress for Less, this is NOT good business. What a way to make your customers feel welcomed at your stores.
management
I was currently in the ross store at 3501 mchenry a ve. In modesto ca. The other day and was very dissatified and upset about the way the manager ***** (alma)**** was treating her employees, very disrespectful and rude yelling at them and embarassing them in front of paying customers. Very unprofessional behavior from a so called manager of a department store. If i was an employee at that location and if she treated me the way i saw her treating people, the hr dept and labor board would love to check this out with a complaint, who knows maybe i will file one for just experiancing ing this behavior while i was there, i just thought someone should know, so she could be enlightened of the laws in the state of california! i also know that alma and the district manager frank are really good friends and have each others back, maybe thats why nothing is ever done about this. So what i am trying to say is that this has to be investigated asap or there will be a law board claim filed soon!
extremely low inventory
Went to shop for school clothes for 5 kids all ranging from toddler-juniors and they had bare racks and shelves. Literally 5 clothes left on 4 racks. And all of the kids shoes shelves were empty. Now I understand back to school tax free weekend was last weekend. But why didn't they get any inventory in - it's been a week? Folks it's shameful. Literally nothing on the shelves or racks for kids at the Silver Springs Ocala, FL location. Did the GM take a vacation for two weeks, because they seem completely oblivious to the problem. The staff was rude when I asked them why no inventory had been ordered since it's been a week?
very rude employee
Today I went to shop at Ross during Texas tax free weekend. I had my 3 kids with me. It was a long tiring day. I have a 2 year old which he was tired and cranky from all day shopping. He fell asleep in my arms. I lay him down briefly on a pillow in the cart so I could check out. The cashier associate: 411821(African American) Reg. 2 store:0547 Pasadena Tx, saw and told me I had to buy the pillow because he laid down on it. I Attempted to explain that I just used it so my hands could be free in order to check out. My 10 year old daughter was going to put it back, she shouted "no give it here". We gave it to her. Then another associate was placing the pillow to return it to the area she said no that has to be cleaned out because he drooled on it. I told her my son didn't drool, he was barely even on it. She began to tell me she doesn't know what we Mexicans( I'm Puerto Rican) have and who knows what else (diseases) we have.
A lady on the side(African American as well) couldn't believe she said that, she shook her head and rolled her eyes in disbelief as well. I was so embarrassed hurt and frustrated all at the same time. How could someone be like that?! I'm like you don't know what kind of disease people have or what they do when their trying clothes on.
This type of behavior should not be allowed. She gave me my receipt then mumbled Don't return to this store again.
I was in shock, if I had a clear head I would have not bought anything and left. My husband was beyond mad. How can you speak to customers like that. I am not surprised. It seems like this employee needs more training. The entire time I was in the line she could be heard bossing customers around. Making them take hangers from the clothes, talking to them in a condescending way.
My daughter asked me when we left. Mom why was she acting like that. I am so ashamed my daughtwr had seen that.
I don't know if I will ever go back back to Ross. If I do, it will never be to that store. Worst shopping experience of my life.
paycheck was bounced!!!
I began to work on June 18, 2018. I was told to not worry about clocking in as I was not "in the system" yet to clock in and that my manager would manually fix my hours, however, I was authorized to input my associate number in the cash register and process transactions. As a result of this, I worked off the clock more than once and whether an employer is encouraging or overlooking off-the-clock work, it is illegal. Employees may file a complaint with the Department of Labor or a lawsuit for unpaid wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act. I was reassured that my manager would accurately reflect my clock-in times and my clock-out times and not given a break at least once even though I worked for more than six hours continuously. Usually I was scheduled to work from 6:30 PM to 12:00 AM or from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM. I assumed that I would be able to leave at or a bit past 12:00 AM but I was sadly mistaken. The doors were locked at 11:30 PM and I was not allowed to leave until 1:00 AM or even past 1:30 AM. I asked my manager if I could leave the first time this happened and my ride was waiting for me and she was baffled as to why I would think I was leaving before 1:30 AM. This combined with no break was beyond physically exhausting.
I did contact Christine Hatch, Senior Representative, HR Services about my shift hour and break concerns at Christine.[protected]@ros.com, and she seemed very interested in the matter and told me that it would be resolved under her investigation. I resigned and was told that I could pick up my paycheck on Thursday, July 12, 2018, 2:08 PM. I was relieved and picked up my check on Monday, July 16, 2018 and deposited it on July 28, 2018 but was charged a returned deposit fee on July 30, 2018. The reason for the check being returned is that a "stop payment" was placed on my paycheck.
I called my store and was reprimanded for picking up the "wrong check" that I was handed to in the first place by the store manager Miriam. When I received the call to pick up my check on July 12, 2018, 2:08 PM, I specifically asked the manager Nicole what the protocol was for picking up checks and she told me to simply go to register #1 and ask for my check, which is exactly what I did. Now, on August 1, 2018 I was told that it was my fault completely for not going to the back and getting paid correctly. She claimed that she called me and told me, but in actuality she called me on July 17, 2018 at 11:48 AM and asked me if I was ever going to pick up my check and I responded by telling her that I had picked it up the day prior to that and she left it at that. The call only lasted 51 seconds.
I went to the store and was berated once again for being so foolish and doing exactly what I was told to do on the phone: going to cash register #1 and asking for my check. I spoke to manager Veronica and she asked me if I had proof and I showed her the pay statement from the check and the bank message saying that it had been issued a "stop payment", returned, and that I was charged a fee of $12 for it. She continued to scold me and eventually went to the back of the store to speak to the store manager Miriam. A few minutes later I was hastily told to sign petty cash temporary pay stubs and handed a stack of mainly five dollar and one dollar bills. Before signing the sheets I reminded Veronica about the $12 fee I was issued and she asked me if I had "proof" again which I did. I showed her the copy I had of the check I was given and the message I was sent by Wells Fargo. She acknowledged the verification and said that it was fine and that it would be dealt with after I received payment for the hours I worked. As soon as I finished signing the sheets and was given the cash, I was asked to leave. Once again I reminded Veronica of the $12 fee and she said that it was not her problem and that I would have to "go to corporate payroll for that".
I contacted Christine Hatch, Senior Representative, HR Services about my concern again at Christine.[protected]@ros.com as she was the person who assisted me before, but she referred me to [protected]@ros.com [protected]. I sent an email which has not been acknowledged, and called. The woman on the phone told me to send in evidence of the return deposit fee at [protected] or pr.[protected]@ros.com and I sent in verification to both but have yet to receive a response or even acknowledgment of it being received.

To whom it may concern:
Elizabeth was rude and unprofessional while I stood in line to do a return... I was line first and Elizabeth took it upon herself to take another customer ahead of me.. I had one pair of jean DKNY pants to return and she took a young lady who had several items ahead of me.. Even the young lady, customer apologize.. Elizabeth did not ask me if it was okay to take the young lady ahead of me.. She spoke spanish and I felt ignored and disrespected.. I spent well over $300.00 in Ross within a two day period and if I would have known I would be treated this way I could've taken my money to another establishment.. I do not spend my hard earn money in an establishment to be mistreated... I am very upset and applaud at the behavior that was displayed by Elizabeth... Please have someone contact me with a response..

Ross isn't concerned about the customers feeling welcome in their stores. I worked as a retail associate for four weeks and I resigned because all of my coworkers, managers, and customers were unbearable. We were timed on the cash register and returns typicality take longer than purchases so that might be why you were snubbed. I tried to be professional and give good service, but I was reprimanded for not hurrying them along. Once I did quit my manager took two weeks to give me my check and it was bounced! She had issued a stop payment and I was charged a returned deposit fee that she still refuses to pay for.
customer service
My five year old child needed to use the restroom and we were told the the bathrooms were already closed. Even when I explained my child was about to wet her pants and asked them to please let her go, I believe it was a manager who still told me no, the bathrooms were closed (though the store was still open for at least 2 more hours) and I would have to go somewhere else. So what I was told essentially was that they did not care if my child wet her pants in public, as long as they didn't have to clean their bathrooms again.
Hi my name is Karen, I shop at the Glenwood Springs Co., Ross Dress for Less. I Love shopping there my husband and I have found many items we love at great prices. Saying that I must say I feel sorry for the management team and cashiers, they do not have enough cashiers to take care of customers, you always see the management team doing the cashiering because apparently they do not pay enough to keep people. Than I learned not only is there pay scale low fo our are and you don't get enough hours to pay living expenses in our area. I know this first hand because my nice was hired and she quite four months later because she couldn't pay her bills She also said that the Manaerage was very rude and disespectfulnad more importantly very unprofessional to her staff. I have watched the management and there have been changes lately and see a big difference for the better with exception of one person, named Le, she is rude to customers and her staff, always talking down to them. I don't understand how Ross could allow this to go on and on she still there continuing to abuse people. Now that I have said this, I also want to say there people that work there are great the lady in the fitting room I don't remember her name but she is so thoughtful and sweet, she treats Ross customers very kindly and respectfully, thank you to her. I also find most of the other managers so friendly and helpful. Carol and Anna (I think that's her name) they are happy and friendly they make you want to shop. Carol makes you feel welcome she is so friendly always so happy and wants you to have fun shopping t Ross. Ross needs more hep to keep the store clean and organized I see they try very hard but there is just not enough of them. I hope senior management, sees my comment we need a bigger store, give them more hours, pay them a living wage so they can care for their kids and families. Please help them there are some very good people working there, most of them anyway. Ross has control over good and bad employees and the choice to get rid of good and keep the bad. We will continue to shop there because of the good and have to endure the bad knowing ross will not care or do anything. we will be praying for you all at Ross and that we get a bigger store. I hope who over sees this site will forward the comments and dong something about it.
associates' attitude
Ross associates should smile and provide true service to the customers. However, I always notice that some employees are not that friendly at all. When I am paying for my merchandise, the cashier who served me looks scary and not friendly at all. It was like she does not know how to smile. Yes maybe she was facing a problem but personal problems should not be brought at work because it affects the store's ambiance. In addition, she talked to me like I owe her a big money and gave me a different face expression which makes me mad deep inside.
Every minimum wage employee at Ross is overworked and exhausted. I had to quit after four weeks because the environment was extremely hostile and and a lot of sketchy things were occurring. (Lack of breaks, paychecks bounced, off the clock work, etc)
manager
Manager of a ross in mesquite tx. Goes by the name Jenn. She is very rude and very very unprofessional. She treats her customers along with her employees very disrespectful. She just stands there while her employees are trying there best to get the lines down and help and when she is called for help she complains and talks very rudely to the employees and customers. I will no longer shop at ross and support a company who put these kind of people in management. Sorry ross employees that you have to deal with this just to provide a living .
cashier
I went to check out, the cashier rudely yelled at me in front of all the customers that she would not take me because she is closing her light was on and there was a line full of customers I have over $200 worth of clothes I'm carrying because no available carts. It was humiliating the way she talked to me she said uhuh I'm not taking you. I felt like I was being racially profiled I'm African American & was the only person of color stands by there being yelled at it was so embarrassing I will never shop at Ross again. Her name was Reatha
I know how rude employees are and as a former employee I'm 100% on your side. Most of the workers are overworked, underpaid, and cranky. I couldn't stand the toxic environment and quit after less than a month.
dishonest company with returns
A while back I purchased a picture frame for $9.99 I decided I didn't want it because it didn't go with everything else in my house. Yesterday I drove 20 minutes to the nearest Ross in lady Lake Florida to return the frame. I didn't have the receipt but the office tag is still on the frame. I was told that they were only going to give me $6 back because I didn't have my reciept, when I asked why they said something about a Mark up? So I asked to speak with a manager, I talked to a girl named Pam who was not understanding and rude. I took the frame and left. I will not return to any Ross store until this is fixed, I am a frequent customer who has given a lot of money to this company but I do not like dishonesty. I will not help a company who tries to steal my money.
At ross if you don’t have a receipt they give the current in store price. They do mark downs every single week so if you have waited too long to return it, chances are the price went down. If you want the same price you paid for it back keep your receipts, it has always been this way, just because you didn’t take the time to ask or look it up doesn’t mean they’re dishonest.
wok
I purchased a wok at my local Ross store on July 1st 2018. I regularly shop at Ross for many different products such as clothing, shoes, food, children products, etc.
I proceeded to use the wok in my kitchen and was very disappointed with the results. The Product label advertised that it is stainless steel but I believe it was defective after it left the factory. I used the wok in the same matter I would a pan and poured some grapeseed oil in the wok, then raw chicken afterwards. The end result was that the bottom of the wok eventually turned black. This product was definitely damaged and I tried to return it at my Ross store where I purchased it and I was denied. I am very disappointed with this customer service and I will fight for a full refund.
unethical behavior
The manager of the Southchase village Ross in Orlando Fl 32824 was extremely rude to a few of the customers. When I stepped foot through the door I was told an elder women of about 75 or more needed help carrying her purchases to her car but the manager said and I quote "it is against our policy to go out and help you" which would be fine, but it was not necessary to yell it and say it in the rude manner that she did, with everyone overhearing. After that happened, one young women came up to ask the manager to please be nicer and not disrespect the older lady (who was crying at the time). Instead of being a professional and accepting the advice, she instead started arguing with the young women and began cursing at her, causing the girl to curse back and react. Im sure that you can see all of this through camera footage. Let's keep in mind that while this whole ordeal was happening, I was in line with various others, in shock, angry, and uncomfortable. This is not the first time I come here and the employees and manager behave unacceptably. I understand that sometimes people have rough days, but the way that manager acted is completely unacceptable especially as one who should lead her team. When I got to the register, the cashier herself said that the manager is like this all the time and she's planning to quit because of it.
I strongly suggest that you look into this problem and hopefully some solutions can be made with some more professional employees.
Thank You
