front end cashier maria
Date 8/20/19 I went through the line of Maria at store 2692, I was not greeted nor acknowledged till the end of my order. She was too busy talking to another associate. Working at a grocery store myself I know that customer service is number one! I am very saddened how Vons went down the drain. It's unfortunate that this store is the one nearest me, however, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Time for your checkers to go back to school for customer service!

I would like to object to a member of your staff living in his car outside your store in Solana Beach. This is against the municipal code and is disgusting. It has been going on for years apparently. The carts meant for the babies are always shoved in with the regular carts. So when a parent needs one of the baby carts they have to sift through all the other carts. As any parent knows it's hard enough shopping with little kids and having to dig though carts only adds to the aggrivation. My suggestion is to leave the baby carts off to one side so parents can easily access them. Another issue I have is there is always trash in the carts. They should be removing them when they bring the carts back. I've worked grocery before and have brought in carts so I know it can be done. This is happening at the Lake Isabella, Ca location.

About 10:30am on July 27, 2019, my husband and I ended our bi-monthly shopping and when my husband (who is autistic and dislikes confrontation) went to the checkout line, I had to grab one last item. The cashier seemed very agitated and annoyed. I tried chit chatting with him, but all he was worried about was his break. My husband nudged me and whispered to me, no.
After we left the building he informed me that the cashier told my husband "No, you have too much stuff, I'm going on break". The cashier apparently huffed, rolled his eyes and allowed my husband to put our items on the conveyor belt... But, he wouldn't move it forward, and when I came back, the cashier tried to shoo me away, and I noticed the conveyor belt wasn't moving. Just a straight up bad attitude.
I've been going to this Vons for well over 10 years, and 99% are great people and we have a great rapport with the employees there. They all know us. But this guy made my husband uncomfortable. When I heard how he treated my husband, I wanted to confront him, but when he handed me my receipt, he ran off for break.
Because of my husbands feeling belittled, he wants to find a new store to go to. I'm hoping his autistic meltdown goes away regarding this matter.
This branch is a great place, and I have to complain, but I'm very protective of my husbands feelings, because I'm the one who's got to calm him down.
frozen foods
I have to quit shopping at your store due to all the frozen food having frostbite. I am not the only one who feels this way. Your employee who puts out the frozen food will bring up pallet after pallet while he's putting away. In the meantime the food is thawing out and being refrozen. I know this is the problem I tried to talk to him today and he acted like you didn't know what I was talking about. So I will be going to Ventura. No more frozen food

Vons delivery service is non reliable very unprofessional! Never had an issue with prior orders before however yest ordered a delivery for a disabled family member and the driver practically threw the bags of groceries in the ground before my father could grab them. My father realized he was missing groceries. Found out half the order was still in the drivers van. Was told by customer service they could drop them off next day. Unacceptable! Received a call from the actual driver that he messed up and could drop them off later that night. At 7pm! He dropped off with the deli meat opened and half eaten! Just got off the phone with DAniel who nonchalantly says I'm just letting you vent... as I'm discussing my frustrations. !?
the actual store
This store allows animals inside the store that are not service animals. This is the store in Lake Isabella, Ca.
Incident # 1 - a male customer brought his dog in and it was bleeding from the but. It left little puddles of blood on the floor. The store employees were notified and the response was yes we know him he comes in often we just make sure we watch him and clean up after his dog.
Incident # 2 - a customer brought their lizard type reptile into the store. A woman ON DUTY proceeded to hold the animal and have her picture taken. It is a known fact they carry salmonella.
I am so grossed out I will NEVER shop in this store again. I will also be contacting the health department as this is not acceptable in any store.

Dog was Inside store.. again not a service animal and not the same as the bleeding dog and was seen licking the packages in the meat dept.
There are multiple people saying that they bring their lizards into the store and are posting pictures on Facebook. Something needs to be done and this store needs to be held accountable.

I purchased gas yesterday (7/9/19) using my debit card at the Vons gas station in Gardena, CA (on Redondo Beach), the sign shows the price for gas is $3.35/gallon for cash/debit purchases. However, I was charged the rate for credit card purchase at $3.45/gallon. I took my receipt to the cashier that only stated, it keeps doing that. I requested to speak to a supervisor. The cashier contacted the supervisor by phone and told my only option is for me to return the following day to see the supervisor (Shanelle) at 8:30 a.m. for a refund. I could not return at that time as I work out of the area. I therefore, respectfully would like to request a refund or similar coupon for the additional amount charged, as I purchased 26.266 gallons of gas yesterday. I always go to this location and have never had such an issue, so can you also please look into this. Other customers were also there seemed frustrated with the same issue. condition of store
I am a new resident of Ojai, CA and have a complaint about the size of our local Vons grocery store. The store is always crowded, the aisles are too narrow for 2 people with carts to pass each other and the store, in general, feels cramped and difficult to maneuver. kombucha
I bought a kombucha today, july 8 2019, and went home and drank it only to see that the kombucha's best before date was april 28 2019. The fact that vons is selling products that far past their best before date is absolutely disgusting! When I called customer services at the location the lady on the phone did not seem to care at all and told me that I can bring it back and get a new one. Why I would want a new one is beyond me. I want vons to check the dates on their products and not sell anything that old. Do not buy kombucha from vons!
employees inappropriate behavior
There is a male employee that rev's his motor, does burn outs, and exhibits speed in the Vons parking lot (Valencia CA, 25850 The Old Road). This action of his is unfortunately scaring people due to the fact that his car is extremely loud. Hopefully your management can put a stop to this before the proper authorities can be notified.
