I've been going to the eye doctor at 20 Lafayette Ave. in Morristown New Jersey for over ten years. I had an appointment today in which the doctor changed the prescription to my contacts. In the past when my prescription changed, the doctor would exchange any unopened contact boxes for the new prescription. I was told the policy changed and they would no longer do that. The exchange was made on numerous occassions in the past ten years.

I have a 1-year prescription with two months rainy remaining on my prescriptionhowever when I call to order new contact lenses I'm told that I cannot get a different type of lens with the same prescription because they need me to come in to get a another exam despite the fact that I still have my current prescription valid for 2 more months I keep asking for lenses and they say that they cannot give me anything unless I get a new exam I do not have insurance where the money for another exam I just want my contact lenses which they have already mistaken more than once and so I've had to do without my contact lenses for quite a while due to their mistakes on several occasions and now they're telling me they won't serve me because I have to put a new prescription because the one that I have that's good until next year they say isn't good enough because it's almost up I feel like I'm being scammed and hustled so that they can charge me for another exam that I do not need.
fitting the right size eyeglasses to the face
The people there are very courteous..but the glasses the i picked out did not fit my face and are way too large .You have to understand that my eyes had been dilated and I would assume that the salesperson would have said those are too large for your face. Now I am stuck with a pair of glasses I hate. I would not go back to Vision Works.
Also the lenses were so dirty on the sample pairs that you could barely see through the lense to make a comparsion.
Store employee
I was at the Amsterdam, New York location on Wednesday August 21st, 2019 at 130pm for an exam. I had the unfortunate experience of working with store employee, Rita.
She was, for lack of better descriptions, obnoxious towards me, children in the store and her fellow employees. She would ask me a question, snap, cut me off before I could reply and was beyond rude. She yelled at me when I started to walk into the drs exam room after he had asked me to come in and she snapped at me again, accusing me of just walking in on my own. The dr. Head her and apologized profusely for her behavior. After my exam, she yelled at children in the lobby, who were sitting together and talking quietly to each other and then yelled at the employee who was assisting me with my new prescription and told her to " shut up". Everyone in the lobby was in a state of shock.
I have been in administrative management in the field of developmental disability for 25 plus years and have NEVER experienced such a unprofessional and out of control customer service employee in all my life. Please feel free to contact me directly for additional information. [protected].
