Warning! If you are planning on purchasing a Highlander think again! We purchased a 2019 model and it it's NOT built tough or strong enough to carry the total weight capacity its specified for (1600 lbs.)
When I brought it to service Yesterday I had it loaded it with only 900 pounds to show them the whole back end of the SUV was tilted all the way down barely touching the tires. I explained to them when I drove it on the freeway into a pot hole I felt the whole back end bounced and landed on the rear tires as a result I had a flat tire. I was so scared for my life it felt so unsafe and unstable. Pete the service manager told me everything is normal and is within the weight limit. How can he say that and lie in my face when they weigh it at 920 pounds? The vehicle is specified to carry 1, 600lbs there was only 920 pounds in the vehicle and it still failed the test! I am posting this post to make sure no one get suckered into purchasing a vehicle at this dealership!
car not receiver
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from your company from January until today. There are no responses or any confirmation that I receive to make me calm pertaining the status of my ordered car.
For your information, I was booked my car (Green Rush) from December 2018 with no ( Booking no B607956) . I am waiting until month of February - deposit already given 10% as per request. Unfortunately the arrived car was the tinted car that I absolutely not ordered before. I was forced to pay and bear the cost worth RM 2100.00 while I actually should receive my car(with FULL SPAC TOYOTA TINTIED AS THE PROMISE OF YOUR SALEMAN MR ONG TOYOTA HIEWA TOYOTA GALLERY MELAKA...! ) at the end of February as promised.
Your sales representative MR ONG did not help much in backing me up to fight for my rights. HE ask me to follow up with HQ by myself. I called HQ so many times. But there still no clear due date/ explanation.
I am most annoyed that I wasted a lot of time to call and follow up with Toyota Malacca and HQ about my ordered car. The questioned is when it can be arrive here? I am absolutely not agree to bear tinted cost worth RM 2100.00. My impression of your company has been tarnished, and I am now concerned about how my booking fees and 10% down payment that I've drawn before? Is it useless to you?
I trust this is not the way Toyota wishes to conduct business with valued customers—I have been trust with Toyota based on customers review. Thus, don't let me down a negative vibes. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and please help me to solve this. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Did the salesman give to you an official receipt for the 10% Deposit?
If No, please call to Toyota Malaysia HQ at [protected] to make an official complaint.
If Yes, you are legally entitled to get back the 10% Deposit.
If the Salesman not willing to give or try to buy time, DO NOT deal with him anymore and call directly to Toyota Malaysia HQ immediately!
poor construction after warranty
In April of 2014 I purchased a brand new toyota Rav4. I have owned many Toyota over the years, my husband and son both currently drive one, but this was my first ever brand new Toyota I loved it. If anybody asked, I told them how great it was. I went in for all required check ups during that first 4 years. Last may (1 month after the warranty expired, I noticed a hole in the carpet near the gas pedal where my foot rests when driving. That was the first issue.
In November my radio suddenly stopped working.(keeps trying to reboot) Back to the shop. They kept it all afternnon and told me it couldn't be fixed, I will need to replace it. Two weeks ago we had a big storm and we're without power for 8 days. The first day I sat with the car running to charge my phone. It didn't seem to be charging very fast. The next day I couldn't get the USB plug to work at all. And I actually cried in frustration.
How could a car that I had loved so much, completely start falling apart the year that the warranty expired?
The current "rebooting" radio is a big distraction while driving- especially at night- never know when or how often it will happen, and I feel it's a safety issue. I can buy a cheap adapter and use the cigarette light to charge things until it decides to quit too. And I have accepted the hole in the carpet.
I do want you to know that I am unhappy and I will honestly answer when people ask about the car..I retired last year so I need to wait another year before I purchase a new vehicle, but it won't be a Toyota.
Toyota etios liva gd engine low
Hi Team,
I am Sunil Pipal from Haryana (India) and using Toyota Etios Liva GD (Diesel Version) since June 2014.
Where I am facing manufacturing defect where engine oil reached on red mark every time before 10000 Km.
Every time I am raising the concern in every service and getting revert that we have checked our oil parameters and we have not observed any issue. So as per them I have taken extended warranty with cost tentative 18000 Indian rupees.
Almost every 5000 Km I am visiting Toyota workshop and every time they are saying we have no issue observed in Engine. My CAR is in workshop since 24th Feb 2019 and more than 20 days now still I am not getting proper update and what would be the next step.
Even I have called on Toll free number to log my concern under TCM0319073053 and no positive revert from their side too.
Most Important thing is I am doing Work from Home since my car is in Workshop.
So need your help to get this fixed high priority.
Regards
Sunil Pippal

maintenance of rv4 pdf filter sensor. licence 0730jkl
Good morning
I left my car on the authorized Toyota service due to dpf filter alarm lighted up.
The workshop lasted 5 days to detect the failure.
Finally, they told me the problem was the sensor. They offered initially 2 days to receive the spare part after I agreed upon the budget. Afterward, they changed the car for 9/3 and then for 23/3. Not an option for a courtesy car and a renting car with some sort of discount. I was told my car was not in a guarantee. I used my car every day to go to work and I have not meant to afford a 2dn car. I am very upset because I will not be without my car for more than a month due to the fact there is not a spare part in EU (unbelievable with a new version car). I Have always opted for a Toyota car due to the reliability and outstanding service (1 Corolla and 2 Camry). For sure, I will not consider Toyota as my preferred choice for the future. Honestly, I felt disappointed and frustrated. My economical loss approximately 2000 euros (renting car and repair)
parts
I have not received any update regarding the parts that should have been ordered to fix my damaged Toyota "Rush" since January 8, 2019. I have fully paid my participation fee and have submitted all the necessary requirements. And have already received the approval of my insurance company to proceed with the repair of my car. However, up until now no update has been provided to me.
scion xb peeling off paint
On 6/14/15, I brought Scion XB (white paint) with 30k mileages and extended warranty (to 2020). No problem till a week ago. An unexpected bad thing happened in my car - The paint started peeling off, half of the paint on the top of the car already gone. Peeling just keeps going to other parts of the car. (1) I went to auto body shop, suggested me to contact Toyota cooperation and file a "Factory Defect complaint". (2) The cooperation (1800.331.4331) Customer Service Heks told me to take car to the dealer to confirm the defect for repairing. (3) The dealer won't take the responsibility. I brought their extended warranty (to 2020), dealer said, it doesn't cover the paint problem. (4) I did research on the Web, found this is a common problems in Scion white paint. A lot of complaints/fights with Toyota. (5) I am frustrate/mad to spend so much of time to fight the battle with big Toyota, Toyota just don't take any responsibility?, Can any one tell me how to go from here?
I just read on a cars guide review that Toyota paint work is not the best quality regarding clear coat peeling off as that is what’s happened to my land cruiser and another persons rav4. Given the premium price for lamdcruisers especially, one would expect Toyota have only the best practices. Perhaps going like everyone else in the world, greedy, willing to sacrifice quality for bigger profit margins. Regarding the extended warranty, I spent almost $1000 for a three year one, tool to my mechanic and said it wasn’t worth the paper it was written on! Dishonest car salesman at it again, can’t imagine where they get that reputation from! It won’t let me a add photos but it’s a 2018 post on car sales answering a Rav4 paint work query if you want to read yourself. Sorry to hear that’s happened to you and I hope Toyota come to the party!
westchester toyota service
I brought in a Toyota Corolla for service with the knowledge that I needed a fuse changed or possibly the main fuse changed. I was charged for five hours of labor for a job that would take no more than 1 to 2 hours. When I arrive to retrieve the car the individual was in charge of the bill and I discussed the overcharge. She told me I had did this to...

I have a Toyota corolla 2016 which is a danger to drive. I have noticed my view is off as the slope of the hood impairs vision of objects near and below where you are driving. It has caused me to not be able to make good visual decisions. It is a danger.
The blind spot in the passenger side of the car is very dangerous. The material from the back window to the rear window leaves no view.
I would like my recall car to be reimbursed to me in full for what I have paid and what is still owed. Please do not make me gather a petition recall.
Sincerely,
Nancy l. Carter

rav4 2011
We have a 2011 Toyota Rav4 and the passanger's floor is wet from the rain and it's dripping straight down underneath the dash, from the left of the glovebox. I went on line and discovered just about everyone who has this model of car has the same problem. There has been no recall from Toyota, and they will not fix it for free. It's a minimum of over $100 in a lot of cases. Some owners calim the overflow tube was clogged by spider webs. Whatever the reason Toyota should fix it or compensate you something to get it fixed.

It is still there and the engine parts are not together in the trunk.
The battery is also disconnected. Know one has helped me open the locked car.
So that I can retrieve my belongings such as a walking cane. I need your professional assistance.
Can someone please help our family ?

2012 scion xb
The paint (white) is peeling on the roof and bumper. I talked to my dealer and they say it's out of warranty. I am the second owner and the car has less than 60000 miles. I have found many Scion owners with the same issue. There was no damage or chip in the paint until one day I came out to find a quarter size flake of white paint missing. It quickly became larger. I know this is a common Scion problem and Toyota should take responsibility.
bad battery
Dear Toyota,
I had constant problems with the battery of my Toyota Avalon-2015 I've already invited 5 times CAA Service (4 times just this month) because I couldn't start my car. The mileage is just 25000 km. A few days ago I had to replace this battery (paid $287.02) because it was absolutely dead. I'm sure the battery for this luxury car should last much longer. The worst is that when I emailed to Toyota and asked to help me with checking the battery, I've got a reply from Kim Carter (Customer Assistance Centre, Toyota Canada Inc.) with advice to pay for diagnostic time + labor. This "advice" I'll always remember when the time will come to buy a new car.
2018 4runner limited
The right front corner panel of my 2018 4 runner keeps slipping down, leaving a larger than normal "gap" where it meets the body piece to which it connects. I took my car to toyota of gastonia (where I purchased the vehicle) and I spoke with 2 gentlemen from the body shop. The body shop estimator (jerry denton) told me that this was a frequent complaint of 2018 4 runner owners. I asked how this could be fixed and he stated that he only way to "fix" it was to glue the corner panel to the other body piece.
It is very upsetting that a vehicle I paid $40, 000 + for has to be "glued" back together.
I am wanting to know if this is a common problem/complaint of 2018 4runner owners and how does toyota plan to address the problem?
I am starting with toyota motor coorporation hoping to get a resolution before I go "public" with my complaint (social media/television investigative reporting/consumer reporting).
Please let me know how this "issue" with my 2018 4 runner can be addressed/handled.
Thank you for your time and assistance,
Michele thornton
2012 scion xb
Our 2012 scion xb's paint is peeling off like. an orange peel, non stop. I'm worry it will get rust. I contacted Toyota customer service 1800 331 4331, they said I was past the 3 year warranty and Toyota was not going to assist us, I told them this was not normal wear and tear. She said there was nothing that they could do after warranty expired. That it is the owners responsibility to maintain and repair. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or someone above her, she said there was no one above her, that Toyota uses them to explain to us their policy. There was nothing that could be done.
2012 scion blizzard paint falling off in sheets
The paint on my scion is falling off in big sheets all over the car. This is crazy. The problem is not due to neglect on my part. Obviously a Toyota issue. Had Toyota look at it and manager said it looked like a bad primer but he could not put it in writing. They quoted me over $3000. To repaint the car. This is crazy. My car is in need of help. I paid to much, for this to happen. Help

Read full review of Toyota94 toyota pickup with frame rot
I have a 94 Toyota pickup, that has bad frame rot at spring hangers and behind gas tank. The same problem they had with 95 and up. The recall should have been earlier than 95. Us die hard Toyota owners with 94 or earlier just got a screening. I love my truck. Just not happy at all with poor metal that was used. Guess we are out of luck when it comes to the many 94 models that have same issues as 95 and up. I have lost all faith in Toyota, and am very disappointed. This frame issue has really changed my outlook on Toyota. Would I recommend buying a Toyota? NO. They only fix problems with 95 and up, when the problem starts pre 95.shame disabled man cant drive the truck that he loved because of typical Toyota frame rot.

2018 tundra
I would like to start by saying that all the vehicles my family owns are Toyota, presently 3. I purchased a new Tundra in 2011 and totally love that truck it currently has 230.000 miles on it. I recently bought a new 2018 Tundra and was greatly disappointed at the changes that were made to the interior of the truck! My 2011 is so user friendly, with all the cubby holes & storage pockets none of which are in the 2018. The console is the worst design I've ever seen! The third cup holder is useless and could only hold a 6oz. cup because of the dash overhang. Then the usb & acc. ports are under the dash! You practically have to stand on your head to plug anything into these ports! The usb cable runs on top of anything that's in the 3rd cup holder! My biggest complaint is the uncomfortable seats! I suffer from a bad tailbone, and cannot ride in the seat for over 75 miles before the tailbone is sore causing me to have to get out of the seat. I own 3 motorcycles and have all of the seats reupholstered with a tailbone relief channel to allow me comfort on long rides. I have never experienced this problem in any other truck! I can assume that the engineer @ Toyota don't actually spend any time in the Tundra!
