I placed an order this morning at 8:00am. I called over my lunch break at noon to see if I could make a change to the order I had placed hours before. I was told that I couldn't make any modifications to my order. Why? I asked. All she could tell me was the order is unmodifiable. I said well then I want to cancel the order and I will just re place it the way I want it online. She said she cannot cancel the order but she will refund my money. What kind of idiotic business plan is that? However she was very misleading by telling me they value there customers and that's why she was doing it. However she couldn't tell me if the person I was sending the package to was still going to receive the package or not. I am beyond confused. I am sending this to a girlfriend for her birthday I want her to receive something from me but now I am unsure if she will or not. I don't want to place another order for fear she will now get two things? What I thought would be a simple phone call to modify an order that isn't supposed to go out for 5 days has turned into a disaster. Thanks for the headache shari's berries!
chocolate covered strawberries, coupon, customer service and false advertising
I once loved shari's berries. My family has used them for years and we really enjoyed them and giving them as gifts. But, shari disappointed me twice now. First, I placed an order a week before my friends birthday and scheduled the delivery for her birthday. It didn't show. So, I contacted shari and they apologized, delivered the berries days late, refunded my shipping charges and sent me strawberries. Still was late.
I received a nice shari's berries christmas mailer that included a $10 coupon for purchases over $29. So, I placed items in my cart on line, the total was $69. Per the instructions on the back of the coupon, the code would have to be obtained by calling [protected] or by visiting, berries.com/joyful. The web address brought me to my cart without a code. So, I called the toll free number and was told they don't give out codes over the phone. I explained to the customer service rep and he kept saying we don't provide codes over the phone. I decided to let shari know and emailed their customer service department. Their response was they don't provide codes on line or over the phone but thanks for the feedback.
My family and friends won't be ordering any longer (Especially since their experiences have been subpar). I just want everyone to know and will share this every where I can. Baaad shari's berries... Baaaad!

I have ordered some products from Shari's Berries and asked them to deliver on a specific date (it was a birthday surprise gift for my aunt) but my order did not arrive.
I contacted them to see what was going on and they said that they had some issues with the delivery. They promised to deliver the next day but that did not happen.
Then I asked for a refund but they said that they cannot give my money back and gave me another delivery date. Nothing again!

I have ordered something as a present for my sister's birthday and paid extra money for the same day delivery. Nothing arrived so I contacted Shari's Berries customer service and asked about my order. They claimed that my order was sent and that it will arrive soon.
Then I decided to contact UPS and they said that they received nothing from Shari's Berries!
When I contacted these scammers again they kept telling me that order was sent. When I asked for a refund they refused and said that it was not possible.

What a terrible place! Ordered some berries and cake for my mother as a birthday surprise gift and everything I received was terrible! Berries were rotten and cake already melted! I was super disappointed! Berries were so terrible that they even had that strange nasty smell. When contacted Shari's Berries they basically called me a liar and said that they stand behind their products. What a joke! When I went online I saw tons of negative reviews about this company! Too bad I did not check on them earlier! Stay clear!

I'm so disappointed in this company right now. I tried to order gourmet chocolate dipped strawberries as well as a box of chocolates. I have used Shari's Berries in the past to give out for corporate gifts at the end of the year, and my company has also encouraged friends to send Shari's Berries as corporate gifts. I ordered some strawberries and a cake for my birthday party. They charged me about $15 for standard shipping which I knew about. But then they charged additional $20 for a ridiculous early morning delivery! Then never delivered it in the morning, my order actually showed up only the next day! When the guests arrived I had no cake and no berries! I had to run to a local store to buy something else. This is absolutely unacceptable! I’ll never order anything again from these unprofessional thieves!

I ordered something from Shari's Berries in the past. I ordered some expensive berries and used my PayPal account. Since that time I receive tons of spam almost every day and I'm so sick of it! I contacted Shari's Berries customer service and asked then to stop sending me messages. I'm a very busy person, I use that email for my business and I have no time for their stupid messages! They never replied, never helped. Yes, I could make another email, but it is impossible, since all my business partner use that email address to contact me. Horrible website!

My boyfriend wanted to make me a surprise on Valentine's day. He ordered some chocolate covered strawberries from Shari's Berries. They did arrive before Valentines day but the strawberries were rotten! It seemed like they were frozen all the time, before they were covered with chocolate. My boyfriend was very disappointed. I don't blame him, he wanted to make me happy and I appreciate that. Well, now I know that this company is a scam and we will never order anything from them again. And I will post negative reviews about them everywhere I can!

I placed two orders for Valentines day, one for my daughter with Shari's Berries and one for my girlfriend with Proflowers. I was told that my daughters berries would arrive Friday. I was told the flowers for my girlfriend would arrive Saturday. On Friday the order never arrived. I called Shari's Berries and was told it would be Saturday. On Saturday it never arrived, called back and was told Sunday. On Sunday no delivery, Monday no delivery and on Tuesday I called and spoke to a Supervisor and was told that I was issued a refund and my item was recalled back. First of all what business recalls back a perishable item? Second of all I spoke to a different rep each day that promised that the item was still going to be delivered. Also each time I called I'm speaking to a rep that barely speaks English, seems incompetent and has no knowledge of the company. Oh the flowers for my girlfriend never arrived as either. I was told that those would be delivered the following Thursday. But at least they will arrive. The worst and most ridiculous experience I've had placing an online order. Great job ruining Valentines Day!

I ordered a cheesecake and berries from Shari's Berries. Things I ordered arrived on Valentine's Day, but berries were rotten! I had no time to deal with it so I just thrown them out. Berries smelled awful! The texture of the berries was off as well as the flavor. Cheesecake was not bad, and was pretty tasty. I never called Shari's Berries because it makes no sense. I checked the reviews and I'm pretty sure they'll never refund me, so I don't want to waste my time arguing with them. I'm very disappointed and I'll never order anything again.
Ordered a small box of cake truffles for Mother’s Day for a dear friend. Package was delivered on Saturday 5/9/15 and advertized as a special for $ 19.99, I even entered a promo code heard on radio. When reviewing my bill, I was shocked to see a total of $ 44.95.
I called to inquire as to this high charge and the operator said it was surcharges per Fedex for the special delivery date.
What a scam! These Truffles aren’t worth it @ $ 5.00/ea. Never again!

I can't believe these people are allowed to run a business! I ordered some roses and berries from Shari's Berries and was charged $40. I went through the whole selection process where it said that standard shipping is free! But then I checked my bank statement and it showed that they charged extra $10 for shipping. I immediately contacted customer service and after explaining myself several times, I was put on hold for 30 minutes! I called again and their rep said that $14.99 charge was applied because the roses and berries were packed separate. Why? Is it so hard to wrap them up in the same box? It is illegal! It is a scam to steal money from people! Avoid this company!

I ordered some strawberries and cherries for $50 in total. Then they applied $30 for the shipping! They separated my order and sent it in two different packages! They want $14 for the strawberries and $16 for cherries. What kind of joke is that? I thought I would give them a second chance after some difficulties we had in the past, but it was a big mistake. Anyways, I'm very disappointed with what I received! My order was not delivered on time and everything was broken and rotten. Tried talking with their rep, and all she said was sorry! It was my wife's birthday, so I went online and ordered some flowers from Shari's Berries. Their site said that there were some strawberries and cherries included. Total of three items. So, I made an order and paid extra $8 delivery charge. Later I noticed that they charged me the standard delivery plus extra was applied to each item. Well, they actually sent every item separately and charged me for all three shopping's! I ordered three products and it cost me over $70! I honestly don't know how they have any customers.
inability to recognize cvc number & terrible customer support
Accomplished the request area, wrote a card, but when it came time to check out, I got a pop up message that my cvc number did not match my credit card. I've been using this card for years, never had a problem. So, called customer service. The ignorance surged.
To make matters worse, 'Becky' their customer service rep., did not have the ability to read me back my phone number. No matter how many times she tried, her random mix up of numbers exemplified very ignorant levels. Realizing I was dealing with the zenith of stupidity, I nicely ended the call.
This is one of many companies offering holiday items. In this case Valentine's Day. This is one company I don't enough time to waste mine on.
Canceled my order because the discount that was promised did not apply to my order 39.00 for strawberries and 30.00 for shipping hell no! I was their customer for many years and have ordered many things. Shari's berries used to be great and their products were always of a high quality and very delicious. But not anymore. Recently I ordered some things and when I received the order I realized that the quality just went downhill. Chocolate was delivered on time but only because I ordered in advance. Package was damaged and wet, and the chocolate was melted. The coating of the chocolate was sweating and melting and was cracked. The quality and taste of the strawberries was absolutely horrible. They were rotten and had a very strong chemical taste. I contacted their customer support but they refused to give me back my money. I'll never order anything from this company again!
embarrassing situation
I purchased chocolate cookies and a cake for my wife's birthday. I paid extra money for safe and fast delivery. The tracking info showed they shipped out my package 4 days before they were to be delivered. And all products were melted! The whole top of the cake melted and was smashed. I contacted them and they promised to send me another cake for free. And they also did refund my money. I thought it was just a mistake and was not so angry anymore. Yesterday my wife received her cake and cookies. Cookies were fine, but the cake was smashed again. I will never use this company again! This whole situation was very embarrassing and they ruined my surprise! There are much better companies!

These berries come from the farm in crates, with dirt and anything else that may have contaminated them (animal fecal matter, pesticides, etc...) and are dipped in chocolate without washing them.
Despite worries from the company for years about the negative health effects and consumer sentiment around not washing our strawberries before dipping them in chocolate, nothing has been done to resolve this issue.
The company ships millions of these strawberries per year, especially now during the upcoming christmas holiday, valentines day holiday and mother's day holiday. The berries arrive directly from the farm, are sorted for size in machinery and directly sent to be dipped in chocolate (actually it's not even real chocolate, but a chocolate like substance). There is actual dirty and grime accumulation all over the berry sorting equipment because of how dirty the berries are.
The executives at the company recognized this as a potential issue and year after year give it lip service. However, putting in a real system to properly clean the berries or somehow track shipments to a certain lot of berries from a farm would cost money. Currently if a group of customers across the country contracted a food bourne infection from the berries, the company would have no way to resolve the issue or track where the berries originated from.
Don't send your loved ones these berries for the sake of health.

I had the groupon and it gave me the discount on the website www.sharisberries.com. I placed the order and the seller delivered it on time. But when I opened the box, I was shocked and surprised. The strawberries were so small and without chocolate. It was simple berries without promised chocolate and decorations. I was upset, and when I tried to complain, the seller ignored me. Don’t order from them, total fake. You won’t receive the same berries that you see on the website.

Non-delivery. Never showed up. My wife waited all day thinking she was going to receive something (flowers, candy she didn't know exactly what - she does now).
Paid $50 week in advance. They send email in morning saying item has been picked up and is out for delivery. 6 hours later another email says can't deliver claiming the 'winter storms' were just too terrible. I believe this company has been in business over 10 years. They are not aware that valentine's day is in the winter? Maybe it will snow.
Maybe they should take some precautions and make preparations?
