Safelite AutoGlass Replaced windshield

A technician replaced my windshield on 10/15/21 and I had him come back a short time later because my windows were fogging up from the inside. I usually park in the garage so I haven't noticed it. The last few days I've parked in the driveway and we've had a lot of rain. This morning when I got in my car, water was dripping on my lets from under the dash. My drivers side floor board is absolutely soaked. I need this fixed and NOW. This is ridiculous that I have to put up with him doing this to my car. I will not be happy or satisfied until this is fixed and FIXED CORRECTLY. He obviously didn't do something right in order for this to leak.

Desired outcome: I want this fixed NOW and fixed correctly

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield

I had a new windshield installed in my 2020 Edge about a month and a half ago. I have a crack starting at the windshield on the drivers side starting at the edge of the windshield and also had a very small object strike the windshield and it made a little star crack and took off a running crack. I went by the place in Amarillo. TX where I had the new one installed and they refused to be of any help. I do not know if there are different grades of windshields or not but do know the one I bought is not worth putting in. This is May 19TH 2022 Ray Dean [protected]

PO Box 5

Sunray, TX 79086

Desired outcome: The windshield should have been replaced

Safelite AutoGlass Re-recalibration failed - safety issue

5/17/2022 I went to the Miami 8th St. Location for a re-recalibration. I was told that the recalibration was not successful and that another machine was supposed to be used to recalibrate the camera in the windshield-mounted camera. They have no idea as to why recalibration was not able and now they gave me an appointment for 10/21/2022, this is unacceptable four months to wait for a re-recalibration. Meanwhile, there are safety concerns with the vehicle. All these lights on the dash of the vehicle are definitely a safety issue. I need a much sooner appointment. I need someone to call me so can further speak about this safety issue. This is the only vehicle that I have to take my kids to school and have to do daily errands during the day. My cell is [protected] someone from your customer care department should call me to see how we are going to address this safety issue.

Desired outcome: I would like a much sooner appointment than four months from today. which is what I was given. I told the Tech. that this was the only vehicle my family has. There is a safety concern and this has to be addressed as soon as possible.

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield on 2000 Honda replaced 5/13/22.

On Sat. 5/13/22, the appointment to schedule the windshield replacement on my 2000 Honda Civic was scheduled for the afternoon.

1. Tech (Glen) came late morning-thankfully I was there.

2. I went outside to see if tech was done and he was just about to call me to let me know it was done. He said everything was fine. I noticed tape on the top right corner of the car (which has never happened on any of my other replacements) and asked him about it. He said it was because he cut the rubber around the windshield because he didn't like how it looked and that it was a manufacturer defect. He said he tucked it into the windshield (whatever that means. First of all he had no right cutting that without asking me first; second, he wasn't even going to tell me he did that until I questioned him on the tape.

3. Tech did not clean car when done. I had to wipe out all the rubber/dirt crumbs from my dashboard, seats and carpets. Car stayed in driveway all day. When I went out at 7 pm to drive it, I noticed the entire top part of the windshield was cracked with the middle top being cracked in a lot of places. I was and am fearful the windshield will shatter when I drive. Since that is the only car I have, I have no choice but to drive it since I work and have no one to assist with getting me to work. Therefore, I am forced to have the windshield fixed a week later on a Saturday afternoon since I have no way to get it to the shop and the parking lot I park in for work doesn't have enough room for them to replace the windshield. The warranty appointment is scheduled for 5/21/22 in the afternoon - hopefully it won't rain, or it will have to be rescheduled.

4. I noticed he didn't transfer the car's maintenance reminder sticker on the new windshield, he mentioned it was on the old windshield and would get it and put it on. That should have been done automatically.

Desired outcome: Send different tech to replace warranty windshield; Fix/replace rubber around the windshield that was cut without permission; Clean car of debri when finished; Transfer car maintenance sticker to new windshield

Safelite AutoGlass SafeLite Cheyenne Wy, West Lincolnway

Ordered new windshield to be replaced covered by Insurance, 4/29/2020.

The installer broke new glass during installation.

5/6/2020 Shop reinstalled the new glass at no charge.

The new windshield developed a leak over the rearview mirror and above the passenger side visor, which caused a large bubble in the headliner. Also, staining the headliner fabric.

I made an appointment for the seal to be resealed, which was done.

Not long after, the next rainstorm, the leak again reappeared dripping on the dash and the bubble became larger on the passenger side headliner.

I made a second appointment which was resealed again. Next rainstorm the leak appeared again dipping on the dash and passenger side for the third time.

I have received a quote from a shop to replace the headliner is $2.650.00

GM has discontinued this item. 05 Chevy Astro LS.

Do you have a fax # so I can send any paperwork requested?

My Insurance Agent has seen pictures of the damage caused by the installer. He evidently did not apply enough sealant while installing.

Please use my email d.k.[protected]@gmail.com for easier communications.

Safelite AutoGlass Safelite Rip Off

I had a chip in my new Ram Truck front window. After talking to the Tech he told me I can get it filled and if I didn’t like the results the cost of the Chip repair will go toward the window replacement or co-pay. Needless to say the chip repair didn’t work and I could see the chip so I chose to replace my windshield. I was told I had to pay the full co-pay and they would send me a refund. The refund never came and when I called and finally got someone O was told they don’t do that and they would have the manager call me which I never received a call.

Desired outcome: I want the money I was told I would get back for the chip repair.

Safelite AutoGlass Poor customer service

I called at 4:37pm to inquire about my service appointment because I hadn’t heard. Apparently the phone number in record was wrong which makes no sense because I used the geico app. Additionally the email I was sent from the “shop” went to spam. Needless to say say I missed my appointment. There was no effort made to secure me a new appointment the next day and even though I was within my appointment window the tech refused to honor my appointment. Long story short the agent hung up on me which is grossly unprofessional!

Safelite AutoGlass Apology would be nice

Safelite use to be a same day service when car windows are shattered. When 2 of mine were broken during a vandalism in April 2022, I had to wait several days for the windows to be replaced (allegedly due to the pandemic). Trusting all was fine I embarked on a 20+ hour road trip only to find that one window was not powered. I made numerous calls to Safelite each time explaining the window was intact but not powered and also slightly opening to the point I had a ½ inch space. When I reached my destination, the first Safelite service man diagnosed it to be a broken regulator and promised to order the part and have it replaced. After 2 more service appointments that were canceled at the last minute, I was finally told they do not replace regulators, only windows. This resulted in 3 lost vacation days waiting for service Safelite does not provide and also the opportunity to have the window actually repaired during the vacation. Hence, I had a nonworking window (most probably broken by the Safelite repairman since with was not diagnosed when replaced) that were taped up for both the journey to and from Florida from Massachusetts because of Safelites’ poor customer service.

Safelite AutoGlass customer service

I had my windshield replaced a couple of weeks ago at the Bonny Oaks Dr location in Chattanooga, Tennessee and a couple of days after that my rearview mirror broke/fell off. I made an appointment today to have it fixed under warranty and my son took it for me. They told him I have to call Nissan and order a new one. How is this my task to do as it was fine until they replaced my windshield. I don't have time to do their job as this should be their issue under my warranty. I don't appreciate this as I took the mirror to them and showed them the day it fell off and was told it would be fixed under warranty. Never mentioned that it was should that I would have to do. I have used this same location in the past without issue and don't appreciate this customer service as a repeat customer that would have recommended them before this incident. My personal email is [protected]@charter.net and cell number to look up the account is [protected].

Desired outcome: They order a new mirror and install it.

Safelite AutoGlass Windshield replacement

I made a windshield replacement appointment on 4/25/2022 scheduled for 5/4/2022 between 12p-5p. On 5/4/22 @ 10am I received a call they had to reschedule due to overbooking for that day and next available date was 5/17/2022, two weeks away. My question was why such short notice on rescheduling and length of time for next appointment. If the next available appointment isn't until two weeks away why wasn't this notice when I made the original appointment on 4/25/2022.

Safelite AutoGlass Damaged my rear door

If you have this branch (Cherry Hill, NJ) replacing your window, BEWARE! They were scheduled to do a rear glass replacement at my home. Before the appointment, I vacuumed all excess glass from the rear door area. My rear door was fully functional. I then left the van parked for the remainder of the week (4 days) only duct taping plastic over the damaged rear window. My wife was home when the technician arrived. After working on the replacement for an hour, the technician tells my wife that the rear door will not open/close. He tells her that he has to take it to the shop (15 min. drive w/traffic) across town. 3.5hrs later, my wife texts me at work telling me that the technician still has not brought the van back. She then calls the technician asking where is he with the van. He responded that he'll bring the van back. A total of 4hrs had passed that the van was taken from our home. Upon returning the van, the technician told my wife that the door was STILL unfunctional, gave her a receipt and left. When I got home from work (10min after the tech left), she tried to explain what the tech explained. The next day (on a Sat.), I went to the location to question the details, but nobody was there that knew the details. Went back there on Mon (after work) and spoke with the Assist. Mngr. He explained that the "story" that they are sticking to and he ended it by saying, "There's nothing we can do about it. It's mechanical. We only replace windows." He suggested I take it to the dealership to get the door fixed. The first incident of them denying responsibility for damaging my rear door. Now at this time, there was no paperwork or report detailing anything that was being said that documented what happened with my van. After going to the dealership (and an additional $160 later), the dealership diagnosed the door issue (in 30min) and showed me that the door will not function because it was misaligned. They gave me documentation of the diagnosed findings. I returned to the Cherry Hill location, with the documentation, explained what was discovered. I was told that the manager would give me a call on Mon. I received no call on Mon. I called Tues-Thurs with the same result; automative voice service that leads to an ended call never speaking to any person. The following Tues, I appeared back at the location and reluctantly spoke to the same Assist. Mngr that I had spoken to before. Now that I have proven this responsibility falls on them, he asked me what am I looking forward to resolve this. I said that I want my door fixed and reimbursement of the $160 spent for the dealership diagnosis. This begins 2nd incident of them denying responsibility. He continuously attempts apologizing but still "sticking to the story" and tells me that he will have the manager call me. When the manager called, I explained to him all of the facts:

1. The door was functioning perfect before the tech arrived for the appointment.

2. The tech worked on the window replacement, for an hour, at my home claiming the door was not functioning after the window was replaced.

3. The tech took my van from my home, to the shop for 4hrs, returning the van STILL with the door not functioning. Presenting my wife with only a receipt of payment.

4. Following the advice of Safelite, I took the van to the dealership and the dealership was able to determine the door is misaligned and provided documentation of their findings.

I then asked the manager where is the documentation of his tech's findings. The manager admitted that there is none, but began "back-peddling" by saying, "The receipt is documentation." From this point on, the manager refused to admit responsibility. I then demanded that he present every document that the office has on file in reference to the service of my van ready for me to pickup after I get out of work. All that was provided, was a computer version of the receipt of payment. No report or documentation, of any kind, has been presented as evidence that there was no fault on their behalf.

- Totally Unsatisfied Customer

Desired outcome: 1. Full refund of service payment2. Reimbursement of additional monies spent of dealership diagnosis3. Payment to have the rear door realigned

Safelite AutoGlass Appointment

On thursday April 28 I had an appointment scheduled between 1 and 6 pm I received an email at 11:19 Am on this date informing me who the tech was. At 4:19 I read the email because I hadn't heard from anyone during the time frame. I notice that they had the wrong address so I called too let them him know that they had put the incorrect address down. At which time a lot of the tech went home at lunch and I would have tobe rescheduled. The issue is that when you replace my windshield early is you pit a used windshield in my car the tech showed me the cheap on the bottom and insured that it would be covered by the warrant no problem. The issue is in my 2019 niro the deforst has sensor on the windshield and know my HVAC system in my car isn't working correctly and the warrant from Kia on that is void because of your company putting the windshield in. My appointment today was for you to repair it. So I took the afternoon off to insure it was correct and your company didn't have the courtesy to call and tell me that I had to be rescheduled. which cost me a days pay. That if all on the manger of the cumming Ga stores shoulder. the day in made this appointment he lied to me and said you don't put used glass in. 1st he lied to me new glasses doesn't have chips and then doesn't have the courtesy to let you know your appointment isn't going to happen. Looks to me like you would not want that representing your business.

Safelite AutoGlass Order number: [protected]

My car was serviced on March 30th. I was told that my windshield could not be calibrated because they had an issue replacing the windshield. I was told it was not seated properly and it was an error on their part. I was told that another windshield would need to be installed and I would be called when one was available.

To date I have not been called. I called customer service on April 7 and the person with whom I spoke with said she would send a priority message because no one was answering the phone.

Safelite has already been paid yet I can't get anyone to call me to let me know what is being done to get my cars safety features and bluetooth back online.

I depend heavily on my bluetooth, backup cameras and all the other features that are currently not reliable.

Safelite AutoGlass 3/10/22 repair of windshield

Safelite came to my place of business to repair a chip in my windshield. The Technician did a horrible job. The dimple is still in the windshield and the filler was smeared on the windshield. When it is raining at night the streak of the filler shows up on my windshield. Very distracting.

On 4/6/22 the same tech came out and said the chipped area would have to be drilled out and replaced and the area would be even bigger.

Safelight customer no service said it was my windshield's fault as all glass is different and they don't guarantee their work. My explanation was it was not done properly and then they sent out the same tech. I specifically ask for different tech. Customer no service wanted to send out another tech to decide if he can put more filler in the dimple. The first tech was adamant you could not do this. Wow, did I ever make a mistake by using them - learned my lesson.

I ask Safelite to replace my windshield as the job was not done properly Of course, they want more $$$. Bad job and they want more $$$ - not happening.

Desired outcome: Nothing as I absolutely will never use again.
