Your entire store
The produce has gone down so much that it ALL has mold on it. The summer fruit is mushy, moldy and just inedible. We spend on average over $300.00 per week and have FINALLY decided to go to another store. No more of our hard earned money. You discontinue items without notice, including products that sell. You keep [censored] that doesn't sell and just get more of the crap in that sits on shelves. Your prices go up and your quality goes down. Items that are for summer such as Pam For Grilling you can not get anymore even though it is BBQ season. When you ask them to order it, they don't. I guess you are more into money than your customers, What a shame.
Lost customer for life

Desired outcome: Just to [censored] because you will do nothing
Pharmacy
They never answer their phone calls, never return calls and when I choose the option for them to call my doctor for a refill, they never call my doctor, ever. When I go in there, it's not busy, no line or people. Just someone staring at the computer. It takes them 10 minutes to acknowledge that you are there. I'm taking my business elsewhere and people should consider doing the same.
Yellow lucerne dairy 1% milk cartons
Of the last 7 of these milk cartons I purchased, 4 leaked. Not a lot but enough to make a mess in the refrigerator. In one case the whole spout popped off when I pulled the ring .
The cartons appeared to be leaking from the seams in the bottom of the carton.
I don't know if this is a large problem, but I don't think it needs a whole 350 characters to be taken seriously. Oh my gosh, I did take over 350 characters so I will expect the problem to be taken care of.
Desired outcome: I suggest a little more quality control by either you or your supplier.
Service
Hello, I was in one of your stores today, and was looking for a specific item, an item that I know Safeway sells. While I was at the 700 S Greeley Hwy Cheyenne, WY 82007 United States location, I asked an employee of yours to assist me with finding this item. They're the Harvest Pea Snaps. So, I approached a guy that was working at the "U-Scan" lane and...

Yesterday, I filed the following complaint about Safeway Store #270 In Flagstaff, Arizona. Today I got a call from the manager of store 207 in Honolulu, Hawaii, apologizing! Can I get a response from the correct store? Yesterday morning, I shopped at Safeway Store 270 in Flagstaff, Arizona. I came up to the checkout, and there were no cashiers — not one. I...
Read full review of Safewaycustomer service---cashiers DODGING customers, trying to avoid work
This store, Middlefield Palo Alto, is notorious for having 8 or 9 check out aisles, but they act deathly afraid to ever actually open more than 1, tops 2 no matter how busy the store gets. This afternoon, July 1st, there was a fat white man checker, completely avoiding work, standing nowhere near the aisle that was supposed to be "open", while making a young black woman take loaded cart after loaded cart after loaded cart. Right next to her, was an aisle that looked open, but when I pushed my cart over, the young hispanic woman immediately pulled the phone cord looking thing and clicked her aisle closed. So I went back to the black woman's aisle and waited. and waited. Seeing a light on the aisle on the far right side, I pushed my cart over. But the fat white man near not in that aisle, immediately began walking the other way. By the time I was there, he was long gone. So, I returned, and now my place in line had been lost, and I had longer to wait. So, I asked out loud, "can I please pay someone for my groceries?" but no one responded. So I waited again. and waited. The hispanic woman was still standing next her register doing nothing in her closed aisle. But I saw the fat white man standing somewhat close--maybe next to closed aisle 2. So, leaving my cart, I walked over this time and asked him, does the light on that lane, mean that aisle is open? and he responded, "yes, I've been open but haven't had any customers all morning." etc. and I responded, 'what nonsense! you weren't there.' At this point, believe it or not, the Hispanic woman decided she would unclick her self-closed aisle to seemingly reopen it.
This is my interpretation of the situation. The fat white man checker sees himself as 'massah' or plantation owner, and he does no actual work himself. It is beneath him., so he tries to make the young black woman do all the work. The hispanic woman is in the middle. She envies the style of the fat white man, and would like to emulate his (laziness) job shifting to the young black woman who does all the work.
Just another day in Palo Alto Safeway.
Desired outcome: Could you have more than one person working in checking out--I mean actually working, not pretending to work and running away when customers approach?
Over Charging
Today, July 1st at 11:35 am, the Safeway store 3136 on Barbur & Capitol Hill Road (Portland, OR) over charged me $16.96 on a bill of $41.82, or a 40.5% over charge. The overcharge was refunded, as I spoke to several people who all said it was the "system". The manager whom I spoke with indicated she could not do anything about it. I had to tell her to make a copy and send it to their IT Dept. so the "system" could be corrected. I doubt the copy still exists. She bordered on "rude" since I had disturbed her lunch hour.
I called customer service and spoke to a very competent person who got all of the details and indicated she would forward this description to the regional manager. I believe she will.
Safeway indicates they are "helping the homeless" with their bags of food. Naturally I am skeptical since this type of overcharging has to be caught by customers, and then proper corrections to the "system" are not made.
Desired outcome: Safeway Refund for all items overcharged to all customers
Cannot send me just for u emails
I have been waiting for years for Safeway to fix their problem where they cannot send me Just for U emails. They used to, but I am told they cannot now even though I am using the same email address that worked before! My first recorded contact with Safeway about this was 1/12/2017 and I have contacted them at least 12 times about this issue and it still is not fixed.
This is ridiculous.
Desired outcome: Fix problem!
Store employee possible theft
The scanner rung up frisky brand cat food incorrectly. I went to the service desk whereas a lady named Patti was working. At the very start I felt uncomfortable with her attitude and then she not only did one very long checking out the price on it but a much longer second price check by het as well. Finally she come to the conclusion it rung up wrong and gave me 2.00$. I told her I would like my tax money as well she made some snide remark upsetting me highly. Then she tells me to get in behind the line when I asked for manager. Well I got Georges attention and my tax money as well I feel this was racially motivated and I expect her to be fired ! Nothing less will satisfy me.
Desired outcome: Fired
Employee conduct/attitude
I have had a few negative experience s with a couple of employee s who work at the Safeway in Lodi, CA .
Nothing directly offensive has been said to me but I can tell these employee s :
a) Do not, "like" me; when I enter the store
b) Believe that I am stealing while in the
store.
Tonight, for example, as soon as my presence here was noticed, the clercks at the register s called over the intercom for SECURITY to walk the floor, then another woman walked past me but when I did not aknowledge her turned around & started asking me about the ice cream flavors...in a very obviously mocking tone.
I t is important to note that I am a little "slow" from a head injury many years ago & sometimes I have had to take a bit longer to shop as a result.
But this is the end of the rope. Enough is enough.
Desired outcome: An apology for this unbecoming treatment
Deli
I have worked at the Safeway store 2792 (conifer, Colorado) for about 3 years. Yesterday, while at work in the deli just after I arrived, my manager overwhelmed me with t e problems and complaints from the morning before I arrived. Anything I did she was on top of me complaining to the point I would consider badgering me. I have always tried to comply with...

While I was coming back from Godfathers Pizza after I had received my pizza, I was driving my cart to the car when suddenly there were cracks within the parking lot and I had almost lost all of my coke soda! It was a mess! So, could you please, fix the cracks that are within the parking lot that's in front of your safeway store? I would appreciate it, if you could! Thank you! I have got 3 images of the cracks. -Sincerely, Alec

Does anyone know what recourse I have with Safeway? I ordered groceries for delivery 2 days ago. When my order was delivered 90% of my order was missing because apparently they forgot a couple bags at their American Canyon Store according to the store manager there. I was told they would deliver the rest of my order between 8 am and 12 pm and nobody showed...
Read full review of SafewayCashier's rudeness at Store #700 2760 Homestead Rd., Santa Clara, Ca.
This afternoon the cashier on duty (@ 2:55pm)( I did not get her name) at self check-out made a point of rudely speaking (loudly) to me that a face mask was necessary in store. I told her that I was vaccinated and that I did not require a face mask. She insistent, again loudly, that I needed to to have a face mask on my face. She was adamant on being the face mask police and I felt she did not handle this situation tactfully at all. I spoke with the store manager--Marcus Shruff--.
May I make this suggestion, that in the future the store employee should just go up to the unmasked customer and offer them a mask to be used by the customer. Making a positive point instead of a confrontational attitude.
I felt that this cashier was rude and wanted every person around at the time to hear her and embarrass me.
Home delivery
The website has no place to give special instructions to the driver or any options on delivery. I am in a wheel chair and I live alone. Piling bags at the foot of the ramp means I literally CANNOT go out the door. I need help bringing them in. But Safeway has ceased using it's own delivery personnel--some of whom got to know me and my needs. Safeway should be using it's own personnel who can get to know customers and should alter it's online website to permit special instructions to the driver. In my situation someone to bring the groceries inside is invaluable.
Desired outcome: Return to using Safeway employees and not Door Dash. Alter website delivery page to allow special instructions.

It took m 5x to down load the app and there was no spinning clock to indicate validation and verification that the app was properly downloaded. I had to go to the the store to ask how to work the app and scan bar codes from a 20-year old.
Desired outcome: Integrity, do a beta test with grandma before pushing it onto the customer.
Signature select kettle corn
I purchased a box of your kettle corn, it definitely did not taste like kettle corn, it tasted like regular popcorn. I was very disappointed. It's supposed to be sweet which was not the case. pharmacy at College avenue and Claremont in Oakland California.
I brought to the pharmacist a prescription for 60 ounces of medication. The pharmacist told me" I only have 30 ounce tubes."
Here was the discussion and outcome. "Well can you sell me two thirty ounce tubes since there prescription asks for 60 ounces, " I asked. "No, I can only sell one tube, " said the pharmacist. The only solution was given by the pharmacist, "You can come here next Tuesday after it comes in, " said the pharmacist. ?I grabbed for the prescription, "no I have to keep the prescription and you can pick up the prescription on Tuesday, " he said.
I think that the [harmacist should have been able to sell me two tubes of 30 ounces each which equals 60 ounces as spelled our on the prescription. And had I decided to go elsewhere for my complete prescription I should have been able to have in my possession the original prescription.
Mt reasoning for getting the prescription at Safeway was the efficiency of getting the prescription filled while I got some grocery shopping done at the same time. So now it is Friday and now I have to come back Tuesday? I can do that however does this make me want to go to Safeway for any more prescriptions? I could have stopped at CVS, or Walgreens, but I had no choice but come back Tuesday which is four days later is the 60 ounce tube arrives as stated by the pharmacist.
The prescription only stated 60 ounces. It did not state 60 ounces had to be in one tube. This was my first experience with Safeway pharmacy that I remember. This sould have been so simple, but now complex delaying my medication, and forcing me to come back four days later on a special trip.
Russell Wikander
Desired outcome: Be more accommodating to make prescriptions work. Pharmacists should be able to add 30 + 30 =60. Seems so simple doesn't it.
Monopoly issues
Hello,
I have been playing the Safeway Monopoly game for a few years now. I agree with the other reviews I have read that it is simply a waste of time. The most you win on the Instant Winners is a small bottle of water or an 89cent seasoning packet. I have had Instant Winners for things like Coffee Mate creamer, Organic cookies and a bottle of vinegar that I scanned into the app but then after getting them and going home and reviewing my receipt I see that I was charged full price for these items. Items I never would have actually bought in the 1st place. And oh ya, lets not forget about the Deluxe Nail Clipper that I won but that Safeway no longer stocks or sells. WTH is the point then?!? Sooo irritating and stupid.
Pissed off customer going somewhere else.
Desired outcome: Reimburse me for the [censored] I won but paid full price for and substitute something for the [censored] I won but that you dont even carry.
