Vodafone still charging for a cancelled phone line

I have cancelled two phone lines 1 in February 2011 and one in August 2011 however they are still charging me for the lines! I have contacted them numerous times. The bills were paid by direct debit and they continued to take the money, so they have grossly overcharged me. I cancelled the direct debit and they are still chasing me for outstanding monies of a line that doesn’t exist. I'm fed up of wasting my time talking to ###s at the call centre; I have asked to speak so supervisors etc... to be told they don't have any.. please! I'm getting so annoyed and frustrated and don't know what to do next any help you can shed on this problem would be gratefully received.

Threaten to denounce them, and also lodge an official complaint and get a reference number of it, then call again to complain you haven't had a response to that, and make another official complaint and get the reference number, and repeat the procedure until they get as fed up with you are as you are with them, then fax a notice of denunciation, and they will cack themselves and sort it out as it should have been done on day 1

Vodafone billing theft

Good afternoon,

I am on aprogram that allows me to use video calls and text messages to all vodafone numbers on friday free of charge. (vodafone super)
during the last three weeks, I have been charged with all the sms and was unable to do video calls.
Had called the customer service each time and it was totally disappointing for the following reasons:
1. it takes so long time to answer the phone =, sometimes I was on hold for more than 10 min.
2. the line has been interrupted after they answer the phone more than three times, and I had to call again and again and hold again and again, before they answer on the fourth or fifth call.
3. they are claiming that there will be a call to measure your satisfaction from the customer services, I had never ever received such a call in the last 7 years. even when I called and informed about my complain and the line interrupted, no one was calling back to inform about the solutions, although theu have got all the details about the problem.
4. each time I had to call to get a refund back of the wrong charges, I had to wait for 24 hours and call them next day again to get my refund, ...while they suppose to register my complain and solve it whenever they could and no need to follow up with them again, it is their system not mine.
5. I have been addressing the same problem each week and each time they are saying that it has been solved and Ithere will not be wrong charges the next week as it has been already fixed and the next week I had to do the same issue again.
6. I called the last friday on 25 of nov at 21:30, they opened the line 4 times with out any reply and there was no reason to pay for these calls as long as no one answer, when I reported it to the customer service agent (Mohamed and Ahmed), they have said that someone will give you a call after 24 hrs, to apologize and get asolution for the problem, it passed more than 168 hrs and no one called or even emailed me.
7. this week again, I am having the same problem, I have been charged with all the SMS and I am unable to make free vidoe calls.

it is not amatter for the charges as it is very simple, however, the waste of time each week as it took more 20 to 30 min to get it done, plus the standards of services arenot the one should be expecting from Vodafone

you can get back to all the records of my phone calls to the customer services.

Vodafone vodafone network issue

Dear Jigish Modi,

Further to you're email date "Tuesday, November 15, 2011 5:55 PM" as mentioned below in the email that the request has been forwarded to the concerned department and the same will be processed in 2 working days & We assure you that you will receive a confirmation call for your above mentioned Vodafone mobile number.

- I would like to mention here that Vodafone has again failed to do so. I haven't received the confirmation call during these 2 working days as committed to me nor my issues are resolved yet.

We wish to inform you that we would be unable to reverse the Monthly rentals for your above mentioned Vodafone mobile number since they are correctly charged.

- Can you justify the above statement as to with respect to the plan and the usage comparing the usage with respect to mins in last 6 months (roughly around April 11 onwards till date i would suggest since when I am regularly facing issues with the network in the said location which is experienced for last 9 years)

LAST NOT THE LEAST CHANGE THIS LINE BELOW OR STICK TO IT...

Happy to help,

Regards
Sam

Subject: Re: Your Vodafone Bill is overdue

I received a call from some person (Could not understand his name due to voice breaking and no clear network I guess its the same person sending me this email) stating that the reversal is not possible since the maintenance work is going on.

Some doubts here:

Why Should i pay for network charges when I dont have network where I stay as well as where I work?
When Vodafone is saying I have usage can Vodafone also do a survey for what is the Plan and also compare the usage to the for last nine years since the complaint is logged with the recent 5 months usage. (Its has gone down due to network issues drastically which also should be a part of the process before deactivation of my services)
Since 9 years I have been listening to Vodafone that there is a Maintenance work going on some times there is a Network tower planning going on but till date there is no network where i Stay as well as where i work.
Why Vodafone not sent an engg to my residence yet since nine years to check the network issue which was committed on each call which was logged.
Why would vodafone ask a customer to do a survey for the entire area for network issue and provide the nos facing issues? If yes let vodafone pay for the time and money needed for it and I am happy to do it for vodafone.
What happens if after 2 working days the network issues remain same? Will Vodafone reverse the network charges?
Please note here in the calls made to me Vodafone executives have accepted that there is a network issue and have done multiple calls to speak to me on the same day please refer to the call logs from the dialer system as well as the voice call recordings.

Please note that I have always vouched to pay the usage charges what ever mins. I have used when i was in network area and asked for the reversal of the rentals as rentals are for the maintenance and the network which in my case is not happening since nine years.

Kindly give me in writing with an justifying reasons why there is no network for last nine years and till date and why should one who is suffering should not ask for reversal of the network charges.

Also please note that sending emails at the office closing time is not a professional attitude do send the emails in due time so that appropriate replies are read on time so that the time delaying tactics are used less to resolve the issues much faster.

Vodafone they say its infinite but its superficial word its not

they are plans in Vodafone for prepaid users that says unlimited, and its superficial and its not transparent

i wonder how ANZ bank online webpage runs always super fine, hwoever m getting all this erros
and i do not get 3G phone speed using google maps, at time its not safe to use in emergency. some thing like quickly checking tram timing, if Vodafone Internet is slow what they say its 3G its not always 3G ... however i am here to share experience, melburne public will awaken out of superficial words used like infinite, while they charge
i went for infinite 35$ plan its over
then i go for 50$ plan infinite
now i go for 90$ plan infinite
its unfair if some body takes advantage of public by hiding charges selling it giving name like word INFINITE and nnot making thing transparent, hiding the fact about the charges, its more like u make public blind or challenging first and once u do that u take advantage

Vodafone case of cheating by not giving correct information to the customer & not changing my data plan and force to pay bill

Complaint against
Vodafone Essar Cellular Limited, Vodafone House, The Metropolitan, FP No 27, Survey No 21, Old Pune-Mumbai Highway, Wakdewadi, Shivaji Nagar, Pune - 411 003

1. I have opted the VODAFONE 3G data card service with number [protected] from the date 13-Apr-2011 with RS. 850 /3GB dataplan.
2. I am paying vodafone bill in time every month.
3. On 2nd-SEP-2011 at 8:10 PM I received SMS from Vodafone "Introducing Double benefit on VODAFONE 3G Datacard Plans : Rs 650 for 2GB, RS 850/6GB & RS 1250/10 GB"
4. So I called up Customer care of VODAFONE (toll free number 111) at 11:38 PM on 2nd-SEP-2011 and requested Customer care executive to change my data plan to RS 850/6GB, Customer care executive also confirmed that he has changed plan from RS 850/3GB to RS 850/6GB .
This call duration was last for 9 min & 18 Sec, During this call Customer care executive never mentioned about whether the plan is for New customer or OLD customer.
5. To cross verify new plan is activated or not I have called to customer care on next day i.e. 3-Sep-2011 at 5:04 PM, This time also customer care executive has confirmed that RS 850/6GB plan is activated.
6. After getting confirmation from customer care executive I have used data around 6.2 GB from 5th SEP 2011 to 4-OCT-2011.
On 6th OCT I received VODAFONE Bill of Rs. 7772.64 & I was shocked, when I checked the bill, New plan was not activated of RS 850/6GB & I was showing same old plan of RS. 850 /3GB, VODAFONE has charged
Rs. 6838 for additional 3GB,
7. I have called up customer care on 6th Oct-2011 & asked explanation of the Bill Rs. 7772.64, that time they said that your plan is never changed & you have to pay the bill,
Then I asked for "why my plan was not changed ?" Customer care executive was not able to give clarification about it so I have asked to transfer call to his SUPERVISOR,
I told to the SUPERVISOR about calls of 2nd &3rd Sep-2011 about plan changed. Also got the confirmation on 3rd SEP that the plan of Rs 850 /6GB is activated. So I used data upto 6 GB.
Supervisor told me that "your Plan was never changed" & " This plan was not for existing customer and it is for new Customer only"
8. This is purely case of cheating by not giving correct information to the customer & not changing my Data plan and force to pay bill of RS. 7772.64, I request to court to ask company to correct bill as per new data plan
9.This is a case economical harassment, by company and Vodafone Company should get punished accordingly.

Also all the conversation made on 2nd & 3rd Sep as well as 6th Oct with customer care are recorded by the company, Please ask the Vodafone company to provide these recorded calls for justice.
Kindly request to make JUSTICE with me.

Dear Rajashree,

Thanks for your mail. I regret to inform you though, the 30% discount offered is rather insulting to me. I am not asking for discount. I am asking to revoke the false charges altogether!
I have been using the service for close to 15 years now and have contributed to huge revenue on Vodafones part.

I have been cheated and taken advantage of for being an old customer.
Over the past 2-3 years, I have been using yearly internet plan and pay for it annually also. Suddenly one fine day Vodafone decides to disconnect my yearly subscription and switch me over to open usage rates when I have not even asked for it. I have not been informed or taken authorization for disconnection of yearly plan or activation of full rate usage.
You can see in the account details that I have been using data services for the last few years, yet your representatives insist that there was and is no data plan active on my number. I find this highly questionable and dishonest.

I am really shocked and appalled by the business ethics employed by a supposedly consumer driven company.

Once again, I will not be held responsible for your internal miscommunication and dishonest methods.

I am attaching the mail I sent to you and a few other consumer protection organizations.

I really do not wish to waste any more time on this issue since it has already been pending for almost 2 months now. I hope you do not force me to consult my legal department or escalate the issue on social media sites and gather more vodafone consumers who have been duped and cheated in a similar way.

I hope you can reverse the fraudulent charges immediately and restore my phone services to its usual setting.

Sincerely,
Mr. Mardia.

Dear Sir,

I regret to let you know that I am suffering from the worst kind of customer service from Vodafone than I've ever experienced in my life.

The charges mentioned on my account are fraudulent and false and I will not be liable to pay for Vodafones errors/mistakes/frauds.
Relationship No- 1.5011367
Mobile No- [protected]

I have called my relationship manager more than 15 times and with no resolution of the problem. Every time I am assured that I will receive a call 'within 24 hours" and till date I am still to receive any calls from Vodafone.

I have been falsely charged the amount of Rs. 7538.97, which has now increased even more with your fraudulent charges; under the pretext that I had called up vodafone 6 months in advance and asked for deactivation of my internet plan 6 months into the future and apparently Vodafone took my request for 6 months in the future. This is the kind of unbelievable lies I was told by the representative. Shocking as it sounds, it is complete lies.

On calling again, I was told a different story that there was some technical error on vodafone side and they messed up the data account and did not switch me over to the plan renewal and instead decided without my knowledge or permission to deactivate my currently used data plan and charge me full data rates without any plan.

It has now been over a month and several calls from my side with no resolution. As frustrating and appalling as Vodafone has made the situation, I would like a final resolution of the problem or a switchover to another service provider.

Sincerely,
Mr. Mardia.

Vodafone deficeincy in service

V-2/11/26
Date : 11.10.2011

Dear Madam,

Please accept my regards.
With reference to my earlier letter ref V-2/11/23 dt. 10.10.2011& no. V-2/11/17 dt. 30.09.2011 addressed to vodafone few problems have been aggregated further in last few days needs immediate action to keep normal functioning of mobiles.

We are facing following problems due to poor connectivity of Vodafone which please be attended on propriety basis;

1. The coverage of vodafone mobile in our office premises is reduced to ZERO level. We are now totally cut off from the rest of world and could not connect from our mobile. Since last one week the service of Vodafone in our premises gradually gone down. We are continuously communicating our problems through E- mails which were not yet attended and no response so far received. Our office area which was covered with sound signals now suddenly gone out of service. The affected mobile nos are:

[protected] – Mr. V D Manjra { Not working in Factory Area }
[protected] – Mr. R G Gonte { Not working in Factory Area }
[protected] – Mr. B K Sharma { normal services are not available }
[protected] – Mr. S B Wani { Not working in office Area }
[protected] – Mr. S R Prabhune { normal services are not available }
[protected] – Ms. Lata Sunil { receiving full signals but not working }
[protected] – Mr. B N Sharma { completely Dead}
[protected] – Mr. H P Birla { No signals }

2. We are having 41 vodafone mobile connections. Every user has different experience. 20 connections were migrated from Idea Cellular Ltd. Prior to Migrations we subscribed for 21-22 connections having good coverage and services as well. Since last 4-5 days barring few users people are complaining for poor services and poor connectivity like frequent disconnections, disappearance of incoming or outgoing facilities, undesired SMS.

3. The detailed list of users are appended below for vodafone for their convenience to contact them to diagnose individual user’s operational problems.

Vodafone monkeys on board

Do anybody reviews this complaint? Sorry I am new to here and don't know the benefit of using this.
What I realised, there are monkeys working on vodafone. I am using a prepaid service. I want to check my balance. But already I did so many hardwork to know...
I called 140, 141 - IVR System of vodafone. But what id says in the IVR even God can't understand. The voice is so rough and hard. the voice of radio in 18th century where there is no radio tower would have been more clear than this.

Now the next option *141#, *141*# all I tried... But it shows some error messages... Irritated using vodafone...

Thanks for your help.
This is alright and I understand it could be a problem with the handset to use *141# number.
But did u check by calling on the number 140 & 141? Because the voice is not clear to understand and I don't think this also could be a problem with the handset.

Thanks,

Vodafone unnecessary roaming charges

The roaming charges on my vodafone prepaid number [protected] are charged as per minute. I had recharged the roaming coupon of rs.39 on 3rd august, 2011. As per the roaming coupon, the charges would be levied as per second call. But as on 4th, 11th, 21th and 22th august.2011, I had been charged rs.200 approx as per minute. The complaint no. Is [protected] as on 21th august, 2011. No action is taken by the vodafone company. Please take some action and kindly waive off these unnecessary charges.

Vodafone Inferior products

I have been a customer with Vodacom for many years and have a couple of contracts with them. 3 Cell phone contracts and a data and Laptop contract. I pay about R2200 to R2800 per month for these contracts.. In the beginning of August last year I had a problem with my USB K3715 Stick and took it to their customer care centre. I was told to book it in as they have to send it in to have it checked out. The net day I received a sms from them stating that there is a charge of R1022 for the stick as it was deemed negligence from my side. I contacted them and they told me that due to one of the housing pins that where loose I had to pay to have it repaired. I do not understand what the housing pin had to do with the unit being completely dead. When querying this I was told that it is their policy. Any person in should have been able to see that it was just a housing pin that came loose. I was then offered a USB K4505 z for an amount of R1139 as it had a faster download speed. I took the offer as I need the unit to do my business.
Then the problem started all over again due to the new unit switching itself on and off while I was on the net. Again I went to Vodacom 3G store in Tygervalley to report the problem and was told that Vodacom knows about the issue and they are working on it to fix the problem. I then again accepted their word for it. The problem persisted and yet again I went back and they then took the item in to check and gave me a loan unit which did not give me any problems. This was a K3765. Week or so later I was told to come in and was issued with a brand new unit. Two days later the same problem started all over . Unit kept switching itself off. I went to the 3G store in Tygervalley again and was told to book the unit in again. This time I had to Pay R999 for the loan unit as they had changed their policy. The unit was sent in and the loan unit I was given worked perfectly – Again it was a different model. I was then called a week or so later and told to collect my unit as they had loaded new software on it. When I came there I was told I had to wait as they did not have the R999 to refund me for the loan unit. Had to wait 3 hours for them to collect the money for me from cash customers.
Still I had the same problem and contacted their customer service centre and was told all they can now do is a 48 hours unit exchange for a different model that was also less expensive. When I asked if I would be refunded the difference I was told no as it was not policy.
3 Weeks ago I went to the Customer Care centre in Tygervalley to do the exchange and was told they could not as the little red plastic slider on the side of the unit had come off and was gone. Yet again I asked what has the slider got to do with the working of the unit and was told that is policy. The slider is attached to the unit with glue on a base of about 3mm.
It seems that Vodacom is putting inferior products out to customers and if it doesn’t work are throwing the policy at the customers if there are problems.

Vodafone fake bill

Hi,
I wanted to convert my postpaid Vodafone number [protected] to pre-paid.
I went to Vodafone store in Noida 18 and meet the executive. She asked why I want to convert my number to pre-paid, I told her because of high monthly bill. At that I was having Talk249 Bumper Plan. She suggested me that I can take 149 plans that will be beneficial for me also she promised me a discount of 200 rupees in my bill and 300 std free minutes for two months.
Then I asked her if I switch to this plan right now will i get the entire discount ([protected]@50p Rental INR 49 and 100 National [protected]@29) to next bill, she said yes. She confirmed it three times.
Then I asked her to convert my plan to 149 Value plan. And my plan was changed to 149 Value next day.
But when I got the bill then discount was only for some day’s not full discount.
Std call [protected]@1 =1609.00 And I have a tariff of [protected]@50 paisa then in this way discount should be around 800 rupees but I get only 125.67.
Even they charged me 49 for [protected]@50p Rental INR 49 tariff.
Also I didn’t get any discount for sms even I was charged 29 rupees for sms.
They are charging tariff charge for whole month and giving discount for only 9 days.

I am very much upset with the behavior. After calling customer care again and again they are putting me on hold for long time. They are responding at all.
I don’t know why I was made fool. She should have clearly told me that I will not get ant discount if I change my plan in between billing cycle. But she misguided me.

Vodafone harassment for address proof

I have taken a new Sim card for Vodafone connection of number [protected] at Meerut on 20-06-2011 and subsequently submitted my address proof to the Vodafone retail outlet. A week later I got a call from customer care regarding submission of address proof to revive my connectivity. Promptly I rushed to the retail owner regarding the issue. He told me that he'll send it definitely. After 3-4 days incoming call to my no is barred. Finally I go to the head office at meerut (opposite College) and subsequently submit my address proof and photo on 08-07-11, and the Vodafone executive told me that my sim will start functioning within 24-48 hr. But till date, the problem remains same. Such type of poor unresponsive absurd service from Vodafone cann't expect. I'll not take any service from vodafone and also use BAD WORD OF MOUTH to my friends and family to abstain from VODAFONE service.

Vodafone charges & disconection

I opted to change network providers from Vodafone (spain) to Movistar because of excessive charges and poor service, this was supposed to be a simple change over allowing me to keep my original contact number as clients, friends and family all have this number only to contact me. My SIM card has been disabled as from 10th of july and i'm informed i will have no services until the 13th of july, this is simply not good enough. I have tried countless times both today and last night to contact Vodafone es customer service to no avail. Please help me as i am at the end of my tether and need my phone both for business and family.

Yours Respectfully

Edward P Grimes

Vodafone won't unlock my iphone

Nine months ago I purchased a subsidised Iphone 4 from Vodafone on an 18 month contract. I have no problems with the contract, pay my bill every month and intend to continue my contract. I am going on hoiliday shortly and want to use my Iphone abroad as it has all my diaries, apps etc. on it but I don't want to use my Irish number or pay Vodafone's high charges. I can buy a sim in any country and avail of local calls and rates far cheaper than Vodafone. On my returnm I will revert back to my Irish number.
But Vodafone will not give me the necessary code to unlock my phone. They cite I am still under contract for nine more months and until then I can't unlock my phone. Is there anything I can do to get my phone unlocked by them? (I don't want to jailbreak the Iphone).
Thanks

Vodafone poor customer service

Very Very poor customer service. Long queue and customers waiting staff enjoying among themselves and nobody to look after customer. There was one customer service representative named KEVIN was very rude to the customer when asked politely for help. Don't feel like walking in that store. Very bad experience.

We purchased a VodFone prepaid cell phone at Sydney airport, only to find out in our travels in Australia, that there was no coverage outside of the cities. It for Ed me to use my US ($1.25 per min) phone in 2 emergency situations, and many other times that a phone was required, and I had no coverage. We complained, and were told there was no guarantee of coverage, and no refund.

Congratulations for getting the Samsung Galaxie 2 at 5$ only per month. Well Done.

However I have done better today.

I have 5 accounts with Three but made the mistake to migrate to Vodafone last month. For the past 5 weeks I have nothing but abuses and profanities against the Vodafone customers services and counter service staff, some of whom cried. I also threatened to walk off my contract without paying(I can lose my credit card and have new numbers reissued) and kicked up so much fuss with their priority service that they repeatedly called me to stop me from migrating back to Telstra.

I am saying this here so that you guys should repeat the same abuses to their Vodafone staff, I have used up to 5 phones to choke up their customer service line every time they put me on hold for more than 15 min. Make they pay dearly for their sloppy services and shonky connections. Guess what...they rewarded me by first waiving two of my 5 account of all minimum charges for 1 month, from last week. I abused them again today, they lifted the waiving to all 5 accounts for the next 6 months, saving me like $1, 300.00 in total.

Who says that abusive and discourteous bheaviours does not pay ?

If you wish send me your response so that I can copy to you all the voice recording of the abuses and profanities I used, and the rewards Vodafone conceded to me following my beliggerence. Payback time for these corporate bulies.

Hello,
This is just to bring to the notice of everybody that what a cheat the Vodafone company is and how they don't value their customers. I had been out of India for some time and carried my cell n they automatically activated my international roaming without I being aware of it not only that they deducted Rs99 from my prepaid account even for the next month without any intimation this shows how pathetic the service is I hope some action can be taken against it.

Well all I can say is OMG! I have never experienced anything like it. I find my self loosing it at at sales/customer care representative out of sheer desperation and frustration at the constant blocking in a process of remigration back to 3 Mobile as my provider (Due to terrible coverage for both phone and internet with vodaphone)...I have been in a process for 3 weeks now...and I keep getting"someone from that department will call you back " in the next 7 working days, 5 days, 24 hours, 4 hours and so on... Heaven forbid if I have a life and cant get to the phone as guess what...I cant call anybody back! Driving me mental...I was previously with 3mobile but when I moved interstate and wanted to tether for internet...got slammed with roaming charges! another OMG!and hence the move to vodaphone who dont have roaming so your safe! Safe...or so I thought...DONT MOVE FROM THAT SPOT for coverage and even then it can still go from 2 bar to searching without moving an inch...Oh and by the way...Im a single mother with 3 little boys..as if I need this...I dont even have the time to be writing this but I am so beside myself...Vodaphone dont know how to look after their customers...3 Moblie have been excellent...(despite roaming) ...resorting to the telecommunications ombudsman for crying out loud...surely an big company like that must have a policy/procedure in place for the customer service rep to hand you over to someone who CAN sort it out...I have spent some hours now on the phone.( totally challenging with a 10mth, 2 and 4 yaer old hey) ... waiting while they talk to the 'back end team' who deal with reverse migration ...for all their time talking and me waiting...it could have been spent just talking to me and doing the job! and why they cant be more specific about a time to call me is insane...Thanks for listening and hoping you feel well informed to never go near these guys ...SHEEEK! :)

I have a $20 phone plan with vodaphone. I was recently contacted by them and told that I owed $167.50 for the month. After telling them I have a $20 plan they went on to say that the charges were premier charges for a gaming site-3rd party. I told them that I was a victim of fraud and to do something, they haven't and still to this day, the person useing my number is able to rack up credit on my phone. The 3rd party told Vodaphone that the IP address of the person using my phone is not me or lives no where near me yet still Vodaphone refuse to act, I have reported to police and after contacting Vodaphone to say I would sue manager personally, he started to act. Incompetence at the highest level.

I have had a phone on contract for 2and half month the hand set is awful i did let the company know but they said mt return date had run out so i had to keep it for the 18 mnth agreement. Only last week i could not send or receive messages i phoned the company they put me on to all kinds of solvents do this do that which i did and the problem was still there. In the end i had to take the phone to a shop in warrington i had to pay parking and reschedule my hole day, then i was told that my hand set was at fault and and to be sent away for repair that would take one week when i asked for a curiosity hand set they said i was to pay £20 FOR IT i was not very happy and said i wish to cancel my contract that would cost me 15 mnths line rental. I am over a barrel with it all it is dreadful to think that i would be paying money to some one for nothing i have had to borrow a phone from my friend as i need contact threw my phone its very intimating and you are just stuck in a contract that if you cancel you end up paying for a service that does not exist!

I am a Swedish customer, living half the year in Ireland and half the year in Sweden; when i'm in Ireland i use a Vodaphone prepaid card [protected].
I arrived in Northern Ireland on November 9th, exchanged my Swedish sim-card for an Irish one (which i had topped up with 30 euro the day before). Then i switched on the web and opened the US MarketWatch to see if it functioned, and almost immediately got a notice that i used up 30 euro on roaming (!)This seems to me to be an exploitative and consumer-unfriendly practice, and the same thing happened to me by the same time last year. I signed up for some service to avoid it - but it didn't seem to function, nor can i access to see what happened (i get error messages). Can you fix the problem centrally so that i have a functioning account and don't pay fortunes for a minute of roaming? I'm staying in Ireland and Northern Ireland for the next half year, and would be happy to have a functioning and not overexpensive Vodaphone account over that period. As it is now i barely dare to touch the phone.

With best greetings, Christer Persson, email cp@bostream.nu

Dear Pahredar team,

I am having vodaphone prepaid connection. My mobile no. is [protected]. Vodaphone Company has deducted Rs. 199/- on 10/11/2007 at 4:22:50 stating that monthly charges of Rs. 199 has been deducted from your vodaphone mobile for subscription to vodaphone mobile connect.

When these charges were deducted I had contacted vodaphone on 111 customer care no. and talked to Mr. Rajiv there and informed him about the charged deducted by them and asked him why you have deducted these charges. He advised me to send an SMS for discontinue the service which I did. They sent SMS on 14/11/2007 at 17:48:03 stating that the request for deactivation of vodaphone live on vodaphone mobile has been registered. The services will be deactivated in two hrs.

But to my utter surprise, today also i received a call from vodaphone enquiring how much you spent monthly on mobile we can offer you better plan. I told him that last month also I got a call from vodaphone and Rs. 199/- was deducted by you. The lady on the phone immediately disconnected the line. Being apprehended, I checked my balance It was short by 199/- followed by same SMS as was received by me last month.

Sir, The charges for the services which I am not availing at all have been deducted this month also.

Please suggest me what action I should take in these circumstances Or what help you can provide me in this connection.

Dear Sir,

This is in continuation to my complaint dated 15.10.07 given to your office. I have been a subscriber and hold this number since the company was AT &T which subsequently change to BPL then Hutch and now Vodafone.
This clearly indicates my willingness to stay with the company over though I have had some bad experience in the past .You may check your records and you will notice I have never ever defaulted with my bills.
I went abroad on the 26th sept. 07 you have charged me Rs.150/- on 22.09.07 to activate international roaming. In fact there was a error and I got all the incoming calls with no voice as is clearly seen in my roaming incoming calls up to 05.10.07.All these incoming calls have not been duration from 2 seconds to 20 seconds. This clearly goes to show there was no speech. You have further gone ahead and charge me Rs.800/- for these calls. If you compare the bill correctly you will see I made a return call to the same numbers and you have billed a sum of Rs.8031/-.This bill was totally unnecessary as my incoming calls could not be received due to no speech and no I was forced to make these return calls due to vodaphone faulty service.
e.g. 1.On 3rd sept 07 there is incoming call from [protected] there is three time incoming from this number. I made outgoing of Rs. 900.Here my bill is increased by Rs. 800.

2. On 3rd sept 07 there is incoming call from [protected] there is one incoming call from this number. I made outgoing of Rs. 1350.Here my bill is increased for Rs. 1107.

3. On 4th sept 07 there is incoming call from [protected] there is five incoming call from this number. I made outgoing of Rs. 750.Here my bill is increased for Rs. 642.
Surprisingly the only Two phones that were clear and came through in Spain were from your call centre. which makes it seem like it is vodaphones policy was to make the customer pay more for outgoing calls(Rs 127 as against Rs 27 for incoming calls) hence the request to a fair billing.
All these facts indicate that these calls had to be made due to faulty Vodafone service and I had repeatedly requested you to look into the matter and correct the scene. And I am willing to settle the bill. My intension made clear as I already paid half the sum of the disputed amount.
Vodaphone has barred my incoming & outgoing service after my repeated request to your service centre. I am a businessman and your continuous failure of providing service to one of your oldest customer in the city is shocking & surprising.Further the recoreded message of vodaphone which says that all calls to this number are barred has tarnished my image in the market. This has further caused huge inconvenience in my business as well as big financial losses. It seems that Vodaphone has deliberately barred my outgoing and incoming. while you give this facility for any new prepaid customer for a nominal fee of Rs 499/-. Customer harassment seems to be the name of the game with Vodaphone.

Thanking You,

P.J.Ghatge

10 Jan 11, daughter's Vodaphone mob received the Nokia 40th anniversary lottery scam text. The mob is not internet enabled, nor does she make many calls or subscribe to any random services. Very suspicious that within days of the Vodaphone security breach story that she received the scam text, and guess what...can't get through to Vodaphone, can't access her account and still waiting for a call back. While our account details are held OS by telcos based in Australia, none of our info is guaranteed secure no matter what assurances they offer, these scams are proof of that.

I have become increasingly fed up with the message coming up on my phone that says, I have the wrong password or username, and that I cannot send or receive mail. This is happening on a very regular basis. I of course do have the right password and username, and am able to retrieve and send mail on my desktop. I am not happy about this as I have a contract which includes being able to use this service. I believe that Vodaphone have a responsibility towards me to make the necessary correction themselves, and speak to the party involved who facilitate mail to my phone, instead of offering to "help" me delete my e-mail account, reset it up, do a network settings reset, etc, etc... All of this is very time consuming and should be of course completely unecessary. In fact, it has proved itself to be unecessary on previous occasion, when I have refused to do a reset, and threatened termination of my contract. I am waiting on a call presently from a person in senior management who is supposed to be contacting me about this great inconvenience. Please no comments from any classic internets thugs who are actually violating terms of use for the complaints board, and being abusive. Thank you.

Vodafone negative prepaid balance

I have a prepaid connection of vodafone. The service since the date I have purchased the connection is pathetic. Iwas bombrded with their offers and also kept getting SMS from ICICI bank regarding credit card payment. It seems the number was with somebody else and then was sold again. The balance of my account has now become negative of Rs. 862.00, which very weird since the services stop the moment you cross a certain balnce. I am not able to access my number any longer. The customer care is too laborious to contact with too many OVRS optionsand too slow to repond. Emails take two days to be answered and am stil waiting for reply. Extremely pathetic service. I am not giving my number as yet.

Vodafone false demand for money

Its been more than 20 days since I had complaint to vodafone against its Legal Team for harassing me to recover money even though I have made the Full Payment Rs 7500 but still no response from Vodafone on the complaints made to them.

They will not take any action against their Legal Team for harassing and threatening customer to do the payment. They will only keep sending notes saying we regret the inconvenience caused to the customer but never take action and tell the customer that we have taken such an action.

They are scared to promise that they will not adopt such threatening tactics in future. This shows that they purposely do such things and proves that all their talk of Good Customer Service is nothing but a farce. They openly flout the Code of Conduct laid down by the government for telecom companies.

Corporates like Vodafone are not scared to flout the rules in India as they think they have the money and muscle to taken on any case in the court and therefore they continue to follow the ill - practices in their organization.

Its a shame that common people like us cannot stand up and fight because we do no have strong implementation of consumer protection laws.

Companies like Vodafone will continue to harass the customers in India. This shows their High Handed attitude and arrogant behavior.

Instead of taking action, they keep sending false demand of more money from the customers. This is ridiculous!

Vodafone poor network service and poorest customer care

vodafone - A pain now.

such troublesome network, foolish and non cordinating plans and illitrate customer care executives.

Such poor network they have these days. after dialing 10 times, the number gets connected and gets disconnected abruptly by itself. After finishing your part of conversation you realise the call was disconnected for long and you are just talking to yourself. I had to face many embarassing moments while talking to my bosses and clients.

Plans are so non cordinating to the service. I have two numbers, both are being used by myself only. I have hightest rental calling plans along with free unlimited sms (local and national) and 2gb internet usage plan. I pay around 4000 bucks every month to this good for nothing company, but these idiotic people, they barr my outgoing calls every second day by saying your unbilled amount has exceeded your credit limit. these fools don't really realise that if person is having such high usage, free sms and free internet plan upto 2 gb, why are the considering the unbilled amount. why should i pay in advance everytime. Do anyone has that spare money to throw in advance even after clearing bills of 4000. I alone pay them equal to thier 8 customers but system people hardly bother about the same.

Customer care executives : pain to talk to these illitrate punjabi speaking, lazy, dumb, with almost zero knowledge of IT, english, hindi and their own compay systems, don't even bother to care whether customer is requesting or yelling or whatever.

They themselves say company is in loss these days in India, i feel if this service model is going to be continued, it will soon be bankrupt and roll its bags from India.

India is very different market now. If these people are not able to retain educated loyal customers, then many other options are available in the market these days and thanks to number protability now, no one will spend money and bring the pain home.

A big bye from my side. Good for nothing service. worst experience ever with any network.c
