Walgreens Covid 19 vaccination process

On Friday, May 14, 2021 I arrived at Walgreens for my daughter's second covid vaccine. The appointments were made over at the end of April. Since we had another medical appointment on the same day, we arrived about 20 minutes prior to our 9:50 AM appointment time. When we arrived there was a long line of people with young teenagers waiting to receive a vaccine (since the announcement was made the previous evening that 12-15 year olds are eligible for the vaccine).

After walking to the pharmacy counter (two windows, one marked Covid-19), and only one person at the counter, I excused myself and told the (young) counter worker that I had a 9:50 appointment. I was told to "get in line." I told him the line was very long (I counted 44 people), and we had another medical appointment at 10:50, 30 miles away. His response, "We're open until 10 PM. Come back later." Seriously? Appointments were ignored and there was insufficient staff (only one person was administering shots, and she said she wasn't even scheduled to work that day).

If I had a car reservation at an airport, I wouldn't expect to have to wait in line behind the walk-ups. But Walgreens thinks differently. Too bad for them. Since my daughter wanted to wait, I cancelled the subsequent doctor appointment (at a cost of $50). She received her vaccine at 11:40, over 2 hours after our arrival.

With several options for prescriptions nearby, it will be a long time before I visit a Walgreens again.

I don't think appointments are actually appointments when it comes to this vaccine. Both of mine they just said what time they started administering in the morning, but could show up anytime. Mine was administered by the health department.

Walgreens Lack of communication and sitting way too long in pickup line.

I have been getting my medications from Walgreens going on 5+ years. However after tonight speaking with the Pharmacist on staff and his attitude trying to belittling me when I ask the status on mailing out my prescriptions and how I was spoken to. He sternly told me that was not his job and I would have to call the next morning. So I ask do you not work for Walgreens his response I am a pharmacist not a shipping clerk! Ok I get it you are above anyone who dosent have a equal degree. He stated I will leave a note for the staff and told me someone would be in touch by 9:30 when they arrive for work. I waited until 12:00 that morning with no reply except a text message my prescriptions were ready for pick-up. I had to call the store and ask why was my medication not been shipped. The employee told me they were not aware of a request for shipping. I ask do you folks not make notes in your system I was told yes, she then told me she seen nothing about my request. Okay I hade requested on Friday morning to have my order to be shipped that day and was told ok however they only had a partial of one prescription and would send the other when it came in. My medications were for my type 2 diabetes which I went without for a couple of days not good. I got my medication after making several calls to have it shipped. I also have sit at the pick-up line for 30-45 minutes as a customer did not call in their prescriptions but was allowed to sit until it was filled. When I ask the person at the window she stated we have to fill them regardless. There has been more than a couple of situations of filling prescriptions without me requesting them. I also noticed they now have delivery and when I ask about having my medications being delivered for some reason they could not give me that option. I choose Walgreens because of the stellar service years ago. For the most part the staff has always been professional and friendly. Just too note as of 5/12/2021 this year my insurance has paid out $90k for my medications. I do not want to change from Walgreens all I am asking if there could be more understanding of my personal needs also more attention of allowing customers to refill at the pick-up window and make several others wait.

Walgreens Covid Vaccine App

On the Walgreens app to see your Covid Personal record of Vaccinations mines seems to be incomplete. I see that my second dose is listed with the date and time but my first dose says not completed. I have been to the pharmacy 3 times to fix this matter and I have called the [protected] numerous times and my issues is still not solved. Could you please direct me on how I can go about getting my Vaccination record online corrected? Thanks

Walgreens Lost prescription

I am extremely frustrated with the service I've received at two locations in Dothan, AL, stores #7405 and #13111. I sometimes need new medications as I am trying to find something that works, but both times my doctor has requested a new script, I've been turned away because their system says my order is in Mobile, which is a four hour drive away, despite my Walgreens account saying it was ready at that location in Dothan. The first time I actually drove back to Mobile to pick it up, but they gave me the wrong prescription! In the end I never received that medicine. The second time (today, 05/07/2021), I was getting two prescriptions refilled and one new prescription filled (although it wasn't actually new, it's just a restricted substance that requires approval each month), and I happened to be in Mobile so they were sent to the pharmacy there. Only the two refills were ready for pickup, and I got a call saying the new prescription was ready in Dothan. Knowing last time's mishap, I asked for the third drug to be transferred, but due to the nature of the prescription my request was declined. So I drove four hours to Dothan to pick up my order. And they said they never received a request for that to be filled there, even after I told them I got a call from them saying that drug was specifically ready for me at that location. The staff was dismissive and implied that I need to go back to Mobile to fix it, even though I had already dealt with that two days ago. This is a serious liability issue if a restricted substance is getting lost. Finally, I can't even submit a complaint through the Walgreens website since it is so dysfunctional and have to come here.

Walgreens Lost my prescription

dropped off my order and was told people called out sick and I would be lucky if it was filled by tomorrow so I left and returned the next day to find out that 1 of my prescriptions was not filled and they lost it. I have now been on hold for over an hour and they still have not picked up my phone call...Yeh only 2 callers ahead of me now. Worst place in the world. Get your prescriptions filled someplace else.

Walgreens lewd conduct in Store parking lot

I want to fill out a complaint about something that happened in the parking lot of one of your store.

Today I went to the store with my daughter which is a minor and we have a man on his 50's, pull his pan and urinated outside the store. I went inside and reported to the person at the register and nothing was done. I called the manager, unfortunately, it appears she didn't know what to do. Sadly when I left the store, the man was seating inside his car eating. Can someone follow up with us.

Walgreens Covid Testing

Received PCR Covid Test at this location. Walgreens gave out Patient Fact Sheet with incorrect information as to how to obtain results. "Test results will be posted on the LabCorp patient portal 2-5 days after test results are available. Download app or register today at patient.labcorp.com"

Registered with LabCorp, Made several calls to LabCorp to find out they did not have my test. They gave me the correct lab which was Aegis. Had to register with Aegis, who provided results.

Too many steps, too many websites securing too much personal information. FBI is investigating fraudulent scam attempts of many labs nationwide, including LabCorp.

I will NEVER use Walgreens, for prescriptions or miscellaneous items. !

Walgreens Pharmacy

I called Walgreens.com to request 3 medications. I also called my Dr.s office and both offices told me to contact the other Dr.s office said to have Walgreens to fax prescription request and Walgreens said to have Dr.s office to send prescriptions to them so who do I speak to about this back and forth. I just need someone to look out for my best interest. I have chronic hypertension with type 2 diabetes. I have had 3 strokes and no medication means putting me at risk for another stroke and possibly death. I will also be taking this up with my Dr. I also need to make sure that Dr. You have on file is taken off. My new PcP is Dr. Barry Martin [protected] please deal only with him and his office. The office location I go to is only open on Tues and Thurs.so communication with them is limited to those 2 days. This is my problem. Please help.

Walgreens The pharmacy

This is the worst I mean the worst pharmacy I've ever been to, Walgreens in Elkton Maryland on Pulaski Hwy, when you go to the Drive-through you can be the only one sitting in front of the Drive-through window and twice this has happened, you can be sure to sit there 15/20 minutes before your even greeted, they're very ignorant in act like you don't even exist when you're sitting in the drive-through they can't even keep staff different faces every time again nothing professional about any of them, As of last week I moved my prescriptions a long with my family to northside pharmacy in Elkton Maryland, I will be sure to absolutely NEVER give Walgreens a good reference they are absolutely worthless for customer service, H Davis

Walgreens Vaccine

I had apt for my mother at 12 for her 2nd dose for covid she is 89 years old on a walker and it is 1214 and nothing I am still in line and we have another apt today at 230 on the other side of town. There are 8-10 people waiting on shot and I am now up to 2nd in line, so this is ridiculous should have been better planned for 2 lines one for people getting first shot and one for 2nd shot and just maybe it would have been easier. Our time is valuable too

Walgreens Service of phone calls

So my wife has been on hold for pharmacy in the Lehigh Acres Florida location for 45 minutes then a recording came on phone saying. We are gonna take lunch now so call back later of continue to hold on after lunch we will be with you so we hold we have now been on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes so far with no end in site this is bull crap you can't get no service from this Walgreens it has to be the worst location I have been put on hold here and after about 45 minutes they just hang up on me.

Walgreens Online customer service

My name is Duyen Bui. On the April 13th, 2021, i chat with an online agent at walgreens regarding my products which got cancelled and the coupons disappeared. The person replied really slowly, left me hang there and did not answer my questions. At the end, the problem was not resolved and I felt disrespected.
My desirable resolution was that I can buy the same products with the coupons they offered since i did not cancel my order, and walgreens cancelled it.
