The way this company treats its employees is disgusting. I don't know how the owner of the franchise can sleep at night. Threatening people's positions of employment with them is in know way motivational or going to make people happy working for them. They need to get their prioities strsight. They should be glad they get any customers at all instead of the whole force feeding credit down everyones throats and making life hell, for their employees who have trouble adhereing to their unreasonable demands. With the economy the way it is their lucky anyone sets foot in their store at all and are very lucky if anyone actually buys anything from them much less uses a credit card in their store. They need to see reality. People don't want credit they don't want to end up in det and companies don't like to issue a lot of credit out of fear they will not get paid. They need to change the horrendus way they deal with their buisness period!

Bought tires from sears, with 4 wheel alignment. Less then a year later, my wife was back to sears for an oil change/tire rotation. The tech mentioned the tires were < 50 % tire trend and suggested not to rotate tires and keep best tires on front. Even though I has sears rotate tires at an earler visit, they refused to pro rate tires.

On Jan. 26 2011 I attempted to make a purchase at a local Sears store. I was informed that my credit account was closed because of inactivity. Apparently the card was not used since 2007. I have had a Sears Credit card since 1977. Since I had to undergo Cancer treatments during the time period of inactivity my card is canceled.
Please re-instate my credit card. It's the human thing to do.

Ordered parts from Sears online parts direct. It showed backordered with no estimate of fulfillment date. Canceled it online and received auto email confirming cancellation. This was followed by a note from a seemingly real person whom refused to cancel although they confirmed the part had not shipped or billed yet. I am doing everything to appeal this but only getting increasing frustration and dissatisfaction with Sears.

I am having the same issue with my freezer not freezing. I have jumped through all the hoops they have wanted and still do not have a resolution. My fridge is only 3 years old and Sears is not doing anything about it. I am so upset and do not know what to do anymore.

I have excellent credit and would have paid cash, but they said they cannot make a sale without a phone number.
I tried to file a complaint on their web site, but they do not accept complaints without a phone number.
While I am without a phone by choice, some people cannot afford a phone, and I do not believe a store should be able to refuse service to those people.

I cannot get the Sears rebate center to give me my rebate money. They say -- every time I call -- that I will get it in 2-3 weeks. I sent it in during January of 2007. I don't believe I will ever get it.
They said they don't fill rebate requests unless the customer calls in to complain that it was not received!
What nonsense is that?
No more Sears products in my house.

I have bought washer, dryer, stove, refregator, freezer, lawn mower, outside building, chainsaw, took out extended coverage, but when dryer broke down, they have changed dates to fix it three times, now it will be two months.All they will say I am sorry, that doesn't fix the dryer, spent all this money with them, will not do it again, this is a $1000 machine.

Sears Outlet center sold a freezerless fridge that doesnt work..and now they cannot give me repair appointments for weeks! The customer service rep I spoke to hung up on me when I tried to figure out a solution. Beware to future customers..Sears isnt a company that stands by their products!

We went to sears in Cerritos and Downey, ca and there are no dresses in the plus size/women's departments. We were told in both stores that they only carry dresses at holiday times. Do they not think that a size 18 -24 career women needs dresses all year round. There are Jr. section that have beautiful selection of casual, career and even dressy dresses. Sears
Is showing a severe discrimination towards plus size women.

In theory they should be able to cater for all sizes for all seasons, but sometimes that is not possible. Maybe Sears has dresses all year round for the most common sizes. I have read that the most common size for American women is about a size 14 or 16 (although my sources may be dated). It may be that Sear is catering for the more profitable market and does not have room in the Plus Size department.
It may be that it costs too much to produce the dresses (more material) and they want to stock them only when there is guarentee of being sold. May be when Sears does have the dresses in stock there is too much of a lack of interest

We have a service contract with Sears for our Kenmore refrigerator. I called to have it serviced on July 10th, it is now July 29th and I still have not gotten service! They have cancelled on me 3 times! Every time we call to reschedule the appointment, we are left holding on the phone for long periods of time. The whole thing is a nightmare! Now someone is supposed to come tomorrow between 8 and 5. Good luck to me!

With no provoking, other than disagreement about a promised discount which he did not honor, went ballistic, hurling obscenities, banning us from the store. I said nothing as I tried to get my 85 year old disabled mother out of the store. We were afraid for our safety as he tried to get us out. Screaming at the top of his lungs, he followed us to the door in a threatening manner.This behavior is not acceptable no matter what the circumstances.

I ordered a video chair on Sears.com for 126.00. After item was ordered, i was charged 149.00 for shipping PLUS the 126.00. I immediately called and was told i can't cancel the order. They gave me a number to call on Monday. I called Monday to cancel, and they told me it was canceled. I called again today and was told it was already shipped and Sears charged me 298.50! How can Sears pull this off? I will never deal with Sears again.

I brought my truck in to have a tire replaced that was under warranty. I am still waiting and it has been over an hour. They have not even brought my truck into the bay. Are they busy? Does not appear so! There are about 4 guys watching a 5th play with some fancy rims and stereo on some other car. Two other guys are dancing around in the auto bay. Meanwhile, I am sitting here on the most uncomfortable chairs waiting.

Sear was unwilling to ship me my order and now says they have no more. So they just cancelled it without calling me or anything and all the say is sorry. When asked they say they just can not offer any more at that price - but they took my order and sent a confirmation e-mail and sent a voice mail

I have just started a few weeks ago with Sears, an employee saw me take prescription pain meds and I said I had a bad back. the person then went on to tell another person in our dept that if management found out i was a drug addict they would fire me. I talked to one of the managers, he just said not to pay attention to the person. the meds I take aren't even a narcotic. The manager I spoke to said that he had already heard about it. and not to worry they weren't going to fire me or anything like that. I did not have to disclose a disability to the employer, but someone else did. I need advise. Anyone?

I would have to agree this company deos not know how to treat its customers or employes I haven't hade a raise in 2 years and our sales where good and yet no raise that a slap in the face to me I'm sorry but when that happens over and over and you work your butt off and don't get shown any kind of appreciation it makes you not wanna work hard anymore why should you if you just keep getting knocked down. Not only that but they keep adding new requirements just keep adding new things that we need to do that actually make it harder not easier I wish I could tell the owner of the company how I feel but he doesn't care he knows what's going on but just deosnt give a crap

I have been working for sears part time. At night..the two people in charge are horrible, they yell and curse at the employees, name calling, like stupid mf, bumb ###...etc.. 3 months and I am ready to quit, before isomEthing bad happend.. The Cheektowaga facility outside of buffalo ny. Night shift.. The conditions are not good here, a very high turn over rate, it needs to be cleaned uup unless sears is saying this is the type of conducttee expect from our pEople in charge..

i have no idea how to send a complaint in so im going thru here im waighting for a check that is from temporary disablity .. i have worked for sears for three years in dec i had done multible jobs and helped were neeeded i had known more departments in the store then any one there at multiple levels i got realy sick one day and then couldn't go to work i tried to go back and was bullied by a maneger and nothing has been done ive called sevral different places about this check that was approved for back pay i called 88 sears when i found out i had a month coming and they said they had the pappers i would recieve on the 31 st 31 st came and went and no check i called 88 sears they said they had no idea what i was talking about called cigma they gave me leave management number which they were easy to talk to and tryed to help i called my work they called the hr rep and then i waited on tuesday the 4 th i called my work agian after waiting scence sat to see if it got processed .. i was told a email just came in . and that my benefits ended on oct 17 i siad i know i havnt been paid for that though so i asked for the person number they took mine and said they would call me no call yet been 24 hours by friday i loose my house if i dont get that check this place has striped me from my famly and now holding back my check to loose my home ., i have to go thru rehabilitation to ever work agian . and thats a long process the diagnoses is bi polor but cause is un necessary stress and abuse at work . ive worked scene i could remember never have i been out of work for my disorder and never have i had problems function they way they treat people is awful my manger in my department even back ed me in a corner and yelled at me and then did it again after i got back from leave another time threatening me i told management they said theyd take care of it and never did

As I can see that these things are not just happening to my daughter and hopefully I can get some answers on how and whom I can address these issues with...
My daughter has been working for sears for a little over two months and within the first two weeks she was being harassed about pushing these credit apps which in this day and time no one is really interested in them or have them already but the Managers are harassing the employees to harass the customers to apply for these credit apps. There have been several times that customers have gotten extremely upset about my daughters persistence which leaves her feeling really bad, not only is she being treated and talked to poorly because she is not getting the credit apps that the customers turn down but she getting a double whammy from the customers getting upset with her about her persistence. The Manager has gone as far as to embarrass her in front of customers about the credit apps yelling at her asking her if she can read and write and then later in the day telling her that its against the law to not ask customers if they would like to apply for these credit apps. My daughter called me this evening extremely upset from work saying she doesn't know what to do because she needs this job to support her son until she can find another one but this harassment is so very stressful for her and she cant take it. She said they called her from the office and asked if she had gotten any credit apps yet and then called back 20 minutes later asking the same thing. This isn't the only problem she having but at this point its the only one Im putting out here right now to see if anyone knows what steps she needs to take to help her situation. Yes quitting is an option but right not shes making a sacrifice by putting up with all of this until she finds another job because she has a son to take care of. By reading the other comments its obvious that this needs to be put to a stop, Sears harasses and discriminates and they get away with it. No wonder there stores are empty. If you can humiliate disrespect and belittle one of your own coworkers in front of customers why would one want to spend any money with you.

I am a former employee of Sears in Nashville Tn. I was at a location that is now closing in Aug.2015
I was there for almost 4 years. This location was attached to a closed mall that has been closed for at
least 4-5 years. Just a few months ago I was accused of theft by taking, by management!
The manager on duty at that time called me into their security office, and then out of nowhere a man, who
supposedly worked for their security division, or was hired to do so, told me to sit down. He then threatened
my life and my family if I did not admit to taking $800.
I regret signing this agreement that I took the money! Sears at this location was over promising customers
mattress deliveries, and then never delivering them or kept the customer waiting for weeks for a mattress!
What am I saying? I did try to avoid a customer from cancelling a big sale because they were very upset,
not receiving their bed. I gave the angry customer a free mattress protector without management approval, and a $20 bill! That is it! Well that was caught on tape and, this Sears location was already having trouble with
many customers walking out the door with Craftsman tools.
So this security investigator showed me on a photo ( not a video ) with the register open, and a $20 cash
right beside the register. The security man said that if I did not admit to taking $800 then he would make
sure my wife and grandchildren would die! Then if I did sign I could just go home!
So out of fear, and stupidity, I signed the agreement without asking for my lawyer! Then he told me to stay seated a moment, and the within 30 minutes the local police arrested me and I was in jail for theft by taking.
A felony since it was over $500. Well now I have a felony on my record, and still fear this guy may have something done to my wife, and my grandkids!
I know I was not smart signing the agreement, and should of just said " I did not take the money, and I am going home!" But the security gent said my family was at risk!
I am thinking about a law suite against Sears, and finding out who this security guy was! He did not greet me with his name at the start!
So I am not sure to just let it go, or file a law suite? The sad part my record has a felony on it, and makes me look like a criminal!
What do you think? This Sears is closing down as I said Aug. 2015. But I can file suite on corporate!

We bought a dryer listed at $399 and were told there was a rebate on the delivery. We were also told not to use our sears card because there was a 10% off promotion and that would make our sale go below $399 and not eligible for the delivery rebate. Now they will not honor the rebate because on the back of the form it states you have to finance with your sears card and will not refund the delivery costs if we return it. I called the refund help desk and they said to wait 48 hrs and the rebate would go through. That did not happen and now the rebate is off.
SEARS is horrible. I guess they operate under the K-mart mentality now.

I worked for Sears in appliances from [protected]. If a customer was refused a rebate after following proper procedures and had their salescheck (or I looked it up if they used their Sears credit card), I would perform a sales adjustment on the original sale for the amount of the rebate. No problem. Done. Happy customer. If this happens to you, ask your salesperson to do this. They can.

Bought tires from sears, with 4 wheel alignment. Less then a year later, my wife was back to sears for an oil change/tire rotation. The tech mentioned the tires were < 50 % tire trend and suggested not to rotate tires and keep best tires on front. Even though I has sears rotate tires at an earler visit, they refused to pro rate tires.
On Jan. 26 2011 I attempted to make a purchase at a local Sears store. I was informed that my credit account was closed because of inactivity. Apparently the card was not used since 2007. I have had a Sears Credit card since 1977. Since I had to undergo Cancer treatments during the time period of inactivity my card is canceled.
Please re-instate my credit card. It's the human thing to do.

Ordered parts from Sears online parts direct. It showed backordered with no estimate of fulfillment date. Canceled it online and received auto email confirming cancellation. This was followed by a note from a seemingly real person whom refused to cancel although they confirmed the part had not shipped or billed yet. I am doing everything to appeal this but only getting increasing frustration and dissatisfaction with Sears.
I am having the same issue with my freezer not freezing. I have jumped through all the hoops they have wanted and still do not have a resolution. My fridge is only 3 years old and Sears is not doing anything about it. I am so upset and do not know what to do anymore.
I have excellent credit and would have paid cash, but they said they cannot make a sale without a phone number.
I tried to file a complaint on their web site, but they do not accept complaints without a phone number.
While I am without a phone by choice, some people cannot afford a phone, and I do not believe a store should be able to refuse service to those people.
I cannot get the Sears rebate center to give me my rebate money. They say -- every time I call -- that I will get it in 2-3 weeks. I sent it in during January of 2007. I don't believe I will ever get it.
They said they don't fill rebate requests unless the customer calls in to complain that it was not received!

I have bought washer, dryer, stove, refregator, freezer, lawn mower, outside building, chainsaw, took out extended coverage, but when dryer broke down, they have changed dates to fix it three times, now it will be two months.All they will say I am sorry, that doesn't fix the dryer, spent all this money with them, will not do it again, this is a $1000 machine.

Sears Outlet center sold a freezerless fridge that doesnt work..and now they cannot give me repair appointments for weeks! The customer service rep I spoke to hung up on me when I tried to figure out a solution. Beware to future customers..Sears isnt a company that stands by their products!
Return it back to Sears if it is defective. If you paid for delivery, return delivery (if item is defective) is included. That's what they have printed on the receipts from my store.
We went to sears in Cerritos and Downey, ca and there are no dresses in the plus size/women's departments. We were told in both stores that they only carry dresses at holiday times. Do they not think that a size 18 -24 career women needs dresses all year round. There are Jr. section that have beautiful selection of casual, career and even dressy dresses. Sears

In theory they should be able to cater for all sizes for all seasons, but sometimes that is not possible. Maybe Sears has dresses all year round for the most common sizes. I have read that the most common size for American women is about a size 14 or 16 (although my sources may be dated). It may be that Sear is catering for the more profitable market and does not have room in the Plus Size department.
It may be that it costs too much to produce the dresses (more material) and they want to stock them only when there is guarentee of being sold. May be when Sears does have the dresses in stock there is too much of a lack of interest

We have a service contract with Sears for our Kenmore refrigerator. I called to have it serviced on July 10th, it is now July 29th and I still have not gotten service! They have cancelled on me 3 times! Every time we call to reschedule the appointment, we are left holding on the phone for long periods of time. The whole thing is a nightmare! Now someone is supposed to come tomorrow between 8 and 5. Good luck to me!
Seems my craftsman cicular saw has too much slop in the arbor. Makes it near impossible to cut straight. Appears to be manufacturing defect. Local store refuses to exchange.
With no provoking, other than disagreement about a promised discount which he did not honor, went ballistic, hurling obscenities, banning us from the store. I said nothing as I tried to get my 85 year old disabled mother out of the store. We were afraid for our safety as he tried to get us out. Screaming at the top of his lungs, he followed us to the door in a threatening manner.This behavior is not acceptable no matter what the circumstances.

I ordered a video chair on Sears.com for 126.00. After item was ordered, i was charged 149.00 for shipping PLUS the 126.00. I immediately called and was told i can't cancel the order. They gave me a number to call on Monday. I called Monday to cancel, and they told me it was canceled. I called again today and was told it was already shipped and Sears charged me 298.50! How can Sears pull this off? I will never deal with Sears again.
purchased stove and refrigerator, waiting for scheduled delivery, yesterday at 8 am 3/9/12.called, got the run around all day.waited until 5pm, called.they said they would call between 6-9pm with a new delivery time for today.Never Called. I brought my truck in to have a tire replaced that was under warranty. I am still waiting and it has been over an hour. They have not even brought my truck into the bay. Are they busy? Does not appear so! There are about 4 guys watching a 5th play with some fancy rims and stereo on some other car. Two other guys are dancing around in the auto bay. Meanwhile, I am sitting here on the most uncomfortable chairs waiting.
Sear was unwilling to ship me my order and now says they have no more. So they just cancelled it without calling me or anything and all the say is sorry. When asked they say they just can not offer any more at that price - but they took my order and sent a confirmation e-mail and sent a voice mail

I have just started a few weeks ago with Sears, an employee saw me take prescription pain meds and I said I had a bad back. the person then went on to tell another person in our dept that if management found out i was a drug addict they would fire me. I talked to one of the managers, he just said not to pay attention to the person. the meds I take aren't even a narcotic. The manager I spoke to said that he had already heard about it. and not to worry they weren't going to fire me or anything like that. I did not have to disclose a disability to the employer, but someone else did. I need advise. Anyone?
I would have to agree this company deos not know how to treat its customers or employes I haven't hade a raise in 2 years and our sales where good and yet no raise that a slap in the face to me I'm sorry but when that happens over and over and you work your butt off and don't get shown any kind of appreciation it makes you not wanna work hard anymore why should you if you just keep getting knocked down. I have been working for sears part time. At night..the two people in charge are horrible, they yell and curse at the employees, name calling, like stupid mf, bumb ###...etc.. 3 months and I am ready to quit, before isomEthing bad happend.. The Cheektowaga facility outside of buffalo ny. Night shift.. The conditions are not good here, a very high turn over rate, it needs to be cleaned uup unless sears is saying this is the type of conducttee expect from our pEople in charge..
i have no idea how to send a complaint in so im going thru here im waighting for a check that is from temporary disablity .. i have worked for sears for three years in dec i had done multible jobs and helped were neeeded i had known more departments in the store then any one there at multiple levels i got realy sick one day and then couldn't go to work i tried to go back and was bullied by a maneger and nothing has been done ive called sevral different places about this check that was approved for back pay i called 88 sears when i found out i had a month coming and they said they had the pappers i would recieve on the 31 st 31 st came and went and no check i called 88 sears they said they had no idea what i was talking about called cigma they gave me leave management number which they were easy to talk to and tryed to help i called my work they called the hr rep and then i waited on tuesday the 4 th i called my work agian after waiting scence sat to see if it got processed .. i was told a email just came in . and that my benefits ended on oct 17 i siad i know i havnt been paid for that though so i asked for the person number they took mine and said they would call me no call yet been 24 hours by friday i loose my house if i dont get that check this place has striped me from my famly and now holding back my check to loose my home ., i have to go thru rehabilitation to ever work agian . and thats a long process the diagnoses is bi polor but cause is un necessary stress and abuse at work . ive worked scene i could remember never have i been out of work for my disorder and never have i had problems function they way they treat people is awful my manger in my department even back ed me in a corner and yelled at me and then did it again after i got back from leave another time threatening me i told management they said theyd take care of it and never did
As I can see that these things are not just happening to my daughter and hopefully I can get some answers on how and whom I can address these issues with...
My daughter has been working for sears for a little over two months and within the first two weeks she was being harassed about pushing these credit apps which in this day and time no one is really interested in them or have them already but the Managers are harassing the employees to harass the customers to apply for these credit apps. There have been several times that customers have gotten extremely upset about my daughters persistence which leaves her feeling really bad, not only is she being treated and talked to poorly because she is not getting the credit apps that the customers turn down but she getting a double whammy from the customers getting upset with her about her persistence. The Manager has gone as far as to embarrass her in front of customers about the credit apps yelling at her asking her if she can read and write and then later in the day telling her that its against the law to not ask customers if they would like to apply for these credit apps. My daughter called me this evening extremely upset from work saying she doesn't know what to do because she needs this job to support her son until she can find another one but this harassment is so very stressful for her and she cant take it. She said they called her from the office and asked if she had gotten any credit apps yet and then called back 20 minutes later asking the same thing. This isn't the only problem she having but at this point its the only one Im putting out here right now to see if anyone knows what steps she needs to take to help her situation. Yes quitting is an option but right not shes making a sacrifice by putting up with all of this until she finds another job because she has a son to take care of. By reading the other comments its obvious that this needs to be put to a stop, Sears harasses and discriminates and they get away with it. No wonder there stores are empty. If you can humiliate disrespect and belittle one of your own coworkers in front of customers why would one want to spend any money with you.

I am a former employee of Sears in Nashville Tn. I was at a location that is now closing in Aug.2015
I was there for almost 4 years. This location was attached to a closed mall that has been closed for at
least 4-5 years. Just a few months ago I was accused of theft by taking, by management!
The manager on duty at that time called me into their security office, and then out of nowhere a man, who
supposedly worked for their security division, or was hired to do so, told me to sit down. He then threatened
my life and my family if I did not admit to taking $800.
I regret signing this agreement that I took the money! Sears at this location was over promising customers
mattress deliveries, and then never delivering them or kept the customer waiting for weeks for a mattress!
What am I saying? I did try to avoid a customer from cancelling a big sale because they were very upset,
not receiving their bed. I gave the angry customer a free mattress protector without management approval, and a $20 bill! That is it! Well that was caught on tape and, this Sears location was already having trouble with
many customers walking out the door with Craftsman tools.
So this security investigator showed me on a photo ( not a video ) with the register open, and a $20 cash
right beside the register. The security man said that if I did not admit to taking $800 then he would make
sure my wife and grandchildren would die! Then if I did sign I could just go home!
So out of fear, and stupidity, I signed the agreement without asking for my lawyer! Then he told me to stay seated a moment, and the within 30 minutes the local police arrested me and I was in jail for theft by taking.
A felony since it was over $500. Well now I have a felony on my record, and still fear this guy may have something done to my wife, and my grandkids!
I know I was not smart signing the agreement, and should of just said " I did not take the money, and I am going home!" But the security gent said my family was at risk!
I am thinking about a law suite against Sears, and finding out who this security guy was! He did not greet me with his name at the start!
So I am not sure to just let it go, or file a law suite? The sad part my record has a felony on it, and makes me look like a criminal!
What do you think? This Sears is closing down as I said Aug. 2015. But I can file suite on corporate!

SEARS JUST DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE ANYMORE! JUST THEMESELVES...I WOULD SUE THEM FOR DESTROYING YOUR NAME
We bought a dryer listed at $399 and were told there was a rebate on the delivery. We were also told not to use our sears card because there was a 10% off promotion and that would make our sale go below $399 and not eligible for the delivery rebate. Now they will not honor the rebate because on the back of the form it states you have to finance with your sears card and will not refund the delivery costs if we return it. I called the refund help desk and they said to wait 48 hrs and the rebate would go through. That did not happen and now the rebate is off.
SEARS is horrible. I guess they operate under the K-mart mentality now.
I worked for Sears in appliances from [protected]. If a customer was refused a rebate after following proper procedures and had their salescheck (or I looked it up if they used their Sears credit card), I would perform a sales adjustment on the original sale for the amount of the rebate. No problem. Done. Happy customer. If this happens to you, ask your salesperson to do this. They can.
