hostile working environment
I am a carhop. I am always getting called names and fussed at for not working when all I do is work. If I'm not stocking, I'm making bags. I keep getting told to do all cleaning chores like wipe down tables, clean windows, etc. I'm the only one that does not get a break. I can go in to work at 9, the other carhop and drive through worker will get a 35 minute break back to back leaving me the only carhop for over an hour, with little to no help from the managers. I ask for a 15 minute break, but there is always some excuse to why I can't. I barely have time to eat without being told to do something. They worry about having one carhop taking orders out when it's anyone but me working. It is a very hostile working environment, and nothing is being resolved.
promotions
I was a regular customer at my local Sonic Drive-In in Whitehouse, TX until recently. I have gone there for three different advertised promotions this summer and have left disappointed each time. The first one was for a frozen drink promotion & I was told the ice maker wasn't working. The second time (I believe it was July) was for a shake promotion (which I took my parents to) & I was told the ice cream machine was broken. Tell me, what is Sonic without shakes & ice cream? The third time was yesterday for a "50 cent corn dogs all day" promotion & I was told they were out of them. I am not normally one to complain but this pattern is not only unacceptable but also borders on being unethical. Please do not send me any more halfhearted apologies & excuses from the local manager/owner.
my daughter not treated fairly
My daughter is a sonic employee that has been there almost 2 years started off on the fountain &'d now she a manager in training well therewas a incident where a customer was complaining about the price of there food not only did she explain why the food was pricy she also consulted with the co manager to better explain the prices to them and the end result was she was rude and didn't need her job keep in mind this is her first complaint since she has been at sonic but not only did they take her shirt she is no longer able to carhop answer the boxes or work the fountain there has been similar incidents in the past with other employees but not all of them received the same punishment
sexual harassment
To whom it may concern,
I would like to make you aware of an incident that occurred on Wednesday August 17th, 2016 which encountered my daughter Brittany Goldy and a manager Zairre. She told me he had made vulgar comments toward her. She was counting her drawer Wednesday morning and Zairre was standing behind her recording on his phone and said "damn she's got a nice ### for only sixteen" she replied "excuse me" and his response "oh don't worry I'll delete it." My daughter then making Waqas a manager aware of the incident, Waqas then making the two general managers Kristie and Joshua also aware of the incident.
Sincerely, Mr. and Mrs Goldy
Buns change
I have been going to the Sonic in Savage, Mn. since it opened a few years ago. I've been to this Sonic many times. We had waited impatiently for Sonic to come to MN. We had moved here in 2001. I am 61 years old and grew up with Sonic in Norman, Ok. When we were teenagers we spent every Friday and Saturday night cruising Sonic on Lindsey St.. It was a favorite place to take my grandmother who loved the fish sandwich, for me it was almost always a #2 cheeseburger. I won't be going back to THIS Sonic or possibly any other. I realize that menu changes have to be made over time but the food should still be good. What happened to your buns? Dense, chewy, flavorless, definitely NOT suited for a hamburger. The first one I thought was a fluke but the second one was an absolute. I had to take off one side of the bun to eat the thing and it wasn't worth it. You've lost us for good but thanks for the memories. If this change is only to this particular location perhaps you could suggest a return to tradition. If not, then please let me know so I can make the drive to St Paul. I appreciate your time and attention.
Agree 100%. Will go there for tots but no burgers. So sad.
I feel the same way about the buns, what have they done to the buns. I loved sonic burgers, but no longer visit because of this fact they have no taste just bland. I do not visit sonic anymore. I hate to say it but why do they put everything on hot dog buns. They come out with a steak sandwich which is served on hot dog bun give me a break. Cut back on commercials and bring back the good buns. Tennessee
I could not agree more about the new soggy hamburger buns. I finally figured it out. They use to roast the buns. You could see the cook marks on the inside of the buns and lightly toasted tops. It's probably the same buns but just no longer toasted and I hate there hamburgers now. The new owners ruined there legendary burger what a dumb thing to do. I won't be getting the burger anymore.
The wife and I used to visit the local Sonic for burgers at least once a week. When they changed to that sorry excuse for a bun we quit going. Sonic just flat out RUINED their burgers.
I agree with the above comments. Since the new folks took over and they changed the hamburger bun from soft and good to just BAD ! Probably because some Sonic bean counter decided they could save a couple of cents by using a cheaper supplier. The No. 2 is just not the same goodness as the old burger. As a result Sonic is only visited rarely as opposed to what used to be twice weekly visits.
a year later & this is still so relevant. it truly makes me sad because I used to think sonic had the best steak burgers. it’s just all gone downhill. BRING BACK THE TASTY BUNS!
I used to average 2 Super Sonic Jalapeno cheeseburgers a week for 20+ years.
But somebody at Sonic headquarters changed the bun to a sandpaper bread that is void of taste and uncomfortable to the palate.
Why would somebody do this to such an iconic mainstay of hamburger culture?
I eventually found a replacement for my fast food staple. But I do miss peeling back the foiled paper of my youth.
I can’t help but thinking that somebody was trying to save a nickel and lost generation of loyal customers. Dang shame.

I responded to an advertisement on Facebook, for four free Super SONIC Bacon Double Cheeseburgers. First, I had to answer several questions and once I did, I was told that I won these burgers but before I could claim them, I had to post Sonic advertisement on my Facebook wall, then send message to 15 of my Facebook friends, with this free offer attached to that message. After doing all this, I clicked the "submit" button on page that this Sonic offer was being made, only to get the message that I did not complete the requirements, i.e. that I did not send message to 15 friends. I did and I have a screenshot showing that I did. I also took a screenshot of this Sonic offer . I don't know if this will be of help but here is the link that states that Sonic is providing this offer and how to get it: http://sonicdrivein-com-k929u822e960.freeey.com/sonic/?W140d756M494 You will find that I have attached both screenshots. The 2nd picture shows my Facebook Message section, showing message sent to 2 listed names plus 13 other people, equaling the 15 that I was required to send the Sonic message to.

rude services
Dear Sonic Representative,
My mother, my son, and I went to sonic June 20, 2016. When we were placing our order, the lady that took our order was rushing us. My mother asked for a kids meal first, and the lady ask is that all. Then we went on with the order but throughout the whole thing the lady that took our order ask after everything that was said is that all. Although we got our food and it was good, the lady that took our order should have been more patient with us. On the receipt it has the name Desserae in it I assume that this was the lady that took our order.
Thank you,
Sybil Kirk
I don't know why y'all are all treating me like I was the one that was wrong. My mother was the one ordering, and she wasn't rude to the lady, and if it were me being rude to someone, my mom would have reached across and slapped my face. I can't help if she had a bad day or something, when you're at work you shouldn't take what you're feeling out on that customer they didn't do anything to you. And if it was one of them don't take it out on the rest of us. I get in bad moods too but I don't take it out on people I meet, do you?
I am so sorry I defended anyone, but this is a complaints board. And the lady was rude she kept interrupting my mother while she was trying to place her order. She could have waited until after my mother was done before asking "is that all." Or at least halfway done. And I don't find anything nasty about my post. And just because she works for minimum wage does not give her the right to be rude to her customers. I know a lot of people that work for minimum wage, and they don't have bad attitudes toward them. So what gives her the right because she works at Sonic I'm sorry but if you're rude to me I can be as rude back. And I didn't go to the manager because my mother had to go to work and unlike some people, I am not prevailed to have a way to go whenever I want.
Sometimes people react to you by the way you treat them. If you start out rude you will likely get rude back.
Seriously? This is your complaint? Please eat at home from now on.
my issue has not been resolved
Unfortunately I down loaded the app to my phone & stored my credit card information, b I g mistake! Was browsing through the app & literally barely touched the gift card for $25 displayed at the top! Instantly it charged my card with out ever asking to confirm or anything! I called the customer service line the representative acted unconcerned & basically told me someone would call in a couple days & that she couldn't do anything! Scam is what I call that! They are there but can't do anything?!?! Could take up to 4 days to refund me but literally took 1 second to charge me! Do not download this app! H u g e mistake!
You need to go into your app settings and disable ONE CLICK PURCHASING. You enabled it during the app set up (those 3 or four screens you click through) when you set up the app with your card. You bought a gift card.
I am a sonic employee
I work for sonic I have for 6yrs. I can't even understand how the location is still open no employees wear gloves, they drink and smoke weed while on the click, they leave for hours and stay clocked in. Employees have sex with the boss and get special privilegeds I can not continue working at a nasty play . they clean dishes in stuff that's used to mop the floor never clean ice cream machine. Its just nasty I feel bad for people eating this food not knowing what their actually eating after. One of the manager locked doors and act if no one was working when the audit person came to door.

I go through this drive-in often and the drive-thru lady is usually rude but this day it was beyond my limit. She didn't give me a receipt and when I asked for it, she said that they couldn't--ok, fine. She hands me my drinks and there's a strand of hair on the top; I tell her about it and she rolled her eyes and closed the window in my face. She eventually fixed me a new drink but the way she handled it very unprofessional and disgustingly rude. I won't be going back there again, I'll just get my chicken strips from the Popeye's next door from now on.
waited 48 minutes and never was waited on
I pulled in at 2:33 pm to place a large order after 10 minutes I pushed the button again still no one answered so I thought the button was broke so I moved to another spot pushed the button again waited 10 more minutes still nothing pushed again still nothing so finally left after 48 minutes that was just to much. My order was going to be 3 wakey packs, 4 no. 1s combo and a footlong chili cheese combo. Well needless whataburger got my business. Even though my great grandbabies were mad at me because all they like are your wakey packs. I would never have waited that long had it not been for them. This was on may, 11, 2016 at 1307 grand ave. Gainesville tx. As far as I am concerned I will never go back there. Futher more I was watching people pull in after me and they were getting their food orders. Thank you ruth jones

On thursday may 5th around 12:30pm a co-work and i arived at the sonic drive in restaurant together and i placed my order and then i explained to the employee that my co-worker was going to place her order next on a different ticket. The sonic employee insisted that we both put our orders together but we did not want to pay on the same ticket. The employee then said my co-worker has to wait. So we did, after waiting for approximitly 8 min. And seeing him take drive up and drive thru oderders we felt very dissatisfied and left. The employee then ran outside and yelled why are we leaving, i explained why. He then explained that he had to take other orders of people showing up, i explained to him that both my co-worker and i arrived together and before the other people what he was taking food orders from. He then said not to ever show up again, i was shocked by his behavior and asked for his name and that i would report it to corprate office, he said his name was jeff and he's the gm there at sonic drive in in the city of delano california.
customer service
I went to the sonic at 14617 NE 23rd Streer in Choctaw, OK during happy hour and placed an order for 5 drinks throughout the drive thru. I repeated my order 3 times because the person taking the order kept getting it wrong and finally it was repeated back to me correct. I pulled up to the window and waited, when I was about to pay, I noticed letters on the cups. I asked the employee what they meant, she said blackberry and raspberry (BR) and the other drinks I'm not sure if they were correct or not. I was told to pull into stall number 14 and she would fix them and get them brought out to me shortly. I pulled into stall number 23 because there was no #14 on that side and the ones next to the patio area was full and #23 was the first one available. I waited about 25 minutes and was getting frustrated, I pushed the red button and asked if they forget about my order that I placed through the drive thru and was told she didn't realize that I was on #14 stall, I told her I wasn't at that one that I was on #23 stall. I frequent that sonic a lot and they know that I'm a regular customer there. I saw a female come out with the drinks and go right back inside. I waited again for another 10 - 15 minutes and finally a male employee brought my drinks. He told me the pice and I paid him and commenter to him that I shouldn't have to pay because of the time it took to get my order. He was very polite and courteous as I was explaining the situation and said "I'm sorry about that ma'am!". When I got home a few minutes later, I was unloading the drinks from the drink carrier and noticed at the bottom of the carrier, "HAVE A SUPER SONIC DAY'" was written by an employee there. I DO NOT appreciate the sarcastic comment in no way, shape or form. The comment was unnecessary and not called for by any means. I was not disrespectful to any of the employees at any time. I have attached photos of the drink carrier with the sarcastic comments written on it.
I would appreciate any assistance that you can give on this matter. This kind of customer service is unacceptable in my opinion. I can be contacted at the following email [protected]@aol.com.
Photos attached.
I went to Sonic in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana on October 18th at 8:25 pm. I waited and waited, after she took the order of the second car, I drove up to the window and asked if the speaker was working. Her response was we have all kinds of people working in here, I waited because I wanted a crab burger, she never apologize . One disappointed customer.

unethical pricing
At the Sonic in Camden, Arkansas when you order a slush or shake you are charged an additional charge for the flavor. I don't mean an extra flavor but if I order a cherry slush I will be charged 25 cents for the cherry flavor. I have no idea if you order a slush without a flavor what you would get? The same scenario applies to their shakes also. If they are going to charge for flavors they need to post it in their total price not as a hidden cost that they try to sneak on the ticket thinking the public is too stupid to catch on. I purchased a cherry slush today and was charged the additional 25 cents, just think how much money they are stealing from their customers, shame on you Sonic!

food
We wen to Sonic in Lexington, Ne on April 2 at 11:30am We ordered a foot long and fries and a number 2 with onion rings and coke. This is the first time the have had onion rings when we visited. We got the order and there were no fries, the onion rings were burnt and the coke had no carbonation. It took another 10 minutes to get the fries. I will never waste my money here again. The food sucks.
Sonic in Cedar Hill Texas sucks. There are a lot of teenagers employed. The lastvfeevtimes I went my order was wrong. The drive thru person speak so fast, you don't have an opportunity to complete your order. The most recent visit I ordered a buger bread was all torn up look a mess. I'm done with sonic, finish, will not go back
SONIC on the southside of Paducah Ky is the worse food ever .The new sonic burgers are awful! Bad move to change them corporate bring the old sonic burgers back the new ones are awful. We will be former customers until they do bring them back
the general manager and his supervisors!
Yesterday at about 5:10 pm I went to clock out from my shift and one of the managers stated " you must wait to clock out until someone tells you, I have to make sure you stocked up you station" I replied " OK! I'll wait but I always stock my station.” she said " well you didn't yesterday!" I stated that I had been off for the past two days so she clearly had me confused! She continued to go back n forth about how sure she was that it was me. I said okay well when I come in here at 8 am and have to stock up everything then whose wrong? She caught an attitude and stated don't expect many more hours and asked me to leave, I left. Today at about 9 am I was called and terminated by the general manager who is also her husband. I am only complaining because I made sure I came to work everyday! And completed my job to its full extent and I feel I was only let go because of our disagreement. Its plenty of children who work here who do not do what they are supposed to making my job 10x harder when opening the store. Trying to car hop, set up stations, prep and take orders in the morning is a lot to fall all on one person. I just feel like my side of the story was not heard and they get away with a lot of unfair behavior because they are in charge together. Also my hours had already been cut after my last check because he stated my check was too big and looked like a managers check. His wife will be scheduled to car hop and still receive her manager pay at the same time and keeps her tips to me this too is unfair to the young car hops who only make 3.25 an hour already. I refuse to give any sonic my business anymore because of this here.
propaganda on prices
I have noticed in the past when running special the prices increase at my local Sonic. I first noticed this with the two for 9.99 each advertised item had cheese but there would be an additional 50 cents for cheese on each item added to cost. I didn't get a chance to address it once making notice and misplacing the receipt. However, Tuesday noticed it again...

I went to Sonics on North Dirksen Parkway in Springfield, IL while passing through on a road trip. My order was wrong and when I tried talk them through the pull up station the manager began repeat, "what was that…what was that!" So I walked up to the door where they worked and as soon as a short black guy opened the door a swift of weed smell hit me. I...

What a joke and disappointment. The drive through was busy so we pulled into a stall and waited 8 minutes and never heard from anyone; decided to try the drive-through and took several minutes for someone to answer the drive-through box. Gave our order and repeated it at least twice because the young man couldn't get it. We went to the window and there wa...
