delivery
I've been letting UPS slide and have not been complaining but today broke the camels back. I payed for express shipping so I know exactly approx time my package would arrive.
Well today the driver did not ring my door bell. I thought I was lucky bc I heard the truck pull-up but by the time I got to the door they were pulling off. I literally chased him. I know he seen me but kept going.
Driver's GIVE PPL TIME TO GET TO THE DOOR! Another time irked my soul was when a driver claimed he came and my address was a business that was closed. How the *** Then the crazy part was I was outside doing yard work. They made the driver come back.
Another time was I was opening the door to leave and they was a driver leaving packages no knock or didn't ring the door bell. I know they have a lot of packages to deliver but y'all have to do better. You're already here just knock or ring door bell and give us time to come to the door. Come on UPS I know you're a billion dollar business but have some respect for your customers.
We are the reason you are. Maybe you need to hire more drivers so they won't be so swamped with packages.
delivery
Well it's official "I am done with UPS" if a company I'm ordering from can't use FedEx or USPS they will not get my order . For sometime people in my area have had a problem with we are told is ONE driver who likes to leave your stuff at end of driveway or at the mailbox . Stuff like a envelope with a $15000 check left sitting on the fence post, O-joy on that one . Have been told he's moved from California UPS or something and with union crap not much can be done EXCEPT COMPLAIN . Have heard the # excuses like tree limbs or to wet . I have drove a semi for 30 years and at times taken my truck home, if this guy can't get that little van around he doesn't need to be driving a moped . There is plenty of room on my driveway to get up and nothing to worry about scratching the van . It's sad one driver can cause all the other drivers to look bad, I have been there myself but if UPS will not do anything about it I am done . Granted I know my deliveries won't make or brake UPS but I am tired of the poor service . We can drive around in our area and tell that this driver is working that day cause we will see lots of packages sitting at end of driveways . I am sure 99% of the other drivers try and take pride in there work but we don't have this problem with FedEx or USSP . IF this is just one driver put him somewere else or send his sorry but back were he came from . dropping off shipping label
a UPC person was scheduled to come by the house to bring a label and take the package with him. He showed up just a bit ago today, but instead of knocking on the door, he placed the label under a planter outside. Please see the video. Now I need to request another pickup. Not only is this inconvenient but also a waste off time and money for UPS. Please advise.
ups canada holding my package hostage.
Customer service is completely scripted.
I missed an attempted delivery and didn't have time to pick up the package until a week later (they close stupidly early on Saturdays), so at the 7 day mark - thinking I still had that day to pick up the package, I checked the tracking to see which drop off centre it was in.
Today, two weeks now since I received my "Sorry we missed you" note, I am calling yet again to find out where it is.
The second to fourth phone calls all had the same script.
"I'm so sorry about this. I have submitted a corrected form and rest assured someone WILL call you by 7pm today. I promise."
I've heard this not once, or twice, but three times now. Followed by, "No, this time they will call. I've made sure of it"...ok... I say, why have I heard this everytime I've called to enquire and why has no one called me? "Well I promise they will call by 7pm tonight"...right.
Wanna bet $1000 they won't call me tonight by 7pm?
Why does every submission need to be corrected? Why can't I just go pick up my damn package, or why can't they tell UPS here to keep my package at a specific place?
I asked the lady on the phone how many more times I had to hear this, and told her if I have to call the next day I will be raising hell. It's my package, it belongs to ME. I am trying to make the delivery guys' jobs easier by picking the damn thing up myself BUT UPS IS A BUNCH OF [censored]S WHO WILL NOT GIVE ME MY EFFING PACKAGE.
The scripted service is ridiculous. It’s 2018! I just went through their scripted ruaround today and I seriously can’t understand how these people still have jobs. I guess if you make enough money you don’t give a flying f what your call center is doing?
truck parked blocking driveway.
At 1:15pm on Wed, Oct 3 at 12400 Vulcan Way, Richmond, one of your drivers parked their truck blocking access to the driveway at this location. He/she could have easily pulled into the driveway and out of the way. He/she could have parked in the bus zone a few feet west of the driveway. But to block a driveway to a business is just plain selfish with no regard to other people needing to access to that business. Even if the driver has a 'schedule' to keep, NO excuse to be selfish.
unsafe driver
Incident occurred @ providence towers 5001 spring valley road dallas, texas 75244 truck # 671777 pulled down a two lane drive (one lane going each way, very narrow attempting to go into the under ground parking lot of this office building at approximately 11:45 a.M. Read full review of UPSstore
I will no longer use UPS stores voluntarily as I have had nothing but bad experiences with too many locations. These stores are operated by independent owners and often are neglected of proper up keep.
Case in point would be the lack of employees to help with customers. Another would be the run down computers that are there. Further still is the fact they make you pay $3.00 to self print a pre-paid label that will be sent by UPS.(FedEx prints these free of charge). And this one location had no internet and made me drive to a UPS in a Double Tree hotel lobby( which required parking validation ) in which the UPS in that lobby charged a surcharge even with a prepaid label.
Finally, the stores are simply run down and gross period. The only reason I would use UPS is if I were forced to because I was being shipped something without a choice and even still I might avoid buying products from companies that use UPS in the future. I simply hate UPS.
they forgot my package in new jersey
They scheduled delivery of a television on Friday the 28th. I waited and waited and finally checked the status and it had been changed to "Delayed". I was hoping it would be delivered maybe on Saturday yet still says "Delayed" so I phoned UPS. I am told the package was forgotten in New Jersey and still sits there. It is not even on its way here more than 24 hours later. I could have driven to New Jersey and picked it up in a couple hours yet I am told it is on a truck someplace and they don't have access to it. They are not even sure where it is and will reschedule delivery sometime Monday "hopefully". Dealing with an expensive television I have to be here to receive it so it doesn't get destroyed or stolen sitting outside. So far two of my days have been ruined waiting for this item.. My time is just as valuable as yours.. I find this unacceptable that a package that is just a few hours from my home is going to take several days to get here.. the postal service isn't this inept and incompetent.
release my package to wrong person and refuse investigate
I am not sure exactly where would be the most appropriate place to file my complaint. I googled and found this website. Hope I can get some help from here.
I send my laptop to be fixed by ASUS repair center in Ontario. ASUS have it fixed and sent back to me via UPS Canada.
However since ASUS didn't send to the correct address, I contacted UPS to keep my package at their pick up center: 22 Aero Dr NE. When I got there to pick it up, I was told by UPS my laptop has been picked up by someone else with the photo ID. UPS provide me with the signature as showing below and I can prove it's not my signature at all.
UPS won't allow me to file a claim with them and insist the shipper which is ASUS to file an investigation. When I contacted ASUS, they refuse to file the claim and their excuse is UPS has already delivered packaged.
Both parties were trying to get around of this issue and I feel hopeless and wasn't treated fairly by UPS and ASUS. My laptop got lost, nobody want to even take any responsibility. As a consumer, is there any policy in this country can make me feel being protected?
I have the picking up signature provided by UPS. If it's necessary I can provide with my photo ID signature to prove it's not my signature.
Both ASUS and UPS have the record of my conversation with them.
delivery driver
I am a retired Ohio State Trooper. On Monday September 24, 2018 at approximately 9am I witnessed one of your delivery trucks, small basic box truck, driving extremely fast.
I have been an expert in field of estimating speeds through my career, and in this particular incident the driver was definetly exceeding the 35mph zone sign.
Also, he cut in front of me to be the first one at a traffic light because he didn't want to be behind the car he was following. No turn signal used in making this abrupt lane change.
This is surprising to me because the standing joke at our facility was that we never had to waste our radar or laser on any UPS vehicle because they NEVER break any laws and are the best drivers.
Well not today. The plate number on truck was PJA8606. The upper left hand number on back of truck was 861573.
This person was definetly in a hurry and his driving reflected this.
Not safe or professional. Sad. To think UPS reputation driving a marked vehicle like a rolling billboard and giving it a bad image.
Thank you. I did not appreciate being cut off the way I was, especially by a so called professional driver.
M. Lemmon
I look forward to hearing from someone soon regarding this matter.
I feel this person should be accountable for actions, or give the position to someone who will drive safer.
delivery person refused to knock on consumer door
This writer was exiting the apartment building (201 Ravine Avenue, Yonkers, NY) when the UPS delivery person was observed filing a delivery missed slip. This writer asked the delivery person if he wanted to enter the apartment building so as to knock on the persons apartment door. He replied no as he insisted that he did his job. He exited. I encouraged him to at least confirm that the person was at home before he left but he insisted that ringing the doorbell was all he needed to do. I advised that a complaint would be made. He asked if I wanted the supervisors number and then refused to give it to me as he told me to call the 800 number.
three packages that I have used ups shipping have complaints
I wish I could give no star for their service. I have opted UPS for shipping three packages.
1. Lost and not found until today and I missed my very important files in that and they are refusing to give the claim amount.
2. They made me pay twice for shipping and now refuse to refund them back. The package was not delivered on scheduled time and they damaged the bag and everything.
3. My first UPS pick up for UPS is for submitting some insurance documents and the package was not delivered to the location till today(1 month) but the info says delivered.
lost package
I contacted UPS because a package was picked up but never scanned and now the package is missing. I tried to open an investigation but they refused saying i needed to provide a phone number for the recipient, which i had explained many times did not have a phone number listed anywhere, that the only way to contact them was through a "contact us" form on there app and no phone numbers were provided. I suggested they put my phone number, or UPS's phone number since it was there package but the supervisor refused to help me, refused to find a work around for the problem and would not open an investigation for a package that they lost.
driver
Stopped a driver in my small town to get a package while I was at work. I knew that I probably wouldn't be home to sign for it. The driver, who I understand has a time deadline on some deliveries, sat there and started to argue that he doesn't have time. In the time we spent talking about it he could've picked my package. He was very rude and as he drove off he stared at me with a smirk on his face.
delivery
My package was left in the middle of my driveway, instead of my porch out of the hot sun, this was electronics from Dish, easily seen from a busy street . I'm not happy !
At the very least it should have been placed on my porch ( out of the elements) I'm not asking they place it in a special box or some keypad to give access to a storage, but really just leave it on the concrete driveway in the mid day heat, when I wouldn't get home for hours ? Ups has had enough bad publicity from them pitching packages ! But to just leave my valuables out in the elements! Ups you can do better!
ups damaged my mailbox and refuses to replace it!
I am finally at my wits end with UPS. on August 3rd, 2018 at 3:20pm Central time, A UPS driver delivering a package to my house HIT and damaged my mailbox! As you can see, the driver bumps the mailbox then gets out his truck, fixes the mirror, adjusts the mailbox and leaves without notice. We were home at the time. It doesn't look like much from our video since it's not the highest quality surveillance system, but when we went to get the actual mail the 'door' of the mailbox was broken off and just hanging on 'by a thread' so to speak. Also, the mailbox itself became very wobbly and unstable off the post. So he balanced it back in place! By the time we noticed the mailbox and such on August 3rd, the UPS center was closed for the day. We tried calling anyway, but of course no answer. So we attempted to contact UPS on August 4th, a Saturday and were told we would get a callback, which we did. We were told to email a copy of the video to him (the manager) and allow a week for them to 'investigate' and get back to us.
That week came and went with no callback and no follow up. We ended up filing a police report for a hit and run for documentation and from that point, I began contacting UPS on a regular basis through Facebook and Twitter and have been getting nothing but the runaround. I have been told on multiple occasions that they escalated my complaint and I would hear something back on X date (usually 1 or 2 days depending on the rep I spoke to). That day would come and low and behold, no call was ever made to follow up. It's been the same cycle or bull and lies with no results. The only follow up I get is when I press on through social media. Heck, they even blatantly lied on one of the messages saying that someone spoke to us - yet we never even received a call, let alone spoke to someone!
It is absolutely ridiculous that UPS is giving us such a hard time to replace property they damaged when we caught the act on video. All this for a $34 (plus tax) mailbox! We have been asking for this to get replaced since the incident happen and we're about to hit the 2-month mark of no results. I have messaged upon messages on Facebook and Twitter with all their false promises. We just want our mailbox replaced so we can stop using the one they broke that we had to 'jimmy rig' to work properly. I'm guessing this is the normal standard because upon a little research I see UPS has a history of damaging peoples property and not fixing/replacing it. UPS even had the nerve to tell me to file a claim with my insurance company. Why would I file a claim with MY insurance when UPS was the cause of the damage?!
Here's our video evidence of the UPS driver hitting the mailbox and actually going over there and fixing the mailbox to balance on the post (no, the driver did not notify us of the damage, just hit it, tossed the package, and left - yes, the other camera caught the driver litterally dropping the box on the ground, which was heavy, rather than placing it as my normal drivers would do): https://youtu.be/OXa72TTNBOA
So shoppers BEWARE! If you can use any other shipping service, do it. Avoid UPS if it's an option! Before this incident, I had never had any issues with UPS. Now, because of this incident (with a driver who wasn't one of my regulars might I add), I lost total trust in UPS. Not because of what happened, but by how it has been handled. The dishonesty of the customer service and their lack of initiative to repair the damage they did is simply offputting and unethical business behavior on their part. So BEWARE OF UPS & THE WAY THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS because from what I'm seeing, they honestly don't care.
See all the photo evidence of the damage and chat conversations with UPS in my blog post here: http://bit.ly/2Nq9GWl
delivery
I had a freight shipment scheduled for delivery on a Friday. I was left a message on the answering machine that due to certain issues the delivery was rescheduled for Monday...OK it happens. I took the day off from work so as to be present for the delivery. NO DELIVERY. On Tuesday morning checking with UPS showed that the shipment was not scheduled at all for delivery! It was in LIMB). I had not received any calls or E mails. After calls to "Jay" and "Lebron" who said they were going to arrange the delivery and inform me. Nothing happened. After call t0 "Amber" who transferred me to the "delivery clerk" and then to the shipping dock with another transfer to a answering machine where I left a message that was never returned, I talked to "Carol" who then transferred me to the "delivery clerk" who said it was now too late to do anything and that delivery will be scheduled for next day. I will keep my fingers crossed. It seems that the last 10-15 miles from the UPS site to here is a very long way!
They really are the worst. I live in a four family house and I'm on the second floor in the rear of the building. I left MANY notes on the door explaining I AM HOME all day (work from there) and there's no doorbell. They will not leave my package after I left the delivery attempt notice on the door with my signature accompanied by the note. I called their customer service explaining this problem after they notified me they were going to send my package back, and all they could say was "our drivers don't have phones, they can't call you, and there's no guarantee we can deliver your package". WTF? I can't get an item I paid for because my landlord won't install a [censored]ing doorbell?! Wrong, just WRONG! If I left my signature there AND I put in writing to please JUST LEAVE IT, I should get my damn package! They really need to change their policies!
failed attempt of delivery
I feel like ups isn't doing their job very well. I keep having problems where they claim they made a deliver attempt but it doesn't look like they even made the effort to come upstairs and knock on my door. I've even had people waiting at home all day and they claim to have knocked and no one was home which is a lie because I had someone listening all day just in case. They need to work on really trying to deliver the package, it is their job. What else are they getting paid for? It's ridiculous...
delivery to wrong address twice
1. Tracking number 1Z189W2W0244584676 Brenda Richard
Notification said delivery would be on Wed, Sep 5. On Fri I left town and didn't remember until Sat that I didn't get package. On Sat I checked tracking said it was delivered at 630pm on Wed . I called UPS who referred me to Amazon who said they'd send me the item again, When I returned home on Sun the package was at my front door. Where had it been?
2. Tracking number 1Z1497RF0200625935 Brenda Richard
Notification said delivery would be on Wed, Sep 12 I left note addressed to UPS on exterior security door with the security code (even though it was on the address label). In the afternoon I got notification that package was delivered. I checked outside my door and the exterior door The note was gone but no package. I saw my neighbor and asked if she saw the UPS person and she said he was at our exterior door holding my note and a box wandering around. I called UPS to say that although I got notice that delivery was made I didn't get it. Then, on a hunch, while on the phone with UPS, I ran to the building next door and found my package sitting there at the wrong address.
My address is 6021 Chevigny St, #6. The driver delivered the package to 6031 Chevigny St, #6. The label address clearly read 6021 as the address. Finding this second package cleared the mystery of where the first package had been, He apparently also delivered it to 6031 and the resident brought it over to my address to couple of days later so it was waiting when I got home.
Twice within 1 week the driver delivered my package to the wrong street address! That's clearly driver error. I never have delivery problems with FedEx or US Postal Service and I cringe when I know the package is coming by UPS (Undelivered Parcel Service) because I almost always have problems with the delivery.
I don't know what the solution is - eyeglasses for the driver, pay attention, better training? All I know is that I'm an unhappy customer.
reckless driver
On the way home from work on 9/12/18 on High House Road in Sampson County a reckless UPS driver truck # 193768. The driver had a piggyback attached speeding over 65 miles per hour, because I myself was going 65 miles per hour. The driver passed two automobiles at a high rate of speed and the back trailer was uncontrolled, and going into the other lane. The driver ran off the side of the road several times and appeared to not have complete control of the truck. I understand we live in a fast pace world, but safety of each other is very important. There is never a reason to put life or someone else's life in danger by being reckless. The driver today was selfish, unprofessional, and disrespectful of everyone on the rode with him.
