incorrect pricing and managerial downplay
During the past 4-6 weeks, I have made several trips to our friendly Wal-mart store both here in Calgary, AB, Marlborough location as well as the Strathmore, AB location and if I had not been on guard, I would have been paying too much money on each of these occasions. The first incident was about a week before Christmas, when I wanted to purchase a sounds around system for my husband. The electronics people were very nice, but all of their pricing was wrong. The clerk brought three different units to the front and all were priced wrong. I finally spoke with a manager and she did her best to put the blame on someone else, namely the consumer for moving the products. I pointed out to her that all of these products were secured to shelves and impossible for anyone to move. I then pointed out four different units that had incorrect labels and she still tried to blame others, but said she would correct the issue. I went back a few days later and all four labels were removed and no pricing attached to them. There were of course other items which still had wrong pricing attached to the shelves underneath the items so you still could not get a correct price on an item. Then just after Christmas, I went to Srathmore and purchased Wrapping at 75% off, but the one roll of paper came up in the system as $112.00. Clearly it was wrong, but the cashier insisted that the computer was correct. It was only after I asked her to rescan everything that she discovered the issue and admitted to having the same issue with another customer but didn’t catch it until it was too late. Last night I went to the same Wal-Mart and again bought a CD. The price on the label was $15.44 but rang through as over $18.00. I had to go back to customer service where she corrected it and followed their policy of $10.00 off for the error. Today I went back to Marlborough, and with flyer in hand, purchased some cereal which was supposed to be $1.67 or 3 for $5.00. Again it was wrong, but the flyer said 275m-475m. The brand and size that I purchased was indeed within these sizes and the correct brand. A person in management said that the flyer was wrong, but only offered the advertised price after another customer spoke up and said it was against the law. Only on one occasion was I offered the $10.00 off discount for the error in pricing, and for all of my wasted time talking to managers and customer service, I should have been given a lot more! These stores think that we aren’t watching, and with all of these errors on my purchases over the past month, how many people have been overcharged and have not known? How much extra money are they scamming from people and not admitting to, but collecting on it and making a huge profit? Consumers should be aware and should be watching the scanners and looking at their receipts! Wal-mart needs to be held accountable for these pricing issues. The managers need to take responsibility for the events that happen each day and make sure that there are no pricing errors. I am tired of it, and if I have to hold up a line for an hour in order to get my point across, that is what I will do, and I will make sure that everyone knows about their pricing errors and take it as far as I possibly can in order to make consumers aware and Wal-mart be more careful with their prices.
expired product on shelf
I purchased 10 Campbell's soup products from Walmart and 1 when opened had strange growth on top of silver film and under red cap. The one that showed this problem was a Campbell's soup at hand soup. After inspecting the soup with the gross odor and strange mold substance on top, I discovered that the expiration date was long past. I purchased the soup on Feb 26, 2011 while the date on the bottom of the soup was Aug 11, 2010. This is exactly what should never happen. All the other soups I purchased were not past expiration. Walmart should be keeping check of stock and maintain product checks. Customers should not feel they have to read the expiration date of every product they purcahse. We should feel safe enough in the store to trust they will check such issues to stay in business.

I have ordered Equate Sport Lotion online on 5/24/2013 and received an item on 5/29/2013 having expiry date of 04/2013.
Most people realize that companies make mistakes and check the expiry date.
walmart steals from customers
The Walmart I have been shopping at has made a practice of stealing from the customer at checkout. Walmart store Supercenter #3739, 5875 E Franklin Rd, Nampa, ID 83687 makes sure all items are not in the bag or a bag is set aside at checkout. I have noticed 5 times when I get home items are missing from my purchase. Such a practice is common thievery and...

I have been to this store many times in over 4 years now and recently the store has decided to implement a person at the door who checks receipts almost copying costco. However, since this has started I have been stopped twice out of five times to "check" my receipt. I asked the second time, as we are a young family and the older couple ahead of us didn't get stopped, why we were stopped. The older worker's reply was he had to check anything that wasn't in a bag to see if on a receipt. The first time we were stopped we had no grocery that wasn't in a bag! I have taken some time to watch as to how people are dressed and even their color. They are "choosing" who they stop and how "they" feel about a person. I would say this is bad business as well as racism and discrimination! I am in the process of filing a complaint with the bbb as well. On a day I had "not so expensive" clothing, I got stopped. On another day I dressed very well and hair in style and was not stopped as I watched people in pajamas get stopped as well as watching people run past him out the door. My opinion: stop everyone or stop no one! I think this store and any other store of this chain practicing these tactics needs to be stopped. I wouldn't be surprised if lawsuits soon start over this as like I said before, complete discrimination in full.

I politely tell Wal-Mart door-checkers that I don't submit to searches without a warrant. I've had several of them scream at me on my way out the door, and make various insults and accusations. But the plain fact is: they have no right to touch (assault) me, detain me, or handle my property (which I just purchased) and that's how it works. If they want to force the issue, I will be very happy to call the Police on them.
I also have had issues with the Harrissville Walmart..showing my receipts i don't mind doing, but i have noticed a few times some guys just kinda waiting outside the Salon in Walmart, and as i start to exit the store, they will get right along side me..the alarm will beep, and i will be the one stopped i pointed this out to the greeter, and asked why wasn't the other shopper stopped also, and she basically told me because i choose to stop you..another time while showing my receipt the lady checking it started asking me what store was i price matching with, and the sale prices were wrong, and if i wanted those sale prices to shop at that store INSTEAD of Walmart.I think i spend way to much money at Walmart to deal with that kinda treatment i understand people can have bad days, but if you take it out on customers, you should not be working a job that deals with so many people..Im taking myself to Winco next time...and i DID have the adds to show proof of sales to price match as did the cashier...she even priced matched for me some coke that i did not know was on sale at Macy's...to bad some cashiers are so great..but some workers just mess it up...
I work at Walmart part time. This is not about race or illegal searches. If you walk around the store sometime, go down an aisle where ther eare no cameras watching. Look at all the opened product that has been stolen. It is not only about looking for stolen items but to look to see if the clerk missed scanning an item that was too big ( maybe on the bottom of the cart etc ). People steal millions of dollars from Walmart every year. It costs the total retail outlets billions of dollars. You just expect them to eat the costs.
I have seen stores lose over a million dollars in inventory a year and that would be considered good in some areas.
Walmart is not going after race. They are just trying to protect their goods. Yes, I have seen people try to walk out with a cart full of mdse, when the clerk is busy at the door. We have a greeter and a security person at the door. It is not uncommon to have two or more people working together to distract the clerks while another leaves the store with high ticket items, or even a basket full of clothes.
I have worked in several jobs in my 59 years and although we had theft from clerks and employees, it was not in this volumn.
I have also seen clerks not ring up items for their friends and then try to get out the store because they think the security person saw them in line and that the goods were paid for. They not only got arrested but the clerk lost his job.
AND you know who ends up paying for all this... We all do... in higher prices.
No private citizen has the legal authority to detain and question another, UNLESS he/she has reasonable grounds to believe a crime has been committed. WalMart violates the Constitution every single day with its receipt-check policy. For more info go to WalMart: Unlawful Detainment @ www.scribd.com.
I am single, white, blond, mid 40s, above average in looks and build for my age. I have very healthy checking and savings accounts, both in the 5 figure range. I have a 401K. I work in the fraud department for the company that holds the title "Best company for working mothers". I have one child in elementary school.
I agree 100% with the complaint. I have noticed the same thing at the Wal-mart on Rancho Santa Fe in Avondale, AZ. Everyone in the country is aware of the racial issues in AZ. The Wal-marts in the Phoenix area that are located in the predominately Hispanic communities or lower income communities are very aggressive with this behavior. The decline and quality of service at my local Wal-mart was in direct correlation with an increase of Hispanic growth. The surrounding neighborhoods, all under 15 years old, were impacted by the housing market, many homes becoming Section 8 housing.
I have noticed on many occasions Hispanics or those possibly on the lower end of the social economic ladder stopped while exiting with their purchases. These items were carried in one or two bags. I found it shocking not a single person questioned the behavior. There is a definite selection process. I used to do the majority of my shopping at that Wal-mart. Abusive behavior and the arrogant refusal to provide customer service eventually drove me away. As others have commented, I don't have to shop at Wal-mart. I have many options locally and have benefited greatly from the discovery. There are still a few items I prefer to get at Wal-mart, and yes, cost is the deciding factor. I have just started shopping at other Wal-mart locations in the Phoenix area. In the non Hispanic communities, the prices are lower, the selection better, the stores cleaner with a better quality of service. Its a win win for me. The down side of this is my tax dollars are being spent in other cities.
I made the mistake of going to the Rancho Santa Fe Wal-mart on 3/1/11. The experience was the tipping point. I have written letter of complaint to Wal-mart and forwarded copies of the letter to the BBB, the State, and the city of Avondale. Discrimination is illegal in this country. Not all Wal-mart stores are bad. The ones that are need to be addressed. For anyone who stands by and watches an unjust situation, remember it the next time it is "your" turn to deal with something unfair.
FDL_HOU: I used to work in retail. An EXTREMELY common theft tactic involves putting the items in the store's bags. Wise doesn't factor in to most theft, stupidity does.
And at my Wal-Mart there are many valuable items between the register and door.
If someone was stealing from Walmart, would it be wise to put the stolen good(s) in a Walmart bag? Wouldn't the best place to put it is in their purse or underneath their clothing. So what would this check of the receipt against what's contained in the bags prove? Why doesn't Macy's or Nordstroms implement this policy, if it's such an effective method against theft? Hell, it's even worse at those stores. You can buy something in a department and move from department to department. At Walmart, there isn't any items of value between the cashier stand and the door. Sure, I know they have surveillance video, but so does Walmart.
Let's put it another way. They ask you to stop..you keep walking? What are they going to do? Call the security? the police? If they call the police and you can prove to the police you paid for every item you have in your sack. Then what can they do? As I said..I don't do this, and I have read about it being done in [redacted]s. I refuse to shop at Walmart, not only because of that but vbeacause they have cheap and I don't mean cheap in cost, but cheap merchandise.
That should have read do a search in Google, to see proof they are violating the law with their illegal search and seizure.
###. We do not live in Communist China. Walmart does NOt have any more rights than the Police. You may be willing for your rights to be violated, but I will not. Do a serach of you don't beleive me. They can call the cops all they want., but they have no ###ing rights period to do it.
general
My complaint has to do with WalMart in general. I used to think WM was a great store, right there with not only department store items but groceries also...what better way to do your shopping all in one store...but that is in the past. Since the senior Walton has passed on, it is all about getting the cheapest merchandise from these third world countries and passing that 'cheap made' junk off on the consumer. And since all the stores have done an 'overhaul', they just don't have anything anymore...and the women's clothing section is a garbage heap of this 'hooker type' clothing and nothing else. I have been buying my clothes at KMart instead, at least they have decent styles for grown ups, not just this 'trendy' fashion for the young girls who want to dress like hookers.
As far as the groceries go, I am also seriously debating to start shopping at other stores (Kroger or Meijers)...All the 'usual' stuff that I used to be able to find at WalMart, I can no longer find or I can't find it in the size can/package that I want. Not to mention, pretty soon, all you will be able to find will be WalMart brand groceries on everything...they jack up the price so much on national brand items so that you feel you have to buy their brand. Poor Sam would be turning over in his grave to see what his kids have turned it into. Also, the fact that WalMart is one of the biggest contributors to the illegal alien problem...I know there are more illegals working at our area Walmart's than any other businesses around. To be perfectly honest, it wouldn't sadden me at all to see WalMart stores go out of business just because of these reasons...it is not longer the place to shop and most of the community people where I live agree with me and we have gotten together and made a pact to not go to WalMart unless we positively cannot find our items elsewhere...so far, we have had good luck and haven't shopped WalMart for over a month...and we are doing an e-mail protest with hundreds of friends to join us in this pact...with wonderful and unbelievable results. WalMart for one thing needs to get back to Sam's promise of buying 'AMERICAN MADE' only. We are cutting our own throats by buying all this foreign junk. We (in our community) have decided it's better to pay a little more to get better quality.

green dot credit card
Walmart told me how safe the green dot credit card was She told me that it is so secure that no one can get you money I guess I am one of the no ones because I cant get a dime out of it. I called the 800 number and they don't do anything but ask info and to another recording.
This is one of those walmart ripoff's I fear that all my info is sold and my credit will be runt by walmart.

If the card has not been registered you will not be able to use it. To register a Green Dot pre paid card, federal law requires us to obtain, verify and record your name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number. We use security measures that comply with federal law to protect any personal information submitted to register a card. Once registered and you receive a personalized card, you will be able to use it anywhere Visa or MasterCards are accepted. The temporary card is only good in the United States and cannot be used for PIN based purchases. The cards are FDIC insured and we have done our best to communicate our fees on our website and packaging. If you would like to learn more about our cards or features you may visit our website at www.greendot.com.
Greendot is an independent company that is not owned or manager by Walmart. Walmart has no responsibility concerning that product. I've used greendot for over a year and I've never had any problem with it. You buy the initial card, Visa or Master Card, and then load it using the reload cards sold separately. You can call the number on the back of the card to load the moneypack on to the debit card or you can do the same thing on-line. If you're too dumb to figure that out it's not Walmart's fault.
You're reverse is backwards to every single car sold in the United States, you fail to tell this to the people at the service counter, but it's their fault? Eliminate yourself form the gene pool, please.
customer service
I purchased online three cell phones with service card bundles. After waiting over a week for the phones to arrive I called the Straight Talk customer service. After going around and around with broken english out sourced techs I was informed my order had been canceled due to phones being out of stock. I was NEVER notified about this!. Then I was told it would be fifteen days for a refund! Minus a restocking fee! For phones I had never received?. Once again WALMART fails! And I have taken this to an attorney thats advocates for consumers who are being RIPPED OFF!

I am dealing with this exact issue. My advise to people interested in using Straight Talk. The plan is a good one, but DO NOT buy your phone from the website. Purchase it directly from Walmart. The Customer Service is horrible.
photolab employee
I was an employee at the photo-center at walmart. I had no problems training any of the new employees until about December 2010. We got a new member to our team but her mother was the personnel manager and at least half of the assistant managers, including the one who interviewed her, were family friends. So of course she got the job. Training her was very hard. She fought us and didn't listen. She wouldn't help customers or answer the phones. She would make us do everything and when she got left alone, when things went wrong she would call other Photolab employees at home, even once they have quit their job. She gets very irritable around customers and isn't clear when she answers their questions. She gets away with a lot of stuff that everyone else in the lab would get in trouble for. She has more freedom in her work schedule than any of us did as well. For the first 3 weeks she came in whenever she wanted to, whereas everyone had gotten their schedule the first week they got there. I don't believe that she should be allowed to work their unless she gets treated like other employees. Customers had complained about her a couple times, normally a manager would have confronted the employee for this concern and even coached that employee.

We have a similar situation in our bakery, former employee got rehired after 6 years away, this lady is mentally unstable, got rehired because she said she was willing to work any shift, and now is always complaining about her hours, and always trying to switch shifts with others despite them always saying no, repeatedly! So, she thinks that because she worked at the bakery for a short time so many years ago, that she has seniority over even the gals who have been there for the whole of the past 6+ years, and they are getting tired of it real quick... why wont the managers just fire this rehire! She doesn't even work, she's already been out on FMLA for 10 days for" her back"...SHE'S STILL IN HER FIRST 30 days! Because of her being out I picked up her schedual, so far 2 days in, I've worked 24 hours, and somehow I have to cut my time cause our Walmart doesn't allow overtime UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:... one thing we must change! You work em! You keep em! Thanks for reading.
kathy
I would like to tell you about my experience int the eye care center. I had an appointment there today at 4:00. I arrive there around 3:40. I was waiting to be called in when a woman comes in and ask if there were any openings or cancellations. Tthe 3:30 didn't show up because the next thing I knew..."Kathy" was bringing her into the examining room. I was VERY UPSET to say the least! Kathy saw me sitting there! She was the one who told me to take a seat! Kathy should have let me go in and have the woman that just came in follow me! I did not get in till after 4:30! A young man came up to me and apologized and offered me a 10% discountt! WOW! I thought 10% off is an insult! He couldn't have offered me 20% for the time I wasted waiting there because she was put in front of me! Almost 45 minutes? Kathy didn't even apologizegize to me! I THINK THAT STINKS! I will never to there again for my glasses

WAL-MART VISION...Dont ever do business with these idiots! I paid my portion of my glasses and lenses that my insurance did not cover. I knew I was going to pay at least $120.00 out of pocket. I had no issues with that. I get my exam done, and arrange to come back in a few days to pick up my NEW glasses(new frames, new lenses). I had the glasses less than a week, and my right lens popped out. I took my NEW glasses back 3 times, and on the 3rd time, they gave me new frames with the old lenses in them. Hmmm, okay, I figured there was something wrong with the frame, and these so called professionals knew what they were doing...Nope, The problem started all over again! I took them back yet again, and I was told that the lenses were not "scored" propely, and too bad, now the warranty was up, and no refund, or new lenses. I will never do business there again!
dont stand behind their money orders
Buyer beware they will not refund their money orders you have to give moneygram 15 and 30 30 days to cancel a money order I took mine back to walmart with the purchase receipt the money order stub and the money order and they then pulled out a binder with a list of these hidden fees and details. Now I'm stuck with a $500 worthless peice of paper
Just wait the time to make sure it hasnt been cashed and if it is lost they will replace it . I worked with moneygram before and yes there is a 15.00 fee but that is all . That is part of the risk of money orders. Cashier checks from the bank are the same way.

cant ever get money
This is the first time in my life that Ive submitted a complaint of any kind, but this is
the worst experience I think Ive ever had! First of all, the card has NO PROBLEM accepting refunds from there store(instead of getting your cash back) But BEWARE! If you think the money will show up on your card within 24 hours GOOD LUCK! Im a single mother, and every penny I earn is pinched and stretched to the max! With that being said, when I decide to recieve my refund to my card, I axpect for it to be available! If I knew it wouldnt show up after 2 days Id have gotten my cash back (since I had a reciept and Payed in cash for the item I was returning!) BAD Buisness if you ask me!

On or about January 3, I went into this Walmart, like I had twice a week for almost 4 years, accompannied by a young woman with whom I was barely acquainted. Read full review of Walmart and 1 commentwrongful termination
Oct 19 2010 was terminated due to prior coachings, and productivity, and yet I had exceeds and meets on my last review. Also my coaching had 2-3 months before it was off my record. This was shortly after reporting to OSHA about safety concerns I had with working with faulty equipment, and work conditons. Here is just a tast of those conditions mentioned below, on this unethical treatment ; managers wanted backroom of over a houndred pallets, to be cleared with just four unloaders, and on the floor before 10pm at night after we the unloaders, set the backroom up for the unload of two trailors of 1800 and 1900 pieces, and both trucks can not take more than 2 hours to unload. We arrive at 4pm and it takes 1 hour max to set up and clear the backroom of vender pallets, and trash to set blank pallets down for unloading the trucks, this also includes an hour lunch. This also includes the idle threats made by managers that we the unloader are expendable, and there are others waiting to take our jobs if we can not perform the task, this is just one of the many statements they have made. I have all the documents from OSHA pics, vid, and my personal file, prof of gross misconduct, harassment, and wrongful termination, as well as statements from former colleges of safety issues, complaints to managers of work conditions, character witnesses that would give statements of my work eithics, and questionable closing documents for the reasons of my termination, given my personal file results of my last review.

Many a times when we are searching for a job, we are unsure of how address any previous employment issues like termination or gaps on our resumes. We want to make ourselves look good, but we also don’t want to be caught up in a lie. No matter what led to your termination, it’s important to be honest and confident.

That looks like the Wal-Mart in Stockton Ca., well most of them look the same anymore.
You have a little trouble in your issue with your coaching documentation however the date of that coaching and your complaint to osha may be what needs to be looked at.
Secondly California is an at-will state meanning your employer can terminate you for any reason with one exception. Every large company has an employee handbook that specifies the dicipline proceedures and in that handbook it will explain diciplinary action taken from minor issues that require progressive dicipline steps such as a first, second, and third counseling (coaching) then termination. The handbook will also cover gross misconduct for immediate termination in the event you steal from the company to include stict policy rules that are identified in the handbook. This is the exception area that I am speaking about, when a company fails to follow its own rules and proceedures it is considered a wrongful termination in the state of California. Your issue is amplified by the fact you made an Osha complaint and the motivation for your termination was based on retaliation.
Key facts that will make a case for you, Date of your coaching, Date of your Osha complaint, Date of your good review, and Date of your termination [protected]).
A company can make resonable demands on its employees for work related activities to include holding you accountable for unrelistic goals and just being treated bad is not a violation of the labor laws, it is the context of what bad is such as raising their vioce or yelling is not a violation of the law or bad as in racial comments, a persons weight, or making sexual gestures and comments is a violation of the Law.
broke glass frame with switched lenses
Here is a copy of my letter dated August 2, 2010, that I sent to Walmart Home Office. I have yet to receive an response, not even an apology.
I have recently visited Vision Care to have my eyes examine and to order new lenses for my eye glasses. Everything leading up to and including my eye examination with Marcus Meadows was professional. Everything thereafter was just sloppy, but not until I picked up my glasses Friday July 30, did I realized the scope of the sloppiness.
The associate broke my eye glass frames while trying to replace the old lenses with the new ones. My $275 frames were no longer useable. Both the store manager and the associate knew the importance of these glasses to me. I had purchased the frames in Germany. I was disappointed and shocked when the store manager came out to tell me that my glasses had been broken while trying to take out the right lens of my glasses. The store manager gave me damaged frames with an apologize and refund for the lenses of $189.
In addition, the Office Manager stated that “this is why we don’t like to put new lenses in frames that a customer brings in.” However, both the manager and associate initially assured me that Vision Care could put new lenses in my old frames. Had either one warned me of the possibility of damaging my glasses, then I would have not moved ahead in purchasing new lenses for my eye glass frame.
I returned to another optometrist where I had purchased my original frames. I called Vision Care and requested faxing my prescription to this optometrist store which was done. When the optometrist examined my glasses, she discovered that my the lenses in the broken frames had been reversed. That is, my right lens, the stronger one, was placed in the left eye glass frame and the right in the opposite one. I recalled mentioning to the associate after she took out the lenses for measuring that something was different about my glasses and continued to think so for nearly a week while awaiting my new lenses. She assured me that they were the same lenses. She didn’t even check. The associate had mistakenly reverse them (left lens for the right eye; the right lens for the left eye). This is clearly demonstrating a lack of skill and carelessness on her part and partly explains why she broke my frames.
I’m angry about my broken frames, imported from Germany-- but my sense is that this could have been prevented had the associate been a little more careful had she return the lenses to their correct side. Then my frame breakage would not have happened.
To date I have not received a response from either the local store or from Walmart Home Office.
Um, this could have been prevented by not getting eyeglasses at Walmart. Duh! If you cared so much about your frames, why did you go to someplace like Walmart for your lenses? Of course they are cheap...whatcha expect?

water injected in to meat products
Hello
I think your Pork / Beef - Chicken has to much water added to it.
Your lower price on products are offset by weight of water added. Looks like bait and switch to me. Selling water for .20 cent's an ounce's is a great idea (For Walmart) $25 per gallon approximately $3 per pound. Motor Oil in your automotive department is only about .10 cents per ounce. Your low price are not so low when you factor in water added and its not noted on the label. I look forward to your reply Thank you Glen

DO people really have the time to complaint about stupid things? Just don't buy it and buy it from a butcher that sells their "FRESH" (supposedly) product for double the price. LOL. I think your head is actually injected with stupidity for even posting this complaint. Just to let you know, I do not work for walmart. HAHA
Just don't buy it.
theft during walmart oil change
I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change at Walmart in early Jan 2011. During the oil change, I did some shopping in the store. Unfortunately, I got the oil changed but had my IPOD stolen from the compartment between the two front seats. They also took the cord connecting the IPOD to the sound system. I did not discover the IPOD missing for a week or so, so it makes it difficult to prove -- this is what these dishonest employees conunt on. Beware, do not leave your valuables unsecured in the car duing a Walmart oil change.
It's not just at walmart. You do need a brain you can get stuff stolen out of your car any wher by anyone. I put everything in the trunk of my car but I get it serviced any where or by anyone. This is the real world there are alot of bad people you just need someone to blame for your mistakes.
here here shannon--you must be nuts to leave expensive items in your car like that--maybe it wasn't there and you just wanted to claim it on insurance--grow a brain or quit your scamming
Well DUH!. It says that plain as day at any oil change place. That is why they have those big signs that says they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Why would you leave your ipod where a stranger could get thier hands on it anyway?
selling expired dairy products
This Walmart is selling expired yogurt so please be very careful. I've tried telling their employees about expired yogurt but nothing has been done. I came across this incident on January 3, 2011 and just recently January 28, 2011. The same product and the same expiration date 12-10-10 on both occasions. These yogurts are my kid’s favorite. I believe this was the cause of us getting sick on Dec 2010 with terrible stomach aches. We had to take medication for days. My family and I shopped there because of the prices being lower than other stores but that’s over. I rather pay more for the better of my family’s health. Plus no matter how rushed I am I will now make it a habit to check for expiration on all food products period.
There ya go! you just answered your own complaint. Check the expiration dates before you buy them. Remove perishable items from the BACK of shelf, to get the freshest products.
racial profiling
Today my family and I, went to the Northside WalMart in lethbridge one hour a way from home. We were there to buy supplies for our baby. Didn't take long for security to start following us around. Personally I'm sick and tried of this happening to us, what can we do about this?
The first comment is to the white lady who had the child and was perfectly satisfied with being followed. It may have been warranted. I find sometimes certain people come to stores just so their children can have a playground to play in. I'm thinking that was the case. So brovo for your shadow. The second comment is for the person who was followed from clothes rack to clothes rack; ever been shopping while black ? It is easy to have snyde things to say about real issues when you have never experienced them, especially on regular bases. I am a middle aged african-american woman (but I look younger) and spend literally thousands of dollars in Walmart yearly but I always experience racial profiling. I have observed the act being perpetuated on the african-american youths often also. I have a problem with you people that don't overtly admit that there are some real unresolved racial issues . However, comments like "just get over it" and attempting to compare a white experience in a store with a african-american or black experience in a store situation, speaks volumes. I believe insensitivity and hatred is what makes people say things like "get over it". When somebody is disrespectful to a white person continuously it's an issue but african-americans should just get over it. We put on the back burner far too much already. It is time that we stopped just getting over it . Walmart and many other stores practice racial profiling or they support it by turning a blind eye, kind of like your comments indicate. No all negative things do not have a racial base, most things do, however. As for teaching our children racism, children learn from their experiences. If they do not experience racism, they will not learn racism. So, don't YOU teach my children racism(we wouldn't because that is not OUR nature) and if it's all the same to you, I have learned enough of it also. So, covertly and overtly you can stop teaching us now . We already know what racism is and contrary to your belief we do know how to recognize it.
yeah I go to Zellers all the time but stopped going there because of being followed around (and I KNOW I am being followed because I go really early when it first opens and there is hardly anyone else is in the store, and I am literally followed from cloths rack to cloths rack and being watched so they are not exactly subtle) and I am a middle aged white woman. All your complaints seem to cry racism. You will never be a happy person until you stop that nonsense and move on with your life. And by the way don't teach that attitude to your child.
Security follows me around and I'm white.
